30. Carousel Sliding Transfer Bench with Swivel Seat. Premium PADDED Bath and Shower Chair with Pivoting Arms. Space Saving Design for Tubs and Shower.

    Features:
  • - PROFESSIONAL GRADE sliding transfer bench, bath and shower chair. Effortless sliding and pivoting for safe, easy transfers in and out of the tub. Platinum Health products are used in thousands of hospitals, nursing homes and in private homes by customers who value quality, safety, convenience and comfort over price. Note: OPTIONAL LEG EXTENSION KITS AND HORIZONTAL TRAVEL EXTENSION KITS ALSO AVAILABLE.
  • -PADDED SEAT, BACK AND ARMRESTS. No more cold, slippery, hard plastic parts like old-style bath chairs; the Carousel provides warm to the touch, comfortable, slip resistant padding on all main components. The medical-grade, closed-cell molded polyurethane padding will not absorb any water and is easy to clean and disinfect. Quick TOOLS-LESS assembly in less than 5 minutes.
  • -SWIVEL-SEAT SPACE SAVING DESIGN. Not only is the swivel seat safer, easier to use and more comfortable than a standard fixed seat, this design means that the chair protrudes into the room much less than a traditional transfer bench. More convenient for the user, and more convenient for others that don’t require use of the chair since the free space in the bathroom is much greater.
  • -ROBUST, PIVOTING ARM RESTS. The padded arm rests can be raised and lowered and locked into place. Unlike standard chairs with no armrests, the robust armrests on the Carousel can be used as leverage points to help the user into and out of the chair. They also provide important additional physical and psychological support against slips and falls and fear of slips and falls.
  • -HI CONTRAST COLOR FOR SAFETY. Our unique HI-VIEW BLUE color makes the key parts of the chair much easier to see by vision impaired and/or dementia afflicted users. Rather than blending in with the background like old-style white benches, the blue contrast color helps users distinguish the chair from its surroundings and significantly reduces slips, trips and falls- the leading cause of death by injury in people over 65.

If the shower is built into the bathtub, as a LOT are I'm realizing, there are chairs designed to fit over the side of the tub, https://www.amazon.com/Giantex-Medical-Adjustable-Bathroom-Transfer/dp/B010H1OIF4/ref=sr_1_44_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1491759272&sr=1-44

If your ceilings aren't too high, you can use something like this (not that actual one, way to pricey), and use a clamp that grabs onto the pole, and ends in a 1/4 20 to screw the base station on to.

Perhaps something like this?

Might a grab bar be solid enough to work with a clamp?

It is exactly what it sounds like. It's usually sold in medical stores for people who for one reason or another cannot stand in the shower or are at high risk of slipping (elderly, etc).

Various price points. The last one is cheapest and doesn't specify shower, but does have non slip pads and says you can use it at the beach

A bathtub transfer bench might work for you if she can lift her feet up while sitting to get them over the edge.

No,but there’s more. Searching for 41818 on Google I found this https://www.amazon.com/Faucet-41818-18-Inch-Contemporary-Polished/dp/B00I2HHGVE

I think its one of these just without the seat power-up.

u/wordjockey · 2 pointsr/books

Do you use manual or electric?

u/Truthpaste62 · 2 pointsr/whatisthisthing

I would think something similar to one of these.. Back before they were readily available, people would make their own using pipe. From the looks of what you have, I lean more to that... a U-shaped seat that rested on e tub edge and 2 legs (with crutch tips) extending down to the tub floor. Your gizmo would keep all that from sliding off of the ledge.

u/SonsOfLiberty86 · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

Would this work?

u/nycellist · 1 pointr/Cello

The Black Hole (sorry, I thought I had included a link) is a dense, inert material that does not transmit sound. The rubber tip on an endpin is not adequate for this purpose. You could try getting a silicone mat to put under the black hole, too. Silicone does not transmit sound effectively. Something like http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0085286X8/ref=biss_dp_t_asn
The cause is not the volume of the strings, it is the fact that you are inadvertently using your floor, her ceiling, and the space between them to transmit your sound into her space. Beyond that, you have the right to practice during regular hours. I believe 10PM is the latest, by law, but I try not to play after 8 regularly, in case there are small children.

u/eaktheperson · 1 pointr/DIY

Okay...so this is a bit of center, and perhaps not the solution you may be looking for. However what about philips hue bulbs. It's totally overkill, however it gets you around having to run an extra wire. http://www.meethue.com/en-US

Edit: or cheaper... found you this. http://www.amazon.com/Heath-Zenith-WC-6025-WH-Transmitter-Controlled/dp/B002PFAVPW/ref=pd_sim_hi_1

You can get this or something similar to control your lights if they are the regular screw in lamp base type.
