A couple notes, first there are plenty of sexy panties that will cover all your bits. I have quite a few pairs, some are easier than others. Something like this or this are small, but work well for me if I let my clitty run along one of the sides. If your pads contain synthetic toppers and absorbent materials like bamboo, microfiber, etc be aware that these are harder to thoroughly clean than something that is pure cotton or cotton and fleece only.

Okay, if we've addressed what you're using, we need to look at how you're cleaning them:

While you can do a prerinse (use detergent and if needed softener!) in the machine, the cheaper option that only takes a minute of extra work is to just dump them in the sink with cold water and detergent, swish and soak for a bit, and then dump them into your laundry.

I have a lot of nude underwear so I agree with u/newnameyomamma that it is much less obvious under white t-shirts, pants, etc. With the Amazon link I posted you can select from many different colors and patterns. These are the only panties I've ever found that don't give me a wedgie. They wrap all the way around my butt from hip to undercheek. Sure, they aren't sexy, but they do come in cute colors. I think the key to these are the leg holes. They go around the whole top of the leg so there's no way the butt can migrate down (or the fabric migrate up?) creating a wedgie or an excess material situation.

I can't stand cheekies - they are like a thong but without the benefit of being invisible under clothes. Cheekies just seem to creep up and then sub divide my but so I have an underwear line in the middle of my cheeks. Not practical at all for me.

I'm in the same boat - 3 kids, 3 c/s. I can't help you with the cheekies but lately I've been finding that a few styles of the Just My Size panties hit in that sweet spot between high waisted and just below the belly button so that my apron stays covered but they don't look like granny panties. It's a good, affordable compromise for me. As for the material, I just spray some jock itch powder under my apron everyday and it's never a problem - even through heavy workouts. Probably the cheapest are something like Hanes nylon/microfiber options. Or Fruit of the Loom.

They're about $2-ish. The only issue is that you can't choose colors online usually, but they're available in all the stores like Target and the like.

I usually get fruit of the loom or hanes. Both brands have lasted me years while underwear from other places like VS fall apart in a few months. These are the last ones I bought recently. They're super soft. And they're not fancy so they make for good whatever panties or period panties.
