For reference I'm 5'4" and 145lbs but I weighed max 160 at the time of purchasing some of these items. I wear a size 29 jeans but sometimes I need a 30 or 28 depending on the cut/style. I am a 36c so sometimes finding shirts that fit is a mission. Hope this helps

Off shoulder dress. I use belt so I have a nicer shape. The girls fit nicely and the belt is a must so I don't feel like I'm wearing a poncho.

Sorry to hear about your fibromyalgia, I have a family member with it and it sounds no fun.

Unfortunately what I'm about to list includes mostly discontinued basics, but hopefully it gives you some ideas.

While I'm not in chronic pain on the level you have been, I have been dealing with some things off and on the last few years which led me towards living in comfy clothes. So as not to perpetually look like I'm just on my way to/from yoga class, I try to dress in layers of nicely-textured fabrics along with my nice-looking yoga pants from Eddie Bauer (now discontinued.)

For example, I will layer a sateen tank (Macy's Charter Club, discontinued) under a light wrap in the summer or nice cardigan in winter. I got the tanks in store from Macy's, and the sweaters from TJ Maxx, Macy's, or Amazon, but here's an example of the wrap from Amazon: [light wrap] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GJ2NVOK/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=1PYOTTYDQQ43P&coliid=IRL3B97V59UYR&psc=1) and this is similar to the sweaters: [sweater] (https://www.amazon.com/Womens-Front-Draped-Shawl-Cardigan/dp/B014LTL5UY/ref=pd_sim_193_28?_encoding=UTF8&refRID=66YX7SM8V3VS14W94G5K )

The other thing I love to do is layer a criss-cross cardigan like [this] (https://www.amazon.com/Popana-Criss-Cross-Cardigan-Medium/dp/B00PKV5MEI/ref=sr_1_4?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1478560877&sr=1-4&nodeID=7141123011&keywords=criss%2Bcross%2Bcardigan&th=1)
over a [tank top] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006Z8HJ82/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) or [long-sleeved shirt] (https://www.amazon.com/LEVEL-6731-Tri-Blend-Long-Sleeve-Scoop/dp/B007S0YY0W/ref=pd_sim_193_38?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=88Q2GRKDBDHQ016JKA3T) depending on the weather.

And of course, there is always the option for cute scarves over comfortable shirts. None of what I wear is high fashion or top-of-the-line stylish, but it is all cute, comfortable, and I always feel like I look good which is really the main point for me.

This top

With these pants

And this blazer

and to top it off...

get these pumps

It doesn't even break the bank and with all the colors you can mix and match and accessorize with jewelry and look different every day.

This outfit goes from the board room to the dance floor with ease. Also, they are durable as hell, for instance, the white one of the tank top I spilled an entire glass of red wine on while I was dancing the night away after work. Threw it in the wash after throwing some shout on it - like brand new.

I also try to stick to chiffon for shirts for two reasons. First, they lay nicely on everyone, and second, if you spill something on it, you can run to the bathroom, shout pen it, rinse, and then stick it under the hand dryer and it's like you never spilled your coffee on you for the millionth time this year. (This will also work for pit stains if it gets too hot, have your friend hold the door, take off the shirt, run it under the hand dryer, LIKE NEW.)

These items go on sale ALL the time at Amazon. I only buy the tank tops when they are $7.99 for instance. Install camel camel on your browser and set a price watch for them.

Bonus, if you're in a colder room and the tank isn't your thing, you can substitute this blouse, which also looks amazing on everyone and professional AF

Another bonus, if the boot cut pants are too "professional", you can dress the tops down with jeans or these leggings which manage to hold you in all day long without riding down.

I am obsessed with Amazon style in general. Almost everything has free returns if you have prime, so I order a ton of stuff, see what fits, and then send back what I don't like. It's great. People compliment me on my outfits all the time and I am like muahahhahahhaha, I didn't even pay a ton of money for this. <3

UCer, here! I love skirts and dresses. A line dresses work great and are really flattering on me no matter the day. I like ones where I can take a belt to adjust the waist for skinny or big days. Wrap dresses that are more flowy work great, too, but you can find some knit ones you'd think would be a disaster, but work amazingly! I have a collection of skirts (lots with elastic bands) that I can wear with different tops to work on skinny or big days... I usually have a more flowy top for the big days, but big boobs + flowy top = appearance of pregnancy, so I'll typically tuck in a little corner [like the top left] (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UiIzeUY-FeY/T7mNJ2CyFoI/AAAAAAAAJ_E/ycvZVPUzqrc/s1600/HalfTuckJCrew2.jpg) so you can tell I'm not, in fact, with child... but still gives me room to be comfortable that a fitted or completely tucked in shirt would not. I do the same thing with jeans/pants. Obviously a sweater isn't going to work in the summer, so I do a flowy shirt/tuck in a corner.

I know this is odd, but get a ton of comfort in wearing a cami under all of my tops. I got a million plain camis (I really like this brand, but I get ones without the built in bra (or cut them out... those things are a joke)). They stretch with any weight changes, and they're long so they're easy to tuck in and not have to worry about them creeping up. Something about having the clothing tight against my skin makes me feel comfortable no matter the day. It also helps camouflage weird boob lines that my bra can make on bigger boob days. I got a pair of Spanx in [this style] (http://www.spanx.com/shop/spanx/shapewear/focused-firmers-high-waist-mid-thigh-zid38-MS1834/cat-38-catid-tn_spx_sw?CategoryDomainName=SPXNA-38&_t=pfm%3Dapr) that I can wear under tighter dresses to give me that same comfort... I got that style so it covers my belly on the big days... It's like getting a hug all day ;)

u/drgmaster909 · 1 pointr/crossdressing

Sounds like fun.

  • I've always been interested in women's clothes, especially shoes. I only put 1+1 together and identified as a crossdresser around 11 or 12. I'm now 18.

  • One person, my cousin who is the cloest thing I have to a brother, but he lives states away. He's the only one I can talk to about it and he's accepting. My mom stumbled across my crossdressing and had some freaky breakdown, purged my shit, and assumed it was done and over. That is why I have not told her that it's not done and over.

  • I feel pretty, oh so pretty. Idk, I like the idea of being beautiful. I see cool technology, I want it. I see a beautiful woman, I kind of want to be that too. Doesn't mean I dislike my life, but there's nothing like a dress and a pair of heels. Unfortunately, whenever I do dress, 99% of the time it becomes sexual.

  • I try to dress with some amount of class. That means classy heels, untorn jeans, beautiful blouses over a white cami, cute red summer dresses, etc. I get everything from Amazon.

  • I feel like I don't pass because I haven't really tried in public yet, or gone all the way at home with makeup and hair. I have a positive outlook though because people are already mistaking me for a woman when in the presence of other women due to my long hair. I'll be in public in total guy-mode and people will refer to me as ma'am or say "I'll be right with you ladies" at restaurants.

  • I... don't know? I love to wear the clothes but I'm still me, but I'm definitely a more feminine version of me so...?

  • I have not crossdressed in public officially. I've worn flats out once but it was half-assed under some jeans and at night and nobody stared, but I hardly consider that crossdressing in public.

  • I'm straight. I'd never want to fuck another guy, however some role reversal with a woman sounds... kinky fun.

I use synthetics with Arko mashed into a puck. One of those synthetics is a Muhle Black Fibre. I never had a problem lathering the Arko. My process is wet brush, shake out as much water as possible (key), load soap and then build lather on hand then apply to face. I get a very nice lather with both synthetics. So I'm not sure what is going on. I could see there maybe being a problem with shave stick dynamics, but I don't really like shave sticks and have no way to test it.

As long as you are going conservative with the amount of water, I would say maybe hard water is a problem. I keep bottles of distilled water around to rule that out with different soaps I try.

One thing I do want to point out comparing my boar to the Muhle Black Fibre. The boar splays much easier than the Muhle Black Fibre. It's packed in tight for backbone to an extreme. So it's a better painter on the face than splayer. It's easier to splay when it's loaded with lather and you are pressing it against something harder like your hand. You might want to try to break it in by pushing it very hard against your hand and forcing it to splay.

I would also recommend a different handle if you have comfort issues. No metal. Wood is lightest, with all plastic\acrylic being a nice inbetween. I have a wood handle on mine and it is very light. It comes with another problem which is maintenance. I find that I must treat it with mineral oil on occasion to keep up the shine so to speak. I think of the Black Fibre models at Connought that the Modern handle is your best bet.

Personally I prefer the H.I.S 1962 with the smaller loft and bigger knot and over 60mm long handle which is still light since it is acrylic. That is probably closer to the handle size you are used to with the Omega 49 which I think is a fairly big brush.

Well i'd love to have a face down ass up picture to help me decide but i'll work with what i have.

  1. An ass like that Needs to find it's way to a playboy bunny costume as soon as possible ( link to the the closest thing i could find on amazon as a full outfit but a bodysuit +stockings and this set should do the job just fine!)
  2. A sexy sissy like you needs to show some skin, what better way to do that than in a sheer micro bikini
  3. Now let's round out the closet with something that she can go out in! I'm thinking something along the lines of a nice crop top (option 1/option 2) paired with yoga pants or some gym shorts
  4. A dress of her choice as long as it ends above the knees!

Hope to see you in these soon! you have a wonderful daddy and im more than a little jealous so if he ever feels like he wants another slave he's welcome to reach me on discord or via a pm here!

tl;dr: Material for shells under suits and blazers?

Hi, I've combed through the archives here and not found anything that addresses this.

What should shells be made of?

I'm looking for shells to go under some nice, classic silk suits I got years ago at Ann Taylor Loft (I had silk sleeveless shells but tossed them when they got stained). I'd also like the shells to go under nice sweaters.

What cloth should I look for? Is cotton okay? Is there a difference between a tank top and a shell you can wear as business or business casual?

I found these as examples of what I'm thinking about:

This has a cowl, made of rayon and spandex. Can I wear it with a suit coat or a blazer or a long open sweater?

This is a high neck, sleeveless tank, made of polyester. Same question: Can I wear it with a suit or blazer?

This is more like a tank top, mostly cotton with some spandex, but it claims to work under blazers and such. Is that true? It's a bit more revealing than the shell I linked above. Would it work for business / business casual?

Last one: This tank top is the lowest cut (but I don't think it's too low...). Again: acceptable under a suit or blazer?

I don't want to spend a lot, since I only need business or business casual clothing about once a year. Since I don't work in an office, I don't see people wearing this kind of clothing, and the clothes I see when I search for business or business casual seem a bit flashy for me (I'm a really conservative dresser, especially when it comes to color), and they never say what material the shirts or shells are.

Thanks for any help you ladies can offer.

u/UnicornToots · 2 pointsr/BabyBumps

This was my favorite nursing bra ever. I had a few different types, but this was my fave. It's very comfortable and just allows the breast pads to stay in place, and it's very easy to pop a boob out when it's feeding time.

I also had a lot of nursing camisoles and tank tops that I'd wear as regular shirts, or under long-sleeved tops. This was my personal favorite tank to wear just as a tank top during the later months of pregnancy (my daughter was born last September, so right around this time last year I was in my 3rd trimester) and after she was born while I was nursing her.

u/Bethkulele · 2 pointsr/BabyBumps

Nursing camis are great for early on, but honestly, my favorite for nursing has been [these] (https://www.amazon.com/Felina-Womens-Cotton-Stretch-Camisole/dp/B06XHT1J8W) normal camis. Paired with either a nursing bra, sports bra, or no bra. I can wear them by themselves around the house. I also like to wear them under a t-shirt, so I can pull one up and one down to nurse. A lot of times, I'll just throw a zip up or button down over the top to run to the grocery store.

Washable nursing pads are also wonderful for early on. The disposables get weirdly hard and they are too expensive.

I never wore a nightgown before my first was born but I wore a nightgown every night until she was about 5 months old. Definitely get at least 2 that allow for easy access.

My first was born in the winter, so I didn't have this option, but if you are due in the summer, it might be good to have a couple flowy dresses.

Amazon has a lot f you search for chest binder.

There are quite a few that are cheap/inexpensive from China. They aren't the highest quality but they are inexpensive and often you can pass them off as being sports bras or tank tops with a shelf bra built in.

This was my first binder: it's like a Hanes undershirt with a binder inside.
Dolpind Womens Les Lesbian Tomboy Short Chest Binder Vest Tank Tops (US L/Tag XL, Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O1OFN08/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_tHSGyb68SEXFG

I just bought these to give away, they are are more like athletic polyester tank top with the same binder inside

I wear a size 12 this time around but was sizes 18&22 before my last two pregnancies. I breastfed the prior two and plan to with this one as well. So, here's my current must haves. And I'm wearing one of each of them right now actually. :)

These bras are really comfy. I'm in a 36E so I have the XL, but they stretch really well so I'm positive I'll still have room when my milk comes in.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01C6M6VLQ/ref=aw_wl_ov_dp_2_11?colid=2GFWXQP1PIE1U&coliid=IOQJNRUKGAFLQ&vs=1

I have these tanks in size L but totally could have gotten a medium. They come to about mid thigh on me (I'm 5'9") and the straps are stretchy enough that I'll be able to just pull the top down to nurse.

Four-Pack of Basic Spaghetti Strap Cami Cotton Tank Top (Small, Beige/Baby Pink/Heather Gray/Red) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KGJGRN8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_mjHlyb1KEMZ5X

I got these crossover cardigans in an XL and should have gotten a L or M instead. They're really flowy and very confortable, and will be perfect for a bit of coverage when nursing. They're a lighter t-shirt material. I plan to hunt down more of them in different colors.

Free to Live Women's Criss Cross Cardigans, Black/Charcoal/Navy, Large (Pack of 3) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O5I1WHS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_PkHlyb6XJP13R

For the hospital, I bought a couple cheapo spaghetti strap nightgowns for the actual birth. For after, yoga pants and leggings and a couple stretchy tank tops. And I had a hoodie to wear home. I'm probably more casual than most in that regard though. And flip flops! My feet swelled up soooo much on day 2.

u/Steph_920 · 1 pointr/electricdaisycarnival

This will be my 5th EDC and I've definitely started opting for comfort and utility over creativity. My go-to outfit is a cute crop top or body suit and high-waisted shorts. Forever 21 and Amazon both have a ton of stuff for super reasonable prices. I have this lace crop top in 3 different colors because I love it so much. I don't stick to a theme, although I usually do one daisy day with flower tops or accessories from Forever 21/similar stores. Shorts are perfect since you can stash your phone, chapstick, ear plugs and even some extra toilet paper without having to carry around a backpack. As far as shoes go, I have a pair of black Vans slip-ons that I always wear at raves since they match everything and are really comfy.

u/noeinan · 22 pointsr/genderqueer

As another similarly gendered person, (I ID as neutrois/neutral gender) I can get behind this statement.

It is really hard to dress "other gendered" because so much just gets shoved into binary boxes. My best guess would be mixing masculine and feminine stuff, or picking clothes that are considered feminine on dudes and masculine on women. Or just pioneer your own style with clothes you like!

I personally am a huge fan of sleeveless turtlenecks, and stretchy, clingy, form-fitting clothing combined with sturdy boots and black slim fit jeans. I use a utility thigh pack and a belt full of pockets to carry things. If the weather is cold, I like to layer with off the shoulder long sleeve shirts, exposing my shoulders but covering my neck with the turtleneck underneath.

I also really love jackets with long sleeves and thumb holes, and long or double breasted coats. Top off my outfit with a great hat! I like newspaper boy hats, train conductor hats, and fiddler caps. Also accessorize with a chain on my glasses.

u/luxorange · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

Hmm I don't see any on the site either. Everything looks cropped and short right now. I've gotten mine in the past from flash sale sites (specifically Gilt and Ruelala) and from Amazon. This is the closest thing I see on Amazon right now. This is it on Zappos but they only have one size in stock. Halogen (at Nordstrom) makes a nice long tank too, this one, but it twists after the first wash or two. I still buy them since they're always layered over but I wish they were better quality. The Splendid tanks don't twist for me.

This is the long sleeve top have. Still on their site but looks like it may be discontinued. Sigh.

u/overmyhead07 · 3 pointsr/weddingplanning

I definitely agree with the anarkali or lehenga. If you do decide to purchase online, just be aware that the color and pattern might vary slightly from the depicted image. The sites I've used include cbazaar , utsav , and lashkaraa . They tend to have sales pretty often, but because they're more affordable, the quality won't be top notch. If this is outside your price range, I've also "DIYd" a lehenga by purchasing a high waisted maxi skirt, a simple crop top and a net dupatta. The best part of this is that you can wear everything again. Throw on some indian jewelry and you're good to go. I've often ordered jewelry from bindhani on amazon and it's been good quality.

u/Im-so-gay · 4 pointsr/ask_transgender

Hello. I’m a FtM trans person. If you do decide to use a trans label, this is probably what you would choose. I’m going to say from experience, it does sound like mild dysphoria.

That being said, there are ways to fix and help it. The obvious first would be getting a binder. It compresses your chest and makes you look flat. They can be relatively expensive if you are a student or under the age of 14 in the USA because you have no source of income. Here are the 2 binders I have right now:

GC2B Nude #4 tank - https://www.gc2b.co/collections/gc2b-all-nude/products/nude-no-4-tank
⚠️If you decide to get that binder, use the code UPPERCASECHASE for 10% off.⚠️

Underworks high power chest binder - Underworks Econo High Power Chest Binder Top Black X-small https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EKN6ZII/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_JuXGAbSQ2S1ST

I recommend the first one.

Next would be to get educated. There are many videos on YouTube. But first, I would start with a YouTuber named “Uppercasechase1” and go to his old videos. It explains binders, packers, underwear, lube, and how T works. If you don’t know what I’m talking about already, he will explain.

Next is a social transition. You might want to start coming out to people. Choose a name. Find some pronouns you like. Make your transition about you. I chose a gender neutral name so if I do decide to use a different label down the road I can still keep my name. I also used they/them pronouns for the same reason. Telling people and getting their reaction really helps get bad influences out of your friend group too, even though it might be hard.

This is already WAYY too long so, like I said, go to uppercasechase1. He really helped me along the way to finding myself. I also could probably help you with everything too. If you need help with binders, packers, names and pronouns, or anything to do with transitioning, my DMS are always open.

I hope you find your true self.

You can buy an underworks binder from Amazon for $19, it's not a cheap knock off binder from China it's an actual underworks binder. Underworks Econo High Power Chest Binder Top Black Medium https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EKN749M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_wGVwDb7T5H6CM make sure to read the about this item section for sizing and check the underworks website to find out how to measure yourself. Only hand wash your binder and never put it in the dryer. I recommend getting the black one because it's a lot easier to pass it off as an undershirt and doesn't show stains. Also sit up straight when binding. Feel free to message me if you have any questions or need advice.

I would go for a high compression underworks binder. I am not a big chested person but I have seen the pics on the Amazon reviews and it will make you pretty darn flat. I am in between sizes so I bought a XS and a S, the XS makes me almost completely flat like I never had a chest in the first place which is really helpful when I have a bad dysphoria day.

Extreme compression (5/5 compression)

Nice! I just traded for a Kent BK4 so we will see if I use it at all over my Plisson. If you want another cheap synthetic to play with check out the HIS synthetics on Amazon. Way Different from the plisson with a very dense knot, tons of backbone but still soft.

Underworks has a binder which is $20 and available on amazon. I got the longer full tank one and it did the job well.
