Nikkei here. The mochi ice cream was invented based off the daifuku and gyūhi popular in Nikkei wagashi shops. If you're near a city with a Japantown, see if there are traditional sweet shops, or you could order some generic mass-produced ones online: https://www.amazon.com/Japanese-Fruits-Daifuku-Rice-strawberry/dp/B000TRHKGG or https://www.amazon.com/Royal-Family-Japanese-Mochi-Daifuku/dp/B003SPM64C

I found basically these (https://www.amazon.com/Sekero-rice-cake-Korean-Ovaletts/dp/B001AD8C2O ) rice cakes/medallions at an Asian grocery store the other day. My boyfriend and I think they would make amazing scallops with the right marinade. The texture is what we remember to be similar!

Quaker mini rice cakes are my salvation. They’ve saved me from a LOT of OH MY GOD GIVE ME DORITOS NOW moments, and they come in a ton of flavours. 18 of the cheddar ones are 140 calories, and you can get them on amazon if your grocery store doesn’t carry them:

I like popcorn as well, but it’s not as fast as these are, if you’re teetering on the edge of making a bad decision. Not that any of us here ever would. :)

Are you talking about these mochi blocks? Like hard as a rock until cooked? If so Nijiya or Mitsuwa has them. I personally like to put them in a waffle iron to make mochi waffles and they are indeed crispy and chewy.

SO I've been doing my janky diet version of a cinnamon-something. I'll put cinnamon on a Magic Pop. It's been getting me through my sweet cravings big time.

These are my fave.

Bran flakes sound so good! I'll definitely try them. I never grew up eating cereal and kind of forget it exists. You're a genius.

I've been eating a lot of rice cake rolls from Aldi. For some reason, rice cakes and red meat are the only things that sound good at all. Very weird. I've had a diet of steak, gravy, and rice, rice cakes, tea, and nori for a few days now. It's super odd that those are the only things that don't make my stomach turn.

Apparently, my mom had terrible morning sickness her whole pregnancy (up to vomiting on the morning she went into labor, and having the whites of her eyes red for months because the vessels burst from being sick).

Sounds like I'm joining her club.

On the upside, if the blood vessel thing happens, a demon Halloween costume would be a breeze.

My roommate made buffalo chicken dip last night with these flaxseed crackers she found on sale that were 1g net carb per serving and weren't that bad with dip. Though at some point we gave up on and just ate it straight after a while.

I bought this case of Austin's Cookies and Crackers for like $7 bucks. 2nd place goes to a $5 ribeye and $6 NY Strip.

Not ice cream, Mochi daifuku!
They make a green tea flavor as well. I prefer the red bean, but if you've never had it before, the texture can be really off-putting.

My roommate is a Lakers fan... bet him $20 we'd win this one.

I'm gonna order him one of these bad boys with it.

I found 1, 2, 3 and 4 on co.uk. No Red Bean currently unfortunately!

1, 2, 3 and 4 on .com. Bunch of more expensive seeming ones there too, but I only had a quick gander
