(Part 3) Reddit mentions: The best chips & crisps

I was having a little get together at my house with some friends and friends of friends an overall great atmosphere just talking have a great time. When I pull out some BBQ Fritos, when someone asks me if I had the munchies. I tell them how I have been dry, 10 minutes later there are 3 dealers in my house smoking us up eating chips and listening to good music. So to awnser your question. BBQ Fritos, specifically these these!

I like salt. I like vinegar. I like potato chips. But I don't like salt and vinegar potato chips, even though I expected to like them before I ever tried them.

Best flavor chips in my opinion are salt and pepper chips. But not just any brand -- some of them taste like they're coated with the same sort of dust that's used on sour cream & onion chips, plus a little pepper. The best ones are Kettle Brand. Yum.

with the foods, i say its probably better to go to your local supermarket (or walmart) because those pies are usually 2 for a dollar there where as on amazon they're like 10 dollars for 4.

For an easy snack, Motts has some no sugar added applesauces. They come single serve, have a few flavor options, don't need to be refrigerated (although I think they taste better refrigerated), AND are 0 points :)

I also stock up on small single serve items around Halloween (when it's easier to find them in sotres). I love them since they are sweet and fruity and you can eat a lot of them (unlike fast food). I always Start by eating one by one but after ten minutes I find myself shoving them into my mouth like a power shovel. Only Problem is that they are all over the floor after a good sesh.

Are there healthy snacks that he will eat? Carrots, etc? There are things called Wheat Thins Popped that have a high serving size. They are tasty too. Unbuttered popcorn is also pretty healthy. I would try and get small snack bowls that he has to put the snacks in and then get up to go get more. Don't get it for him. Just make that a rule.

Also, would he use a Nintendo Wii? They have a lot of exercise things on there. Would he use something like this during a highly rewarding movie?

edited to say, you want to control what he eats, but at the same time you want to make sure he is learning how to make healthy choices for himself.

HONEY ROASTED SESAME STICKS ARE THE BEST!

I love the crunchy, sweet and salty taste they have. They're also great in salads! Sadly, even a small box is pretty pricey, but they are definitely worth it.

The best solution I've found for this is to find replacements that I can either safely binge on or that don't trigger the cravings. It sounds bad, but the worst thing I've found for me so far is the new birthday cake fiber one brownies. I'm actually blown away by how addictive they felt to me! I ate three the first day I had them.

For chips in particular, I keep them out of the house, but I've had success keeping Baked Cheetos, Ritz Crips & Thins, and Back to Nature Sun-Dried Tomato Basil Wheat Crackers. I like these things because they are all not quite as good as chips but still very good, so they satiate the craving, but I don't struggle to portion them out correctly as long as I portion them into a bowl/plate and take the bowl/plate in another room (away from the box) to eat them.

Usually it's those surprise odd-brands like Dirty Chips or even Uncle Ray's (the chili flavored one is OMG) that are the best but since it looks like we're doing the major brands - can I cast my vote for Wavy Lays?

my friend introduced me to some Mexican snacks and i fell in love with these: Toreadas and Obleas

These are my personal favorite from Germany and the closest to kinder eggs i can get in US

I never measure anything when I make my own recipes, but I will tell you everything I used!

For the beans- Cook onion, garlic, onion powder, garlic powder, salt & pepper on the stove and add a bit of tomato paste. Add pinto beans, and your cooked vegan chorizo. Add a little more tomato paste and simmer for about 5 minutes.

For rice- I just made brown rice lol

Toppings- Follow Your Heart cheddar cheese shreds, tomatoes, avocado, and cilantro

Chips- Late July’s Lime Jalapeño chips

Herr's ketchup chips have been available near me in NYC for almost 20 years now (being that the first time i spotted them was circa 2000 and a buddy of mine was already very accustomed to them) but it might be regional and noy available everywhere.
That's the thing about the US...big country with lots of people and lots of different markets - with plenty of room for mid level companies to make a profit without being a legit national brand.
There's a ton of regional food out there - and not just home made dishes or cuisine from different cultures or cities that call it tradition (ie deep dish pizza/cheese steaks/different variants of BBQ) but even so for store bought, mass produced stuff as well.
TastyKake is regional and not found everywhere, as one example.
And for chips, there's plenty that aren't even available in different parts of the US. Zapp's only recently made it's way up north from Louisiana, their stuff is great. Sadly, they stopped making this one a while back and it was the greatest potato chip in the history of mankind.
