So if you are looking to update your wardrobe with something that compliments your Graphic Tees, I would suggest looking into layering techniques. I have a couple of outfits which I wear that include Graphic Tees and I will take a couple pictures tonight and show you if you would like.

Layering could be done with many things, but it you want to take it to the next level, mixing casual edginess and mature edginess, then invest in a Cotton, unstructured blazer. I have this Grey one which is absolutely amazing, and you can wear them with just about anything.

There are also many zip up sweaters that you can wear, but if you are looking to mature your wardrobe, I cannot recommend a chunky-knit cardigan more. Love these things, and they are also very versatile. I actually keep one at work in case it gets cold. I got if from J Crew last year. Something like this would work well: https://www.ebay.com/itm/JCREW-MARLED-COTTON-MOCK-NECK-CARDIGAN-SIZE-SMALL/372444582682?hash=item56b76d531a:g:sLkAAOSww6ZbpHkv

If that doesn't fit the style that you are going for, then zip up sweaters would work well too. In general, non-hooded sweaters are more mature than hoodies. I'd go for them if you have the opportunity. I recommend Abercrombie and Fitch, as they make super comfy sweaters and overall have a more fitted structure.

For example, these: https://www.nordstromrack.com/shop/product/2292748/xray-knit-bomber-sweater?color=BLACK

https://www.amazon.com/H2H-Full-zip-Cardigan-Patterned-KMOCAL032/dp/B00HVYA4JU/ref=lp_1045658_1_33?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1537631063&sr=1-33&nodeID=1045658&psd=1

Of course, color varies. I think that last one is red. It's the style that counts. But yeah.

Last thing that I will say is that chinos are always going to be more mature than jeans, but I really think that Chinos are going to push your style a little too much into the professional/preppy direction. So stick with Jeans (Slim Fit, rarely skinny) in darker colors. Again, I will take a few pics of the layering of Graphic Tees tonight for you is you would like those examples.

It's hard to find the exact same item, but I can give you an idea of what to look for so that you can explore your options.

The item can be described as something along the lines of "shawl-collar crossed cable-knit cardigan sweater," in this case bluish-grey. Here's a close but sold out one from Ralph Lauren, and another link via eBay and another via Asos.

Here's an off-white one by Tasso Elba via Macy's.

Here's a dark blue J.Crew cardigan without the thick knit pattern but with a nice texture.

Here's another currently unavailable cable-knit cardigan, via Asos.

Here's a nice cable knit inspiration album.

Here's one thru Amazon.

Here's a $60 dollar navy blue option from Old Navy.

And here's a $130 "ribbed" charcoal one from Banana Republic.

Some keywords to play around with:

  • cardigan
  • sweater
  • Aran cardigan/sweater

  • cable-knit
  • cross(ed) cable-knit
  • thick cable-knit
  • chunky cable-knit

  • shawl collar
  • cowl

    Good luck! Hope this helped.

EDIT: Sorry, AutoMod made me resubmit this comment after editing some URLs, so now I think some of the links may be broken.

    EDIT 2: Added a keyword.

Your style reminds me a lot of my style, albeit with fewer buttonup shirts. You're speaking my language!

It looks like you've already gotten a lot of great advice on fit, so I won't waste time beating a dead horse (save to say that checking that your butt looks good, which is a gender-neutral value judgment, is the quickest way to tell whether pants are going to work for you). However, I do want to second the sentiment that a belt would be a great quick way to step it up a notch! I buy men's belts at Target - they're pretty cheap and come in a range of no-judgment sizes.

I am also a fan of blazers but they're a bit much for my current workplace. Have you considered cardigans for layering? I dig the drapey style but you may also like bulkier grandpa knits.

If you have some time to kill, check out /r/malefashionadvice and /r/malefashion for more inspiration.

(Also: Don't let anyone tell you you need a purse or a skirt to dress well! Rock that androgyny!)

Just as a fair note, I wouldn't call it high quality. But I definitely love it myself, as I like the style.

what cardigan did you get? not seeing it. don't let the quarter zip crew see but I like cardigans too and I'm in the market. target's Goodfellow brand is actually pretty solid too.

e was it this?

u/JacElli · 5 pointsr/malefashionadvice

Ah sorry, it was Match brand. It's a decent price and the quality is good. It's not a traditional cardigan but I like the style and it is really comfortable. I've only recently gotten into MFA but started building a wardrobe around a year or so ago.

On mobile, sorry if the link is wonky.

Looking for a better quality alternative to this

The things I like about it are it's knit, the hood, and the soft fluffy lining.

I can take or leave buttons vs a zip

This is one I have. Looks like it's "terry knit," but the inside feels like a sweatshirt.

You can never go wrong with a nice cardigan sweater

u/onieronaut · 2 pointsr/findfashion

This is a double-breasted cardigan with shoulder tabs and a standing, stand-up, or mandarin style collar that was sold by H&M around 2013. They no longer carry this style or anything similar.

I did find a few things that are somewhat close on Amazon. I have no idea what the quality would be on these, though the second one is by the same vendor and seems to have pretty good reviews: double-breasted, single-breasted.

u/TrogdortheBanninator · 15 pointsr/GalaxysEdge

Search Amazon for Middle Eastern, Asian, and North African-inspired fashion. I'm going with these Buttonless cardigans: 1,
2, a v-neck t-shirt, harem pants, a tactical belt, a scarf and a pair of boots.

Shirt and pants go on first, then boots and the hoodless cardigan. Then I tie the scarf around my waist to hold the cardigan closed and don the belt over it. Hooded cardigan goes on last.

The outfit has a Jedi-esque look blended with a Batuu vibe.
