I love Quest bars, and now I love these too: https://www.amazon.com/Oh-Yeah-One-Bar-Compliant/dp/B073G7TYN2/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1505886398&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=oh+yeah+bars&psc=1

The flavors are phenomenal! I mean, a protein bar that tastes like Birthday Cake or a Maple Glazed Donut?! Sooooo gooooood

Lara Bars, especially the lemon bar flavor, are my favorite right now. They’re all real food (dates, cashews, lemons, almonds) they taste really really good, and they are frequently on sale at my local grocery store for under $1 each.

I prefer making a sandwich or packing a light snack, but when I need something quick and easy that I can eat on the bike, those are my go-to every time!

Edit: looks like they’re on sale on Amazon right now — https://www.amazon.com/Larabar-Gluten-Free-Lemon-Count/dp/B071XWVQCV/

Some of these Costco bars are "granola" bars in terms of form factor but don't have any grain! Like, they have these: https://www.amazon.com/Caveman-Foods-Paleo-Friendly-Nutrition-Chocolate/dp/B00IRRJY2S which TBH are so good I had a hard time believing the carb count. These also have no grain and are also really good: https://www.amazon.com/Organic-Paleo-Bars-oz-Pack/dp/B07PPR5L4M

Yes there's definitely sugar in them...but also plenty of protein and fat.

You can absolutely do it! It doesn't necessarily need to be raw vegan, however, especially as there are a huge variety of cooked & other non-raw vegan protein sources available. So let's start with the baskets:

May do you well to pack breakfast bars (I like these for protein, but Enjoy Life and Van's are good as well.) in order to cover yourself in terms of breakfast. Most of their breakfast is bread based.

I was just in Italy and when searching for places to eat to make life easier (AKA not just a pizza place) I used a TripAdvisor App. These would be ones for Paris. If you download everything before you go, you can use the app without data/internet. If you want GPA directions then you'd need to hop onto wifi but overall the reviews helped to find more reasonable food options.

:ZOMG We Need this!

This box of gluten-free delicious awesomeness. It gives us nutrients on the go, and it's so, sooooo yummy. We need this.

Mine is in my "Help/Needs" list.

Thanks for the contest, and I totally swiped your belt for my wish list!

of course it's: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072JH86MM

You're right, and that's the issue. bars with proper nutrition, or at least close, don't even taste OK. I've had quest bars where I can't even finish the whole thing after paying for it. That's where I have to give props to RXBAR, they have under-par nutrition but taste is there. Texture is pretty bad though. FITJOY bars taste like a rubber shoe, even if they have decent nutrition.

on Nutrition, I personally as a consumer just look for that before I see anything else. But I also make sure to promote it on my Amazon page, and website.

While playing? Individual almond butter pouches, or something like Bobo's Bars.

Before rounds? If playing after lunch then salad and plenty of water, usually a coconut water as well. If playing before lunch then eggs and vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, etc.) either in the form of an omelette or scrambled + veggies on the side.

I eat a considerable amount of food in general, I just try to keep my net carbs down. And I try to minimize how much of a percentage of those carbs are in the form of sugar.

u/REtoasted · 5 pointsr/glutenfree

I didn't know those ones were. I knew that the Nut Crunch kind were specifically gluten free. These are good but those look better.

yea,

I was referring to the greek term which means:

I buy some 'XL' Nature Valley bars, the protein ones specifically. It's a pack of 7 for $5-$6.30 in my area, which is really the best value I've ever found for a protein bar that wasn't a clearance sale. I like them because they have way more fiber than any cheaper bars in the supplement section that my grocery stores provide. They're just short of 300 calories if I remember correctly. These you should find near all of Nature Valley's other products.

EDIT: If you don't lift or anything you could probably get full on the other XL versions too, I just haven't tried them personally to say either way.

Kind bars, this one is my fav.

We have a small selection compared to other stores (even though we're the biggest). My favorite at the moment is Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Peanut Granola Bars https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MUIGJ6E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_sIlUzbXTDA5YV

u/MapleMayhem · 2 pointsr/glutenfree

I guess they went up in price a bit, but a quick search of "kind bars gluten free" with prime shipping, sorted by price got me 360 results. The cheapest was a box of PB dark Chocolate for 62¢ a bar. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QT7V5RA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Zd13xbQSF1JXE

The only thing we already had in common was a $70 pot, so I added these
