Ok so I have two dogs...but one of them is actually my dog, while the other is my mom's.

Wall-E is my dog. He's a black lab mix (I'm not sure what he's mixed with...he's a rescue) and currently he will be 4 months old TOMORROW! Wow time flies by! He's the most adorable little thing I've ever seen. He's very lovable, he loves everyone and loves to give kisses. He also likes to snuggle, and play with his treats before he eats them. He has is own vine channel called Wall-E the puppy.

My other dog is Jasper, also a rescue. He's a terrier mix. We got him when he was 3. He's like a cat, he doesn't really play much, he's very grumpy, and he hates kisses and affection. He's not my kind of dog, which is why I'm glad I have Wall-E now. It kinda makes me appreciate Jasper a little more.

Wall-E at 3 months

Wall-E when I first got him

Here are rubber balls my dog can't actually bite into. He can bite them which is great, but he can't possibly destroy it cuz it's hard plastic.
and here is a stuffingless toy that my dog has broken the squeaker on one side, but he hasn't been able to tear it apart yet, and he has sharp puppy teeth, so it's held up pretty well. If you look for it on sale though, you can find it cheaper at Petsmart. I think we got ours for $6.

My item!

Yeah, I remember them with the ribbed texture. The school counselor was the ref in the games, and made sure we didn't throw at the head. Here's one on Amazon. Great fun.

Apparently, there's even specialty dodgeballs that hurt less.

Since we only have a velocity, we'd need the mass of the foam ball. Now, when I played dodgeball in school, we used balls like these, giving us a rough mass of 2.4 ounces. Since the ball initially travelled at 2 mph, then turned to -2 mph, that leaves us with a 4 mph change in velocity.

2.4 ounces = 0.07 kg
4 mph = 0.89 m/s
Impulse = 0.07 * 0.89 = 0.06 kg-m/s

Just based off current baseball demographics, you can probably throw to some degree if you're white or hispanic. There has been a serious decline in the amount of black americans who play baseball.(source) I've met British people who can't throw for shit, but they just don't have any throwing games except kinda cricket, but how many Brits have played outfield in a game of cricket?

USA has throwing games all over the place. Even if it's not baseball, you can buy a set of two pads of velcro and a furry ball and throw to each other. like this. MLB, NBA and NFL all at some point can require throwing(NBA more of a lob i guess?).

Not cheap, but I do enjoy mine.

And I bought the tire patch from Walmart and 2 50# bags of sand from home depot. Make sure you have a funnel as well!

I was going to suggest Toby's ball as well - here it is on Amazon. I got one for myself a while back, I like it a lot.

Well from your post, I would say that you are stressed out. Stress will aggravate your IBS, so I recommend relaxing as much as possible. Find some light exercise that you enjoy, for example, I like to go on walks in the morning when my belly is unhappy. I also find that abdominal exercises help in the morning if i am having some morning sickness. Also yoga helps me control my symptoms. I try to do yoga or light stretching in the morning everyday because it makes me feel good all day. Stress about the symptoms or something else in your life could be causing a physiological response, stress is incredibly powerful in that way. Really focus on reducing stress and being happy. I found this helped the most for me.

I notice that a lot of people who have IBS in general have weak pelvic floor, so i recommend practicing stomach vacuums on an empty stomach.

Look at your posture and try to make it ideal as possible, many people who sit a lot and are stressed often make the psoas incredibly tight. You mentioned some breathing problems, and i would recommend looking into ways to softening the psoas out, such as myofascial release with a slightly deflated ball. That will help with the breathing which in turn will help with the stress. I too struggle with breathing problems sometimes, so take some long deep breaths and if you feel tightness in the belly try to 'breathe into it'. I like to practice breathing exercises with my back and feet on the ground and place the hands over the belly and focus on breathing using only the diaphragm. You should feel the belly rise and fall with each breath. Slow and steady, Especially focus on making the exhale slow, full and complete.

I am genetically lactose intolerant and I struggle with digestion in general. I recommend keep on with the fodmap diet for at least three months. I also supplement with HCL+pepsin before meals heavy in protein or fat. Stress can lower your HCL production in your stomach and it might be in your interest to supplement with them for a while at each meal. I also like to drink hot water with lemon juice first thing in the morning, this helps me evacuate first thing.

I have the bags in this link. After inserting my bra I add a small playground in between the cups. Works well.

Lacrosse balls, pinky balls, a 'stick', TheraCane or its competitors, and my massage therapist has some of these that he recommended yesterday evening as a larger complement to what I already have (I have lacrosse, golf, and pinky balls, and a stick that I used a lot when I was running distance). Having more than one size can be important depending on what you're doing, but I used just pinky balls and a foam roller for years.

u/Moondoggie · 2 pointsr/crossfit

I bought these because they were 12 for $12: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I4MMC2

They start off okay, but they seem to break down quicker than YTUs and wind up much squishier. Still, if you have Prime, you can blaze through all twelve for about the same price of a YTU pair and see what you think.

u/LeprechaunsKilledJFK · 6 pointsr/BikiniBottomTwitter

I looked it up and I think s/he's referring to the brand Gator Skin which makes foam dodgeballs with a synthetic coating that looks and feels nothing like alligator skin and are designed not to hurt. It sounds like the kid who cried was just a wuss.

>because the wind resistance is the same as its mass.

Force =/= mass. You meant to say that terminal velocity is achieved when the air resistance on an object is equal to its acceleration due to gravity.

>Reasonable answer, no math.

The OP asked for the math.

This ball is 25.4cm in diameter, and has a mass of 300 grams (shipping weight). A 25.4cm sphere has a volume of 8580 cm^3, and therefore a density of .00438 grams/cm^3. Assuming a drag coefficient of .4, and falling through air with density 1.29 kg/m^3, the ball would reach terminal velocity at 7.506 m/s = about 16.8 mph. (I cheated, using the calculator here, because it's late and it's been 2 years since I took physics.)

So, your dodgeball hero could potentially release the ball at 85 mph (highly unlikely given the cumbersome nature of nerf balls, and the fact that 85mph is near professional fastball speed), but it would very quickly slow to a maximum of 16.8 mph while traveling through the air.
