I am so glad to see this post because I use Amazon for everything and I have been hoping to see posts where people could help me crack the Amazon code to shopping for clothes online. While there was a recent post it didn't have a whole lot of tips for how to find quality clothing pieces considering so much of it is random no name brands. I am hoping to see more posts made on this topic to give even more information or links to specific items people can vouch for. I don't have any clothes shopping experience thought Amazon but I have bought a decent amount of jewelry from Amazon that I love. Here are some of my favorite jewelry finds:

• X Ring in Sterling Silver - bought during a clinical rotation at a hospital when I needed something for self expression and to help me feel less bored wearing scrubs that was still easy to wear under gloves and through frequent washing. I haven't taken this off in 3 months and its extremely comfortable and beautiful.
  
  
• Stainless Steel Studs - super simple, bold and modern but comfortable. I wear them in my second set of lobe piercings and they are awesome because they screw on so you can't accidentally knock them off. I'm sensitive to certain metal types so I love stainless steel because it doesn't break me out, won't tarnish like sterling can, and its usually cheaper then sterling.
  
  
• Novica Ear Cuffs - Novica is a great company and I just really love how comfortable these are and that you don't need a piercing to wear them. I haven't taken them off since I got them even when sleeping and showering and I don't feel them at all and they are really pretty but stay out of the way.
  
  
• Dopamine Neurotransmitter Necklace - I'm teaching neuroanatomy this semester to graduate rehab students so I kind of needed to have this. Its awesome, the perfect size with an adjustable chain and it blends in enough with my business casual wardrobe to not look out of place but still hints at my love of neuroscience and neuro rehab. I picked dopamine because its significance to the executive processing loops and when you work neuro rehab you learn quickly how essential those are to everyday life task performance.

5. A book you should read. The Red Tent, is a book based on the fictional life of Dinah from the old Testament. She is is mentioned only once I think in the bible, but the author of this book weaves a life story based on how women where treated and lived back then. Dinah lives in a harsh world but learns from the women around her and see the workings of this mysterious entity called God in her world. It is a wonderful read and having to tell you about it reminded me I want it again to reread. Really a great book.

For my mom She loves horses. I once gave her an ornament with a horse on it that meant a lot to her. It's become sort of a tradition to get her an ornament as part of Christmas. This one is soo pretty. :)

Across The Universe (movie). I had a friend who had the soundtrack. We listened to it pretty often. It's worth a watch just for the music alone, but it's a great watch. :)

Useful for zombies? Maybe?It's a knife that fits in your wallet like a credit card. It's at least a weapon that you could always have on you so you're ready at a moments notice. :) If only they made a credit card size folding flame thrower. ;)

This is my second most expensive. My most expensive was the one for not being fat... lol. Before I used a wishlist I just added stuff to my cart and then saved it for later. This is the oldest item I've had stashed away. Every camping trip or competitive horse ride I went on with my mom/parents always involved sitting around the fire talking before heading off to bed. Whenever I get the chance to see them (we live in different states now) we still sit around a fire. This just reminds me of good times spent with family and essentially being home...

Revelling in the cinematic beauty that is The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra! Los Skeleton is literally the funniest movie I've ever seen. I remember my abs hurt so bad afterwards from laughing so hard for so long. My friends and I got all these inside jokes that we still use today, ten years later, that still crack us up.
Well, now that I've played it up to a standard that no movie could ever live up to (I'm sorry, I meant no movie except The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra!) so that you'll surely be underwhelmed by it, regardless of the cinematic masterpiece that it is, all I can say is, "Enjoy!"

Pickers and pluckers unite!!! :D I have true dermotillomania and trichotillomania- I fall into a trance-like state where I can't feel or think much, just have to keep seeking and picking, seeking and plucking. Very hard to break out of. If I'm not careful I'll end up bleeding and with no eyelashes!

I cannot simply "will the urge away," and if I forcefully stop myself the urge returns even stronger (much like any other stim we try to suppress). Stim toys are the ONLY thing that work for me. I specifically love small metal toys with infinite motion (my hands are quite tiny). Here are some of my favorites!

Fidgetland metal fidget - Mar - My favorite design, but all the toys on the Fidgetland site are fantastic, I own many.

Metal Bar Spinner - Nice matte finish that I love the feel of

Roller Chain Fidget Toy - Perfect for that "roll around the finger" feel

Magnetic Balls - Tons of fun, fully engaging toy, doubles as desk art

Spinner Ring - It's jewelry so it's always there when the urge strikes, gives a great twirling/spinning sensation. Brand matters a lot- I've had the most luck with the chains on this brand after a small break-in period.

Loophole Spinners - pricey and often out-of-stock, but I tend to use my loophole spinner the most.

The Orbiter - pricey but again, one of my favorites. I recommend the ones made of harder metals. The aluminum one feels great but dents easily (I like the clicky sound from the magnet so I'm quite rough with this toy).

2. The person I love the most would have to be my father. I guess I was always "daddy's little princess" :P When ever me and my mom got into stupid (typical mother-daughter) arguments he was always the one who would stand up for me and cheer me up. He also will never hesitate to drop anything he's doing to help me...whether it's hanging a picture frame, putting together my fan or bed ("damn swedes make everything difficult"), or picking me up from school or a friends house when I'm sick. Like last night I had been throwing up, so I couldn't sleep in my room (CAN'T ruin the new furniture!) so he helped me carry all my stuff down 2 flights of stairs at one in the morning when I could have done it myself. He also never fails to make me laugh. He's one of those funny-quiet types, you have to really pay attention to him to see his hilarity :P My dad's probably the only reason why I was able to stay sane living with my family (although he's probably more insane then the rest of us!) He's also always been a hero to me because he's been a volunteer firefighter for my entire life (he'll have been with the local FD for over 20 years) and always sacrifices his time either to help random people, or help one of his "brothers" from the FD with any little random things they need. I could probably go on forever about him, so I'll end it here :P

Okay, haha, I just found this ring in my random searching today and thought it was hilarious. Perhaps you might enjoy the ridiculous humor of it as well? All joking aside, this pocket watch made me stop and stare for the longest time. I can't believe it's under five bucks. Also, I am of the strong belief that everyone needs a head massager for those stressful days that just won't quit. You should also have a keychain flashlight for any emergencies that may arise (trust me, this thing comes in so handy). And since this one is solar powered, you don't have to worry about the batteries running dry at the worst possible moment on earth. This keychain key ring is super sturdy, and it's actually less than one dollar! What could be better! Hrm, purse organizers are super handy as well. But I think perhaps the best under five dollar item I've come across lately is this portable dinnerware kit, in case you need utensils on the go.

CAUTION: SWEEPING GENERALIZATIONS AHEAD

There's no specific guidelines for when to get a specific kind of jewelry, but before you get a bracelet, consider whether she likes to wear bracelets. If you never see her wear earrings, don't get her earrings. As for rings, I've received rings as non-engagement gifts and it's never been weird at all, but your mileage may vary. If you're going to get a ring, I would get a silver ring, and if it has a stone, it shouldn't look anything like a diamond. It should look as little like an engagement ring as possible. She should not think for even one second that you might be proposing, it's just asking for trouble.

The best way to start is to look at things she already owns to get a sense of her style. I think that guys don't always recognize the distinctions between similar pieces of jewelry, so they're more inclined to get something that's completely different from anything their girlfriend has, rather than something similar to what she already owns. That's not always a good idea, because if something looks different from everything she owns, there's probably a reason...that is, she probably doesn't like that style of jewelry, or doesn't think it looks good on her. You don't want to get something that looks exactly like something she already has, but it's generally better to go for things that are similar.

Here are some things to consider (any links are not necessarily recommendations, just examples of whatever type of jewelry I'm talking about)...

Does she usually wear:

• Silver or gold?
  
  
• Fine, delicate stuff or bigger, chunkier stuff (sometimes called "statement jewelry")?
  
  
• Things with gemstones, or just plain silver or gold? Enamel? Pearls? Remember that "gemstone" =/= expensive. There are plenty of semi-precious stones that are pretty and affordable if you think she'd like something with some color, like amethyst, garnet, peridot and topaz.
  
  

Oh boy. I really think your best option may be to go into a jewelry store, and probably a pretty nice one, and talk about a custome one. Your ring is gorgeous, so you really don't want something that almost works.

Otherwise, I found this article which says that if you have a stunning stand alone engagement ring, get a stunning stand alone wedding band that you wear on your right hand. I think that could be an awesome solution to not lose the beauty of your ring.

I am not married yet, but I purchased this ring as my wedding band for $45. It matches my engagement ring, I’m happy with the quality, and like the fact that I was able to return it for free to make sure I got the right size. I don’t need anything too flashy, and I keep telling myself I can always upgrade to something more expensive if and when we have the funds to do so in the future.

If you’re happy with something understated that allows your e-ring to stand out, I think it’s a great option!

This is the weighted blanket that my mom got me for Christmas. It has the weight guidelines too. Mine is 25lbs and my sister's is 20lbs. I absolutely love it. Also, the same company has corresponding duvet covers for them to keep them easy to clean. I just got a simple cotton one, but they also have minky ones and whatnot.

Also - this is one of the best fidget toys I've ever found. It comes in more masculine colors too, but it's basically a fidget ring. I put it on my forefinger and spin it with my thumb. I love that it's discreet, doesn't make noise, and is easy to use.
