I lived on these Preggie Pops during the last two of my pregnancies! They come in a mixed pack, but the ones that worked best for me were the spearmint, ginger and lavender, they are awesome for nausea. I ended up passing off the citrus to my husband and older kids, they didn't taste bad but did nothing for the nausea, either...ymmv on flavors, I know the citrus work better for some. I like that they are natural :)

Is it safe to assume that your brother is in the military deployed in Okinawa? If so, american candy is readily available on the stores in the base so if you'd like to save room you could possibly leave a little out.

I would recommend sending some ethnic snacks and trinkets which he probably won't see much of in Japan such as Pulparindo or Chili covered lollipops . If he favors more of a standard fair, you could possibly get him some Salt Water Taffy.

If your brother is a beer person you could also maybe get him some souvenir glasses / coasters / or growlers from a local brewery.

As others have suggested, most definitely visit a sugar shack! (Maple syrup “farm” lol) if not for the maple syrup, for the maple taffy! In Quebec it’s called “la tire” they pull the maple syrup over snow and give you a fresh maple lollipop while you visit the farm and take a hay ride. It’s a wonderful adventure!

I'd prefer no favors, but we'll be outside in July, so I might do hand fans and call it good. I'm also considering making the programs into fans, but I'd prefer to do just a sign with all the info on it. If you're not telling anyone you could always have the servers bring you sparkling apple cider, generally it's also fun for the kids/non alcohol drinkers in your reception.

As for the morning sickness it's different with each woman, saltine crackers help and they have these new lolly pops and hard candies out that are supposed to also be awesome.

If you mean for distribution, I usually do a mix of vegan candy and non-candy - spider rings, glow sticks, temporary tattoos, etc.
