It's hard to say - my son was 6lbs 12oz at birth and ended up wearing NB sizes for two months.

Knowing what I know now, I'd go with something like this -

Newborn:

Two packs of these sleep gowns - so you'll have 6 total. This is what my son wore... 80% of the time for a few months. Night and day - they allow the easiest access for diaper changes, especially with a sleeping baby. And no buttons or zippers to fuck with at 3am. Seriously - the best.

One Pack of the Gerber Onesies - so you've got 8 onesies that can be bleached if you need to.

One Pack of Leggings/Pants - so you'll have 4 pants total that you can throw over the onesies if you need to layer up.

One Pack of Socks - this is my favorite brand. They've never fallen off of my son in 17 months. As a newborn I'd put them on and pull them up over his pants and that helped keep them on before his feet grew big enough to hold them up. The pack I got were white, which don't seem to be available right now on Amazon, but if you can find white - DOOO EEEET. No one wants to try to match up 24 socks when they're sleep deprived. Just do white. Also - wash these in a mesh bag so they don't get lost to the sock monster.

Two Packs of Fleece Footies - depending on how cold it gets, fleece or cotton zipper footies. 4 pairs total will get you through the times you don't want to dress baby but need to be able to buckle her into a carset (which you can't do with the gowns).

That's pretty much all my son wore for months, barring like... his Christmas outfit, etc.

For 0-3 Months it's basically the same thing, just sized up. You'll figure out pretty quick which clothes work best for you and how many you need. My son, for example, ended up having horrible reflux. He spit up more than 10 average babies combined - so I think we ended up with around 50 onesies in 3-6 month sizing that all got worn multiple times. We went through around 7 outfit changes a day, even with bandanna bibs. So - lots of laundry. Also noteworthy is that this is when he started daycare, so we needed extra onesies for his earthquake kit, his emergency kit, his cubby, his diaper bag, etc - at least 7-10 onesies stashed places that never actually got used (so... save the godawful onesies you got as gifts but thought you'd never use for these emergency kits!).

But honestly - get you some Amazon Prime and your problems will be solved. Underbuy what you think you'll need clothing wise, and then when it becomes apparent that you need more of X, Y, or Z, load up your Amazon cart and you'll have it in two days.

I bought this mesh laundry bag from Amazon.

I can fit my XL Chest Protector in it. I run it through my agitator-less washing machine. After a full season of use I usually put it through a couple of cycles and it comes out smelling brand new.

I have Warrior Catcher/Blocker with removable liners, I throw them in the mesh bag along with my neck guard and a few other pieces.

I have used Magic Erases/Lectric Shave to remove puck marks in the off season. Then I coat with Snow-Seal to help treat the synthetic materiel's that the lectric shave dries out. Nash makes a product called puck-off I have read good things about it, I am going to give a try this off season.

As far as maintaining:

I have a boot dryer that I put my gloves and skates on after every skate. Everything else gets hung up to air dry.

I wash my jock, jersey, socks, undershirt after every game.

Aerie and Agent Provocateur if you want something upline.

You also have to consider how you're washing it though, because even expensive AP will fall apart if you're just tossing it in the washer. Ideally, you'd handwash it with something like woolite that's really gentle and then dry it on low/gentle in a bag like this: https://www.amazon.com/Large-Lingerie-Bag-Laundry-Delicates/dp/B0145ZCOT0

Mesh laundry bags will help protect your clothing from snags (button, zippers, hooks etc) as well as help to keep their shape (sweaters etc). Other than towels and sleepwear I put everything in laundry bags. I use four of these and they've held up well over time.

I poop/hay sweep the cage 2x a day. Replace the top pads mid-week, clean the cage once a week. I made my own fleece cage liners and pads, but if you prefer, you can purchase something off of Etsy or a lot of people go with Guinea Dad (they are expensive).

For washing, they get washed in a gentle detergent & distilled, white vinegar. The vinegar acts as a deodorizer and natural fabric softener. If you are concerned about hay/fur in your washing machine, you can put the fleece into horse blanket wash bags.

These mesh bra bags with a plastic cage have been strong enough to put my bras in with regular laundry. AND they fit DDD cups. I still recommend air drying though.

u/slayerboy · 0 pointsr/simpleliving

It seems like they would be more of a hassle than they are worth if you get a leak. I was tempted when I moved to a 3rd floor studio, but I found something better that works for me after going through numerous mesh laundry bags and various plastic hampers.

I can do wash every two weeks and the laundromat near me will do a bag in about an hour. I have coin-op washers and dryers in my apartment but they're regular size and take forever and would require marathons running up and down 3 flights of stairs. This bag has been a lifesaver for me. It looks goofy as hell, but it's the simplest solution I've found. It's not a hassle to carry up 3 flights of stairs, which is the important thing.

u/kitty_muffins · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

There are multiple types of mesh! Currently I use the ones that are a fine synthetic mesh. I used to have bags with much bigger holes, maybe that would help for you? To get more water in and really rinse things out?

Don't throw away your pretty lace things! Just wash smarter. I use these laundry bags and they work great--even in the commercial washers at my local laundromat.

u/EgoFlyer · 8 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

I just got a bra wash bag! I am weirdly excited about being able to wash my bras in the washing machine. It's going to be so awesome! I will have clean bras all the time!

...Which will definitely be a new experience.

u/Louis_Farizee · 2 pointsr/Judaism

Use Woolite, gentle cycle, and hang them up to dry. And tie the tzitzis up in these bags designed to prevent tangling.

Or you can hand wash them. Don't forget what I said about the Woolite, though.

Our changing table/dresser isn't long enough to put a diaper tray on it so we got this diaper caddy to hang off one side. We also picked up this laundry bag to hang off the other side. Our changing table dresser is now a one stop shop.

Love my twinZ pillow.

Mama roo and rock n play. We were advised to not get two of anything before trying it out because both babies may not like it. For us, both babies like both (they have different preferred settings on the mama roo) so we can change up what device they are in.

Drop one t-shirt. Keep the trousers. Don't add more socks. Bring the rain cover. Bring a small bag for dirty clothes (I use this).

Big one here: bring an eye mask and a pack of earplugs. Thank me later.

As for the laptop, I'm not sure about it. I wouldn't worry about theft in SEA (honestly, worry more about other backpackers). I'd worry about pain in the ass and not being able to just chuck your bag around. There's also the chance you'll end up using it a lot.

Personal preference, and you might want the higher quality photos, but what's wrong with just using the iPhone for pictures and uploading them to friends straight from the phone?

I believe there are SD cards that are connected to the internet (might be the camera or a combination of the two, not sure), and I imagine you could upload all images straight from camera to Dropbox, then share them from your phone.

Other than that, looks like a good list. Nothing extraneous really. Good choice on the GR1.

I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want. I really want a job and friends to hang out with. T-T

I sprayed some shout on the toes of my white/white ones then put it in a washer bag like this, threw them on delicate to be safe, and it got it all out.

Underwear, socks, and the like all get thrown onto a laundry loop[laundry loop](Laundry Loops with Sock Snare, Athletic Gold https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H8HXTQB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_mIrSDbV42EY6J). Keeps everybody’s stuff together and makes redistribution a whole lot easier.

u/Knubinator · 2 pointsr/CampingGear

If your bag didn't come with a big storage bag, they sell cotton laundry sacks on amazon that work perfectly for storage.

u/cwcoleman · 3 pointsr/CampingandHiking

I check my camping equipment, because it's normally too big for carry-on.

I typically pack my backpack like I was going to hike. Then put it inside a large duffel bag or cotton sack.

u/SkooterBoiTimmy · 1 pointr/ThriftStoreHauls

You can pick up cotton laundry bags that will do the trick and cost lots less!

  1. Laptop fully loaded with Office (you can get Office 360 which gives access to the important ones, it's a subscription service)

  2. A bank account your parents have access to so they can transfer money to you without going to Western Union or mailing you a check. Transfers within a bank usually go through within the same day. (fixed to make more sense--I was not awake earlier o.o)

  3. A laundry bag that cancels odors

  4. A toaster oven/coffee maker combo
