🎓 Reddit experts on vitamin b8 supplements
The comments and opinions expressed on this page are written exclusively by redditors. To provide you with the most relevant data, we sourced opinions from the most knowledgeable Reddit users based the total number of upvotes and downvotes received across comments on subreddits where vitamin b8 supplements are discussed. For your reference and for the sake of transparency, here are the specialists whose opinions mattered the most in our ranking.
Ideas about your current stack:
Maybe drop the oxiracetam for a while, I've read a few anecdotes on the racetams (and also bacopa, interestingly enough) about them "dulling" your emotions, while not always a bad thing, it can be to a degree in some people.
Consider going half alpha-gpc and half cdp-choline (300mg alpha-gpc, 250mg cdp-choline) here or here, some people notice more benefit with CDP-choline for mood
Switch out your multivitamin, ashwagandha, b-complex, zinc, next time in favour of Legion Triumph. It's got a few adaptogens in it (lavender, rhodiola, garlic might be one too, a small amount of acetylcysteine)
Drop the caffeine for a while and just try the theanine on it's own. A lot of people don't realize that caffeine can have a negative impact on your mood when used regularly, and not intermittently (a few times a week)
10,000IU of Vitamin D long term might be excessive, try tapering down to 5000IU (and Triumph also has 2000IU in it right now, so maybe even just 1000-3000IU or from an independent supplement)
Definitely drop the yohimbe/yohimbine. Maca can be good, tribulus I've read reports of it negatively effecting mood in people as well (agitation/irritability).
For the zinc/magnesium, they're both good, but if you're already getting enough zinc in your multi, you might be overdoing it. Magnesium is fine in large doses (as long as you don't get diarrhea! Then split up your doses more).
-------------
Obviously the light box will help. I'd also advise some quick HIIT in the morning time (4 sets of 10-20 squats as fast as possible, depending on your level of activity, with minimal rests in between) to get you up and about for the day. You can even do squats, push ups, glute bridges, and burpees, or something (one or two sets of each). This will take the absolute piss out of you for 5-10 minutes after, but that's a perfect opportunity to stand in the shower and pant like a dying dog.
---------
Improve your sleep too! It's not just about getting up and doing crap, make sure you're sleeping at least 7 hours a day, or try for the next two weeks getting at least one hour more of sleep every single day, and see how that makes you feel. Get flux/twilight all that crap, turn off all the brightness on your laptops/phones after it gets dark outside, turn off the lights in your room 1-2 hours before bed, all that jazz.
If you're drinking heavily (14+ standard drinks a week in men, or 9+ in women) or even drinking to help you get to sleep some nights, definitely stop doing that. Even if it isn't to improve your sleep, it's got a shit load of negative health effects. Same thing goes with smoking, but it can be hard to quit/reduce both of these things. Try to avoid smoking/drinking less than 3 hours before bed, at least. Also avoid doing the same 3 hours after waking up.
Definitely avoid caffeine within 8 hours of bed time. Honestly I think cutting this out for a couple of weeks might help a decent amount (cutting out yohimbine more)
-------
Next comes potential supplements:
Taurine, 1-3g/day (I prefer to take 1g pre-workout and 1g at night before bed) here or here (or much much much cheaper in bulk from powder city)
Inositol 0.5-2g/day (some people notice it actually reduces the drive to do things in higher doses. here or here <--- you can also just eat more citrus fruits instead (oranges or cantaloupes are good sources), some grains are also good sources. <--- consider taking the same time as taurine
Acetylcysteine (0.6-2.4g/day), I take 0.6g in the morning and 0.6 around dinner time, I've noticed it's help a shit ton with my cravings for cigarettes too. It's a decent mood stabilizer in general, and glutamate excitoxicity = bad news bears for a lot of things. here or here. Also much cheaper in bulk, but whereas taurine/inositol have a pleasant taste, acetylcysteine smells and tastes a little bit like rotting eggs (sulfur smell, although it's funny taurine doesn't have that)...
Melatonin, 300mcg at night here or here (try this even if you feel like you sleep fine, seriously)
You could also consider switching out your oxiracetam for some ALCAR/Carnitine (at 0.5-2g/day, avoiding it later in the evening) and Carnitine also might have some mild mood boosting effects in addition to it's cognitive benefits, and exercise benefits.
-----------
Oh if you'd like, you can use my coupon code from iherb for some $5 off your first order, it's JIT328... but a decent amount of this crap is actually cheaper on amazon if you buy it from there (or in bulk from other places like powdercity), so just do whatever is cheapest for you.
Fellow vegan here (yay!), I have a lot of sympathy for you in this situation because my OCD gave me obsessive thoughts that I was going to harm animals too. I think it's a theme in OCD that's going to become commoner as more and more of us try out being veggie, though right now it's not very much recognized.
This is most likely just a regular episode of Harm OCD. If you're having feelings of anger and frustration, that's not unusual, OCD can be seriously frustrating.
If CBT and meds haven't worked for you so far, please don't give up. There are a LOT more options than just the basic antidepressants and one-size-fits-all CBT. Most of the research shows that when someone's CBT doesn't work the first time, it's more likely to be because the CBT was done wrongly by the therapist, because it wasn't done for long enough (average recovery time for severe OCD isn't 12 weeks, remember, it's actually 6 -18 months, because the brain heals more slowly), or because the patient had difficult stuff going on in their life that made it harder. It doesn't mean CBT and exposure therapy will never work for you. It technically works for pretty much everyone, the only difficulty is that it's emotionally hard to do. My first try at CBT was completely useless too, but it's working amazingly now that I've discovered I had an underlying health condition and I work with an OCD specialist. So please try seeking help again, preferably with somewhere that specializes in OCD ( this NY centre can see you by Skype and they're amazing, if you can break into your savings and afford it, http://www.cognitivebehavioralcenter.com/ ).
Also, there are a lot more meds you can try than just the standard SSRIs. I keep a folder of the newest scientific research on this, and there are new categories of drugs being tried for OCD that seem to be working better than the old ones that affect serotonin. There are also accounts of OCD sufferers who've had success re-trying the basic SSRIs but adding in another drug (like an antipsychotic or an NMDA-agonist) on top. I completely understand your wanting to avoid the meds if you feel they're dong nothing, but I guess I'm just saying: 'not all meds are the same'. There are old-fashioned meds that don't work that well, and there are newer ones that are sowing promise if you're willing to experiment with a psychiatrist.
One thing I would point out is that sometimes us vegan folks have to take extra care over certain brain nutrients, because if we get low in them, they can make our OCD worse, and they're sometimes found in plants that we tend not to eat much of (like, am I going to eat twenty brazil nuts a day to get extra selenium? No, I am not!). There's some evidence showing that the meds for OCD can work better if you take them with supplements: http://www.news-medical.net/news/20160426/Nutritional-supplements-can-enhance-effectiveness-of-antidepressants.asp
Do check that you're getting enough B12, zinc, magnesium and omega-3s. My OCD improved a lot when I made sure I was getting these! They're available without prescription and can easily be got off amazon or ebay. Message me or ask for help around here (or the nootropics reddits) if you want to try them but you're unsure about which type to get(the omega-3s are best got from capsules derived from algae, for a vegan source).
One thing you can also try an alternative to standard meds is inositol ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Jarrow-Inositol-Powder-227g-Vegan/dp/B0013OUKPC/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1485942385&sr=8-2&keywords=inositol ), which works similarly to an antidepressant but generally without the side-effects. It's similar to a b-vitamin, and generally a mild and harmless substance. You can take 1 or 2 teaspoons stirred into a hot drink each morning, and many people with OCD find it helps. I
13dpo. Despite a cute little temp rise, it's looking to be CD1 of cycle 8 today or tomorrow (hard to tell with light periods, but definitely am bleeding). ETA: nvm, def CD1. With it goes my chance to share a BFP for our anniversary tomorrow, and my last chance to be pregnant before I turn 29 this month. I'm doing okay. :) The TL;dr is that switching to a ketogenic diet, drinking rasberry leaf tea, and evening primrose oil seem to have made a difference. Starting tomorrow I'm adding myo inositol to the mix because I've been doing a lot of reading on it and it seems like if a person has PCOS/insulin resistance it's a wonder supplement (While results vary somewhat, many studies are finding it to be as or more effective than Metformin for ovulation, weight loss, reduction of hirsutism/acne, etc.) and if they don't have those issues, there are virtually no harmful side effects and it may helpwith mood and sleep.
Benefits of the changes from cycle 7: EWCM during ovulation for the first time, reduced acne and weight gain throughout cycle, still had spotting and some ewcm during the luteal phase but it was significantly less than usual, cycle was slightly longer than average, luteal phase was pushed to a solid 12 days.
It is normal for couples to take up to a year to conceive so it's entirely possible there's nothing actually wrong, you just haven't been lucky yet. Most doctors tend to ask patients under 35 to wait 12 months before getting treatment for this reason.
A few points based on what you mentioned:

Elevated amh is indeed a good indication of PCOS. Elevated FSH is more complicated and it depends on what day of your cycle they took it as to what it means. If you have regular cycles you are most likely ovulating but you can confirm in the second half of your cycle with progesterone strips or with a progesterone blood test from your doctor. Progesterone strips are significantly more spendy than OPK (mostly because they are brand new to the market) but can be useful if the OPKs look good but you're not getting pregnant and are cheaper than a lab test if your insurance doesn't fully cover infertility.

They will likely do an ultrasound to check your ovaries for cysts (follicules that fail to ovulate). This won't be diagnostic on its own as both women with PCOS and women without PCOS can have these without anything being wrong and can have them at times, and have them go away later, but it's a data point that's typically gathered.
What does your a1c/ fasting blood glucose look like? Even at a healthy weight, most PCOS ladies have insulin resistance which can be a direct cause of early chemical pregnancies or miscarriages due to the high blood sugar. If your diet is primarily composed of carbs (especially starchy carbs like potatoes, rice, and bread), this would be a good thing to consider. Even with a sub 6% a1c you can experience highs that can damage your reproductive fitness. Myoinositol that your doctor mentioned (Ovasitol or other 40:1 ratios specifically) are very good insulin sensitizers and specifically address insulin resistance, as well as metformin, a prescription med commonly given to PCOS/diabetic women and diabetic men.
There are lots of other non-PCOS causes of infertility as well (including your thyroid). A good reproductive endocrinologist will do a full work-up to exclude as many other potential conditions as possible, including tubal problems and undiagnosed genetic conditions like congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Your obstetrician may or may not be versed in a full diagnostic infertility workup: if they aren't, feel free to ask for a referral to one.
I know my wife takes Myo Inositol with D Chiro Inositol. She says it helps her with her mood swings and also helps with some of her "women" issues. As far as I read (I love to researching all kinds of supplements) - D Chiro is good coz it increases effectiveness of myo.
Has anyone tried this combo before?

I see some people in this thread recommend Magnesium and Choline, I will ask her to try it as well! I wish there was a single supplement that had all of them together. I remember she used to buy Myo and D Chiro separately as well, which I know, because I had to pay my credit card bill, and it is pretty expensive :)
Now she uses combined one, and she says it does the same thing.

I started it 2 weeks ago. Taking [this one] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N232VFS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and this one and am really liking it.
I am not trying to get pregnant. I am done having babies but trying to alleviate the symptoms of PCOS and it seems to be working really well!
Big PROS are my appetite is almost non-existent. I eat normally and my sugar cravings seem to be gone. I also am on keto but suffered from blowing my carbs at the end of the day from cravings. I also started going to be earlier and completely omitted alcohol which seems to be best friends with sugar cravings. However, even during the day, I am just not hungry and things with sugar don't even sound good to me. They don't sound bad...it is just not something I crave at all which is SUCH a difference. Usually, I was fighting the will power game for most of the day. So, that has been one of my favorite things so far.
Second biggst PRO is how much it seems to have helped with my mood/anxiety. Like big time. I have felt so much more calm and balanced during the day. It is a noticible difference. I really really like that! Feels like I can deal with normal stress now instead of getting confused if I am stressed or dealing with anxiety or if it is something that is genuinely a problem.
I have lost a pound since I started but I have been keeping strict with keto as well and started up exercising again...so, not sure if that can be linked directly to the inositol. However, I think it can be linked indirectly with the lack of appetite. It has been so easy to stay under a calorie/carb range.
I got my period within 5 days of starting to take the pills.
My periods had been pretty regular for about a year now since I started keto so I wasn't looking for too much help in that arena. So, it was kind of a surprise when I got it 9 days earlier than normal. HOWEVER, the good thing I did notice is that I didn't have nearly as many PMS symptoms as usual. No cramps, no sharp shooting pains, only a tiny bit of snappiness and my breasts were pretty sore but I can handle that if the rest is diminished.
Anywho...that is my current place with it and I plan to keep buying it no matter the cost. The anxiety help alone is worth the money. Hope that helps...and good luck to you!
I take a supplement called Inositol. It’s supposed to help with various aspects of PCOS, from depression and anxiety to fertility and insulin issues. I’ll provide the Amazon link to you at the bottom.
Also, thank you for asking this question! When I asked my doctor if I could have a referral to an endocrinologist (insurance wouldn’t cover it otherwise) to find an alternative to Metformin, he suggested that I go to a weight loss clinic instead. It’s nice knowing there’s others out there with PCOS who needed an alternative to Metformin too. It’s great seeing how others are finding successful methods to cope and heal. I hope you find some answers that help and wish you the best!

I do have excess hair on my chest and abdomen, but since it's only been a couple weeks, the jury is still out on whether that will change. My guess is that if it is helping lower my free T, then it'll help prevent more hair, but I'm skeptical to think it would reduce body hair altogether.
I'm using the Jarrow formula from Amazon. Just FYI - it does have a mild sweet taste, so it's best mixed with juice, tea, or another beverage. I do a 1/2 tsp morning and night - I read elsewhere that taking too much at once can cause stomach/GI upset, so I elect to split my dosage to be on the safe side since I'm usually pretty sensitive. Fortunately I haven't had any issues with it yet. I'm sure after starting you could ramp up to 4 grams (typical dose) if needed.
I've been taking 1tsp of each every morning for a year and a half. I've seen huge improvements with ovary/menstrual pain, and it has shorten the length of my periods (from 10-12 days to now 5!) Moods are much better as well. I add it to my morning smoothie but i can be mixed with water, it has a light sweet taste.
I also use Vitex which is suppose to help with Ovary health. It helps with pain for me.
I used to add NAC with it, but I don't use it as often. It has a very strong sulfur odor/taste. It was difficult for me to take because of that.

Hope this helps!
Yep it is natural (vitamin b8). I would recommend using combination of D Chiro and Myo, as D Chiro improves absorption of Myo. I use this brand of inositol , however there are others that people like as well. I take 2050mg a day. I found in brought my cycles back, i have less mood swings. One of my girlfriend, after starting inositol was able to get pregnant in couple of months. I also like that it is natural, so better for your health.
Not op but I did a very similar regimene.
I discovered inositol when I went on a journey to attack my pcos holistically. No doctor ever mentioned it even though there are plenty of studies. Oddly.
I did not take folic acid. I eat lots of legumes which are naturally high in folate though.
It works very well with all my meds/supplements (I take metformin).
My drive is better than ever. I feel more womanly knowing I have a healthy reproductive system. I'm also not on hormonal bc. I used the FAM method. Which is just as effective (seriously look it up). The book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" explains it very well.
I used a cheaper treatment than Ovasitol or pregnitide. Bought a tub of myo and capsules of d chiro.
1 teaspoon 2,400 mg of this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0013OUKPC/ref=oh_aui_i_d_old_o1_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And 1 capsule of this : https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N232VFS/ref=oh_aui_i_d_old_o0_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I wanted to mimic the product ratios of Ovasitol. Which was developed and researched to help PCOS women get pregnant.
Myo-Inositol is by far my best find. Try high dose. I used this one and followed the indication to take about 9 gram twice a day. It was a godsend.
Then I found water kefir and milk kefir and what they say is true, theses bacteria seems to have effects on dopamine. I experience profound happiness moments. Not all the time. Some anxiety left but I'm alive. Its weird and amazing.
A thought is to switch brands?

When I first started looking into supplements, I bought all of the name brand stuff. Then when I got it I looked up the ingredients and found cheaper versions of those ingredients on Amazon.

For Ovasitol, the replacement would by myo inositol. You can find some much cheaper versions off of amazon Canada (like this one: https://www.amazon.ca/Organika-Inositol-Myo-Inositol-90-vcaps/dp/B00J388UU2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1539602211&sr=8-1&keywords=myo-+inositol if you want to keep taking 4 tablets a day, or this one if you want to mix the powder with water once a day: https://www.amazon.ca/Best-Naturals-Inositol-Powder-Pound/dp/B00BE0PYGA/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1539602211&sr=8-6&keywords=myo-+inositol)

Other supplements that I found that have research saying that they might be effective is Vitamin D supplement (at least 800 mlus) and QCo10.

Also a side note! I have been taking just myo inositol for 3 months now and my periods have shortened to 29 - 33 days. It definitely made a huge difference.
Sure! i saw a bunch of people recommend the Jarrow powder formula so I bought it online. It is lightly sweet and I just pour a tablespoon in my drink/water to sweeten it. I also carry a ziplock bag of it in my purse so that I can use it at work.
Make sure you don't take it with caffeine. Adding vitamin C sometime throughout the day also helps (whether by food or supplement).
https://www.amazon.com/Jarrow-Formulas-Inositol-Supports-Function/dp/B0013OUKPC
I take myo & d-chiro inositol & so far they’ve been really good at reducing my glucose & insulin levels. These are the ones I use:
Zazzee Myo-Inositol Powder, 255 Servings, 18 Ounces (510 g), 2000 mg per Serving, Includes Free Scoop for Exact Dosage, 100% Pure, Vegan and Non-GMO, All-Natural Fertility and Reproductive Support https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JZNBP92/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xOisDb0Y04FF1
Zazzee D-Chiro-Inositol, 90 Veggie Capsules, 50 mg per Capsule, 3-Month Supply, Ideal Dosage for 40:1 Ratio with Myo-Inositol, Vegan, Non-GMO and All-Natural https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N232VFS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_6OisDbTA4JRFX
I use the inositol powder here. It's about 1/10th the sweetness of sugar (being a sugar alcohol), so it isn't nasty at all. I put it in my coffee in the morning.
As far as effects go, I have begun having a regular "spotting" every month. After I went from BCP to IUD, my periods disappeared. I seem to feel a little better.
I'm going to harp on you now about your diet. I'm 36, highly, highly active (I work in a professional kitchen, hobbies include rock climbing, trail running, and mountaineering) and have been diagnosed pre-diabetic. "Pre" diabetic is just fancy talk from the doc for, "you have Type 2 diabetes, but I need to spend my time with people whose limbs are rotting off." Getting your diet together is going to be the single most important thing you can do, and I promise (PROMISE!) you'll feel so much better when you do. Eat at regular intervals, avoid simple carbs. That will help you avoid hypoglycemia, which it sounds like you are doing. For insulin resistant people with high activity levels, reactive hypoglycemia is a Thing.
You say you get very thirsty, have to pee a lot, and you are hungry and hangry often. Please get checked for diabetes. It's Serious Shit. Inositol alone isn't going to control it, you have to (HAVE TO) clean up your diet, and some folks will have to have other pharmacological interventions. Personally, I'm just staving off the needles for as long as I can.
Good luck, this disease sucks ass.
I have only used Ovasitol which is often the one recommended by specialists. However, this brand shouldn't be a problem because it is also 2000 mg myo-inositol and 50 mg d-chiro-inositol, in a 40:1 ratio, twice a day. There is no reason that the exact same ingredients in the exact same amounts shouldn't work the same way. Inositol is inositol regardless of the brand.
However, if you use Wholesome Story, you will only get 15 days if you take it twice a day to get the required 4000 mg of myo and 100 mg of d-chiro that you would with Ovasitol. That amount has been found to be the most beneficial for PCOS. That would be over $100 for three months while Ovasitol is $65-75 for 90 days depending on where you order it.
This is probably the best deal:
https://www.amazon.com/PREGNOSITOL-Powder-Servings-Ideal-D-Chiro-Inositol/dp/B07NLDK791/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=zazzee+inositol&qid=1563222407&s=gateway&sr=8-9
if you take it twice a day, that would come out to $47.97 for 115 days. The only difference is that it also adds folic acid which is beneficial especially for PCOS.
Yay for a new lappy!
Have you tried this, my friend swears by it. My hubby is going to try it this week to see what he thinks. =)
I know you don't want to hear about some supplements, but I swear on this stuff called inositol, I ordered mine on Amazon. There's some study out there proving how it can help reduce and somewhat prevent a tolerance from forming (if you don't already have one). I've been on Adderall for 5 years, and I swear by inositol. When I take a tolerance break of just 1 or 2 days, I can totally notice the effects of the pills more (which may or may not be because of the inositol). My tolerance was so bad at one point I actually had to take 80-90mg to feel even a slight effect-
I have had pcos for several years now and found several supplements that really helped me. They're available on amazon and are for hormones. They are merely a suggestion but have helped me greatly!
DIM
Calcium d-glucarate
Myo-insitol
Hope i can help
I use NOW's powder inositol from Amazon. I just recently switched to another one so I could do a monthly subscription from Amazon and like this one too: Best Naturals Inositol Pure Powder, 1 Pound https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BE0PYGA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_q-KXzbXAF4AY7
First off you are one beautiful lady!!! Heavy or thin but I'm sure you feel and show it more now that your thinner. Next this is just a suggestion because I'm no doctor but I don't believe in trying or taking prescribed meds for anything. I mean if I can find anything that will help in the way of supplements or vitamins I will take those instead. My daughter suffers from anxiety also and I discovered this vitamin that has lessened her attacks a lot.She only takes only 1/2 the recommended dosage 1 teaspoon of Inositol along with 1/4 teaspoon of Choline DL- Bitartrate. Read up on these two things they may help you as well.

My RE recommended it, but technically he recommended I just buy the key ingredient, myo inositol, and take that. It's much less expensive that way.
30 days of pregnitude, $35
113 days (at 2000 mg/day) of inositol powder, $14.72
BTW my RE specifically recommended the Jarrow brand.
Overall he recommended it for egg health, and had me start it 4 months before my first IVF retrieval cycle.
Is there different versions? I may pick some up to help with anxiety and feeling better.
Edit: I bought these a while ago but didn’t do much.

My doctor said that less than 1000mg won’t do anything. But, I’m not a doctor, so, if I were you, I would find a new doctor if possible. If not, there are definitely ways to manage pcos without Metformin or BC. Here is some info worth reading. (On pcos supplements and inositol) hope it helps.

Well, I’ve only taken myo-inositol with D-chiro lnsitiol. I don’t believe weight gain is a normal side effect. Every supplement or medication will have weird side effects for a few people I guess. Here is the brand I use
The only side effects I’ve had are being gassy the first few weeks. I also take meds for ADHD - brain fog isn’t any worse than normal. But - I guess my meds could mask that. It’s used in high doses for anxiety, but that’s like twice the amount that’s recommended for PCOS.
Ya, I'm going to find a different doctor. After all the test, she told me I had insulin resistant pcos gave me the birth control she prescribes to all her patients and told me when I want to get pregnant to set up another appt. She'll never see me again that's for sure.
Here's the link. You have to take it with the d-chiro one as well. I take 4 myo and 1 d-chiro together. Each morning on an empty stomach. Read the reviews though. But which ever you chose the dosage is key in my opinion.

Are we the same person!?
After a ton of research and nearly shitting myself on Metformin I ended up trying a supplement I found on amazon. It's called inositol. I take myo-inositol and d-chiro inositol and it's changed my fucking life without losing weight. read the reviews on it it speaks for itself. I didn't wanna do birth control or metformin and this helped me while i got onto keto! I am not paid or anything even remotely close to that I just started this stuff in the summer and my doctor is over the moon about my blood result changes and I don't suffer from the facial hair but many reviews say it really helped theres. Worth a shot!

I got mine off amazon. Worked wonders with my ovulation, sugar cravings and skin health. I bought the combination of Myo and D-chiro since it's better absorbed.

They recommend taking it together. I've found this one on Amazon where they are both present. I cant order it unfortunately since Europe... www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01BT92C24/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8
It was this brand http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013OUKPC?ref_=sns_myd_detail_page bonus it is on sale
Try supplementing inositol--It is very effective at treating the symptoms of PCOS. At least 14 studies have shown it to work, as you can read about here.
Hi there! I don't have insurance either at the moment and have had periods over they years with no insurance. I would start looking into a low carb diet like keto, this can help with your blood sugar and loose weight. I just started taking DCI for about 4 weeks, and got my first period in 10 months. I take two a day in the morning, along with coconut oil pills, vitamin D3 and magnesium. I recently purchased Ovasitol to try the mixture of both myo and d-chiro inositol. I've seen a lot of girls on here who use this brand. I've now been researching berberine which is supposed to have equivalent effects as metformin. Hope this helps!
Here’s the link to the brand I buy, and if you have any questions about dosing and stuff like that let me know or pm me

Myo-Inositol Powder ~ 2000 mg (1 tsp) This is the brand I use
D-Chiro-Inositol 50 mg (1 pill) Same brand
I take these first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. They also improve my mood tremendously.
Finally diagnosed around 2 years ago (I'm 28). I went on Yaz and started taking 1000 mgs of inositol around 8 months ago. I did cut back on alcohol in this time, but I've lost 35 pounds now. My eating and exercise habits didn't change. Link below to the inositol I use
ETA all of this to say, I eat a varied diet, fairly clean during the week and not so clean on the weekend. I eat plenty of carbs.
NOW Foods Inositol, 100 Capsules / 500mg https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002PU5YO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fuqIyb5BSJ46V
I started taking Jarrow Inositol which is myoinositol last spring. I was taking 4000mg daily either in the morning in a smoothie or in the evening dissolved in water. I got pregnant in August, I was good about taking it for the first several weeks but then got such severe morning sickness I stopped it and haven’t restarted it. We started trying in April 2016. I was also going through fertility treatments when I got pregnant, but I did feel better just with the addition of inositol.
It's just the brand
zazzee from amazon it was cited many times on this subreddit. Been taking it once daily for about two months now.
This is the one I take, I do 3 capsules a day for fertility more than anything.

However from what I read while there are two types your body will convert one of the types to the other.
I copied and pasted from an older comment. I feel like a salesman for this stuff at this point because I've told so many people about it, but I swear it worked for me (and that I'm not getting paid for saying this).
Name brand is Ovasitol :

Let me know if those links don't work. Mobile is hard.
I had made myself for a long walk because I knew if I stopped moving I would just crawl into a corner and just break down.
I was still hypersensitive when I came back to my desk and took the 3 packets equaling 6 grams.
I can tell you when I take the inositols and follow Keto I have a much much greater handle on my mind.
But my anxiety is different for yours and everyone else as they are all unique cases.
You can get 180 - 2 gram packets for 78$, I used to buy bulk powder cans, but the packets are just so much easier to use and have available they are worth the cost to me.
Search the Jarrow reviews for Anxiety and you can read a lot of reviews about people using it for Anxiety, and what doses work for them.
Jarrow Formulas Inositol Powder
Hey there, I was just diagnosed a week ago but have suspected PCOS for quite some time. I've been taking inositol powder 4g every day for only three months and it's helped me with so many of my symptoms. My horrid acne is clearing up, my happy trail is basically gone, and instead of only getting a period every other cycle I'm now at a 32-35 day cycle. I've just started eating keto again since I quit last year so I'm excited to see the effects of the inositol paired with the diet and exercise.
The inositol powder I use
You've got this!
I have had pretty good luck with inositol.
I'm probably a 5-6 on a scale of 1-10 (1 being no OCD 10 being basically non-functional due to OCD) and I'm in a similar position of not being able to afford therapy or medications.
I found this after some research and I figured it was $10 a bottle so what the hell. It's been pretty amazing. During the day I'm at a 1.5 to 2. If I'm really worn out I go up to a 3.
It doesn't help me with extreme stress; if I'm really overloaded and stressed out I'll still have a lot of the same compulsions but they won't be as strong. I take 750mg/day when I get up and that seems to work just fine. On days I know will be bad I'll double up and that seems to help. I know that 3,000/day will make my heart flip into hummingbird mode. It's not pleasant.
After a while you don't even really notice the effects anymore. A few months back I tried going off just to see if I could cut down the number of pills I was taking per day and after a day or two I seriously regretted it. It's something you don't notice until it's not there anymore.
Disclaimer: I am not a doctor nor am I giving medical advice. I am merely relating what helped me and if you are considering using inositol I suggest you seek counsel from a qualified medical professional prior to taking it.
That's frustrating. There's no shame in being concerned about the aesthetic symptoms... I totally get it! How much sugar do you eat? Cutting back on sugar would be step 1 and could make a huge difference. Next I'd reduce calories in general which cuts down on overall carbs. And remember the docs are just telling you what they know. Advising pcos patients to eat low carb is In their playbook. My instincts tell me that if you eat a diet of mostly fruit, veggies and nuts and seeds with some legumes and grains your body will be overall healthier regardless. Have you looked into taking myo-inositol? https://www.amazon.com/Myo-Inositol-Capsules-Vegetarian-Fertility-Reproductive/dp/B01JZNCZI2
I think it's supposed to help with your testosterone levels so it's not just for if you're trying to get pregnant
I have used this kind in capsule form: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JZNCZI2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
which was fine but serving size is 4 big pills, and that was going to get expensive, so I'm using this stuff now:

and I use about 1/4 teaspoon. It's just the inositol powder with no fillers, so I don't have to take 4 horse pills.
I should also add that Mirena changed my mood and caused me depression. It was such a slow, gradual change that built up over time, so I didn't notice it happening and it wasn't until I got it out that I realized I was just never feeling happy the whole time I was on it. So, check your mood. This was not even a reason I got off of it, because I didn't realize it was even a problem until it was gone.
