This book is about the song Hallelujah (which is a beautiful song) and how it became to be one of the most recorded songs in history. It was originally kind of a failure but somehow made it to the place where it is today where it has been performed by hundreds of musicians. I find it amazing that this song that almost didn't make it onto the album it was originally written for. When it did make it to the album it was a flop, yet here we are listening to this song that has become so popular.

I purchased these earrings off of Amazon and always receive compliments on them. I like that they are sterling silver, and the 10mm are the largest size I'd select without being too large.

If she's prone to losing earrings frequently (like I used to be), cubic zirconia earrings are a good alternative! They're really inexpensive but look nice in the ears. I still have some pairs from 5-6 years ago and I'm really happy with them.

In general, I really love the options at Francesca's, and it helps that they frequently have a BOGO 50% sale all the time. Some of their options may not be appropriate for the more conservative fields, but I find that they generally are appropriate for young professionals.

Finally, I've purchased these and these earrings from Nordstrom and I am in absolute love with both pairs. Nordstrom can have some really reasonably prices jewelry, like this pair or this pair.

Oh! Sorry to keep stretching this out, but for real last one: if the person you are shopping for really likes unique pieces, I encourage you to take a look at Etsy's options. There are so many earrings there that would be difficult to find elsewhere.

I am an English teacher at an urban, low-income high school in the city, and one of my students, one of my BEST most AMAZING students, a really respectful girl who cares about her future and her grades and got ME dinner at her work one day after school after I gave her a ride there, came bouncing into the room telling me she really wanted the new Kelly Rolland CD, and how I should buy it for her. Please please don't do this! I know it sounds like a great cheap solution, hell I even used to do it but the clear nail polish can come off IN your ear and cause a ton of problems.

A much better solution is post earring covers for post earrings and replacing your dangle earring ear wires with silver, gold or platinum ear wires which you can pick up at stores like Michael's or Joann Fabrics.

I am going to be going Trick or Treating with my 14 month old daughter and a group of friends. Our friends have a small tribe of children, so I know they will keep us entertained :P Before we leave to go get candy, they always have a 'Halloween Dinner' before hand complete with worms, zombie fingers, and lots of other gross things. I have the same problem. For post earrings I use something like this and for hook earrings I just replace them - I prefer lever-back findings to traditional French hook ear wires anyway. All it takes is a couple of jump rings and a needlenose pliers to swap out. Once I found a type of finding that worked for me (surgical steel) I bought a load and replace the hook every time I get a new pair.
