I'm very much into the workerwear/buy it for life camp, but for most of my every day carry items that I consider to be accessories, this is what I have:

  • Headwear - For me I usually aim for caps and beanies. They're extremely versatile and are the most noticeable accessory on you, because well it's on your head. ASOS has tons of options for caps but for beanies I love Carhartt
  • Sunglasses - To protect your eyes from the sun. I like Warby Parker
  • Wallet - This is one of those things that people rarely see, but shows a lot about your style when it is seen. For me I have a wallet from Tanner Goods which has gotten a compliment every time it gets pulled out.
  • Carabiner - This one is optional and more personal preference for me. I don't like having my keys in my front pockets and always bunch them with my wallet in my butt pockets. But to make sure they stay on me I use a Carabiner key holder. I used to own this one for awhile. The one benefit I like for this is that it also has a bottle opener on it too.
  • Phone Case - Don't know if you're someone that chooses to go caseless, but I have learned the biggest thing I accessories is my phone nowadays. Over the years I've learned to love the feel of leather cases. I got this one from Shinola that I loved and over time patina'd very well to have a nice aged look.
  • Umbrella - Not something I use all the time, but it's always in my backpack. I like ShedRain's umbrellas
  • Backpack - Outside of hats, this the second most noticeable accessory that gets noticed on you if you're a working professional. I used to commute by bike a lot in my previous city and learned to love Chrome. Also every bike commuter has had one of their messenger bags at some point in their lives but their backpacks are super solid too.
  • Fitness tracker - Another optional one. But I have noticed that every single I started having this, it's pushed me to continue to be healthier and they strive to get me to be more active. Fitbit Alta's are the main ones that friends have that do't want to break the bank. For me thought I use an Apple Watch and I love the thing.

Warning: incoming wall of text:

Okay, assuming you are coming as a freshman and moving into a dorm you have to be careful about what you bring. Over the course of two or so weeks keep track if things of yours that you use and don't use, this may save you form lugging tons of unnecessary things with you that will clutter up the room. Also don't bring too many clothes, there is less room than you'd think for it and you can wash it whenever you need.

Here's a short list of must haves for the dorm: A mattress pad and god sheets, at least tho pillows, A RUG! get one at goodwill, doesn't need to be much but it'll keep the floor from freezing your feet and keep scuffs off of the floor, hangars, towels, a printer (if you don't have one pick up brother laser printer - $50), extra chargers, a good comforter, a good pair of headphones, a few flash drives, a basic set of hand tools, a laundry bin of sorts, a few cups, paper plates, paper bowls, utensils, lots of pens, pencils, paper, a whiteboard for the door, a lamp, a flag or blanket to hand over the window or on the wall, sticky hangers for the wall for keys and such, tape, a power strip, some string, and anything else you use on a regular basis.

For outdoor life at asu: A hammock if you like being outside (ENO are the best, if you want one get a double and DO NOT BUY THE ENO STRAPS unless you are a derp when it comes to things, buy this and two carabiners like this one, why? because even with the $30 pro eno straps you get at most 9' of reach from each end of the hammock, and that's only if the branch is small, the ropes on the other hand allow up to 25' form each end which makes for some really fun times when you string it up over one of the rivers or streams so that your feet touch the water), don't being that much sporting equipment unless you really plan to use it, bring an ultimate disk if you throw, and disk golf disks if you throw those, a swim suit for the rivers, sunscreen, a few good light reading books to read outside(the hobbit, the princess bride, war & peace, etc), a towel to lie out on, sunglasses, etc.

Stuff for class: a small book for fast notes, dated, times, etc, I use a black moleskine, it's smaller than a daily calendar and has more uses, several spiral bound college ruled notebooks (use one for each class and store/file it when you are done with the semester, later on this will come way in handy when you need to refresh your memory and do research), comfortable pens in black, red, and blue (for classes that require extensive notes on ongoing lectures rotate colors each day, it helps with studying and referencing for papers and projects),

I can't stress these last points more so pay attention as they can make or break your grades: Sit at the front of the class! You'll be less distracted, more engaged with the professor, less likely to play on your phone the entire class, and most important the professor will know your face. Also, be personable, you may be shy but when in classes get to know those around you and work with them, study with them, and utilize each others knowledge to help raise each others grades. Don't miss or be late to class!! Even if it's an 8am with a cross campus walk be on time, many departments now have strict policies regarding absences and tardiness, for some two misses will be allowed and each form then on can be anywhere form 2points to an entire letter grade, so do the math, you can love the class, the prof, and the subject, but if it's early and you miss 5 classes total that A could become a C. And finally keep your phone away in class, I'd say that swapping detailed notes and good attention for phone game or reddit time is worth two grade points.

I hope this isn't too much and helps somehow.

Gearward Compact Survival Cord Mini, 25’
[http://gearward.com/collections/frontpage/products/compact-survival-cord-mini-technora]

Tucked inside the folds of the cord are: a micro neodymium magnet, a pen spring, a small safety pin.
[https://www.amazon.com/10-100pcs-Neodymium-Strong-Magnets-MarbellStore/dp/B01LZEJWVK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484275063&sr=8-1&keywords=micro+neodymium+magnets].
Have actually used this for: fishing some ladies keys from a grate at the school before the janitor could show up. Also repaired a neighbour’s skate lace with the cord.

Night Ize Inova thumb light (three functions, bright, medium, flash)
Have actually used this for finding a lost earring in a dark movie theatre. Thought I would use it to find the locks on my house and car, but everything is pretty well lit.

Stanley Key Chain Tape Measure
[https://www.amazon.com/Toysmith-Key-Chain-Tape-Measure/dp/B000F4G5NW/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484274328&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=stanley+keychain+tape+measure+1m]
Have actually used this for buying a new sideboard from an antique shop. Knew the measurements of the room and used this to determined it wouldn’t fit in that room. LOL.

Nite Ize inka Mobile Pen
[https://www.amazon.com/Nite-Ize-Mobile-Stylus-IMP-M1-R7/dp/B00BAWSOD2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1484275029&sr=8-2&keywords=Nite+Ize+Inka]
Have actually used this tons of times whether someone doesn’t have a pen, or for myself at the passport office or recently at the lawyer’s office.

Prime-Lite 5-1 Multifunction Keychain with Light
[http://www.prime-lite.ca/camping_outdoors/5-in-1-multifunction-keychain-with-light-24-852.html]
A new addition. I like the full sized Phillips screwdriver bit. Has a flashlight. Used it to open the bottom of my son’s new RC car’s battery compartment. Has a knife, too. Good for package opening. Not much else.

[Nite Ize DoohicKey Keychain Multitool]
Actually used this recently to pry open my frozen gas cap cover.

[Mini Bic Lighter]
To light cigs, mostly. Haven’t needed to start any urban fires. But… I wrapped over it a thin layer of [To-Go Gorilla Tape] (https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-6100101-2-Duct-Tape-Black/dp/B01M2AAGTZ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484274817&sr=8-1&keywords=travel+gorilla+tape) and generic electrical tape at the base. [I interwove the electrical tape through a generic (plastic coated) paperclip so that it acts as a keychain. Haven’t lost one yet.]. I used the duct tape recently when a poster fell down at my kids’ Christmas recital and I was able to peel a few pieces off for the teacher to put it back up.

[Mini Sharpie Marker]
Used it recently to write a nasty note to a jerk who dinged my car. Also to get an autograph on a menu of an actor you’ve probably never heard of, but who was big growing up in Toronto.

[Generic Folding Travel Scissors]
(https://www.amazon.com/UCEC-Scissors-Xiaoquan-Slip-N-Snip-scissors/dp/B0199VSV42/ref=sr_1_1?s=arts-crafts&ie=UTF8&qid=1484274914&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=folding+scissors&psc=1)
Sharper than I expected. I recently used this to save the day when my son refused to wear his new Christmas sweater for a family picture because the tags were itching his back. Snip. Problem solved.

[Gerber Dime Micro Tool]
Good to have this as it has pliers, but I haven’t used it other than to pull yellow lego heads out of lego helmets.

[Nite Ize Key Rack Locker]
(https://www.amazon.com/Nite-Ize-Stainless-Carabiner-MicroLocks/dp/B00FIX12AG/ref=sr_1_1?s=arts-crafts&ie=UTF8&qid=1484274970&sr=8-1&keywords=Nite+Ize+Keychain)
A good way to keep it all together. These clips don’t lose their… clippieness.

So, I love this little EDC. Will continue to use it, thought I don’t see many ways to improve it!

u/jsamhead · 1 pointr/EDC

Jeans and shorts with jeans-style pockets. I carry a lot but I've very carefully selected and configured everything to fit in the main 4 jeans pockets really well.

Left front pocket: Olight M2R Warrior (clipped), Wallet, Leatherman Squirt PS4, Zippo, Gik-tek Ruk V1

Right front pocket: Spyderco Shaman (clipped), Google Pixel XL

Right back pocket: Tactile Turn Glider (clipped)

Left back pocket: Leatherman Wave (clipped)

Other: Fossil Q Explorist HR, Wedding Band, Cheap Aviators, Keys on Nite-Ize locking S-Biners

I carry multiple "knives" (Shaman, Ruk, Wave, and Squirt) but they all have a different purpose. The shaman is for big stuff or slicing apples, the Ruk is for small precision tasks like opening boxes, the Squirt is mostly for the excellent scissors but I use the pliers and screwdrivers from time to time too, and the Wave is for the big pliers, big screwdrivers, and serrated blade.

  • Water bottle: Klean Kanteen 64 ounce stainless steel - $30
  • Phone: I might buy a cheap MetroPCS phone w/ $25 plan
  • Wallet: Alpine Swiss - $12
  • Watches: I'd be happy with a black and brown Timex Easy Reader - $25 each. Fossil would be my next level, but what are some some even better watches?
  • Flashlight: This is hard because I love my light but it's discontinued. It would have to be a single AAA light with a reversible pocket clip. Maybe a Lenser P2 - $17
  • Protection: Condom case - $5 and Skyn condoms - $17
  • Protection: Glock 19 - $550 and Galco King Tuk - $60
  • More protection: Milt Sparks pocket magazine carrier - $63
  • Belts: Black and Brown Hanks Amish Belts - $36 each. Maybe I'd shop around, but they have been working for me.

    Keys:

  • Leatherman carabiner + bottle opener - $10
  • SOG keyknife - $11
  • Uncle Bill's tweezers - $10 for 2
  • A pill holder from Winn-Dixie... - ~$5
  • Reusable earplugs - $13

I'm not sure if I want to carry a full-sized knife anymore but I think the Boker Plus Nano ($43) looks cool!

That's just about my current EDC. I'm planning on eventually buying the carabiner, key knife, tweezers, and I'll probably go with a desantis pocket mag carrier opposed to the 3x more expensive Milt Sparks.
u/Squirrelous · 2 pointsr/videography

Fair enough, no need to worry about audio then.

And when I say carabiners, I mean these guys. I know it's not strictly camera gear, but having a good clip to free up a hand or hold something has saved me in the middle of a shoot a few times

I modified my setup a bit, to accodomodate feedback from other people and to see what works best for me

Somebody suggest to use this knife:

Here's my new setup:

RIGHT FRONT POCKET

Any dynomighty wallet, just pick a design

Car keys (whatever your carkeys are). If you want a USB stick added on to your keys, use a Micro-HDMI for low profile and convenience

LEFT FRONT POCKET

Iphone6, Samsung S6, etc etc. Whatever floats your boat

duck tape

Tape planet had the cheapest prices at $1.54 each

http://www.tapeplanet.com/Mini-Rainbow-Duck-Tape-Duckling-p/stdtpl-282322.htm

BACK LEFT POCKET

Measuring tape. This one has the lowest profile so it doesn't hurt to sit on, 10' is good enough for almost everything

that's my current setup

u/BizChap · 1 pointr/Entrepreneur

For this? Since its a general product, you definitely do want to be open about it, in order to build trust.

I understand why you wouldn't want too - what if someone dies using your product and you get socially flamed to no ends because of it? Then legal lawsuits, backfiring PR, all that good stuff

I can't exactly tell you what you should or shouldn't do - because I don't know the product that well. Is this a product you'd stake your life on in climbing? If it is, i'd put my "About me" page on there. If it's not, I wouldn't put anything on "about me" page there

Not sure if your going for a money making scheme (magnetic bracelet to get "more energy" http://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Balance-Fatigue-Titanium-Bracelet/dp/B00EO0C2C6 (pst science doesn't work like that), gluten-free diet fad that doesn't do anything, etc) or you legitimately believe in your product and have done some form of analysis or tested it.

Also, depends on how you are getting your product made. I wouldn't trust a unregulated chinese factory for products that could mean life or death, especially for climbing. Well that's my 2 cents. If it was like a baby caribiner like this, for general purpose usage, then it wouldn't really matter http://www.amazon.com/uxcell-Shaped-Aluminum-Carabiner-Keychain/dp/B00B2YUY7C/ref=cm_wl_huc_item

Just some random one I found on Amazon. Here's the link if you're interested.

It came in a 5-pack which seemed like a good value, so I bought it. I wasn't expecting anything great but it actually has been holding up pretty well.

u/Smoke-and-Stroke_Jr · 1 pointr/Damnthatsinteresting

I have one of those!! SO cool and has a lot of other great uses!

Edit: https://www.amazon.com/Cyfie-Grappling-Stainless-Climbing-Carabiner/dp/B0778B15F5/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1537836329&sr=8-10&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=gravity+hook

It's called gravity hook. There is a certain brand that came out with it that O have, don't remember the brand though. This one looks the closest to me on Amazon though. I think I paid $20 or so for mine last year.

u/2souless · 3 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

haha! No, you read it right! I'm going to crochet a chain, and connect it to a second chain using double crochets, then connect it to my post using [these] (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00835PCF2/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=1TXT7ADV3OFZM&coliid=I1W47OTDOSXSMV). As long as I make my stitches tight and use good yarn, it should hold. I'm pretty confident.

Nite Eze makes locking carabiners that will thwart opening a zipper in a crowd, etc. https://www.amazon.com/Nite-Ize-SlideLock-Carabiner-Stainless/dp/B01D3OEZGY/

Pacsafe is the 800 pound gorilla of the theft resistant luggage world. Not cheap, but you can find deals on eBay. Good quality and features, but you have to use the locks and latches every time.

Your habits mean more than anything. Never hang a bag over the back of a chair. Put your leg through a strap if sitting with a pack off. Carry your passport and credit cards on your body in a waist or neck money stash and not in your pack. Tuck the pack under your arm in crowds and transportation. I prefer a cross body/shoulder bag vs a backpack for security.

u/Nish5115 · 2 pointsr/OnTheBlock

I have a radio holder, flashlights, pouches for gloves, OC holder, here's the old oc case that I upgraded from which worked great for three years, Handcuff Case, Key Clips and/or Carabiners work great too.

u/puppyhelper · 3 pointsr/puppy101

Are you looking for the part that attaches the leash to their collar? If so I just use these carabiner clips because they're cheap and they also hold my GSD's muzzle onto his collar and a dozen other cool things like hanging plants and holding up bird feeders.

Side note about the muzzle - first off, it's not a tight muzzle, it's a leather bucket kinda thing that I had a tack shop make for him. He's not violent, it's just to make other's feel safe when we're walking. He likes to smile at people and they kept phoning the police thinking he was trying to attack them.

u/net-diver · 3 pointsr/Bushcraft

If your not fickle about price these look exactly like what you have but they are $8 a piece

Personally I use ones like these and find them quite effective while only $2 a piece

Not exactly what you're looking for, but I like these:

http://www.amazon.ca/Nite-Ize-KRK-03-01-KeyRack-S-Biners/dp/B0037H7S6C

Works great for my needs, I don't use their ring, just the small s biners on a standard keyring.

I wear the leatherman cap lifter sidekick. It isn't "real" climbing nor is it locking but it is perfect for belt loop carry. The clip is stiff and I've never lost anything with it. It's been through the washing machine a couple times without any decrease in performance. The bottle opener comes in handy as well.

u/Drfetus177 · 2 pointsr/ar15

Pretty unique looking setup there, I dig it! Tried something similar before with the clips, try these out https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00FIX12AG/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1518998665&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=s+biner+microlock

They can lock for when you are moving , some normal clips like to pop off when the gun starts to swing around. I use two of these on my 10 ish pound AR and they work great! I can even convert between 1/2 point setup now.

u/Cualer · 5 pointsr/okeechobeemusicfest

Not really, they have a decent amount of weight to them (compared to the camelbak itself) and I figure it'd be pretty obvious if it was removed. For a bit more peace of mind it wouldn't be a bad idea to use a few of these screw-carabiners to attach stuff to my bag

u/mengheng · 1 pointr/frugalmalefashion

I was going to suggest you ask the folks at /r/rawdenim, a lot of people there have some nice looking ways to keep their keys. This is what I have and I love it.

u/stopbuffering · 1 pointr/dogs

I use this clip and think it's perfect. You can put the tags right on it. I don't know if it'll fit around the pieces on Floyd's collar though. They do have other sizes, you just might not be able to slide the tags right on and you might have to use a metal ring (but you could probably use a smaller one).

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/pics

I use a giant carabiner to corral the shopping bags so I can have one hand free.

Like this one (I got mine at home depot)

u/Darth-Traya · 2 pointsr/EDC

[I attach one of these to my belt loop and let my keys and stuff rest near the midpoint of my pocket (there are smaller ones if this is too big).] (https://www.amazon.com/Nite-Ize-S-Biner-SlideLock-Stainless/dp/B01D3OEZGY/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1501079039&sr=8-10&keywords=nite+ize+sbiner)

Here's a thread on wallets I responded to from not too long ago.

[And here's another great thread on slim wallets.]

I just bought one of these but I change my wallet around a lot.

When it comes to style I don't know what beats a watch or a good pair of shoes. In terms of gear a lot of people around here also carry a flashlight, a pen, and a pocketknife.

u/NotTheLips · 2 pointsr/RATS

Nice!

Something you can try instead of zip-ties (to help with cleaning) are carabiners. I can't live without them!

u/GALACTICA-Actual · 3 pointsr/EDC

Ex LE.

You'd be amazed at how skilled pack/purse thieves are. They literally practice for hours, the same way pickpockets do.

They also often work in pairs. You don't want to get into that mess.

There is a very easy solution, and it's not expensive, and no hassle to use.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy some braided aircraft cable, like this, and some cable crimps (they come in bags of two, but get a couple of extra in case one gets messed-up when crimping it). Both places will cut it to the length you want, and it has a sturdy plastic coating, so it won't damage whatever you wrap it around.

You run one end of the cable through one side of the crimp, and feed it back through the other side of the crimp. Then pinch the crimp down to lock the cable in. There are tools for this, but you don't need one for the gauge cable you'll use; a hammer and a flat cement surface is all you need.

You don't need really thick cable. 3mm or below is fine. Get either a screw locking carabiner or a small padlock.

You only need it to be 1' 1/2" to 2' long, and it's lightweight and coils up to go in your pack.

Just seeing a pack strung-up will usually make them move on to a different target.

Ahh, ok. I was fooled by the "ideal self defense edc"

There's always something like this, or a variation, if you're really just looking for a multi-tasker keyring.

Might not have the "cool factor" for you, though.

I actually have the carabiner that broke on you, I hope it holds up well!

I use these giant carabiners for singles, they're easy to clip onto my hydration pack.

For cuffs, I use a military style web belt like this one

I've been using the S-Biner for almost 4 years now daily and havent had an issue with any of the locks breaking/not functioning.

Highly recommend it if you are looks for something that will keep your keys secure.

I just tried that S-Biner with the bottle openers for a week or so. I really wanted to like it but it was just too big and clunky.

I am giving this one a shot next. It arrives tomorrow...

Discreet and light weight are also subjective. Do you carry a bag on you every day? or are you wearing cargo pants every day? or does all this have to get stuffed in the pockets of your jeans?

A lot of these things are completely personal choices and as such you might take a step back and evaluate what you have and consider what you find wrong with your current choices.

You might start with an Altoids tin FAK or Altoids tin survival kit

Knives...small, inexpensive, discreet, unassuming. A few come to mind

CRKT Squid

Keshaw Shuffle

Wallet. What's wrong with the one you have now? or do you just want a fancy new one? All my life my leather bi-fold wallets have served me well. Only had two in over 20 years.

Flashlights are good. You can go knock off or Streamlight.

Pens. People recommend Fisher Space Pens such as the one I linked. They're quality pens, durable, stylish and refillable. I personally carry grey Bic disposables because people steal them or I lose them.

Multi-tool...I suggest Leatherman. Again it's subjective based on the tools that you need. Take a look at the Leatherman website. They have a good tool selector based on size and number of tools you want/need. My Skeletool CX has always served me well.

A way to carry keys? What's wrong with how you carry them now? If you're stuffing them in your pocket traditional key rings are still fine. Carrying them of body? on a bag? Then some sort of carabiner works, like the Keybiner or some variation. Don't want something rattling around? The Key-bar is nice if you don't have giant keys.

What you need is a carabiner. You can find them very cheaply online and they are good for a variety of tasks.

I don’t carry one anymore, but Leatherman’s carabiner opener has worked well for me in the past.

Just bought one of these and I'm very happy with it. It feels durable and looks stylish and minimal imo. I'm sure I'll get flamed by everyone who thinks it isn't minimal but remember that everyone has their own definition of the term.

Before I was using a small Carabiner and the key rings were loose on it. (I have separate key rings for work, home, etc). More than a few times I opened the latch to unhook the Carabiner from my pants and a key ring fell off. Kind of defeated its purpose for me which was to keep track of my keys. I put my key rings through the hex slot on the Leatherman and that secures them to it where they won't fall off.

Also, every regular Carabiner I've found in store is aluminum with cheap paint that scratches off very easily and looks like shit in a matter of days of use. Not sure what material the Leatherman is made of but it seems high quality and it is not covered in a thin layer of paint that comes off and looks tacky.

I purchased this from Amazon and have not been disappointed.

I have a cargo net that goes across from the hooks nearest the door. This works well for groceries and travel bags.

I also have cargo nets on the side walls just incase. But those haven't been useful yet.

I drill specific patterns into my keys so I can tell them apart in the dark. For keys I don't carry this solution cost less than $5 and I don't look odd buying different colors of nail polish.

u/germzap · 2 pointsr/EDC

My apologies the second one was supposed to be this one

u/FreneticPlatypus · 1 pointr/funny

I got one of these to make this a little easier.

u/flowercup · 1 pointr/pics

Get two of these and hook all the plastic bag handles through, it would all be so much simpler.

u/ShmuGrizzle · 34 pointsr/fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu

I use a giant carabiner. I attach all the bag handles while they're still in the cart and then lift the whole deal into my van. Do not include the bag with the bread in it though. I'm not sure of the physics, but the bread WILL end up on the bottom.

Sorry, I should have said that I don't have the Leatherman attached to my keys. It just sits in my pocket. However, I do have an S-Biner for one set of my keys that I can quickly take off. It's metal and has a locking function. It is one of these small ones: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FIX12AG

u/OmegaMax147 · 2 pointsr/motorcycles

I use an S-binder with a slide lock similar to this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D3OEZGY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_WrlhAb1WV522G

When I'm not riding I have all my keys hooked together with my house keys on one side and the bike key on the other. When I jump on the bike I unhook the motorcycle key and clip the house keys to either my belt loop (for short rides) or put them in a zippered pocket (for longer rides). Hasn't failed me yet, and no keys bouncing around when I ride.

Sorry, just got home.

-Leather Wallet

-Moleskine Notebook*

-Pencil and Pen

-Casio G-Shock Watch

-Nite-Ize Key Organizer

-Knife made by LumaForce

-Key chain: PNY 16GB Flash Drive, Duct Tape Cylinder, Swiss Army Classic Pocket Knife, Keychain Light

I usually carry all this on my person and have a full sized light and first-aid kit in my pack.

u/cuterocky · 2 pointsr/Ultralight

I keep mine in the shoulder strap pocket of my Exos. I also have it clipped with a locking carabiner (the smallest/#2 size of these) to one of the loops on the strap. That way there is absolutely no chance of me losing it or it falling off. I'm not in an area where there are dangerous river crossings and I very, very rarely leave my pack to hike somewhere without it so it's not an issue to me to not have it on my person.
