It's spandex, so as long as you get a size that fits you, it will stretch comfortably and give you a full range of motion. Bodysuits are some of the most comfortable cosplays to wear!

I actually took my own advice and bought this belt on Amazon (plus two thigh holsters) for my Tigress cosplay. It would work just as well for Nightwing! I definitely want to do a fem!YJNightwing sometime in the near future, so I'll definitely use it for that.

If $25 is out of your price range for a quick costume, there's also this $15 utility belt.

Foam armor is an awesome idea, though with the costume due in just over a week, it might be tough if you don't have experience making foam armor. Look up some foam construction tutorials, and if you think you have time swing by JoAnn/Harbor Freight/Lowe's/Home Depot to get materials.

Oh, good point on the theater not approving of the escrimas. x) Better safe than sorry in that case.

u/Drinktothat421 · 2 pointsr/Shotguns

These are like half good half lower end. Both padded belts are OneTigris Padded Patrol Belt which comes with an ok inner belt which i switched out. (im happy with quality) if and when they fail ill go grunt gear or HSG. The inner belt on the AR belt is a IDK riggers belt which i had. I don’t think they are in business anymore. On the shotgun belt i took a chance on a amazon $20 XRaider Tactical Belt, to save like 30-40 bucks on a fusion belt crobra buckle or any number of 60-100 riggers belts. My idk belt has a rapotor bucket. The $20 belt has a pretty solid knock off style quick release. These battle belts are super expesive if you try to good high end with everything

If your interested in what i ordered here is the build:

Its not not cheap even when using a cheaper belt. The condor one only had the 2 molle loops. I didnt like that.

A clean place is fine; like a large table. It's pretty simple to not cut the intestines and bladder. Even easier and cleaner if you hang the car as from a tree. They even sell these devices that enable you to processes a carcass from the receiver hitch on your vehicle.

u/slingstone · 3 pointsr/Goruck

I have been happy with mine, but I got it secondhand and wouldn't even consider it at $60.

I'd go for something like this for $33 shipped and lock it onto the MOLLE with quality oval carabiners. Take inspiration from the Stony Smith Special.

u/BSent · 2 pointsr/magicTCG

http://www.amazon.com/Condor-Cross-Over-Leg-Rig/dp/B007XIU124

Here is an amzaon link. Other styles or websites might have cheaper versions, so consider that.

It's designed for holstering weapons; you can see the velcro straps on the side for clips. However it functions well as a carrying pack. It's a perfect middle ground between a backpack and using your pockets. Whenever I go on day trips or hiking, I don't really need a backpack, but my pockets can't hold a flashlight and a water bottle.

When I go hiking, I like running and climbing on things, so the fact that it straps to my leg helps because it stops it from shifting around all the time like other packs do.

u/KatipunanCowboy · 1 pointr/EDC

Oh that's cool. Since you reply I've been on a tear looking at other holsters, and seems like I may go with the Maxpedition 4" sheath with TacTies as my EDC bag has molle straps I'd like to link it up to. Appreciate all the replies thus far, though!

u/richalex2010 · 1 pointr/guns

You want one that you can throw on independent of the rest of your kit, or just a really good normal belt that you can put the holster and stuff on? For the latter I'm eyeing the Alonso Defense Emissary, made from scuba webbing and it looks super stiff. To date I've been using cheap $20 rigger-style belts (from my local big box gun store) and they work reasonably well for the price (at least for the tactical cosplay/range fuckery that I've done).

u/thepasttenseofdraw · 2 pointsr/geology

Tell her to buy some of theseand suck it up, if your gonna be a geo in the us, you're probably gonna spend some time out west, and snakes are gonna be there. That or buy some decent high boots and wear reinforced carharts. Also you should be sure you've got a sat phone and the closest emergency department. Out there they will usually have rattler anti-venom. But its gonna be a long time. You get bit, calm the fuck down, you probably aren't going to die if you're a healthy adult, but if you bring your heart rate up and keep there, you're not doing yourself any favors.

u/codewolf · 3 pointsr/ruger

You can spend a lot less for basically the same thing. I have a few of those inexpensive bags and they do just fine for a range bag. If you want something a bit larger to carry all your gear look at one like this. I have two of those and they hold up great.

u/phasenine · 1 pointr/BurningMan

Between my backpack and utility belt, I have the things below. Depending on what I am doing, my backpack may not be near me (like while on shift; backpack lives in the Gate shade or back of the QRV). MOOP always goes into my back left pocket, or I find a section of a pouch if no pockets.

Yes, this is likely overkill, and yes, mock me all you want, but I have carried a similar kit for years and almost always use everything in it at some point. And I really enjoy having stuff for others when they are in need. ESD shifts are up to 12 hours long and Gate shifts are 6 hours (but out at Gate, far from camp) and either can easily turn into 24 hours if crazy weather happens.

Utility Belt - Belt is a wide, padded MOLLE belt. It can carry a lot of weight comfortably.

everything is very pieced together. the treat bag i currently use is the center piece from this tactical belt set, it's a nice small size and the flap is very easy to open/close with one hand. i don't even know what brand my running belt is, it's just a super simple single-pouch elastic belt.

for the bigger setup, i just wear one of my normal leather belts because the running belt is so thin and stretchy. this is the zippered pouch i've been using. i have a small water bottle similar to this that clips onto my belt, found at marshalls for $5.

i bought this belt recently but haven't used it yet. this one will probably become my all-around dog walking belt though.

u/FrankieTwoFingers · 0 pointsr/CompetitionShooting

I have this belt, and it has held up fine for over a year. Any similar belt will work just fine and be comfortable for USPSA and 3 gun. I use it for both.

However, these belts would not be ideal for a handgun/carbine class. Not that it wouldn't work, but you would want more of an operator belt for that situation, like the ronin tactics, t-rex arms, crye, etc.

USPSA competitions are quite different from carbine classes. USPSA belts tend to be more bulky because you want speed, operator belts tend to be a bit slimmer when it comes to mag pouces, etc, to keep you more agile. The competition belts will work fine, but you will quickly realize you need the right tool for the right job.

u/flopsweater · 1 pointr/appleseed

Midway Pro is the standard. I have two of them.

Enough padding, good width, stakes down, rolls up without a lot of messing around.

I also have a Bob Allen mat that I caught a deal on. It works well too. Buckles instead of velcro is nice, but it's a little narrower than the Midway Pro. Lighter color helps in the sun.

u/VaporTrail_000 · 3 pointsr/airsoft

Hmm... Since this is hypothetical, does this include stuff that's currently out of stock? What about services bought online?
Anyway... Unlimited budget, full loadout, external upgrades only.
Going to build this to last basically the rest of my life.

Start off with a Rare Arms SR-25 shell ejecting GBB rifle, because of F*(%ing Awesome. Hopefully, this can be tuned up as a DMR later. Rifle will be Cerekoted in ATACS FG
Add 50 spare magazines (only going to carry about seven or eight at a time... but I want enough to go through a day without reloading shells on the field). Magazines will be Cerekoted in ATACS FG (Or I could just make do with 12)
And about 7,000 boxes of spare cartridges. Yes, that's about 105,000 shells. I'm going to be picking them back up (eventually), but I'm likely to lose a few here and there... So I'd basically get an entire production run... (Or I could make do with a less ridiculous 24 boxes and actually police my brass)
Acetech Lighter BT (Also Cerekoted in ATACS FG)

Now for an optic.
AN-ThOR 4 1.5-15x Thermal Scope with QD mount and X-Trac bluetooth remote. Still looking for a compatible killflash for it... so add a spare or two, or enough for a custom machined 76mm OD killflash.

Now here's where I really start getting out of your box... These will be self-assembled:
Uniform:
Tactical Concealment MAMBA Suit in ATACS FG
Tactical Concealment Sniper Boonie in ATACS FG
Tactical Concealment Boomslang Alpha Kit in HDAM FG
8x Tactical Concealment Stalk Grass (2 in each color)
2x Tactical Concealment 6-pack of 1 Ply jute
2x ea. Tactical Concealment Dye Combo Packs in brown and green
6x Tactical Concealment Textured Ghillie Leaves

Lowa Zephyr GTX Hi TF Boots in sage
Condor Gen 2 Battle belt in ATACS FG w/ Cobra Belt in Multicam
Templar's Gear 4pt. H-Harness in ATACS FG
4x Flyye M14 double mag pouch in ATACS FG
3x Templar's Gear Covered Pistol Mag Pouch in ATACS FG

Sidearm:
Novritsch SSX-23, w/ suppressor, Olight Valkarie, 4x CO2 mags, hard-mounted Trijicon RMR (w/ Strike Industries Jellyfish sight protector), and DTD Holster, all Cerekoted in ATACS FG

Well... I think that's the lot. Mind blown yet?

Now for the fun part... total spent.

I bought this last year: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LNKN972/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_b3y7FxggNUD6K

You could set it up on a tree if you needed to. It is easy to lift an animal and the locking pulley makes it even better.

These jigs are very effective. I've caught all types of panfish, trout, crappie and smallmouth bass using these. Get a small weighted bobber to give you more cast distance. When reeling in twitch your rod tip back and forth, you want to make the bobber rock back and forth. You can find YouTube videos to show other techniques as well.

u/cosmos7 · 2 pointsr/CAguns

Anything that essentially can't be easily ripped open or apart and is locked in some way counts under California law. A backpack or duffel bag with a small padlock though the zipper pulls will do just fine.

If you're looking for a pistol case there are lots of options. LA Police Gear sells a nice cheap pistol case for about $10. Maxpedition has some decent cases too, as well as some that are better for more discrete transportation.

u/Fbeezy · 1 pointr/Hunting

Something similar to this. Definitely made it easier for the hike out.

If anyone wants a belt like alyx studios but isn't willing to drop a leg, three fingers and a 1/4 of your soul, try this alternative https://www.amazon.com/Fairwin-Tactical-Military-Webbing-Delicate/dp/B0734HBDYP/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1
I just copped and at around $29, you can't go wrong with it
