Imo something along the lines of the mfa uniform 1.0 would be a good option. Some time in the next few years, you'll find it useful to have both a blue and white OCBD, so if you've got the time, now is a good time to get one. There are lots of options; I've got this if you want a recommendation for something fairly cheap and easily available (because Amazon).

As always, wearing things that fit and make you comfortable are the primary concerns. A large part of clothing is about making you feel handsome, because that confidence is much of what people find attractive.

I've got plenty of really cool sub $25 things in my wishlist, but I'm looking for eminently practical items at the moment. And I don't have any gray shirts. Simple solution: when you give them their first set of cuff links, also send some French cuff shirts. You can actually get them from Amazon. Buying dress shirts without having handled any of them before can be a bit tricky, but if you go with some that have good reviews, you're probably okay. The key is to just get the guys to like French cuff shirts, then they'll find their own that they prefer.

I was pretty fortunate that I got hooked on them by doing a lot of international traveling for work -- my co-workers in Europe all wear French cuffs, and when we were in southeast Asia I had a bunch of shirts tailored, which really makes you fall in love with clothes...

This Joy Division shirt is classic. It has the Unknown Pleasures cover, and it's just my favorite album cover ever Ok. This is a shirt I actually one. It's just mine is so worn to death I think I need another. Also suffers from the "I'm not as fast as I was before, so it's too big for me." syndrome.

Channel your inner Basilisk with my male and female variation designs. Both the male and female versions have skin scale shirts and pants to help you appear as scaly as Salazar's serpent. The shoes for both variations are snake scaled as well, but are comfortable enough so that you can walk around in your costume. The necklace was chosen as it has a snake and the green of Salazar himself. Additionally, the fangs were chosen to represent the sharp fangs of the Basilisk and they are easy to wear. If you really want to channel the spirit of the Basilisk, opt for wearing yellow contact lenses so your eyes match the monster itself.

I also recommend wearing your hair in an S-Shaped braid like this to really hit the "S" in serpent. You may want to add a little green makeup on your face to really sell the look as well if you so desire.

You bring up a great point, and I wish I could tell you that the "be-all, end-all" decisions regarding dimensions / weight / etc. were left to CubiScan. However, those measurements and weights affect so many things in the process from the time we receive an item until it goes out the door to a customer, that there is rarely a black and white answer for things. Also, there are items we as associates question every day as to why the system states an item is sortable v. nonsortable. I've also said several times in this forum that we stretch CubiScan's capabilities beyond what its manufacturer intended because, as of right now, it's the best thing we have. CubiScan was designed to capture dimensions and weights of boxed items -- hence its name -- and it does a great job at that. But, as you all are well aware, not every item comes to us boxed. I've suggested to a couple of folks in PMs that if they want more control over the dimensional measurements of their products, send them to us pre-boxed. But, that's a cost-benefit analysis thing -- am I paying more to have an item boxed than I would be in paying for "air" in a poly bag...more on that later. Let's look at some examples based upon your plastic totes comment...and some other things that pop up as well...I hope reddit let's me link to items on the AMZN site. These items are chosen based upon our experiences with them, so disregard the brand, etc. and consider the items themselves. Here we go...

1. This item easily fits within the confines of one of our totes, but is it a sortable item? I draw your attention to the fact that this item weighs 99 pounds.

You're running into the same problem i used to run into. The medium fits better around the arms and shoulders and chest, but its too short, and if it shrinks just a little, you're screwed. But the large swallows your arms and chest but fits better around the waist and the length looks longer.

The solution is to either buy large and hope/try to shrink it a bit in the dryer. Or find some medium long shirts.

Here is my go-to medium long shirt. I love these shirts and i have them in a bunch of different colors. The top and sleeves fit like a medium, but its a little longer in length. The only downside is that they shrink a bit, so just wash on gentle and air dry them.

If you're set on Uniqlo brand, the medium looks a little nicer, but be careful washing and drying it, because if it shrinks it won't look good any more

Hmm, well, in the images I'm seeing the color difference is pretty drastic between pants and shirts, despite both being listed at Navy. Here's a couple of pictures for examples.

These are just two random examples, but as you can see the color difference is pretty jarring. I'll look into the baseball pants approach though, thanks!
