D. I'd suggest reading Good Omens by Neil Gaiman. It's a little less sci-fi, but still a bit fantasy in that it's an angel and demon trying to stop the apocalypse. Hilarious book and brilliant writing. Gaiman also wrote a graphic novel for Marvel for 1602 that I haven't had the chance to read, but hear it's great. But I'm guessing you probably already know who the author is since one of his books are already on your list. I'd also suggest Prey by Michael Crichton. It's about a loose swarm of nanobots escaped from a laboratory.

Cufflinks are AWESOME! To me they are one of the few pieces of jewelry that is very exclusive to men, but, for some reason is not often shined on. I get that a watch could be considered men's jewelry as well but since smartphones they have really dwindled down it seems.


Cufflinks can be a very nice way of expressing yourself. There are so many out there just ripe for fun and adding a small piece of flair to your style. I personally now strive for french cuff shirts as best I can. Its amazingly fun to find new links in interesting styles. I think of them as almost earrings for men in a way.

If you are in a business setting then standard silver, simple, style is the way to go. But come off the clock or regular hours, rock something fun! I have some Tardis ones, silver gear shift knobs, Rebel Alliance insignias (still waiting on my starfleet insiginias... ) Hell for fun I got some with little bubble levels in them

Point is: cufflinks get a bad rap I think. Its harder to find the shirts but its not impossible. Its a fun way to add a little more to your style and if you like em, rock em! You just don't have to own super high-dollar links, but, if so make sure they are special.

I think for specifically what you're looking for, a custom piece from etsy will probably be the best bet. HOWEVER...I'll share an anecdote: my FH decided he wanted a tungsten ring, so we went shopping at a jeweler. The clerk helping us kept trying to sell us gold or platinum, and when we told him we were firmly decided on Tungsten, he confided that we should buy through Amazon, since it was the exact same thing for 1/10th of the price, and that the owner of the store even sometimes ordered from Amazon when his supplier didn't come through in time, and then would just mark up the tungsten a crap ton.

So, I went on Amazon and sure enough I found the exact ring FH and I had looked at for an insanely lower price. I bought it, and then saw the exact same style in titanium. Since they were so inexpensive and Amazon is so awesome, I decided to order both and let my FH try them on and decide which he liked best, with the intent to return the other(s) (but of course, did I follow through? No. FH has six band options sitting in my house now, lol).

Anyway, FH tried the tungsten on one hand and the titanium on the other, and surprised us both after a few hours saying he liked the titanium better. SO, it might not be a bad idea to order a titanium ring on Amazon if you can find one cheap and letting your FH compare the feel/weight of the rings!

I use both of these types of pins: this one I use to secure my scarf after I'm all done. I use these ones to secure my scarf at the top of my head and on the sides. I like to keep my hijab very close to my head.

It doesn't matter what kind of underscarf I use, they ALL seem to slide back over my ears. That's one of the reasons I wear my hijab like this: one, two, three although this one is entirely of one piece, I think.


I've also tried these types of headbands: one, two, and three. I use two of those mainly, but my favorite, even though it slides over my ears, is this one: mine is white. I like this one a lot because my hair is long, I don't always want a high ponytail or a bun, so I can do a low ponytail and stuff all the rest of my hair into this. Keeps my hair good and secure.

I don't know how these other girls keep their underscarves/undercaps from sliding and exposing their ears, but unless I'm wearing my hijab loosely, like this lady.

That only usually happens if we're in a hurry and then the whole time I'm feeling naked because I can feel the air/wind on my ears VERY VERY WELL and it freaks me out. My hubby finds it amusing I get so freaked out by it ;)

In the same visit I was looking at steel rings. Found one I loved, and ordered it on Amazon.com for 10% of what they wanted.

At the end of the day, we got burritos and beers and spent less than $100 on our rings. And we love them.

This is my wedding band and it's perfect. The best part was we found it here on Amazon. We looked for a tungsten men's band at jewelry shops and they were several hundreds (some thousands) of dollars. No thanks! I got sized in a shop, picked one from Amazon for under 20 dollars and showed it to my wife. We've been married for 3 years and it still looks and fits great! My little tip to couples getting married is to save on men's bands by buying from Amazon. Hope this helps someone!

Hey all - new here.

I've been looking at rope/cord bracelets and I want to buy one. However, one of the main "features" I want from is that is that I never want to take it off. Ideally, I'd like to sleep, shower, workout, sauna, and everything without ever taking it off.

Do you know any that might fit this bill? Or at least materials that would?
Something simple like this is what I'm looking for, although some of the nicer nautical ones like this would be cool too if it met the requirements.

It depends on the style you're going for, since you said you're wearing a silver bracelet I'm going to assume you don't want anything too casual like surfer/skater looking stuff. I've seen bracelets like this on men and liked them a lot.
or this one for something a little more casual.

But that's my preference, I love jewelry on men. I unfortunately have very little advice on your necklace choice because I prefer a small gold or silver chain (maybe with a small tasteful pendant) or rubber/leather again with a tasteful pendant.
