(Part 3) Reddit mentions: The best teeth whitening products

I'm actually in the middle of working on this myself. I was planning to eventually do a before and after post with pics and process (is this the best sub for it?).

What got me started was this comment:

So I got on Amazon and bought 10% carbamide peroxide gel (http://amzn.com/B00337PCO6 - $20
(free shipping)) and 6-pack of trays (3 sets) (http://amzn.com/B0042SV17C - $18.50 (free shipping)).

I also bought straws for work to drink my daily coffee. So, in total, here's what I'm doing as part of my teeth whitening attempt:

• try to use the carbamide peroxide gel often, working out to be about once every other day, for as long as I can.
  
• brush regularly, alternating between regular toothbrush and Sonicare on each brushing (this is clearly more superstitious than logical. I mostly am worried I'll wear out the Sonicare brush head and half to go buy more.)
  
• drink coffee and soda through straws to avoid staining my teeth
  
  After about a week, I feel like I'm seeing some meager results. If I use up all the carbamide 10% and think there's still room for improvement, I'll probably get this 2-pack of 10ml sticks of carbamide 22%: http://amzn.com/B000W8M0VW ($14 + free shipping)
  
  I also am very tempted to put some effort into getting a little more sun, so my skin has a little more color. I know from past experience that the contrast will make the teeth seem whiter.
  
  Also, the trays linked above...they work OK. Read some of the reviews, practice a couple times first, then be very careful to dip them in the boiled water for 2-3 seconds, NOT 3-4. I'm very tempted to look for some kind of dental training college and see if I can get better trays made relatively cheaply, because I think that would make the carbamide time a little easier to do.
  
  
  

Only americans think/care about having white teeth. You need to travel, nobpody cares what your teeth look like.

I think I just solved this for myself. I had a DIY number that was just too bulky and not multi-purpose. So I ordered this diaperbag and I'm going to put this domke insert and this ladies purse organizer in it. It should hold everything I need, plus be very "don't steal me" plus make sense because I am a mom and it makes sense for me to carry a diaper bag looking bag. It should hold my gripped d7000 with 50mm, 17-50mm and 70-200 in extra pockets, flash, extras, and have room for my lady essentials.

It took me a little while to sort it out, but I feel happy with this setup so far. I think I will end up adding a shoulder sling strap, but so far that's all.

You can buy the same strength whitening stuff the dentists use if I remember right from when I researched teeth whitening.

Hi I know you probably don't like talking about work away from work but I was wondering if you could answer a question for me.

I used to wet shave using cheap disposables, Mach 3s, and even double edged safety razors. I used every type of shaving cream and pre shave and oil and aftershave. Always got red bumps under my chin.

Some people have very bumpy skin that doesn't go well with a wet blade. That Braun, though, I bought back in 2011 and have used it 3x a week since then. I use the auto clean after every use and replace the cartridge once a year. It has more than paid for itself since I don't need to use aftershave anymore. It is imperative that you electric shave on dry skin, preferably right in the morning when your skin is still oily.

I have been shaving consistently for about 8 years or so.

I'm pretty serious about it, so I invested in a Safety Razor with some good blades. My older Wahl is much more powerful than the Conair, even though they cost about the same.

I have a very old Wahl Color Pro and a newer Conair clipper for cutting my son's hair. His hair is very thick and the Conair just chokes on it. I'd spend some time looking for a good quality clipper in your price range.

First clip your hair down with the clippers as tight as you can go. I know a few guys that do this about once a week or every two weeks so all they have is stubble. They don't use a blade like I do.

Then use a razor of your choice. If you're intending on using a multi-blade (like a Mach 3) you'll probably find that it gets clogged with a lot of hair gunk pretty quickly and can be difficult to get the hair out of the blades if your hair was too long when you started shaving. It is for this reason that I use a safety razor as you can simply spin the head and rinse it out in a matter of seconds. It takes me no more than 3 minutes to completely shave my head.

This stuff is a god send. my teeth are way too sensitive to use crest strips or the dentist whitening stuff. You put it in for 5 minutes twice a day, and within 2 weeks your teeth are amazing.

I have just finished using this. My teeth werent that bad either but they got so much whiter. Its also reasonably whiter to the point where halfway through the process people have started noticing and dropping compliments. You can also pick your schedule. Ex) 1 day for an hour, Weekend for 25min a day, or during the week for 6-7 min. Plus refills for the product are cheap, about $12-20

You might be able to but it would be hours and hours of work. Very hard to measure and model plus the print process isn't fast. Then it would likely need smoothing and a paint job.

My recommendation would be to get a kit like this one or this. Yes they aren't free but they're a lot cheaper than anyone I know would charge to do this amount of 3D printing work.

You can buy professional bleaching teeth kits that come with the mouth guard and the bleaching agent. My ex-girlfriend used to use one 20 years ago. It cost her $300.
