Chapstick and saline nose spray if you’re like me a prone to nosebleeds. The air in hospitals is always so dry. And peppermint essential oil because anesthesia generally makes me nauseous and I like to pretend it helps a little lol.

Also, for my (repeat) c section this time I bought an abdominal binder to wear afterwards to help feel less like my guts were going to fall out. This one was super inexpensive on amazon and was recommended to me by my mom who had a hernia repair/tummy tuck earlier this year.

Not specifically a girdle, but shapewear... this Squeem one is heavy duty and good if you're wearing a fabric it won't show through.

Other than that, I use Flexees for all my shapewear needs. I've had girdles, corsets, torsettes, tank tops, panties... everything is golden.

Happy Birthday! I want this because I will look hot in it and I could use it for Halloween. ;)

Thank you for the contest.

I always had good luck with one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Maidenform-Flexees-Womens-Shapewear-Long-Length/dp/B001VEHZQ6

It's snug enough to hide my shape yet comfortable that I could wear it while working.

My instincts say shapewear of some kind but the price points vary drastically and none of them are made for someone with 28/30 FF/G in mind (of course why would life be easy). Some might fit/work anyway but it would be a gamble.

Hopefully someone else has better suggestions.

Oh, I had a quarter life crisis about this at the beginning of the year (when I turned 25). I had an event that I needed a nice dress for (but that I also wanted to be able to wear out later), and I could not find anything ANYWHERE. I went to places like Forever 21 and H&M, but I felt like a grandma squeezing into candy-pop clothes. Then I went to Anthro and Nordstrom and felt like a dowdy old woman. FINALLY I found Bettie Page, my new boo. I ended up buying three outfits, but here's the only one I have a picture of.

I’m the same height/weight as you and I have this one. It’s great for tummy control and smoothing. The only thing is it doesn’t really help with adding cleavage (something I also needed) so I had to get cup inserts for that.

Hi! I found this while searching for something for a rehearsal dress that shows my hip dips. I haven’t ordered it yet though, so I can’t give a review. There are plenty of reviews online though! Good luck!

I wear a shaping skirt slip like this. With my shape (which sounds like yours), shorts are absolutely no help with keeping the dresses from clinging to My backside. Plus they can smooth out your thighs a bit & if you get the high waist version, your muffin top too!

I bought a shaper like this last year, because I knew if I just got one for my abdomen, it would be rolling up in a tube before you could say Bob's your uncle. The crotch "pee port" works great.

u/ohrejoyce · 1 pointr/weddingplanning

I haven't received it yet, but I ordered this to wear with my low back dress. Good luck!

I usually wear panties like these under dresses and skirts:

http://www.amazon.com/Heavenly-Shapewear-Womens-Padded-Medium/dp/B007W0XR06/ref=sr_1_171?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1463628131&sr=1-171&nodeID=1294869011

That way my pump stays in place tucked in my panties and added bonus my figure looks extra slim! :)

Edit: I wear it hooked to my bra when I am wearing a loose shirt, any tight shirts and you can totally see the outline and I don't really like that... I got little boobies. :P

This is the girdle I went with, surprisingly comfy in the legs.

Just buy one of those waist trainers off Amazon. Theres lots to choose from. I got a small size. Tightest I could find lol.

The next step is corsets obviously. But I'm not that hardcore yet lol

I'm a short girl. After abdominal surgery, I alternated between the hospital one and this one - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HO5ZBNY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It's not very breathable, but it's very supportive. I had open MALS surgery, so I had difficulty sitting up for a few weeks and this gave me the help I needed. When my ribs are really irritated, it can help with that, too. The one that the hospital gave me was more breathable, but it also came up higher.

It's gonna look awkward unless the shirt is tight enough that it doesn't mess with the lines of the dress. You could get a fine mesh top, or a leotard with sleeves and either would probably work under this. To do this, you should probably just rock it as something purposeful, not try to hide it in any way.

I'd say go with a leotard like these:
