Looking for a classy lightweight jacket (hopefully quilted) that can be worn in Summer/Fall and hopefully provides some warmth. Budget is around around $50 or under.

I'm a fan of denim jackets, but if you mostly wear jeans, you run the risk of a Canadian Tuxedo.

I'd recommend a field jacket (M-65 Replica) if you're going for something more rugged. But by the sound of it, you have a slightly more casual style:

What are some good alternatives to this, preferably with a non-hidden hood? It was a past season version of this Levis jacket. There are a couple differences, but basically the same thing. I will have to check out my imgur profile and see if any are still there. I also waxed a SZone weekender from amazon and it turned out really nice. I'll try and grab some pics of both (jackets been in the coat closet stinking it up for the summer months) and get back to you. Weekender has been used a few times over the summer and has worked out great. Spilled some beer on it and it wiped right off. It also doesn't smell as bad but I think I put it in the dryer for a lot longer.

I got it on sale but its still only like 50. They have a bunch of other styles that are similar. Its a lighter jacket for subzero temps so I pair it with a sweater if im going somewhere nice or to work.

Any better quality alternatives to this military jacket I found on Amazon? I really like the style but the reviews seem a little iffy, and I'm willing to pay more (up to $60 or $70) for better quality.

Not sure what you look for in style, but how about a Levis Sherpa Lined trucker? I own one and I love it.

I'm still looking for suggestions for reasonably priced (<150usd) and lined (flannel, blanket, sherpa) fall jackets - chore coat (not Pointer), trucker, canvas (though I have zero time to wax it), or shirt jacket (these are rad, but are there really no side pockets? C'mon.).

Preferably and ideally, it wouldn't fit like a garbage bag (a la Carhartt), be as well made or better than most JCF fare, and won't stretch or break my already thin budget. I'm 6'2, 185, have long arms, and appreciate medium-tall sizes (shirt-wise), but could use some jacket sizing advice, since I'm forever in that purgatory between medium and large sizes that accommodate either my torso or my arms... :/

I carry my shield over a carhatt, with a military styled jacket at my 3'Oclock. It doesn't print at all, only thing I really ever worry about is bending over or getting out of a car the jacket will occasionally rise up above the gun.

It does get hot in Texas but "its not supposed to be comfortable, it's supposed to be comforting"

Does anyone know how warm a sherpa denim jacket is? I'm really digging this one, but I live in the Phoenix valley in AZ, so the lowest it gets during the day is about 50 degrees, maybe 40. Would this jacket be too hot for this kinda weather? If it's not, does anyone have any suggestions to a similar jacket that would be suitable for my weather, preferably something that I could pair with jeans and chinos. Thanks!
