I would highly recommend this faucet. And it's $46!! I was a little skeptical because it was so cheap but it's really amazing quality, all metal interior, ceramic mix valve, really solid and heavy, smooth action. Amazing for that price.

Light fixtures is this one. It's cute, nothing to write home about.

Remember that you only get the lesser of 50% or $500 for both the charger and the installation/ESA inspection for a maximum total of $1,000 incentive.

Some suitable alternatives:

Super economical charger that delivers near 5kw of power. Not hardwired but has a weird sized plug. Good for the Volt, but maybe not a future vehicle and also on the list of eligible chargers:
https://www.amazon.ca/Leviton-EVBL2-P18-Evr-Green-Electrical-Charging/dp/B0173JGZNQ

Another economical charger that gives you a little bit of future-proofing as it delivers 9.6kw of power and on the list of eligible chargers. Hardwired though so tougher to take with you if you're going to move:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01MY70I8N

ChargePoint chargers - good for future proofing, wi-fi connected, but a little more on the expensive side. Comes in both hardwired and plug versions. 10% off right now helps, but discount expires July 9:

That's as good as the reply I got when I asked whilst sitting in a new-built four bedroom house in Milton Keynes: "we can't afford those fancy mixer taps!" It's just so weird how such a terrible design is just taken for granted across an entire wealthy nation. It's something you use multiple times every day. Think what a big effect it would have on your quality of life if you didn't have to choose between frostbite and second-degree burns every time you use the loo.

With this model you're spending money on shiny chrome and limited reach. It's probably fine if your brew sink is also your kitchen sink and you want it to look nice.

But if you want to get serious, get a commercial pre-rinse faucet, made for restaurants who are washing dishes all day and night. They're not pretty, but they're stainless steel usually, and built to last. They also have a much better reach, so if you have a large 24"x48"x"24" stainless double utility sink, it'll do the job.

here is an example of what I'm talking about:

commercial pre-rinse faucet

I don't own this brand personally, it was just the first hit on amazon, to point you in the right direction.

Everything is Moen, so the showers are 1222 Positemp cartridges, and the faucets are 1255 duralast cartridges. I don't remember the exact model of the sink faucet. (Quick searching on amazon, the Moen 6190 is very close to the sink faucet,) The shower valve body is the Moen 8371HD I'm pretty sure.

Where would the mop sink faucet's check valves be? On the spout? If that was the case the check valve wouldn't be able to stop the cross siphon condition wouldn't it? This is similar to the mop faucet. I assume the vacuum breaker is the center piece.

Pretty sure this is the exact one we use at my store. You will need a gas hookup for it though.

I was so pumped from the cave exploring that when they said, "Climb this telephone pole," I didn't even look down- straight up.

Unfortunately I have no electronics component shops in the area at all. So 22 awg ferrules should work for the connectors, but the issue is that I am not sure what AWG the wire inside the 3.5mm cables are. It is definitely smaller than 22 AWG for sure, even smaller than 26 I think.

Edit: I believe they are 28 AWG, I tried finding information on it and could only find one post saying that. I have 26 AWG wire and it is smaller than that, I believe 28 is it, or at least close to it. I couldn't really find any that were 28 AWG, but I did find these 26 AWG wire ferrules

It looks like Amazon beats them all.

EDIT: Also it looks like they have one on Amazon Warehouse deals for $148. I bought two sinks and two faucets from Amazon Warehouse Deals. All arrived immaculately. The faucets I'm pretty sure had never even been opened. Amazon Warehouse Deals is my go-to for when I want something nicer than entry-level big-box stores but I don't want to pay full price. You do take a little risk with condition, but it's never been a problem for me. Downside is limited selection and you have to pounce when you see it on there.

u/HeadOfMax · 4 pointsr/KitchenConfidential

Take the grates off and the burners out. On the back side of where the valves are are the orifices. Clean the hole in the middle out with a toothpick. If this doesn't work you need to turn a bunch of them on and then watch them while you turn another on. If the flames get lower you have a gas supply problem. The problem is most likely in the regulator. Follow the gas line from the wall to the range and before it goes into the range should be the regulator. They keep the gas pretture between 3-5 inches of water column. There should be a cap on the center you can take off and under a scree to adjust the pressure. If you back the adjuster screw put too much it will fall out. I would get a new regulator the regulator itself should cost around $25 and will require a few pipe wrenches to replace. This one should work.

https://www.amazon.com/Maxitrol-Pressure-Regulator-Natural-52-1011/dp/B00851MUGS

You also might have an issue with the quick disconnect on the supply line. Take it off and make sure it isn't caked with grease and moves freely. You can use degreaser to clean it just make sire to lube it with wd-40 after.

The caps OK those burners do sometimes get warped and when they do they lose some gas around the seam. Make sure they aren't losing any gas from the seam.

u/david12325 · 14 pointsr/mildlyinteresting

Here is something similar for pretty cheap you could install at home.

u/jojowasher · 3 pointsr/DIY

maybe something like this would work for you, and then get a hose you can attach to it when you want to use it.

u/eerfree · 1 pointr/homeautomation

So I understand you want to shut the water off completely but why not just add something similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/iTouchless-Faucet-Automatic-Touch-Free-Adaptor/dp/B000EJXR0M

It will make your sink a touchless and it will shut off automatically after she's done.

You'll still be wasting water when she does it but I'm sure a few pennies worth of water isn't going to break the budget if you're already in the market for a solution to remotely shut the water off.

Or just replace the facuet completely with a touchless.

I personally like the idea of what the one guy posted but soldering isn't something everyone can do and adding on that is going to probably require a LOT more work because your sink (probably) doesn't have any/much exposed copper. It probably has just enough stubbing through your cabinet for the anglestop to be attached to. So you'd end up needing to route new lines inside your cabinet for that thing to attach to. It would get messy and probably a lot more costly unless you're able to do it yourself.

u/CaptainOuzo · 1 pointr/arduino

Like one of these?

They work because of the very transient need for power. The solenoids only have to operate occasionally, and are often of a magnetic latching type that only requires a short pulse of power to toggle between open and closed, just like a latching relay. In some cases the solar panel even charges up a capacitor while the faucet is not in use. See here.

Small indoor solar cells are exceeding flaky, the amount of power produced is highly variable and a lot of careful design is required to make devices which use them reliable, unless they are very low power devices. However, your typical Arduino board with highly inefficient linear voltage regulators, plus wifi or RF modules, are not really "low power" in the true sense of the word.

This is what we have installed on one of our sinks, our cat learned it in 30 seconds, dogs learned it after about 2 days. We've used it for about 5 years now, replaced the device once and replace batteries about once every 9-12 months or so. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000EJXR0M/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1425782354&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SY200_QL40&keywords=automatic+faucet&dpPl=1&dpID=5120H7BY79L&ref=plSrch

For what it's worth, I had one of those and it worked for probably a year. It just broke off within the last week. You just need to have a properly sized faucet I suppose.

I think this is it. It's not super amazing, but for $3 it's not bad. Or, at least the one I got wasn't.

u/ssjvash · 1 pointr/gadgets

That seems to be ridiculously overpriced for basically adding a 3rd color to the traditional red/blue faucets. ($5.89 + Free Shipping on Amazon) and my company has been selling these forever, currently ($3.99 + Calculated Shipping)

I shot the video for these - the only problem is that they are too long, and would only really work with long-necked faucets.
