15. Outlaw Racing Stainless Steel Motorcycle Exhaust Pipe Muffler Springs Swivel Pair 90mm – Durable Stainless-Steel Construction – Full Support for Your Exhaust System
- ✅ RELIABLE SET OF SPRINGS FOR YOUR EXHAUST PIPE- Outlaw Racing springs have a swivel hook design that eliminates binding, extending spring life. The spring retainer hooks are beefy and don't deflect or warp if you're looking for a tight fit. These springs will help prevent cracking of the exhaust pipe due to vibrations while riding over rough surfaces.
- ✅ STRONG CONSTRUCTION MADE TO LAST- The exhaust springs are made of stainless steel and give superior strength and appearance. The springs are heavy and well designed to keep your pipe in place, and they won't break loose from vibrations. The springs will keep the joints under tension, so they can't come apart until the springs have been removed.
- ✅ FITS AND SUPPORTS YOUR EXHAUST PIPE- The spring set by Outlaw Racing will snug the pipe against the cylinder. No more two-stroke drip out the front and no more broken springs. The springs pull the exhaust tight to the header pipes and help to prevent a crack in the header pipe and their connection to the engine, supporting your exhaust pipe.
- ✅ MAINTAIN YOUR EXHAUST SYSTEM LONGER- With these springs your exhaust system will last longer because the pipes will be able to adjust themselves as the system goes through its heat cycles. The springs hold the muffler into the end of the exhaust pipe tight enough to prevent leakage, but not too tight, to avoid cracking the exhaust pipe due to vibrations while riding over rough surfaces.
- ✅ YOUR SATISFACTION IS OUR #1 PRIORITY- We take pride in manufacturing motorcycle parts that save you time and money while not compromising on quality. Your safety and performance are what matters most. If you have any questions or concerns about your product, please reach out to us and we would be happy to assist you.

Hey y'all! Some of you asked about mods so here is a full list of what I have done so far with links.
Radiator guard - Has a nice little FZ-07 etched at the bottom.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MCXCM7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Shorty levers - Mine are gray but they come in lots of colors.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0197N3KA2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Bar end mirrors - You can find these for less but I chose these because the reviews indicated that they might be better quality than others.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q3UL6S6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Yoshimura fender eliminator - Kinda pricey for what it is but it looks really nice.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T6J9IM2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Motodynamic integrated tail light - I also looked at the TST but after looking at some videos decided on this one.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015NN3YUG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Proton 500 flush mount LED - These things are brighter than the sun. You can also change the signal pattern which I thought was cool.
http://www.hightechspeed.com/products/Proton500/yamaha.html
Flasher relay - Prevents hyper flash and let me get rid of resistors.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RM26LXO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Stompgrip volcano black - I really like these and they have great grip. You can also get them in clear from their website if that's your thing.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018NH74BE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Akrapovic TI - This exhaust sounds sweet, I also purchased the CAT for it through cyclegear.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L44J56G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Other mods that i'm considering in the future
Stainless Steel braided brake lines, FTECU on the bike flash kit, T-Rex Racing no cut combo.

Thanks for all the info. The off the shelf exhaust I have been looking at have been in the $400-500 range. Something like this
http://www.amazon.com/04-09-YAMAHA-XVS11A-Cobra-Exhaust/dp/B000I5AISQ/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1406424226&sr=8-10&keywords=cobra+exhaust+vstar+1100
or

I do appreciate the advice of the custom pipes, but I'm really not sure anywhere around here will do that. I live in Oxford MS (currently visiting in Florida) and there just doesn't seem anyone like that around here. I'll definitely take into account all the other stuff you said as well. Switching out the head light and taking off the fork covers sounds good too. Thanks again for your help.
edit: by the way, I really do like the idea of the custom exhaust from a shop. I will be calling around when I get back into town, I'm just not optimistic. I'll let you know how I fair.
Free flowing ? I dont exactly know what that means. I’ll look it up but thanks for your info I really appreciate it.
Lets say I get this or something
https://www.amazon.com/JFG-RACING-Davidson-Sportster-1986-2013/dp/B07DZC5563
Would it be good to put this on too

DO NOT buy Feedom, they're quality is absolute trash and their customer support is even worse.

Won't be long till my set rusts out on the bottom.
https://www.indianmotorcycles.net/threads/whoevers-welding-for-freedom-performance.297176/

Due to time constraints I couldn't return them and get something else in time.

I'd look at Rush performance instead.

But, on topic.

I unfortunately never got a video from behind.

Idle is quite loud, it def rumbles the neighbors windows a bit but it DOES bark REALLY nice when riding around, ESPECIALLY when you crack on it. If it's bark you want, you'll get it and more.

If you absolutely want the Freedom's. Do this:

Revzilla will price match.

Add to cart and at the bottom there's a link for price matching. Use this one: https://www.amazon.com/Freedom-IN00034-Exhaust-Headers-Chrome/dp/B00T6J0150

Almost a 100 bucks off from the normal 530-540 ish plus you get free shipping through Revzilla. It's how I got mine.
M4 slip on here too. I bought it and installed it two days after buying the 2017. Best money I've spent on it so far. $380 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K36BUGO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Akrapovic is a great option too! They sound just as good. FYI you'll need a grinding wheel or saws-all to cut the old pipe, and thermal paste (or whatever it's called) to seal up the new one

Mine arrives tomorrow, buddy of mine got one for his MT09 and sounds AMAZING, for the price it has amazing reviews.. I was going for akra also but I had to go with this one for the fact its literally only $260 and i've heard it in person... the only thing is it doesn't come with instructions but there are youtube videos (US AMAZON shows like +30 4 and 5 star reviews, nothing less)
I've had great luck with Glixal parts...from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Glixal-ATKS-038-Performance-Exhaust-Muffler/dp/B01DQYFZVU/ref=lp_12087729011_1_4?srs=12087729011&ie=UTF8&qid=1483575762&sr=8-4
I don't have this...I just have bought a lot of their products, and have been impressed, for the price.
It's your intake tube/intake pipe.
They crack over time, so yeah, he totally tried to seal it with silicon.
They're cheap.
Here's one on Amazon that looks like it will work
This one is cheaper - might work too.
It's pretty easy to put on. Those two bolts, one clamp, make sure the o-ring is in place. It might be hard to cram your carb spigot into the new one the first time.
Your new one will wear out in a few years too...
Gorgeous looking bike, have fun!
I went with Competition Werkes exhaust with the baffle and their tidy tail kit. Fairly cheap, I think $650 shipped from them. I did see the tidy tail separately on Amazon and Revzilla for about $20 cheaper the other day
https://www.instagram.com/p/BPQSXb2j4V-/
I've read all over that tuning for the exhaust on the 13+ years is a pain, but isn't neccessarily required. I havnt noticed any difference in power, but it does pop on decel a ton. Some people complain about hesitation off the line, but I havnt had any issues
The M4 GSXR 750 exhaust will bolt right up and looks and sound pretty damn good for $260
https://www.instagram.com/p/BOvLXpTjo-S/
11-16 SUZUKI GSXR600 & 750: M4 GP Series Slip-On Exhaust - Black (BLACK) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007C68PNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_5fIJybTM02DJ6
https://www.instagram.com/p/BPQOJNYDhpw/
I reused the old turn signals so I wouldn't have to cut the wires. They included smaller ones with splice connectors
I didn't want to go too crazy and drill a bigger hole so I used their plate light and had to splice 2 wires
The fit and finish of the kit is great for the price. A little gap here or there, but it feels solid and everything works
I also got a Supersprox stealth 45T for $100 on Amazon
+2 over stock and makes a bit of difference. Will fit on a broken-in stock chain too.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BPP_VqHjYk6/
Supersprox Stealth Gold 530 45 Tooth Rear Sprocket for Triumph 955 1050 Speed Triple Daytona Sprint https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HF7XXB4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_c7HJyb5C9XEJW
My next mod will be a steel braided line for the rear. I noticed that when I took off the chain guard, my chain had touched the brake line and scuffed it a bit. I had to adjust the banjo bolt to avoid it touching again. I'll be replacing that ASAP
Amazon exhaust for $88 is hard to beat.
Motorcycle complete exhaust with tip and baffle Fit for Honda Grom Msx125 2013-2019 (Full black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BHMFXMD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_QqduDb9N7QQEA
It sounds pretty good. Much more aggressive than stock. Sounds like a 250cc dirtbike. But still quiet on idle.
I'd recommend playing with different combinations of the baffle insert to get your preferred sound.
Thanks for the info and suggestions! Im deffinitely not looking to up the power just yet as this is my first bike and im sure i can grow into it for quite some time before im looking to up the power.
That being said a fuel tuner seems like a great idea simply for the longevity of the bike and also upgrading exhaust and intake in the future.
Do you suggest any efi optmizers specifically? A quick search has me thinking the EHS one may be the way to go but the HMF one is another option, but seems 'cheaper'. Any thougts?

HMF EFI Optimizer Controller | Yamaha Grizzly 700 2018 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BYS2Z7P/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ibsYBb4W7AHZ7
It's the Adonly Racing one. I saw it on Fooligan's channel and really liked it. Plus, it's really relatively cheap! I've been riding all day today after I got her put on and have re-fallen in love with my gromalom.
Edit: Here is a link for you!
Oh, that actually looks normal for some types of springs. Here is an example that looks like that brand new. I think they do this to make them easier to put on.
https://www.amazon.com/Outlaw-Racing-PP17490-Stainless-Motorcycle/dp/B0085AKWPA/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=exhaust+spring&qid=1550268353&s=gateway&sr=8-5
Can you try reversing it to see if it looks/feels better and more sturdy? Sometimes the less angled hook on the spring is meant to go on one part vs the other.
I too highly recommend the Two Bros black series. I found mine (titanium version) on Amazon for less than $450. Considerably cheaper than the Arrow slip on, and IMO more aggressive sounding. It is quite a bit louder than stock, and you can get an inexpensive sound suppresor if it is too loud for you. I didn't use any ECU tuning myself, but I did get it remapped at the dealer and have been more than happy with the results.
Link for the tool https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QQ39N9B?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Link for the lock nut https://www.jetskiplus.com/seadoo-billet-reverse-cable-lock-nut-w-seal-gtx-rxp-rxt-gti-gts-xp-277001729 I didnt buy that exact one but something just like it may wanna shop around and get a better price I happen to get two (one for the reverse cable and one for the steering)
There are some dryer vents that come with a pest guard. Install one of those and make sure to clean it every few months. You can even find just a guard that will fit over some vents.
According to this: https://www.amazon.com/Jardine-16-4522-723-02-Stainless-Exhaust-System/dp/B00657304U?ie=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0
It has a 'Unique under-grame design - superior center of gravity', which is always good to see.
Buy it and write the first review. This is experimental vehicular transport, as recreation.
Best bang for your buck - https://www.amazon.com/Motorcycle-complete-exhaust-baffle-2013-2018/dp/B07BHMFXMD
This one is pretty quiet with the baffle
I run the zeda 88/ cdh 66 pipe and its quite good. Added enough torque that I can pull wheelies now. Needs a muffler to be at a reasonable volume though. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N3ONOY9/ That's the muffler I used. Doesnt reduce performance much, and makes it very very quiet.
I used this muffler from Amazon on my motorized bike and it works great. On your pipe you will need to use a small piece of heater hose and some hose clamps to attach it as your pipe and the muffler have the exact same size entry/exit points. I know this because I have that exact expansion chamber lying around.

Also you can cut it down to whatever length you need, in my case I cut it in half and it still works beautifully to keep the racket down.
Personally, I don't like the look at all. It's also not as throaty sounding as I like. I'd put out the extra $54 and get what I have.

Was looking at something like this which should do the trick although I have read elsewhere these can cause issues with lint build up and should be avoided but I figure cleaning this thing however often necessary beats the alternative...
