Dang girl!
I just got this cat tree for my cats. They love it! I think it's of a pretty good quality, and if they rip it up at all, I can fix it quite cheaply and easily.
You seem to have very similar tastes in video games as me, so I would recommend either the Mass Effect Series or Rune Factory 4. I haven't played Rune Factory 4, but I've loved the other games in the series and I think you might also really enjoy it!
I'm indecisive, too, so I'll probably end up buying myself a ton of games & movies once I'm back home
Edit: Forgot to put an item in my original post
>I recently bought a play and charge kit from eBay...the battery won't charge...Does anyone have a solution?
if the item was sold as new and/or in working condition, return it. eBay has pretty favorable buyer protection. if it was sold as-is, you are out of luck.
in addition to a stand-alone charging station, your choices are as follows:
All three of those choices are around $15 delivered (assuming you are in the USA).
I think you're confusing it with the plug and play kit, those don't make it PC compatible. You need something like this to use a wireless 360 controller on PC. I guess it's possible that stores around you sell 360 controllers with the adapter, but I've never seen them bundled, in fact, I've never seen the adapter in any physical stores, bundled or not.
For me, it isn't about convenience, it is about cost. Both the wired and wireless cost ~30USD, but for the wireless you need to tack on the cost of a wireless adapter, and batteries and/or charging kit. All in all the convenience comes with a pretty hefty price tag, and for someone like me, who is more comfortable in their desk chair, there really isn't any use for it.
They can release it for free. They would have to remove achievements though. Several games break the rules and release DLC for free with achievements.
There are rechargable batteries that are not 3rd party. These are just the black ones, but they do have white also (maybe more). Both come with rechargable batteries. http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Quick-Charger-Kit/dp/B0041CWZEM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1311452674&sr=8-1

I personally like the quick charger. Get 2 rechargable batteries then you can alternate between the 2.
The console life is only halfway over. It's already longer than any previous console EVER! 6 years now and 6 more to go! No reason to make a new one if the current one's sales keep going up from previous years. The whole point of this reddit is so they can listen and use what sounds good. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/308963/ms-xbox-360-about-halfway-through-its-lifecycle/
Hope some of this helps :)
is the cable OEM or third party. I have third party cables, and they do this exact same thing, go red for a few seconds and then go green and stay green. doesn't matter if I use third party or OEM batteries. the OEM cables I have work flawlessly.
these days I use the standalone Microsoft charger more than anything.
This is what I use. I have a few official xbox batteries and a 3rd party battery pack (I don't have exactly this one but it's similar. I got them all at Gamestop). They all work great.
I'm going to save someone some grief here and point out that the "specific adapter for 360 controllers to allow them to talk via USB" is the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows. This will let you connect up to 4 wireless Xbox 360 controllers. It's only officially supported on Windows, but you can use it on Mac and Linux as well.
DO NOT BUY the poorly named Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit. As much as it seems like it should work, it DOES NOT allow you to use wireless controllers over USB. The cable only sends power, no data.
I'm pretty sure I've read this before...
edit: yup, here's the original

I refuse to buy a Play n Charge kit until they have the Play n Charge QuickCharge kit/stand/thing like the 360 version had. -_-
I used to have this thing for charging the removable battery packs, and this for when I wanted to play while I charged. Are you talking about those pads where put the whole controller on it, like this Nyko thing?
Dear Console Gamer:

Problem solved.
Your Welcome,
People who know how to use Google.
For Windows support you'll want the wireless variant with Windows in the name, as the non-"Windows" variant doesn't include the dongle. The dongle works plug-and-play with Windows 7 (IIRC, or 8.x+). The dongle can also be bought separately. You might also want the Play-and-charge kit.
If you own a 360, this is a pretty much a requirement:
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Quick-Charge-Kit/dp/B0041CWZEM/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1342581904&sr=8-5&keywords=xbox+360+battery+pack
Eliminates the issue you are describing. Would have been nice to have it built in, but with that and a spare battery, I always have one full on the charger and one in my controller. Works well.
If you mean the Plug and Play Charger cord, that won't work. It doesn't transmit any info, just power. When you plug it in Win 7 will recognize it as a USB device, but it won't receive any input.
> I hear Xbox controllers work great, but they are so expensive comparatively.
How many controllers do you need? How often are you buying new controllers? The "Xbox 360 Controller for Windows" (includes the wireless dongle, does not include a rechargeable battery but does include 2 AAs) is currently about $50. Adding a Quick Charge Kit and spare battery is an optional ~$45 that you can spend later. Also, I believe that the wireless dongle allows multiple controllers to connect to it (I haven't verified this, though), so you can buy "regular" Xbox 360 wireless controllers for players 2-4.
Or you can get a wired controller for $34 and skip all the battery stuff.
I guess that's kind of expensive, but they Just Work^tm so you don't have to keep messing around with them or replacing them.
When I still had my xbox, I liked this solution. I had 2 controllers, and 2 rechargeable batteries. It's got a light to tell you how charged the battery is. Most of the time, it was just me playing alone, so I could always have the spare battery in the charger. If the xbox warns you when your battery is getting low (I honestly don't remember), easy enough to just pop it in the charger when you're done.
These are good rechargeable battery packs http://www.amazon.co.uk/pc-video-games/dp/B00284AI3K
Get the play and charge kit (or just buy the batteries if you can find them) and then get a quick charge kit.
Messing around the AA batteries is annoying. The rechargeable ones are so much better.
The stock, wired headset is fine. Still use mine to this day. I've tried a couple of aftermarket ones and the wireless one, and I still prefer the original.
I just want an Xbox One Quick Charge Kit, like for the 360.
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Quick-Charge-Kit/dp/B0041CWZEM/
I have two external battery packs charged and ready, and when the one in my controller dies, I just snap one new battery block into my controller. Hugely satisfying.
Fiddling around with batteries doesn't come close. But with the new Xbox One controller design, I don't see how this old battery block design would work. Too bad, it was a great idea.
Black wireless is 44% off, Silver Charge and Play is only 31% off. Its actually 99 cents cheaper to order the black controller and a separate charge and play adapter (http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Black-Play-Charge-Kit/dp/B000OYMYZQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1332195429&sr=1-1) if you want it. Not that 99 cents is much but I would rather have a black controller then that fugly silver.
I didn’t say Xbox batteries, I said battery PACKS.
Like these:

In fact we had these exact ones.
Here is a link to what I have.
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Play-Charge-Kit/dp/B000B6MLS2
You plug one end into your xbox and the other into your controller and you can play and charge your controller at the same time.
What you have there is a nine volt battery. AA/AAA/C/D batteries are 1.5 volts. Since the controller uses two AA batteries (assuming in series) the voltage it needs would be 3 volts.
With the nine volt battery you are trying to use, you're sending three times the normal voltage the controller is suppose to be getting. My guess is that the controller may have a built-in feature to detect overvoltage, and that is what's causing the tumblers to spin and cause the vibration.
The solution here is basically to stick with AA batteries, and leave nine volt batteries for things that actually need nine volts. I'd probably suggest getting a rechargeable battery pack, something like this.
THIS is a better option. These bad boys last a good 35-40 hours between having to swap em out. I got it along with THIS for my two 360 controllers and I couldn't be happier.
I only see the Play and Charge kit. Am I missing something?
I'm talking about this thing.
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Quick-Charge-Kit/dp/B0041CWZEM/ + extra batteries
I don't know if your iphone adapter will work. I don't know it's volt and amp ratings. However, there is the XBOX 360 Quick Charge Kit that plugs into an outlet.
Venom twin charge cradle, + 2 batteries
So, this is what I need to get I assume?
http://www.amazon.com/Nyko-Power-Adaptor-Kinect-Xbox-360/dp/B004UPPAE2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1346718599&sr=8-3&keywords=kinect+adapter
The charger pack, and cord for an xbox controller sell for slightly cheaper than that.
I supposed you could use those for other things, but I don't use batteries for anything other than my television remote.
But it comes with a rechargeable battery pack...
I'm still waiting for the Xbox One version of the Quick Charge Kit
Buy these
And These
basically brand new.
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Play-Charge-Kit/dp/B000B6MLS2
I think you'd still have to buy the wireless receiver, though. At that point it would be cheaper to just buy a wired controller.
Venom charging stands are great, takes much less space than leaving the controllers lying about, means they have a dedicated place to live and are always charged. I have one for my 360 controllers and another for my PS4 ones. Haven't found anything that will do my Switch Pro controllers though :(

There is a charge station you can get that just means you plug the controllers in at the end of the night and they charge.
https://www.amazon.com/Controller-Charger-Charging-Rechargeable-Batteries/dp/B07HHS53SK/ref=zg_bs_6469272011_20?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=KBMPH87KW9Z4V5K6M3F5 this is the one I used before I sold my xbone
I use one of these puppies.. When my battery dies I just pop it out and put it in the block and grab the other one that has been charging and pop it in and I'm done. It's so fast, I usually don't even die while my COD dude sits idle.
If you mean the Charge Kit for the Wireless Controller I have tried using that with a PC and I have never had any luck. If you find a game that does not support a controller you can use This software to map each button to its keyboard and mouse counterparts.
I use this
Always have two batteries recharging and I can swap at will if the one in the controller runs low.
