(Part 2) Reddit mentions: The best field, court, gym & rink equipment

I try to keep my bag as streamlined as possible but I like to be prepared.

Here are the things I always bring:

-cheap plastic poncho everyday / higher quality rain jacket when rain is expected

-refillable plastic water bottle (I carry a 12 oz nalgene) with bottle of mio flavoring

-small bottle of advil and another with dramamine ( I get motion sick easily)

- Locking pin backs for keeping trading pins secure.

-battery pack and phone charging cable

-snacks (I like to bring a bagel for a filling mid morning snack)

-small pack of baby wipes/hand wipes because I always end up eating something sticky.

** inflatable lightweight seat cushion for waiting on parades, fireworks, etc. (game changer!**)

**If you get just one thing for the trip, I HIGHLY recommend the inflatable seat cushion if you intend to wait around for parades, fireworks, see any shows, etc. You'd be surprised after walking around for hours how much of a difference having a comfortable surface to sit on makes. It's by far my favorite park item.

We got one of these Mini Hockey sets, threw it in the basement and had a blast!

It always starts off kinda goofy and fun - but turns into a serious hilarious competition.

I recommend trying to find more sticks if you can.

Pop up goals like these are a huge step up from just cones at scrimmage time. Kids can use them for shooting practices at most u-little age groups.

They perfectly fit the situation and every criteria you mentioned. What's the problem? Can you elaborate on what "fair use scraping" is?

If you can mount something to the house would be ideal provided you can get it up high.

Taking some halogen or LED worklights and attaching them to a large tree using ratcheting straps is also an idea. Just make sure that you don't do it too tight so you don't hurt the tree.

Kind of the same deal, slows the ball down a little, returns it to play. Keeps it from going everywhere and having to chase it off the court. Also lets you know definitively that someone scored.

I have to disagree with this, but only because I worked at a major paint store that sold a line of spray cans specifically for road marking.

Was commonly used by road crews to do striping on short strips of road where bringing in larger equipment would have not been economically feasible. Such as if they needed just a short strip that could be easily walked.

Buy seat cushions for the chair, it goes a long way. I'd buy a good one to sit on and an ok one for my back to lean on.

4 feet is fairly small. One set I have is rectangle 4x3 and those are fine but with the arch shape 6 ft is not a bad idea.

It's pretty common where I'm from. Basically, it's just hockey played on your knees with little sticks in an open room. They sell things like this today, but throughout my childhood we always improvised for nets.
