I store my Muhle silvertip synthetic brush and soap container on the top shelf of my shower caddy and my razors on the other on the other end of the tub higher up on the wall using a tooth brush holder like [this] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000SQPEZW/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) right next to a fog free mirror also held by a suction cup. Works great, no rust issues on the Weber or Edwin Jagger DE86bl/Maggard MR6B frankenrazor. Some rust issues on the ikon standard head, but that's because it really hugs the blade close and has no openings in the base plate to air it out.

Aluminum Double Towel Bar 24 inch wih 5 Hooks

Kinda looks like it lol

I assume you go downstairs to use the bathroom, just buy a shower caddy and shove it away somewhere. I just linked something to give you an idea of the product, don't buy this go to Walmart and spend like $10 or less on one lol.

There is a shower caddy that has a telescoping pole (https://www.amazon.com/InterDesign-York-Tension-Caddy-Bronze/dp/B0050J2G80/ref=pd_lpo_201_bs_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=E2T5M2TE8X25PGDXVFMB)

My aunt also had the idea of using a telescoping shower curtain rod, and putting it up parallel to the current shower curtain rod. You could put this at whatever height, and could rest your items there.

If you do drill into it, you wont be able to fix it easily. Silicon caulk would be a good plug around the screw.

IIRC, some dev mentioned they use these telescopic bathroom shelf things, here's an example:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000M38034/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_3?pf_rd_p=569136327&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00LB7IO72&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=0QTPRB4XNX77DS0SY5AM

You can just put the Lighthouse on there, maybe add some velcro if you're worried they might fall down. I'm planning on using this method at least at first, as it will also help to determine most effective placement before drilling holes all over the wall.

It's nothing fancy/complicated: http://imgur.com/gallery/hk9UG

I put a mesh pocketed organizer on the inside as well and could add another on the outside. The extra rod is especially great for when guests are over. There's no shortage of space for towels.

I have a shelf in the corner (like this) or I hold the book out with one hand

Im in the UK and all i could find was this.

Do you think it would be ok?

Try something like this? You can take off some shelves if needed. Works unless the ceiling is more than 8ft high.

Put the sofa's footrest thing down, and leave it down unless you're actively using it at the time. It takes up a ton of space.

Do you need the stair thing next to the desk in order to access anything? It sticks out awkwardly, but you may need the storage. If you need the storage, move the light brown bookcase over to the side of your desk. I'd get rid of the stair thing unless you need it for something. Either ask your landlord to take it somewhere else, store it, sell it, or trash it.

The little beige rug under the small coffee table can go. It isn't doing any favors or serving a function. I'd also move the footrest to the chair out of your bedroom and in front of the chair. With the light bookcase moved to be next to the desk already, move the white table to the rear corner under the stairs to be a side table for the chair, which now has a foot rest.

I'd move the white chair without arm rests up to your bedroom and drape the blanket over it, unless you use it often where it is.

Get a shower caddy to help you neatly store all your bathroom items. I like what you tried to do with the plant in there, but in a space that small the plant adds visual clutter. Instead remove the plant and put the cup on that small shelf. There also something like 3 drain plugs near the bathroom sink. They look kind of gross. Can they be stored somewhere else when not in use?

I'd also consider asking your landlord if they mind taking the dark bookcase and putting it in their own home or another property, or getting rid of it if they reject both of those ideas.

Buy a Shower Locker. Better yet, buy 2 of them - one for you & one for them so it's 'fair'. No need for drama!!

I use a couple of these bad boys in my bathroom at the very bottom of my mirror above the backsplash. They do a great job of keeping my razors handy without taking up any counter space. And they're cheap, too.

One thing you want to watch out for when going with a metal holder, though -- no sharp edges to scratch your handles up.
