Background: Farrah is one of the closest, if not the closest, friends I’ve ever had. She was my choir teacher in high school and much older than I am. I’ve always been rather mature for my age, so I get along better with older people. Well, we clicked and after I graduated we became super close. As you’ll soon figure out, I loved her in more ways than one.
Reason: I don’t even think I have the words to properly describe how grateful I am that she is my friend, how much love I have for her, or just how much I admire her. I think she is absolutely amazing. I could gush on for hours about how amazing I think she is. She is incredibly friendly and loving. It is a blessing to know that God saw fit to create people like her and allow me to be blessed by her presence and faith. I think she is completely insane, well, maybe not completely (that’s reserved for me) but she’s up there.
She was there for me, although not in the flesh, my first semester as a freshman in college. I had no friends and was incredibly lonely. We texted, talked, and/or messaged daily. Looking forward to talking with her is what got me through the day. She gave me new eyes to look through and a different perspective. I believe she helped me grow a lot as a person, challenging me to better myself and ask questions. She understands me better than anyone I’ve ever met. I could look at her and not say a word and she’d know what I was feeling and, if necessary, how to comfort me.
I think she’s beautiful, externally and internally beautiful. External: I love her eyes. (Then again, that is probably because I have always been an eye person.) They are so expressive and so full of love. I love the way her lips pucker when she says and describes something she thinks is ‘beautiful’. I find it adorable. I love her smile. When she smiles, it seems as if all is right with the world. I love her passion for life and her passion for living it. I love her passion for God; it is inspiring and gives me faith. I love her passion for passion; it frightens and excites me. I love how humble she is. As often as people (and I) tell her that she is amazing, she never lets it go to her head. I love her sense of humor. I love how she’s not afraid to make a joke that is ‘wrong’ by every standard. I love how she is so unafraid to speak her mind. It’s so refreshing.
Now to clear up any… issues. I was over 18 when I met her, so don’t fear of some illegal activity or whatever it is people jump to conclusions about. Secondly, although the love is shared, the romantic love is not and mine goes unrequited. We are still friends to this day although from a greater distance due to life taking us in different directions.
I'm really sorry about the length. If it's too long I can modify it.
EDIT: Add drawing and items
Have fun with the kiddos! Before I link my fun stuff, I'm going to recommend a couple practical things- like making sure there is nothing harmful within arms reach- maybe an under the sink cupboard with bleach, or other cleaning supplies- It may be good to move them before they come so you don't have to worry about it.
Now for the fun stuff!
I'm assuming they will come wiht their own, but just in case, some fun kitchen supplies will make meal time go a bit easier. Things like [sippy cups] (http://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Click-Count-Sippy-ounce/dp/B006WHR6CU/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1374775578&sr=8-8&keywords=sippy+cups), or other tableware, ( [here is a whole set!] (http://www.amazon.com/Ikea-Plastic-Flatware-Tumbler-Colorful/dp/B009PP5LGY/ref=sr_1_2?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1374775654&sr=1-2&keywords=kid+plates) including silverware, plates, bowls and cups!) . In any case, [spill proof cups] (http://www.amazon.com/The-First-Years-Spill-Colors/dp/B000096M59/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1374775578&sr=8-10&keywords=sippy+cups) would definitely be handy! Also, the older one may enjoy making yummy popsicles with you using [these] (http://www.amazon.com/Zoku-Slow-Pops-Classic-Molds/dp/B00CDL33Q2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1374775852&sr=8-2&keywords=popsicle+molds). I've seen them in dollar stores and they're super easy- freeze lemonade, or their favorite juice and it becomes dessert!
Also, check into getting some kid music to jam to. There are all kinds of free tracks on Amazon. Those will be fun for both the kiddos and make any car rides that much more enjoyable, or playing in the house. [Here] (http://www.amazon.com/12-Pack-Inflatable-Rock-Electric-Guitar/dp/B001H00156/ref=sr_1_27?ie=UTF8&qid=1374776046&sr=8-27&keywords=kid+music) is a completely unnecessary fun purchase to accompany that thought.
Another idea may include dress up. You don't have to have anything in particular- maybe an old pair of heels, a sheet for a cape, big necklaces, a wand or funny hat. That could be fun!
Bedtime stories! Do you have any children's books? Those are awesome for not only bedtime but down time. Also, coloring books, play doh, and puzzles are also good to keep them sitting down in one place for a while! ;)
You could also make puppets using markers and brown paper bags! If you have the grocery size, you can even make masks. This could also be as complicated as you want or as resources allow, using yarn for hair, googly eyes, and other materials.
The baby might be a bit trickier to entertain. How about fun bath toys? A mirror is also something that can hold attention for quite a while.
Back to the older kiddo, how about making your own instruments? I take old plastic drink containers (2 liter pop bottles, or juice jugs, or whatever) and fill them with all kinds of noise makers. Beads might be too dangerous to have around with teh little one, but pop can tabs, or pennies, or other objects that can fit, even paper clips, are lots of fun. Make sure to keep the lid so you can close it and shake it up and down! It's also fun to decorate the outsides with stickers.
Anyways, I hope you have a good time!
Edit: I thought I had read your post pretty carefully, but for some reason I was picturing the 2 year old as younger. Sorry for "baby" references. Here are some cute bath toys to make up for it! [so cute!] (http://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Lazy-Buoys-Bathtub-Toys/dp/B004LWZZ76/ref=sr_1_11?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1374777262&sr=1-11&keywords=bath+toys)
Cuttlesnark's Limited Edition "Walking on Sunshine" Lifestyle Box:

Saw your post, checked out your tea tutorial and had to comment...
Have you looked into Bevibags? You could make a rainbow cornucopia of "Kratom Capri Suns," box them up and ship them out : )
...and for the hotter climates and summer season, "Kratom Icee Pops" using these
Here's a thought on the process:
I think we may have just launched a new business model for spreading the love of your tea preparation ; )
You would still be doing the tough work of making the tea in this process. However, I'm also thinking that just as others send their kratom to someone to make extract for them, I'm also guessing there would be someone willing to send you their own kratom to outsource the tea making to you, too. With your day job, I'm not sure you'll be able to find the time for all the requests that may be following : ) ...but, for the few close to you, maybe you could try implementing this model. I have followed this process several times with family members when we ship each other stuff, so the receiver can cover shipping in order to receive the goods...it's actually quite easy! It's basically "outsourcing" specific services and splitting costs. It fits perfectly in today's burgeoning "sharing economy."
Good luck and post if you actually do this with anyone and it works well for you
On January 5th, I went on leave from work. I wanted to see if my stomach issues were being caused by work stress, so I quit cold turkey. I only had a few symptoms, like my usual nausea (unknown cause). I came back from leave on January 20th, and started keto on the 21st. All of my symptoms vanished. I was still off my meds, and I felt great. I have brighter moods, no more dark thoughts, almost no anger outbursts, more motivation, less lethergy and less daily exhaustion. I just all around feel like a different person, and I don't think I'll ever go back to the way I used to live. Will I have a drink or cupcake, maybe a slice of cake in the future? Maybe. It's okay to indulge on rare occasions. Am I unhappy? Hell no. I have never been happier.
The Norpro & Progressive molds are the same - many professional popmakers, including myself, started out with these molds before scaling up to industrial equipment. I used them for 2 summers then upgraded to a machine using Ataforma's "Megamex" molds (90ml / ~3oz) - I recently closed my business (had a kid) but you can see my pops here: http://www.instagram.com/sixstrawberries - and here's me making volume with the plastic molds in the early days: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGeLwNu_2E8
The type of stainless steel molds you've linked are for use in professional popsicle machines - Making these molds are YKchanger & protaylor out of china, and Ataforma out of Brazil. The machines to use with these molds are made by Protaylor in China, & Finamac or Fort-Frio out of Brazil. In our idea-sharing forum on FB (link for professionals to join in sidebar - and new forum coming soon on our own URL!) you'll find tons of discussion regarding the merits of different companies/machines/molds. I have my own opinions, but as moderator I try to stay fairly neutral, and voice that each manufacturer (china/brazil) has tons of customers using their products for professional use. In the end your choice of ingredients and your recipes will be more important than your tools! ;)
You can use the stainless molds in your home freezer - you can also find good stainless molds that are for home use: https://www.amazon.ca/Onyx-Stainless-Steel-Popsicle-Mold/dp/B003R4AHTK/ - but since you wouldn't be flash freezing anyhow the professional SS molds might be overkill...unless you'd like the volume and are okay with the pricetag.
I'm writing a novel here, so I'll wrap it up haha - let me know if you have followup questions, and best of luck with your popmaking! Welcome to the sub :)
You can offer milk in a cup! Or bits of cubed cheese.
Try different textures.
Mine hates anything pureed but loves smoothies (go figure....) And really loves crunchy things. So freeze dried fruits and veggies. He loves freeze dried peas and edamame. Hates them in any other form.
Loves rice sprinkled with hemp seeds. Loves popsicles (I use this: Nuby Garden Fresh Fruitsicle Frozen Pop Tray https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KFP6NHO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_GAX0CbT3C6M9P) I sneak in hemp protein powder, spinach and chia seeds and flax seeds into them and he has no idea.
A popular recipe for us is frozen berries, milk, dash of vanilla (alcohol free!) small scoop of the hemp protein powder, small handful spinach, ground up flax/chia and half a frozen banana. I pour it into a straw cup or open cup for him to drink with some Cheerios and then pour the remaining into the molds.
When he asks to nurse, offer him munchies instead. If he still wants to nurse after, that's okay too.
Does your baby like fruits? Mine loves all fruits so I usually sprinkle hemp seeds on top of them too. Adds protein and iron.
Aw! I would choose the "beach" and the "boogers" picture. Such a cute dog!
This is my Darlene. She is a spoiled basset hound, as you may be able to tell from the hoodie. This picture is her waiting to go get her rabies shot last year. Can you tell she is thrilled?
This is her in pajamas. No, she does not always wear clothes, but I always seem to be snapping pictures when she is.
And this is her in a life jacket which she had to wear during swim therapy after breaking her pelvis last year. She and I have been through a lot together while allowing her injury to heal and she is totally my precious angel baby!
She would love this $5 Chillin' Bones ice tray. It is on her wish list section of my own WL. She would love anything off of that list, to be honest. Thanks for thinking of other dogs during this difficult time you are having!
Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole. I work for an emergency rescue kennel so I firmly believe in this statement.

Instructions
NotesThe time includes passive time in the freezer and cooling the strawberries. This is, of course, the minimum amount. If you leave in the freezer overnight it will obviously be longer.
That mini cupcake maker is such a cute present for a 9 year old!
I dunno if you're interested in keeping to a food theme, but I recently got a set of popsicle molds and I love love love them. You can make popsicles with just juice like OJ, or you can use yogurt and fruit, you could even make homemade fudgesicles. I got this set for $10 but this star set for $11 from the same brand might be more fun for a kid!
They have large pouches which are chunkier in texture, I usually find them on the same aisle as the applesauce. You can also subscribe & save with amazon! Be careful and check labels because some of them have dyes and artificial sweeteners, if you are wanting to avoid that.
If you have a thermos type container you can make a smoothie and toss a spoon in there and let him eat it like that. You could put in his cherrios and show him how to top the smoothie with cherrios and he might like the combo. Or you can just give him a straw and let him drink it.
Zipsicle bags are good! I make a big smoothie batch and keep them in the fridge and put one in my daughter's lunch almost every day. They are pretty long and hold a good bit.
These silicone ones are good too. I have some of these and they are awesome for smoothies and yogurt.
This is something I think about a lot when packing lunches for my daughter. She can't have anything that needs to be heated, either. Here are my tips. First, get some of these: http://www.amazon.com/Ziploc-Container-Divided-Rectangle-2-Count/dp/B003U6DJ90/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345207791&sr=8-1&keywords=ziploc+divided+container They are divided and waterproof between the compartments. There are other divided containers, and some things called Bento Boxes, but these will not leak. So if you have strawberries in one of the spots, the juice won't leak onto your pretzels (for example).
I make her a trail mix, but it's a peanut-free school, so I usually use some of these things, depending on sales: almonds, raisins, M&Ms, craisins, yogurt-covered raisins, cereal. That goes into the smallest compartment.
The next-sized compartment usually has a muffin of some kind. Here are some of my favorites:
I rarely pack sandwiches, but she loves Greek yogurt, so I bought some of these http://www.amazon.com/Norpro-431-4-Piece-Silicone-Maker/dp/B0036B9KHO/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1345208411&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=norpro I either make a smoothie and freeze them in these or just put straight yogurt in them. They are usually thawed enough to eat by lunch time.
>One of the few foods that my 3 year old will regularly eat is gogurt. The problem with that is that it isn't exactly healthy given that it's loaded high fructose corn syrup and has no live cultures.
I'm confused. Yoplait GoGurt has no corn syrup (let alone HFCS) and does actually contain live and active cultures.
It has preservatives, thickeners, "natural flavors", probably a teaspoon of added sugar (accounting for the naturally occurring milk sugars) and is produced with genetic engineering but has none of the problems you list.
>Does anyone know any good replacements? Keep in mind that he somehow believes that all yogurt needs to come from a tube...
Since you want to ditch the GoGurt buy some whole or lowfat plain yogurt and add fruit pureé. Sweeten with confectioner's a.k.a. powdered sugar. Load into silicone tubes and serve to kid.
Now, there are a few considerations to be had. Your kid is used to what he's used to, in my experience just switching out something never works so I would ease into the change slowly.
If it were me I'd buy some red top (lowfat) blended Yoplait in flavors similar to what kid is used to and serve in a tube for a week (making sure kid has no idea). The second week I'd ask kid to "help" make the yogurt tubes and switch to the plain yogurt and pureé. Over the next few weeks I'd cut the sugar gradually until it's eliminated.
While we were "making" our tubes of yogurt I would hand over a spoon and encourage sampling and overtime I'd introduce a tiny bowl of yogurt at the end of making the tubes.
Two problems, one stone.
Also, I wouldn't go in starting with Greek (strained) yogurt or loads of add-ins. That's just too much, too soon and as a person that will not eat yogurt that hasn't been strained (unless it's frozen) I wouldn't do that to someone else not all yogurt is equal.
Good luck!
Note:
We use [these] (https://www.amazon.com/Norpro-431-4-Piece-Silicone-Maker/dp/B0036B9KHO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493827487&sr=8-1&keywords=Norpro+silicone+pop) in the freezer. Not sure how they'd do refrigerated but in my opinion they're easer to clean than pouches.
Edited for formating. And again for formating. Grr. (Okay, I fucking give up, apologies for the wall of text.)

I love my spiralizer. I also really like having my own Popsicle molds so I can make healthy/low cal frozen treats. I also drink black coffee and I've found that a french press and a hand-turn burr grinder (all the decent electric ones are hundreds of dollars and I'm too busy buying Halo Top to drop that kind of dough to save myself less than a minute each morning) make the best black coffee, plus they don't take up room on the counter top. You do have to grind your own beans with a french press and you have to use a burr grinder to get a course, consistent grind, which one of those electric things with a spinning blade can't provide.
Having a mandolin can be nice for thinly and evenly slicing veggies for baked chips and the like (mine is Oxo) but I would recommend buying one of those cut resistant glove things to use with it as the hand held thing that comes with the mandolin to slide food across is annoying as all hell, but I think that's a universal when it comes to mandolins.
I also love my food scale (again, Oxo). I have the one that weighs heavier weights at home and the little baby 5 lb limit one at work which is great because then I can measure out a serving of crackers, dip, whatever out of a larger container at work and I don't have to pre-measure everything at home and use a bunch of containers and then have to haul it all to and from work.
I recently bought these. I like them a lot.
Pros:
Cons:
These are the only ones I've tried so far, but I really really like them :)
Do this instead. Buy the following:
In a pitcher, fill the lower 8th with booze. Fill the rest with juice. Pour into the Zipzicles and freeze in the back of your freezer for 2 days. Serve in a small cooler full of Ice.
Keep in mind: If you make these too strong, they will not freeze. This are fun and oddly strong. You end up with a shot or so per freeze pop. ENJOY!
I would totally guess you have some teeth on the way. Our son got teeth just shy of 5 months, and it was a long lead-up. My best friend during this time was a breastmilk Popsicle maker.
You can hold it for him or chop off little chunks to put in his mouth. He may love it!
This is my favorite...super sturdy and easy to use.

I made them for my daughter and she loved them. We started at about 4 months. She doesn't have teeth yet but I feel like she has been teething for months. I ordered these from Amazon and they worked great.
Because sometimes you gotta treat yourself.
But you can also treat yourself healthfully, and make some fun, fruity popsicles with this.
(Incidentally, I have both the thermometers on your list--candy and digital--and they're excellent. That digital thermometer is the bomb!)
You all need to start learning to cook and cook better as a family. Teach your kids to cook.
Beans are actually very nutritious and very versatile. I often have cannellini beans in a tray bake with chicken and some spices and lemon juice.
If kids aren't snacking, they'll be less picky at meals. But get healthier (less sweet) snacks in, for example cheese cubes, cut up apples, roasted chickpeas, carrot sticks and hummous.
I think carrots get underrated and overlooked. Most kids like them as they're sweetish. You can eat them raw or cooked. You can roast them or boil them, you can grate them to make a kind of low-carb, more nutritious "rice" or spiralise them to make cool orange noodles. Carrots also last for ages in the fridge, and if they do get a bit wrinkly, just roast them or make them into soup.
Omelettes are also very nutritious and versatile, and easy to make. I taught my kid from about the age of four or five - she still needs supervision with the hot pan, but she can crack and beat the eggs, add salt and pepper, and she's learning the cooking part.
As a treat suggestion, which is very low cost, get something like these and try freezing fruit juice or even flavoured milk. It's also something kids can do. You can also put whole piece of fruit down them like this.
I use this mold. I have two which is big enough for any recipe I've used. I use snack size baggies for storage. Also I really like most of the recipes from Endless Poptails. These Raspberry Lemonade are by far the best with these Strawberry Peach being my second favorite.
I wouldn't say a newbie NEEDS it...
But I have been having a lot of fun with my zoku popsicle maker. I make up some variations of Caveman Keto popsicle recipe. This is my go to dessert which has helped me calm the sweet cravings. It's a fun gadget but not a necessary one.
Edit: I wanted to say I bought the single Zoku pop maker. It was an easier price to swallow. I can get two popsicles out of it before I need to refreeze.
Re: ice cream scoop size, right?! I moved to the NE from the west, and I am still shocked by the scoop size. Not complainin', just confused as to how they turn a profit. I bought this popsicle mold and I am very happy with it. Try strawberries and cream next!
I buy popsicle bags like these on Amazon and fill them with whatever! They even have half-size ones for little kids. I haven't had much luck with the reusable kind though - they always start to taste weird. 1/3 strength Gatorade popsicles sound really good right now.
I just bought some molds on Amazon. I think these are the ones (although there are plenty to pick from):
Nuby Garden Fresh Fruitsicle Frozen Pop Tray
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KFP6NHO/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_dSEmub0BBK4A
At 18 months he still loves them! I usually just shove the leftovers of whatever fruit he didn't finish at dinner into the mold, add a touch of water, and freeze.
Could you make your own? Buy something like this, fill with your favorite marinara from a jar or homemade : https://www.amazon.com/Disposable-Popsicle-Freezer-Healthy-Smoothies/dp/B01MDUDWHH/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1542158446&sr=8-3&keywords=Popsicle+tube+bags&dpID=41lZsBh7QqL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
For the carrot, it has to be a big one, not one of those little ones you can pop into your mouth.
I plan to use something like this for the frozen breastmilk pops https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B00KFP6NHO/ref=aw_br_ov_dp_2_3?colid=J000J9HACES1&coliid=I18AYZUSLI4HVP&vs=1

Any over ripe melon will blend well. Store in fridge. Cut with cold seltzer to make a refreshing drink. The juice is also great for popsicles! https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00WJZVPEE?pc_redir=T1#

You can make these yourself for about 35 calories each. Just buy frozen fruit juice drinks and freeze them in one of these. Lemonade is my favorite.
What I have taken to doing to solve dry mouth and give myself a healthy snack is freezing orange juice in Popsicle molds. I have 4 different kinds of molds, including rocket ships.
Ah, I love making home made popsicles.
Your molds are boring, though. Two words: rocket pops.
So I was looking through the rest of the things the retailer had, some really cool stuff, including http://www.amazon.com/Tovolo-Green-Groovy-Ice-Molds/dp/B00395HIOO/ref=sr_1_54?m=AEUC6GAA8XY7Y&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1381882647&sr=1-54
Have you looked at making your own freeze pops using reusable molds and lemonade? For example something like this? There is also this option if you don't want plastic, but those are less convenient for grab and go.
/u/Pipstuh made them, and talks about them in this thread.
These Popsicle molds are recommended by /r/icepops
I started making breast milk popsicles when daughter was around 3-4 months. I'd put her in her bumbo seat with a towel under it and use a silicone bib. A little messy when she would wave it around, but not so bad that I stopped doing it. It was a big hit! I think the cold felt good on her gums because she was teething at that point too.
These are the trays I got: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KFP6NHO/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1.
