Aww thats so sweet ! Jealous of Hawaii, you're going to have such a great time!

My mom and Maid of Honor threw my shower. It wasn't really themed, more like a brunch with our wedding colors! It was really fun and I'm so glad I agreed to it despite being so anxious.

Favorite practical: these salsa bowls When I make dinner I like to put all the ingredients in separate bowls and pretend I have a show. Or they are perfect for a little snack. I love them.

Favorite fun/sweet : my future mother in law gave us the champagne flutes they had used at their wedding with a really sweet letter.

I don’t think it matters, but fwiw, here are the links to what I use for mine:

Tray: Carlisle 1217BT03 Bistro Plastic Café Tray, 12" X 17", Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008RSKCBO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_j72ZDbRX6SPZC

Pebbles: skullis 5 Pounds River Rocks, Pebbles, Garden Outdoor Decorative Stones, Natural Polished Mixed Color Stones https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F2ZDSVV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_p82ZDb71BJEH5

It turned out really pretty - the “pebbles” are more like “stones”. They’re all pretty flat and probably 1”-1.5” in diameter and are polished. I think polished or not simply depends on your aesthetic preference. One order of those stones perfectly fills the tray. Three 6” pots easily fit on it and the humidity at the lip of those pots is consistently 60-70%.

I made my own Bastard box that works for 4x5 and 5x7. Here's a list of materials:

  • 32-gallon fold-a-tote: The actual box part

  • Sacrificial film changing bag: For the armholes

  • Rosco #19 Fire gel: For darkbox window(s)* Light safe indoors but outside you'll need to cover your head and box with a shroud of some sort to be safe. For the side windows I cut I used Rubylith sheets. You can't see through them so they only work on the sides but they are completely daylight safe.

  • Tray stand: For setting the box on to work

  • LED Headlamp: Has a darkroom safe red LED to illuminate inside

  • Kitchen timer: for timing plate sensitivity. Fits handily into the transparent side pocket on the box.

  • Portfolio: For toting the flattened darkbox around in.

The box is made of thick cardboard so it's easy to cut through with a knife or razorblade. After cutting I taped the edges with black gaffer's tape to make it look cleaner and to prevent any particles from falling into the working area. I cut one big window in the top (for the Rosco gel) and one on each panel in the back (for the Rubylith).

For the armholes I left the cuts rough so I could use a high strength glue to adhere the arms I cut off of the film changing bag. I glued them to the cardboard under the nylon fabric of the box. After that had dried I taped around the edges so it looked cleaner and provided a little better seal.

For the illumination inside, I took the strap off the LED headlamp and stuck some velcro squares to the back of it and to the inside of the box. This holds the light perfectly and still allows the headlamp to tilt up and down for the perfect angle.

The only other thing I do is tear up thick magazine pages and lay them down on the inside along with something like a puppy pad or some paper towels to catch any drips.

Here is an imgur album with some sample images.

I found something in a Facebook group now but I'm still eh about what I'm finding.
I'm Looking for what is used for their soft and comfy bedding. I was told the natural kaytee litter is used but that doesn't seem too natural, and I don't like white litter lol. Then I had read reptile miss can be used. What do you suggest as the best?
Also, I know stuff should be on stilts, so maybe something like the link I put at the bottom to place stuff on top of? If you have links to good product websites please share.
No hamster yet, but it will be Teddy and I am working with 150 gallon fish tank.

Commonly, people will keep frozen water bottles to give to their rabbits in the summer. They’ll cuddle up to them to keep cool, but I recommend that you wrap it in a towel or put it in a sock to prevent the ice from “burning” them.

If you wanna get real fancy, you can look for a cheap marble or stone tray (usually home decor stores), flip the tray upside down and put ice packs underneath. It’s like making a cold stone for the rabbits that they can lie on. This is personally what I do for the California heat, and my buns love it! The challenge is finding a marble/stone tray that’s big enough for a rabbit without being too costly!

Something like this would be an example, but make sure you find one that’s around the size of a standard cookie sheet or larger!

These are the things I bought this summer when I purchased my frist Blackstone.

For squeeze bottles: criteria: they dont leak as I take them camping https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076PT3BD9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For spatulas & Scraper: Wanted ones that dont bend and hold up well without breaking the bank

Cafeteria trays: surprised how much I love/use these, such easy cleanup camping, no excessive waste of paper plates etc. Mine were red, pack of six, and a bit cheaper than what the price is showing now. I use them for everything, chopping veggies, preparing steaks, just toss the dirty one aside, grab a clean one, put the cooked stuff on them, let the steaks rest on them etc. Much sturdier than paper plates. But I also find myself using them at home a lot now when going outside and back inside. Easy carrying food.

Meat temp pen: its cheap and it works, not the best you can buy
https://www.amazon.com/ThermoPro-Digital-Instant-Thermometer-Kitchen/dp/B01IHHLB3W/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=thermopro&qid=1575083104&sr=8-7

Digital Read Temperature for the griddle. Cant find the one I bought

I already owned excellent quality dome lids. Get one! They work great for steaming vegetables, melting cheese, etc.

If you bought the new pro series with a lid, you can make things like pizza really well :) I made it all summer on my smaller 22" with lid and figured out the best base to set the pizza on was a wire cooking rack. I found the pizza stone worked as well but it got very hot directly on the griddle, and I figured it was just as easy to place it on a rack. Either the pizza directly or the stone on rack. So a cheap cooking rack is handy.

Lots and lots of paper towels :)

so i’m like 90% sure this is a (albeit heavy-duty) plastic casting from a mold made from an actual human skull. i bought them off amazon (but from a seller that is not amazon) for about $30 including shipping, and they come with a lid that is removable. i ordered two and they are INCREDIBLE quality and seem to be pretty realistic in size. the detail is what makes me think they are cast from a mold of an actual skull. i definitely did NOT expect them to be as nice as they are. they have a website which is skeletonsandmore.com but i ordered through amazon here and i think they were even slightly cheaper on amazon. hope that helps! :)

I have one of these: Wilton Armetale Well and Tree Large Platter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00067AYKI/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_-Vb-Bb65296A4

Works really well and I like that it’s metal so it’s easier to clean up and don’t mind if meat / juices sit there for a while, vs with wood it’s best to get it cleaned up ASAP.

Pretty active eBay market for these as I don’t think they’re made anymore.

u/BabygirlMcGee · 2 pointsr/weddingplanning

Went to a wedding where my party had to stand for the entire reception because there wasn't enough seating. We at least had a high top table to use or I probably would've left.

I would just make sure there's lots of flat surfaces around. Even if you have to get a few fold out tables like these:

https://www.amazon.com/Casual-Home-660-41-Set-White-Table/dp/B07MMSTPSP/ref=mp_s_a_1_9?keywords=tv+tables&qid=1564031425&s=gateway&sr=8-9

They'd be easy to decorate with a pretty candle, and they would fold up easy when you're done. And some stools lined against the wall will at least give people a chance to rest their plates on their laps.

Congrats on your new job! But... no soup for you! Just kidding.

I like my steak medium rare. I don't even know what Pittsburgh or Butterflied medium well means.

I summon /u/maumacd! I don't know you, but let's have dinner :)

Here, it's a pretty serving tray :)

I really like the site!

The pictures of the dogs on the site are stock photographs aren't they? The only reason I ask is that the dogs mentioned on the 'about' page aren't on the site anywhere!

If you sister feeds the biscuits to her dogs that says a lot about the quality of them, that should be shown!

There are no images of the packs of biscuits so I can't see how many you get. I know it says 120g but the pack is quite important. The shop images look great but only look like a handful.

I know they are treats (a few per day) but it feels like there should be a bigger pack option, for people with bigger dogs or several dogs.

Perhaps your sister could get a compartment tray that is split into 8 squares, the flavour of each biscuit written on each section. Then at the markets they could set out 1 of each biscuit and get passers by to do a doggie taste test and see which flavour their dog would pick first.

Film that a few times and put it on the website. It gets people thinking about which flavour their dog would pick, which is one stage closer to making a purchase.

I'm too lazy to do math, so I hope this is still open. This dessert tier is pretty random, but cute. I need it for my counter top to put fruit on. Right now it is just a plate.

Also, could you let me know how the diva cups work out? I'm deciding on trying them, but I need a bit more data before I fork over the money. Very interested in them but haven't been able to talk to someone directly about it. Thanks! to infinity and beyond!

u/needsmorecoffee · 1 pointr/cats

One of ours did that a couple of times. Now I sleep on my side and, the moment he gets too playful, put him out in the hallway and shut the door. Clearly you need one of those breakfast-in-bed trays to put over yourself as armor while in bed. If you can find one that'll fit: http://www.amazon.com/Pecks-Adjustable-Bent-Laptop-Walnut/dp/B001CD1BF2

Congrats on the baby and hope all goes well!

I'm so awfully sorry to hear about this...

<3 Truth is, my mom amazes me each day. She's fighting breast cancer and still works every day...even with her chemo, radiation, and herceptin... she shaved her head and smiled with grace, and she is my light in a very dark world.

The truth is, nothing will likely cheer you up. I'm still dealing with the loss of my grandmother... Nothing makes me feel better, but life just gets easier... but this helped me... Josh Groban I cried my eyes out, and somehow that helped. <3

My mother loves to bake and she would love this.

u/microjupiter · 3 pointsr/hometheater

I’m sure like the other guy said there’s cheaper options. I went with these for the legs in a couple different sizes since my space is weird. And these for the boards. Super easy. The only thing I may add is to drill a hole in the board so the speaker wire can run right up from underneath and not around the side.

u/cartesian_produce · 3 pointsr/steroids

same here with the gaybro friends. Hilarious and unfiltered.

Yeah I would just like to see more new content, be that in form of unique stories, physique shots, programming, maybe even a kind of best practices sort of thing. Like for example - I want to get a chair with arm rests and one of those serving trays for a clean surface and a small lockbox to keep all my daily pinning supplies as well as a MTWTF pill box available but not in sight of roommates or family that comes over. That way I can use the arm rest to rest my arm on while pinning delts, quads, maybe even VG/glutes if i can finangle it and then put everything away and it look decent and be secure.

Little shit like that

u/brightlocks · 13 pointsr/raisedbynarcissists

OMG! My NParents too. They keep buying my husband, an atheist, Christian themed gifts. Like this. As if he'll eventually see that Jesus has superior merchandise? Or what?

Lately, they have taken to just stapling (stapling?!?! Why?) money into a card for me. Hey, we're pretty fortunate. My husband and I make a lot of money and so do my NParents. So sending us each $40 is kind of weird. Why bother?

u/McToculus · 2 pointsr/BabyBumps

defrosting tray
Not sure if that's the exact brand we have (it looks just like that though). It sounds really gimmicky but it works by kind of wicking/pulling the cold from the frozen item and distributing it across the tray so it thaws much faster. Like if I touch the tray while I'm using it, it's freezing cold. Unlike when you put frozen steaks or whatever on a plate; if you touch the plate it might be slightly cold but most of the cold is still localized in the steaks. If that makes sense lol

u/verifiedname · 1 pointr/ImperialAssaultTMG

For tournaments I use one of these for pieces:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01055A1D0/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And one of these for map tiles:

https://www.amazon.com/Sterilite-14138606-Aquarium-Latches-Freshwater/dp/B00IRXAR7S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494364665&sr=8-1&keywords=sterilite+stack+of+3

Yes you do have to use the original boxes. I prefer the organizers for the rest of my stuff for a number of reasons. They make campaigning a LOT easier because you can just pull out a few necessary trays rather than digging through all the cards. I also paint my figures so I don't want to pile them all together as that would damage them.

u/Itami_fox · 1 pointr/Warhammer40k

If you just wanted something cheap to throw the gaunts in these are nice to just keep lots of infantry in. Don't know why that one is so expensive but I picked up the green from target for $9.

u/AerialAmphibian · 3 pointsr/LifeProTips

Same concept that makes these defrosting trays work.

My sister found some at a Walgreens years ago. I think she paid a couple of bucks each and gave me one. It's convenient when I get home from work and want to cook something frozen that I forgot to move to the fridge that morning.
