You really cannot teach a rabbit not to do something. You can however teach that something she should do is better than something she should not do. Bunnies understand redirecting behavior and positive reinforcement.

Let me be more specific - he wants to jump on the bed and he will once he leans how to unless you block it off for him with an xpen type gate. But if you provide to him an alternative to jump onto like say his own bed and every time he wants to jump on yours you lead him to his own and reward with a treat or favorite green he will learn that it is better to jump on his own bed and not the big one. It's really the only way.

So do something like this for him - https://www.amazon.com/IKEA-Duktig-Doll-Bedlinen-Multicolor/dp/B00D5ZZU7K/ref=asc_df_B00D5ZZU7K/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241932089454&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10120233346855035649&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9019544&hvtargid=pla-359516398005&psc=1

You can also get him a sturdy cat tree (not too tall))... bunnies like to jump teaching them not to jump is like if you tried to teach yourself to never do what you like... it won't work unless you find a better alternative.

_______________

As far was chewing - do hide things...

But also again provide alternatives.

  1. Bunnies are smart and they need toys to entertain them and stay out of trouble. In the absence of good things to chew they will chew the other things - chewing and digging is their natural instinct, so the solution is not to spot them, but to provide alternatives specifically meant for them to chew and dig and to reinforce them using it. Bunnies are very food-motivated so you can use food to train them to do what you want them to do. :)

    1. I will mention some things to buy and make for toy for your bun below - don't think you need to get everything - start with some basic things and rotate toys to keep him interested. But the most important thing is reinforcing and redirecting. Bunnies unlike cats and dogs don't understand negative reinforcement or discipline at all, it scares them and actually leads to the opposite of desired results. But they do really understand positive reinforcement and build positive associations when you redirect bad behavior and reward good behavior. So you have to actively and diligently train the bunny overtime not to chew and dig the wrong things. Anytime you see digging or chewing, immediately try to offer a toy or some alternative instead and reward with a small treat when it works. This does need to be done very diligently each time you see him do things like that.

So what to give as toys?

  2. Bunnies like exporting type toys - tunnels, cardboard houses, willow and hay balls, chews, and treat puzzles . The two thread below have examples:

    1. https://www.reddit.com/r/Rabbits/comments/an8cut/rabbit_room_ideas/
    2. https://www.reddit.com/r/Rabbits/comments/ajf2vl/how_to_enrich_my_rabbits_life/
  3. Also a couple suggestions below that are my personal favorites and all buns tend to enjoy:

    1. Treat/pellets ball - feed pellets in it vs a bowl
    2. Nesting cups - hide little treat bits between stacked cups, I have not met a bun who doesn't love these
    3. Plastic slinky - most buns love these
    4. Play house
    5. Dig box
  4. Also try homemade things - the best I found was an empty egg carton stuffed wit favorite greens for him to figure out how to open. :)

    1. Or something like this https://www.reddit.com/r/Rabbits/comments/be338f/diy_pellet_dispenser/
    2. Or a homemade castle like this person did https://www.reddit.com/r/Rabbits/comments/bcl9p4/cardboard_castle/ - she has instructions on how to make one, send her a message.
  5. Chew toys specifically - there are what you need to get to offer as alternatives to him chewing furniture!

    1. Willow and hay balls are great - good quality ones here https://shop.smallpetselect.com/collections/natural-toys-and-chews-for-rabbits
    2. They also have these logs where you can hide treats and pellets for fun - the bun would love to chew those I think and they last too. :)
    3. Great quality toys that are super fragrant and yummy to chew here https://www.farmerdavepetsupply.com/toys
    4. And thicker good chew sticks here https://www.farmerdavepetsupply.com/chew-sticks

I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!! My inlaws keep buying my kids huge toys, and I officially have no fucking space left. You know, in my 3 bedroom detached house that we’ve only lived in under 3 years. DH said that he had spoken to them about it, then for DS’s birthday in September they walked in with this fucker. Bonus was that they put it together before bringing it over so it’s not like we could return it, and I don’t feel like being the asshole in my kids’ eyes by taking it away when they’re so obviously stoked. Now here’s the conundrum this Christmas: when I was a child, my dad built me a Barbie house and it’s been in his basement for the last 25 years until I had kids of my own to pass it on to. Last week we moved it and I’m working on painting it and changing the carpets. Now, I’m not even sure where we’re gonna put it since IL’s gifts are taking up all the space, but if I have to I’ll be getting rid of a few. I also made and Amazon wish list with Calico Critters sets to fill up the house (DD is only 4 and I think she’ll enjoy those more than Barbie). I plan on sending a link to my mom, and I told DH that my ideal scenario would be for his parents to buy directly from the list. He said that he felt like that would take the “fun” out of it for them. Smoke practically came out of my ears. First, their “fun” has so far meant that I haven’t been given the courtesy of choosing whether I want to house massive toys or not. Second, following the list would mean that DD has a completely furnished dollhouse by the end of Christmas, with no doubles or extras or empty rooms. That would be pretty awesome for her. Third, DH only told them “calico Critters stuff”, no other details. Knowing them, they’ll buy something like this instead of something like this. I’ll get to be the jerk that takes away the cutesy dollhouse because we don’t need a second one (btw, my dollhouse is massive and the shit. All my friends were crazy jealous lol). Fourth and lastly, I feel like not listening to us when DH said to tone it down deserves consequences, namely being told exactly what to buy even if it’s not as fun. I could give a fuck about their fun, when I have to manoeuvre around a trashed train table every single day because my kids are too young to play gently with a toy that has about a hundred detachable parts.

Solidarity.

Hahah, we must have the same rabbit! Not chewing the chew toys is probably no big deal, as long as he's eating hay and getting his teeth checked at the vet regularly. We've never found a single chew toy or dig toy our rabbit had any interest in... And we've bought a lot. What he DOES love is hopping onto things! He's gotten onto couches, tables, TV stands, the top of his own cage. Yelling, clapping, stern voice never fazed him. What usually breaks him of the habit of jumping on a new place is giving him as little attention as possible when he does it. We'll gently shoo him off, then immediately turn our back and walk away. We also found him some toys that seem to satisfy some of that exploring urge: this two story house, this doll bed, and a cat tunnel to run through. If he really won't stop, we'll put up some kind of physical barrier he can't jump over. He has also gotten into our trash can (he went after a banana peel...), which we solved by getting a covered trash can, so maybe that's an option? Good luck with him! They can be really frustrating, but just remember they're all different and figure out what works best for your little guy =)

I bought it in the children's toy section at Ikea. You can also buy it on Amazon, but it's like twice as expensive. My buns love cuddling on it. :)

> How do I send a tiny violin to the Ecuadorian embassy?

Very easy.

Order a violin made for a dollhouse.

https://www.amazon.com/Dollhouse-Miniature-Musical-Instrument-Wooden/dp/B00P8TBT9Y

This is the address to have it shipped to:

Julian Assange c/o

Embassy of Ecuador

Flat 3b, 3 Hans Crescent,

LONDON SW1X 0LS UNITED KINGDOM

Now I expect your "friend" to do this.

This is what I use to feed my adult garg

When my gecko was still a tiny baby I found a This kind of thing at Michael's craft supply store. The Glaze makes it fairly easy to get half-dry food off of, and if it gets cemented on, a hot soak will help without ruining the tiny dish.

Speaking of miniatures: It's really stinkin' cute to set up a little miniature table and watch them eat off of little plates ahah

Generally the Gloss Gull Gray over White scheme was a bit shiny, not flat as you have it. Also, by applying a gloss coat before decals the decal silvering goes away, and a gloss (or satin or matte) finish coat will seal everything in.

The paint looks a bit rough. Apply the color coats in 2-4 thin layers, rubbing each layer with a t-shirt once dry to try and polish/smooth the paint a bit. Apply the paint at 90* to the previous layer.

This particular scheme is one of the easiest to do. I like using a rattle can white primer as once the white primer is misted on a few times and the seams and other imperfections taken care of, half the painting is done!

Seams -- I can see a big gap between the fuselage and the wing. Fill that with putty...because of the area a water based putty like Perfect Plastic Putty can be applied and before it is fully dry take a cotton bud and moisten it, then wipe the area until the seam is smooth. No sanding required.

Weapons -- that's a strange load for a Skyhawk. They usually did not carry air-to-air missiles on the early versions, and the only air-to-ground missiles they carried was the Bullpup or Shrike missiles which would be much larger. Typical for that version (which isn't the A4D-1, despite the package, more like an A-4E with that avionics pack on the back).

Here's the Amazon link. $36.48 with Prime.

Hilariously there's also a link to one there for $622.90 plus $10.00 shipping. I probably wouldn't recommend that one.

I highly recommend them (the affordable one) We got one at IKEA a few months ago and our guy loves his.

This is the best thing ever!

Did you do it from a pattern? Do you have a source for tiny patterns?

Get a frame from a dollhouse supply place or Amazon. If it doesn't fit any of the premade ones exactly, you can get tiny moulding and cut it in a tiny miter box with a little saw.

Please post a picture when it's framed!

If she is into the classics, try this out https://www.amazon.com/Dollhouse-Miniature-Eames-Chair-Ottoman/dp/B00JMR20RI

Nothing wrong with books, dude. They have great references and are at times a light read too.

If she is into more into architecture then try http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/frank-lloyd-wright-bruce-brooks-pfeiffer/1016000539?ean=9783836555982&st=PLA&sid=BNB_DRS_Core+Shopping+Books_00000000&2sid=Google_&sourceId=PLGoP62464

Heck even stray away from it. I'm sure she has more than enough to deal with at work, maybe don't draw attention to what she does. Hell, Go to a show or rent a cabin or something. Ladys like doing stuff.

FIRST we need to know the scale you are using, past comment said that the dollar tree furniture is too big, so that diminishes anything 1/12 and above.

Edit: doing some digging through post and comment history I noticed pieces of furniture that look like an item I have, which is about half the size of 1/12 scale, so what is seems is that we are dealing somewhere around 1/24.

Next is finding style, like material, colors, and interaction.

More name brands like calico critters use plastic materials which would be hard to restyle but most sets come with many items, and they are close to 1/24. If you have tried that and find it doesn't work then maybe. ---->

It's made out of wood, looks mostly unfinished, and I believe all that's seen is there. Although it ships from china.

Aww thank you! It's just a dollhouse brass hinge, which comes with teeny tiny nails, which I ignored and replaced with superglue :D If I were to do something like this again, I would laser in some registration holes where the hinge ought to go and use the teeny nails with a teeny hammer.

Example hinges: https://www.amazon.com/PIXNOR-Cabinet-Closet-Hinges-Screws/dp/B016XSPL88/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1505162028&sr=8-1&keywords=dollhouse+hinges
