I have oily skin - After I bought all these products and using them for weeks, my skin improved a bit, but I was still unsatisfied with how oily my skin was and overall clarity. I knew that using these products are strictly superficial and that if I wanted to see real significant change, I would have to adjust my lifestyle. Since then I've been exercising more regularly, eating more vegetables, and drinking more water.. Wowwwwww like srs some days I wake up and I'm just amazed at how much my skin is glowing! Of course I still have some problem areas. For example, my dark circles haven't been improving because they're partly genetic and I get around 6-7 hours of sleep a night -_-. I'm a work in progress!!!

AM SKINCARE ROUTINE

  1. CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser - it does a good job of removing all my sweat and oil and products off my face in the morning without making my face dry
  2. Thayers Rose Petal Toner - basic, but does the job and adds a bit of hydration after I shower
  3. HadaLabo Hydrating Lotion - has hyaluronic acid, so it’s best to use that when your face is still moist. Helps my products absorb better!
  4. Fourth Ray Remedy - 10% niacinamide serum. This is a new product by them, and I was REALLY excited to try it. After a few weeks, I have noticed a slight reduction in my forehead pores. My nose pores are still big though lol. I brush my teeth for a couple mins after this step to let the products soak into my skin
  5. Naturie Skin Conditioning Gel - I wouldn’t recommend for dry skin.. it’s the perf amt of moisture and it dries/absorbs fast
  6. N7 Lift & Luminate eye cream - hmm... it’s fine I’ll prob buy again because it’s relatively cheap and it’s often on sale with Target Cartwheel. It’s a light eye cream so it’s perf for the day time
  7. Skin Aqua Super Moisture Gel SPH 50 - super light! I have to use a moisturizer though, I know some people use it alone. Has alcohol, but my face hasn’t gotten dry or tight w it on

    PM NIGHTCARE ROUTINE

  8. DHC Deep Cleansing Oil (if I look gross/wearing a lot of makeup) OR Garnier Micellar Water: hate the smell of DHC because it’s like a mix of bamboo chopsticks and olive oil... does a great job of removing waterproof makeup, though you gotta rub it in for a while. The micellar water also does a good job of removing water proof makeup. I never feel gross after using it
  9. CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser - I love this so much! My skin doesn't feel stripped at all. When I'm not lazy or if I wore a lot of makeup I use the Solo Mio (aka bootleg Foreo mini). It does a great job of gently washing my face AND the battery life is great . I like it more than my old Clarisonic Mia.
  10. Thayers Rose Petal Toner or The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner (rotate) - the glycolic acid burns my face sometimes, feels like a very mild allergic reaction.. but after I put on essence the burning stops
  11. CosRX Snail Mucin Essence - very hydrating, my products soak better into my skin
  12. The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid (if I'm NOT using the glycolic acid toner) - it’s anti aging but I really can’t tell if it’s working? I like how it’s an oil based formula so it adds a little moisture
  13. Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream - basic eye cream I’m trying to finish asap. Has a beautiful glass container, but it’s unsanitary to use if you don’t have a spatula
  14. Acure Night Cream or Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide cream - I love the DE one! Light yet moisturizing, and it feels great on my face. The Acure one smells like herbal medicine.. I think it made my skin glow a bit
  15. Physician's Formula Bright Booster Oil Elixir - only if I used a clay mask or if my skin was dry for some reason. It helps seal all of moisture inn
  16. Jade Roller whenever I'm not lazy... sooooo maybe 2x a week. It feels so nice and cold on the face after I stick it in the fridge for a few hours

Lmk if anyone has any questions!

When I first heard of how well AB products work, I went on a binge and tried out so many, and while all are really great, I keep reaching for the Mizon Black Snail AIO the most. I don't like any perfume smelling lotions, no matter how great they are. The Mizon black snail has no smell to it, so perfect for me. I also felt it healed my acne, acne scabs, and dry patches, and just left me with healthier, softer skin.

I'm not sure if you would be up to trying all of these items, but here's my skin regimen (to heal acne and acne scabs/scars, dry patches, and aging skin and wrinkles) to compare. I have been doing this for about six months and am tweaking very little. I haven't had any acne break outs in the last three months now (well maybe one minor pimple that heals within a day or two) and my skin is the most normal it's been in my teenage/adult life.

Morning:
Cosrx Low Ph Good Morning Gel Cleanser. I love this cleanser and am not changing.

I use two Konjac half sphere shaped sponges when cleansing. I like to use two of these at the same time, one to lather up the soap (less soap is needed with these sponges) and one to rinse it off, and then I rinse both out and run under warm water and hold the two flat halves against my eyes. The warmth feels so wonderful.

I like the red or pink clay ones, but here's a sample pack. Also they usually come with a small string looped into the sponge. If they don't, you can just get a needle and thread and put one it. This is because they need to be hung up to dry out, so they don't get any mold in them. When they dry out, make sure to run under water to re-expand them fully before use, and don't squeeze until they are fully soft and expanded again, or otherwise you will begin to degrade the sponge and it will start to fall apart.

Then I use Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner. (If you buy from there, you get a Benton Bee Snail mask try too. That mask is one of my all time favorites.)

Then I use the Benton Snail Bee Essence. (If you buy from here, you get another mask and a few samples to try too.)

New York Laboratories Dark Circle Eye Cream. Not Korean, but uses some good ingredients.

MIZON Black Snail All In One Cream

You can also add another cream over this, like one with retinol or hyalouric acid or both. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I am happy with the above and it works for me.
___

Evening:
Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam Facial Foaming Cleanser. I love this cleanser and am not changing.

I use the cleanser with the Konjac sponges again. I find when you use the sponges, that you don't really need to use a separate exfoliator product daily, which can be harsh on your skin. So think gentle products (See at the bottom).

Then I use the same toner as above, and the same eye cream, but sometimes I also add on Cosrx Honey Ceramide Eye Cream.

I use the same Mizon snail cream as above and then a "sleeping pack cream". I have a few I am trying at the moment and can't say which I would recommend yet, but I keep going back mostly to the SKIN CERAMIC Donkey Milk Yogurt Sleeping Pack one. It is not too greasy like some of the others and my skin feels super moist from it.

I do a sheet mask at least once a week (more if I can - lately I have been doing about 3-4 a week). I subscribe to a monthly sheet mask bag at MissTutii.com, and they will send about 7-8 sheet masks each month. I love the snail masks best, the honey ones are my second favorite, and then the donkey milk ones. My Miss Tutii is ending next month, and I am thinking of switching over to Mask Maven subscription, which sends nine masks each month.

I use only mild forms of exfoliation (I am so, so, so done with the rough kinds!!!), like Neogen Dermalogy Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Wine, to help skin turn-over maybe 1-2 times a week. I keep the jar in the fridge and use after a shower in the morning, but you can also use in the evening after you cleanse and before you apply essence/cream. When I use these pads, I skip the toner part of the regimen and sometimes essence too.

I also have Seven Seconds Morning Sheet. That one has gentle dots on the pad that exfoliate. I tend to use this one when I am in a rush and can't spend the time to do a full skin regimen. This one you just cleanse and do the pad and then you are done.

I use Nooni AHA/BHA peel pad about once a week.

About two times a month I use Laura Mercier Face Polish.

And speaking of healthy skin regimen, don't forget about getting good, quality sleep. Get yourself a few boxes of these KAO heated eye masks. They are freaking amazing! They are so nice and light and comfortable and soothing, and they do block out the light too. I love the rose smelling ones.

Oh yes definitely. I usually loop the tie around the base twice, and then around the back of the bun once to hold it tight against my head. I also usually pull the ends through the middle of the the bun first so it doesn't come loose. My hair is super heavy.

I've gotten some basic hair sticks at Claire's that have held up pretty well, but my favorites are these costume jewelry ones I found on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00IRZ8B9C/ref=mp_s_a_1_11_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1478655305&sr=8-11&keywords=hair+sticks

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BM4GG9C/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There are a bunch like them there. There are also some big hinged barrettes by the same company, and I have a couple, but they don't hold as much hair, so I pretty much just use them to decorate something that's actually secured with bobby pins or a hair tie.

I have one big parrot clip (that might not be the right name, but it looks like a toucan's beak) that I think I got at Walmart, but I actually like the regular sticks a lot better. It takes some practice, but now I think they're a lot easier to work with.

Honestly, some of the more comfortable-looking and aesthetically pleasing patches seem to be from creators on Etsy. Some are a lot more reasonably priced than you'd expect, too. General search, patch 1, patch 2, patch 3 – looks cool, but bit more expensive.

Amazon has some, too. I have one like this – REALLY do not recommend that style! The cheap price is nice, but it is soft and starts bending inward and pokes my ball (ow), so I imagine it will bend and press into your socket. Looks shit, too. But this other type looks super comfortable and pleasingly simple. Bit cheaper than Etsy patches, too.

What country/area are you from? That information would help figure out which companies would be easiest for you to order from. If you're from, like, South Africa trying to order from amazon.ca or amazon.com, you're going to have a lot of waiting and a lot of shipping fees, if you can even get it shipped there.

Rave: Mint Maniac This works miracles. I have been having trouble with my spit line as I've been talking more than I usually do and after a few swipes, my lips were completely clear of everything that was on them and I was able to properly moisturize. (It had been sitting on my shelf for a few years and I was happily surprised it still worked.)

Rant: Sweet Cherry by ELF. It's been on my shelf around the same time as Mint Maniac. Don't buy it. When I opened it to apply on my lips it was dry and when I smelled it. It smelled like those off brand crayons where it smells like straight up wax. It was awful.

Rave: Palmer's Swivel Stick This is a life saver. I mainly use it on my lips but when I gave it to my mom, her skin instantly started looking more lively.

Sensitive Burt's Bees My eyes tend to water like crazy, especially during allergy season and when I put on makeup. This works like a charm. Plus, it keeps all the dirt from drifting into sensitive pockets and overall is a great investment.

Burt's Bees Hydrating Mask I use this as lotion for my face. Not only does it protect my face from harsh outside elements, it keeps it hydrated and plump and looking healthy. Another great investment.

u/ec-vt · 3 pointsr/30PlusSkinCare

If you have dry/sensitive skin and live in dry climate, I would suggest to only rinse your face with cold water in the morning.

In your morning routine, I would apply the Cosrx essence after Klairs toner. The oil would prevent the essence from absorption. In the winter (AM) I would also add a barrier repairing element (Stratia Liquid Gold, CeraVE PM lotion [4% niacinimide], or Dr. Jart Ceramide products) to maintain the moisture in the dry indoor/outdoor climate.

Consider Laneige skin cream for extra moisture in the winter AM.

In the PM routine, again, I would apply the Cosrx essence right after Klairs toner. I don't have sensitive skin so all of the TO retinol in squalane is very gentle on my face. I have since moved on to A313 a French OTC Vitamin A pommade. This pommade is very occlusive so you may not need to use the Cicaplast Baume unless your skin is very irritated. After this tube I'm considering moving onto tretinoin. If you are interested in A313 then read this post by TheSkincareEdit.

For a stand alone SPF I love my EltaMD UV Shield Broad-Spectrum SPF 45. It's a physical UV filter so my eyes aren't irritated even if I get up close to the lower lash. It uses nano zinc oxide as a filter, so there will be some white cast but it subsides after 5-10 minutes (I don't mind it). You can use it on your arms as well and it is very hydrating.

If you are concerned with anti-aging treatment then you cannot neglect the eyes. I use ColorScience Total Eye 3-in-1 (I would shop a better price than Amazon). I would apply Dr. Brenner L-Ascorbic up to my lash line and use an eye SPF to prevent pigmentation around my eyes. TO caffeine and ECGC serum is really good for puffy eyes - one drop for both eyes. TO also has argireline which tightens the skin (been described as botox in a bottle). This is on my wishlist to try next. Niod Fractionated eye contour concentrated is a good product for your eye. Copper peptide is also good for anti-aging. TO has it in the new Buffet formula or the NIOD Copper Amino Isolate. The copper peptide, supposedly, keeps your skin in a state of repair. See review here.

I bought some of the Frownies patches, but where they were made out of craft paper, they ended up leaving lines where the paper ended whenever I used them under my eyes. Another product I bought that I was much happier with was these that come in different shapes and sizes. They are also reusable, and I found them to be more comfortable. I have also noticed since I've been using the Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid, ALL the wrinkles on my face have diminished greatly. You can buy a sample pack for 80 cents (but might as well try some more products/additional samples since the first three samples are free and shipping is cheap).

Hi there!

I know I'm replying to this very late (the modqueue buried it!), but I just wanted to let you know that Automod has removed your comment because it contains an Amazon referral link.

Could you please edit the URL for the Palmer's Swivel Stick and Burt's Bees Sensitive so that everything from (and including) "tag=" is removed? That way, the product page will still be visible - but no one can make a profit from the link.

Here are the tag-free URLs for an easy copy & paste:

If you've done that, please reply to this message so I can approve your comment. Thank you!

lol.. I bought few . However I am not sure if they put super urls on the purchase button.
it is like this
http://www.amazon.com/Wrinkle-Cream-Vita-Vibrance-Organic/dp/B00YBID7T8%3FSubscriptionId%3DAKIAI6II4ORQQCHWCS4A%26tag%3Dr3all4kjh32j-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB00YBID7T8

I just pushed it and bought it . ... lol that is so stressful. I think it would help if review trading site can post for reviewers to avoid super url. =( . I wish they do not ban me for this few occasions that happened.

So it's an eye gel, but I love Radha Beauty's Intensive Youth Eye Gel. I have dry skin and eyelids, and I found this really helps keep them hydrated. It takes a couple weeks for you to notice the reduction in under bags as well, but I have noticed a huuuge difference. I absolutely love it.

u/aloe_chaos_lamb · 1 pointr/Blind

This isn’t glasses so might or might not suit your purposes, but my wife recently got me a Mindfold to help with my light sensitivity—it’s a sleep mask that is very comfortable and truly obscures 100% of light. Might be good at least for certain situations. Edit: whoops, obviously I didn’t read carefully enough! My bad.

u/onedisection · 0 pointsr/HomeImprovement

This is my recommendation. Bare Bones Ozone Generator https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007GS5L08/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_N56OwbMTXTKKP

Add a fan to that, run room by room. Shock the shit out if it. You'll be golden.

We use periodically to improve smells from our dogs and kids...

This is the BEST kit to get. Don't get many of there others, they don't produce enough ozone.

Also, run it into duct work cold air return and run fan. Make sure to air out before moving in.

Perhaps a duct cleaning, too.

Sorry, kind of a long winded post based off of inexperience.

Skin Type: I believe I have dry skin, the only issues I have with my skin is flakey patches every once in a while, especially on my forehead and in between my eyebrows. I've also noticed under my eyebrow hairs! Ew! I've never had a problem with oil. Never MAC matched, my current foundation is Naked Skin 1.0 and it's way too dark.

Country/Climate I'm in: Illinois- weather changes all the time. Recently it has been very cool here.

Top Skin Concern: Dry skin. I consistantly have hormonal acne breakouts on my chin which are usually deep and don't have a head. I have a tendency to pick which I know is bad! :( I am currently on birthcontrol. I have redness on the sides of my nose. I also have dark circles under my eyes. The darkness may be caused my having thin skin under my eyes. I can literally see a blood vessel running under my eye!

Current Routine/Products I'm Using:
AM
Cerave knock off moisturizer in the tub

PM
yes to blueberries age refresh smoothing daily cleanser
Cerave knock off moisturizer in the tub
Yes to blueberries age refresh softening facial exfoiliator about once a week
yes to tomatoes clay mask when i remember (once very few weeks usually)

Occassionally I wear a face mask. They're usually cheapies from an asian grocery store. :)

I specifically am interested in incorporating a few more impactful products into my routine. I am almost done with my Cerave knock off moisturizer!
I lurked around and think I am going to get this sunscreen (Biore SARASARA UV Perfect Bright Milk SPF50 + pink bottle). I think I'd like to add 1 or 2 more products and see what I think.
Perhaps this eye cream for my dark under eye circles?

And perhaps this to replace my moisturizer.
I picked these out based off of HG posts, let me know what you guys think! I am interested in masks as well but the prices of the ones I've seen that are recommended kind of scare me off! :(

I have been looking at BB creams and am intersting in MISSHA #13 as was recommended from PaleMUA because I have strong pink undertones! here

u/momasjuan · 2 pointsr/AsianBeauty

gel cream

It’s awesome if you have oil prone skin that is dehydrated and likes ceramides. It does a very good job hydrating for me as a last step and as a mild occlusive layer. It can double as a sleeping mask if I lay it on thick under my Stratia Liquid Gold.

u/seriouslyslowloris · 17 pointsr/GiftIdeas

ideas to go with the self care basket: a bottle of nail polish, a one month audible gift subscription ($15), a scented candle, a cooling eyemask (though I've seen these at dollar tree so if you're trying to just fluff up the gift with little extras, I think the dollar store version of this is perfectly acceptable), some calming tea/sleepytime tea (if you're trying to keep the gift more on the casual side, you could throw in a few teabags vs the whole box), some stationery/cards (if she is writing to her husband and/or seems the type). this isn't something you can put in a gift basket-- but she might benefit from checking out the app "insight timer" it has a crap ton of guided (and non guided) meditations that you can sort through by time length (so if you literally just need a 5 minute guided anti-anxiety meditation, you can find it easily).

u/DamnImLost · 1 pointr/AsianBeauty

This is the one my husband got me. I'm satisfied with it so far.
Honestly I still would have preferred to do a bit more research before buying one, but he thought he'd surprise me with it. I just didn't do a lot of research and comparisons. But as I said, this one works just fine :)

u/azumane · 3 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

I have the same issue! I haven't found a permanent fix (it seems like the only real fix is fillers), but these masks by Etude House help a lot! On the one I'm linking to, they're about $10 for 10 of them, and there's enough serum that I can usually use them and store them away so that I can use them about three or four times before I have to open up a new one. I use them about once a week, along with using a vitamin C serum daily (which mostly just clears up my undereye bags).

This is 10.00$ for everything you need pax related and the 10 dollars you spend is worth it JUST for that amazing metal scraper you will be able to keep it clean all the time.

u/texpatcat · 2 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

Hi! For dark circles, I've had luck with Cremorlab Shadow-Off Eye Cream, but it's pretty pricey. A cheaper/drugstore alternative that's also worked is Neutrogena's Rapid Dark Circle Repair.

u/braomius · 7 pointsr/JoeRogan

I had constant eye bags like this, maybe even worse. Stressful job with alternative day and night shifts. Getting a better job helped immensely but I asked a girl for what I could buy that could help and that worked a bit. Also helps that I wear glasses that make them less obvious.

This was the product .. or at least similar. It's not magic, took 2-3 weeks to notice a real difference.

u/Poobler · 1 pointr/AsianBeauty

Are there any good masks for hydrating the skin under your eyes?

I found this product and was wondering if anyone here had some experience with it. One of the pictures in the comment section looked really promising.

u/Mikazah · 1 pointr/ProductTesting

That's a super url. You only want this part: http://www.amazon.com/Wrinkle-Cream-Vita-Vibrance-Organic/dp/B00YBID7T8

You should be okay if it was only a couple times though.

u/aspaceodyssey_2001 · 2 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

neutrogena and roc both make good, fairly inexpensive retinol eye creams. I just started using hyaluronic acid myself so don't have much basis for comparison but I've been using this for a few weeks and it's definitely made a difference.

u/me0wlo · 2 pointsr/AsianBeauty

I got mine on Amazon! The Liquid is like $10 cheaper than it is at Sephora! But the Gel Cream is $7.50 cheaper than at Sephora.

Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Liquid / Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Gel Cream

Just make sure to clean it often. Preferably once every two weeks if you use it daily.

Also, I would invest in one of these Cleaning Kits.

This is the product I use: https://www.amazon.com/LOreal-Paris-Expert-Energetic-Anti-Fatigue/dp/B003ZBK8EO . It definitely helps to make the area under your area lighter. Don't know if they sell it where you live but it's on amazon so...

I've been using this for a month and I am seeing an improvement with my dark circles. I put it on after taking a shower or washing my face with hot water. It seems to work better when your skin is more porous and blood vessels are less restricted.

If you can't adjust by stance or any of the other methods here, and you aren't worried about looking a little goofy, try grabbing a cheap eyepad. Wear it whenever you shoot pistol for a couple of trips, and see if that helps.

For some folks, you works great, for others it is an annoyance.

Three words: heated eye mask.

This one comes with a lavender sachet that you can remove if you don’t like lavender (I threw it out). I’ve had it for about 2 years and it’s one of my favorite things.

You can also buy single use disposable ones if you don’t want to mess with another usb cord while you’re on the flight.

Thanks for the advice, also just bought a small ozone generator http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007GS5L08/ref=pe_385040_127541850_TE_item

Going to make a small boxed in environment with an exhaust fan on either side to try to saturate items with ozone to remove smells.

The two active ingredients here are UVA and UVB sunscreen compounds. The rest are just normal moisturisers or products found in moisturisers.

Considering some of the causes, I don't think you're going to be able to sunblock or moisturise your way out of it!

Well it's not AB but this has been given 4.5 stars on amazon by more than a thousand people.

Edit: I also bought it for my dad and he says it's working.

Can anyone tell me if they think this product is legit? This is the cremorlab shadow off eye cream and the current price on Amazon is almost half that of Peach & Lily

I've been using Radha Plant Stem Cell cream and like it. I've tried a couple of other ones for under eye bags/puffiness but so far have only noticed a different with Radha!

No problem! It’s all about what works for us all individually

Edit: btw, you say you lay with an ice pack over your face (my fav method).. you can actually buy ones on Amazon that have a strap that go around your head, like a sleeping mask. It is so helpful to be able to walk around, sit up, lay sideways, etc.

Are the lines caused by your pillow or are they caused by frowning? If they are caused by the pillow, you can try a beauty pillow that's designed to help you sleep on your back or take pressure off the majority of your face:

If they are caused by frowning in your sleep, try an Anti-wrinkle tape:

You should not need active efforts to keep your place odor free. Keep it clean, keep laundry done, etc. If you still have an odor issue try to figure out the source and eliminate it.

That said, something like this ozone generator will kill odors rapidly and leave your place smelling like a lightning storm in a spring meadow. It was $20 cheaper when I bought it so shop around. ;) I use it in my condo since there is no external ventilation in the kitchen and everything you cook hangs around. 15 minutes with that kills most everything. Run for a couple of hours while you are out the first time or two you use it.

If it is skin, there's a way:

A quick "neck sheet mask" google search came up with that. I don't know about the eye ones, but there's the under eye ones?

You guys should try one of these: http://www.amazon.com/LOreal-Paris-Expert-Hydra-Energetic-0-33-Fluid/dp/B003ZBK8EO

It has helped my puffiness/dark circles. Should be able to find it locally too.

Etude House Collagen Eye Patch ($8 for 10 patches) depuffed my eyes after a 6 hour flight. Also has a strangely wakening effect, so I highly recommend!
