Thanks! It took like a year to save up and finally build.
My tv is not an lg but a samsung and I am not using it as a monitor.
I would test this but it hasn't gotten a black screen in like 2 hours so ima test this out tomorrow if the black screen continue to happens.
I have just update my mobo bios, gpu drivers, and cpu drivers and it is still happening.
I have tried every DP port and it does the same thing, I have also tried a different cable. (This is the cable I am using for my monitor)
I doubt my monitor is over heating because its in a pretty cold room and when I touch the back side it doesn't feel hot at all
My temps are pretty solid even when under load so I doubt it is that.
It does it whenever im gaming or just using chrome.
Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
Like SketchTop, I use the Dazzle for N64,Gamecube, Wii, PS1, and PS2 games. If you want to record in HD, I recommend the Hauppauge HD-PVR.

Note that you will need to buy some extra cables like:
S-video Cables
Component Cables
You may also need a distribution amplifier for the Dazzle depending on how you want your setup.

Hope this helped. I'm a fairly new LPer so feel free to disregard my recommendations if someone who is more experienced offers different advice. Feel free to read customer reviews so you can fully decide what you want. When you start making videos, you should post a link to your channel! Hope everything goes well!
Wrote this for another user recently, but it might be helpful for you too:
C64 has two different ports you can use to output video and audio. These are the RF port and the Video port (see here).
Easiest way is to use an RCA cable with an RCA to Coaxil converter plugged into the cable/antenna jack of your TV.
Alternatively, you could also use a C64 video to composite cable but you need to be careful. The three composite cables that come out of that usually don't correspond to the modern "video, left audio, right audio" that we are use to. They correspond to "chroma, luma, and audio".
That means if you want to get a clear picture, you would have to combine the chroma and luma into one signal using something like this. You can then split the mono audio into two channels with an RCA Splitter.
Option 3: Pick up a composite to S-Video Cable and use that, or if your TV doesn't have S-Video, you could also convert it to HDMI using an S-Video to HDMI converter box.
As far as getting the episodes onto your tv, it's going to depend on what type of computer you have and what inputs you have on your tv.
A lot of newer computers have HDMI outs and if your TV has an HDMI in it's as straight forward as just connecting the two with an HDMI cord.
-----
If the computer is older, there is a good chance you have an S-Video out. Assuming your TV has an S-Video in, you'll need an S-Video cord.
If your computer doesn't have an S-Video or HDMI out, it definitely has a VGA out. VGA doesn't convert well to standard TV in's but there is a chance, if your TV is newer, that it will have a VGA in. If it does, you can connect with a VGA cord.
If none of the above options work and you're really desperate you can use a VGA to HDMI converter which is pricey. Obviously, your TV would need an HDMI in.
Now, the three solutions below the hyphens are only for video. For Audio you're going to need to run out of your headphone jack which can be done with a cord like this. You'll need to make sure that you match the audio cords to the video channel (the video jacks and corresponding audio jacks are usually next to each other on the TV). If you have a separate speaker system, you can also run the sound straight into that.
You will need a converter box and a cable for each end. You will connect the laptop via VGA cable to the converter box. Then connect the box to the TV (either S-Video for TV1 or RCA cables for TV2)
(To get free shipping, you'd have to order something else.)
I haven't used that box, so I can't comment on it specifically. As for recommendations, since this works both ways, I'd just pick the bigger TV. If they're the same size, my guess would be S-video (TV1) would have the best quality.
Speaking of quality, it won't be great. TV has pretty low resolution compared to computer screens. But it should be passable.
For the cables I use an s-video cable like this. The s-video cable and audio cables go to my capture card and the yellow cable goes to my tv. Then I just listen to my game audio through my pc on AmaRec.
As for a capture card, DVC-100's are good. I use an easycap and that works fine for me. Whatever you get, you're going to want to find the drivers for your card and download AmaRecTV. Here's a guide on setting up AmaRec.
This is the one I went with:

I saw someone use it for the X52 pro, but I hope it works for my x52 as well
Just in case you didn't know, the monitor comes with an HDMI cable, but not a DP cable. I grabbed this on Amazon for ten bucks. No idea if it's the best, but it's highly rated and does 1440p/144Hz.
You will need this converter.
This S-VHS cable to connect the converter to your TV.
This VGA cable to connect your converter to your laptop.
And, this RCA cable for the audio path between your headphone output of your laptop to your TV audio inputs. Your picture quality will be the same as Super VHS which is just under standard definition television broadcasts levels.
Get the Longhorn S-Video mod, a 25' S-Video cable, and a 25' stereo RCA cable. Your eyes and ears will thank you.
Edit: Looks like Longhorn isn't selling them anymore. There are modded consoles and mods on ebay. This one is essentially the Longhorn design

Hm I'm not sure, overdrive was fine for me, standard should be free sync on technically from what I've read also. I'm using an rtx 2070 and it reads it fine. Theres another mode called extreme but not sure the difference between the two. I'm not using stock dp cable that came with it though. I bought this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F7YV4BR/ref=cm_sw_r_fm_apa_i_dIBzCb9AV507H

I do this using my MacBook Pro, this Composite adaptor, an RCA to 3.5 for audio and a VCR.
Basically you export your image and audio to the VCR via an input channel, cue up your content, pop a tape in and record A N Y T H I N G
Just ordered a new one for Saitek X52 Pro:

S-Video is just a standard 4-pin mini-DIN cable.
For just being able to see your amp's set up screen on your TV, (if is has a RCA type video input) you could use one of these.

here's an amazon link, no reviews or ratings, but i have one of these, and it works for me.
When even the 2 meter Monster cable is $20, $40 sounds kind of crazy. There's a super-premium style cable for $24, but that sucker's 50ft/15m long.
My X34P went only upto 115Hz and was flickering at 120Hz. I bought this one and it does 120Hz no problem. Minimal BLB around left corner and no Dead Pixels. I am good.
