I have this. It is reasonably priced and I am very happy with it but, it will not seat more than 4 comfortably.

You may be interested in this. It is also very reasonably priced but, it is a full height table. It shouldn't cost much to get a local crafter to work on the legs. If you have the DIY skills, I see a fairly straightworward solution in a "hole and pin" expandable steel leg. Someting like this.

If you have $1k to spend, there is this. When not in use it sits against the wall like a console table or desk but, expands to seat up to 12 people. The first time I saw it was on youtube. This thing is amazing.

I don't see any problem with a round table (especially a drop-leaf), but if you want something narrow so that you can pass between the table and the couch, you might want to look for a rectangle shaped table. Are you looking for something lower or higher?

You could go for a simple drop-leaf or mid-century (one, two) bistro table or something more modern, like a pub table (one, two, three). Either way, I'd encourage you to mix & match chairs to suit your style and comfort level, since sometimes dining sets can look a bit dated or cheap.

Another tip for your plant fantasies I've suggested to others before - add a shelf or two across the window for some extra storage/light. Maybe hang some around the window as well.

Table Talk.

It's a lot larger than the picture shows, To get a good context, it takes up the same amount of space as a couch.

But the cool thing about it is I can fit my huge PC case, 2 external harddrives, an Xbox 360, A ton of papers and books on it, Yet still have enough room to clear the desk to have room to draw etc... It's stronger than anything else you can get for the price. But the only thing someone might be picky about is the colour.

Also there's enough room for me to use a keyboard, mouse and graphics tablet without being cramped.

There's no need to salvage and reverse engineer old parts. You can easily get everything you need from Ebay/Aliexpress 3D printer/CNC supply stores. A project like this could be done with like half the cost and complexity of a $150 DIY 3D printer kit.

EDIT2: Instead of using an XY carriage setup you could make the same patterns by spinning the sand tray slowly and using one shorter linear actuator to move the marble in and out from the center. I think that would make it more mesmerizing and potentially easier to program patterns for.

Shoot I'm late!

For sale: This table. Gorgeous dark wood table, perfect for a kitchen table for tall people or a fancy dining room table. Very versatile. Comes with a storage space on the bottom and a leaf which expands the table to comfortably fit 6 people.

This table has never been used and will be sold unassembled. This retails for $250 I am asking $150 or best offer. The reason for selling it is it arrived minorly damaged. It needs a little sand papering to fix minor splintering and a few nails in the tabletop and one of the side panels to put pieces together. Aside from the nails, the damage is purely aesthetic and some light TLC will make this a beautiful addition to your home.

As said, the sofa should go on the long wall to the left of the kitchen. Your seating should never leave your back to the front entrance. Hang the tv on the shorter wall if possible. It's okay if the section covers that first window. Adding drapes and a plant to the opposite corner will fill it out.

If you don't already have a table, I highly recommend a counter-height table (similar to this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G2N1UL6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_1Njmzb6EHNRK1) and set it up to act as an island when not in use for dining. Keep the chairs only on the outside of the kitchen and store the extra chairs as bar stools along the outside of that counter next to the living room (since that looks like that's what it is set up for). It's a beautiful space.

I had a kitchen almost exactly like this in an old apartment, but it didn't have the open shelving!

The best thing I did was add a collapsing table like this: Haotian Wall-Mounted Drop-Leaf Table, Folding Kitchen & Dining Table Desk, Solid Wood Children Table,Home Office Table Desk Workstation Computer Desk with Storage Shelves, Trestle Desk (FWT03-W) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004CE4ACE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_dxCQDb5D4VZCX.

Each 27 inch monitor is 23.5 inches wide without bezels. Being generous, assume a quarter inch bezel per side, that's 2 feet wide for each monitor.

So your center monitor being 2 feet wide will leave a foot and a half on each side. That puts your monitors at a 41.5 degree angle inwards from the rear horizontal desk edge, if you don't want them overhanging the sides. That's really tight.

May I suggest a single 27 and a 34 inch ultrawide? That would save you a little desk space and give you very similar screen area. They would be the same screen height. Probably cheaper too.

Otherwise I'd say go with 24's.

5ft by 2ft deep desks are really easy to come by. 3 feet tall is quite tall. Most desks are about 30 inches instead of 36, so that will be your main thing to look for. Try looking at breakfast bar units perhaps for that sort of height. A nice butcherblock top would be sturdy for no vibration, durability, and the ability to arm mount monitors. Alternatively a "counter height table" would work. Heres a nice 3x5 one thats 3 feet tall.

I have considered it. I basically don't want to worry about installing it (leveling, finding studs, etc.) and putting holes in the wall. I think this one is the closest I've seen to what I'm looking for. The price is just a little high. Also, I realized that 55" long is going to be too big for the space. Probably around 36" would be good.

u/Chiinori · 18 pointsr/CozyPlaces

It's this one from Amazon. It's pretty good quality for the price, but I wouldn't recommend this if you're tall, since your knees would hit the metal parts connecting the legs.

And if you wanted something for formal dinners you could get something that folds up like this
