Like you, I've always had great success with tea. It seems to majorly reduce any nausea for me. However, when I go camping and need something portable, I measure out my doses and put them in chocolate bars via molds. You could buy them from amazon, but I found it's easier to pick them up a hobby store. Anyway, just get a couple of chocolate bars, melt them in a pan, throw your powdered mushrooms in them, put it in the mold, freeze it for a bit, and viola! Wrap the bars in tinfoil and keep them cool and you're good to go!

I wish I could help you with the tea. I have never tried mushroom tea that I didn't consume immediately. I have heard that psilocybe isn't water soluble and tends to degrade rapidly over time. I personally wouldn't recommend brewing the tea before hand, but again, that's because I've never tried it. If you do want to make tea, build a fire or bring a small camping propane gas grill (these can be had at walmart pretty cheap) so you can brew the tea when you're ready. Just my two pennies. Peace! Have fun!

Edit: It appears that mushroom tea does do well in containers for a period of time. According to this shroomery thread the tea should hold up for awhile. TIL! I apologize for the confusion. I haven't been to shroomery in over 8 years, but it is where I learned all of my valuable information.

I absolutely adore the movie "Mr Hollands Opus". The main character is so much my theatre teacher from high school. If you haven't seen the movie, and you want an amazing good story, please watch it!

During the course of the movie, Mr Holland is creating a beautiful piece of music.

I like to create beautiful Gingerbread Houses and that is how I linked the two!

Popcorn treats!

Welcome to our amazing little awesome part of the interwebs!

Leaving a reply here for anyone else that attempts these! I have been trying this and had a surprisingly hard time with them. I initially tried to use a silicon soap mold (it was brand new, I washed it very well) but the hole was too small to use actual egg whites.

I spent a few weeks looking for a good mold and finally found a ton at Micheal's, including these Nerdy Nummies Hearts.

I cut the corners off of my mold as close to the hearts as I could and it fit in my 6qt instant pot tightly, but well enough.

I assembled them by distributing the following among the 12 hearts:

  • 14g Fat Free Cheddar Cheese
  • 3g Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 4g Hormel Bacon Crumbles
  • 3 baby spinach leaves, torn up

After I had sprinkled all of that among the 12 hearts (those are the amounts I used for 12, not for 1) I added in ~110g liquid egg whites. I would suggest trying to get all the ingredients wet with the egg white, but try to fill them just below the lips of your mold so you don't spill when setting the mold in the IP.

To cook, I added 1C water to the instant pot, then set the little steamer tray/metal tray inside. I set my egg mold on top and covered it loosely with foil (try not to let the foil touch the eggs, it'll just make a mess. I used the steam setting for 10 minutes, then did a 10 minute natural release.

I have frozen mini quiches before, so I went ahead and froze these with the intent of heating them up in the mornings before I eat. They came out to 1.6g protein each and 9cal. :)
u/penny_dreadful_mess · 3 pointsr/dogs

The oven ones were ok. As in, I wouldn't purchase them but they worked over no treat at all. Some did crust over and I had issues cutting the wet food up but about 70% were useable.

I would definitely recommend parchment paper or foil because they stick like crazy (as they are a GI friendly treat you can't really use oil). Also cut them sort of bottle cap size and space them out well. Also, put the wet food in the fridge before for easier cutting.

I mean, I did look into silicone bakeware in case I had to make them longer term, so if it isn't an occasional thing, that might help (you can even use silicone in the microwave). They also have cute paw and bone shaped molds though a mini muffin pan would probably work best. Luckily, the GI issues for my pup were easily sorted but if they come back I would invest in the mold.

I got a dino mold for Arbitrary day and the gummies end up being perfect thickness, but too wide and theyre dinos so I feel bad cutting them D:
I poured the rest into like a sandwich thing and they were fine, but I want to make shapes and stuff so I can have gummies when my friends/roommates want to have a movie night or something. Any idea for molds? I feel like something like [this] (http://www.amazon.com/CK-Products-Flower-Assortment-Chocolate/dp/B003QMMQ3S/ref=sr_1_50?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1345248206&sr=1-50) might result in gummies that are too thin (it's a 1/4" deep.)

But yes! These are the best, my favorite carb free snack :D

Copying and pasting for you my recommendations to a friend the other day who is starting Keto:

Your friends:
Avocados (very good fats + potassium), eggs, butter (I think you're allowed clarified butter on Whole30), veggies, fish, coconut oil (I get this at Costco), coconut milk (the pure stuff in a box or can), macadamia nuts (in limited quantities), Swerve / erythritol, sparkling water (La croix is fantastic), decaf or herbal tea - (green tea especially is great because it helps with fat-burning, balancing blood sugar, lowering appetite, and has lots of antioxidants), Cauliflower rice - this saves me, Roasted vegetables

Suggestions/links to purchase:

Magnesium supplement I use (should also help a bit with sleep)

Potassium additive - NoSalt or NuSalt - add it to your food if you're not getting enough Potassium in your diet (most people don't) - you can probably find this in the grocery store for less $$, but I don't know for sure

Decaf green tea I drink 3 times a day - it's decaffeinated with CO2, not chemicals, and it's organic.

SWERVE erythritol sweetener - 1 pack or 2 pack

STUR water flavor drops - for keto champagne or just to add to water

Miracle noodles - they are definitely available at Whole Foods, or you can also find them at a few asian grocery stores (shiritaki noodles). These taste bland and almost gross on their own, but if you add sauce and meatballs, they do a pretty good job of passing for spaghetti if you're desperate.

Silicone candy molds for keto fudge and other keto candies - they seem superfluous, but after you try making keto fudge in a regular pan, you'll realize how much easier these are for portioning and for getting out of the pan.

And finally, the INSTANT POT - I recommend this to everyone I know. My partner and I use it multiple times a week, it is amazing, it does everything. Pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, browner, yogurt maker (also makes julienne fries!!). Seriously you cannot go wrong with this thing.

Keto Fudge

Keto champagne

Cauliflower Rice

Maria Emmerich has an impressive collection of recipes and I've been using the sweet ones especially for a craving / fat bomb

I tried all sorts of meats and ultimately settled on chicken as the primary source due to costs. From King Soopers I would purchase 2 whole chickens, a pack of chicken livers, and a pack of chicken hearts nearly every week. I would use a cleaver to segment each chicken into 4 main parts and place them into a silicon bread pan like this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Wilton-Easy-Flex-Silicone-Cavity/dp/B000VQ8EF6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1382492459&sr=8-4&keywords=silicon+bread+pan

You'll want a decent sized cutting board as well because the process of whacking chicken into sections isn't really refined.

I'd spread the hearts and liver among the 8 sections until they're nearly even portions. Each section represents a meal. I would then stick those pans into the freezer and pop out a section when it was meal time. The silicon pan facilitates the separation of the frozen meat from the pan. It's surprising how well frozen meat sticks to plastic.

To supplement meals I would purchase random meats that I found were on sale at the Vietnamese grocery here:

https://www.google.com/maps/preview?authuser=0#!q=Alameda+Square+Shopping+Center&data=!1m4!1m3!1d21518!2d-105.0157865!3d39.7076418!4m15!2m14!1m13!1s0x0%3A0xa65e2affb4fb01e9!3m8!1m3!1d21518!2d-105.0240692!3d39.7087313!3m2!1i1278!2i1346!4f13.1!4m2!3d39.710059!4d-105.0141048

Especially the beef bones because they had tons of marrow that my dog really loved. They're also a good source of things like pig ears, chicken feet, and duck parts.

The peanut butter cups were super easy! This recipe made 11 servings, but that's just the number of cups my candy mold can hold. With the ingredients I used, each cup has 65 calories, 1.1 net carbs, 6.7 g of fat, and 1.2 g of protein. Enjoy!!

Ingredients

-4 squares (4 oz) of unsweetened hershey's baking bar

-3 tablespoons of unsalted butter

-1.5 tablespoons of peanut butter (i have smucker's natural creamy so I just used that)

-A couple of drops of nunaturals liquid stevia

Instructions

  1. I chopped up the chocolate into small pieces.

  2. I added the butter and chocolate to a small saucepan and melted them together over a low flame.

  3. I added a couple of drops of stevia, maybe 5 or 6? I just added them a few, tasted it, and liked it haha. No precise measurements in this step.

  4. I spooned a small amount of chocolate into my candy mold. I put some on the bottom and scraped some up onto the sides of the mold. (I have this one from amazon --http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003QP3H0G/ref=pe_309540_26725410_item).

  5. I put the candy mold in the freezer for about 10 minutes so that the bottom layer could freeze.

  6. After letting the bottom layer freeze, I took the mold out of the freezer and spooned in some peanut butter and another layer of chocolate in.

  7. I put the candy mold back in the freezer for another 15 minutes.

  8. I eat 3 pb cups with glee!!

Also, what is this recipe for almond cinnamon toast crunch you found??? And I may or may not have made this recipe again tonight only I incorporated the peanut butter into the melted chocolate and added keto salted caramel filling.

Oh man, this sounds so cool. I don't have anything for you specifically as like a mini that's already made, but I have an idea.

Brain Chocolate molds. They're for spooky hallowe'en candies. They come in other sizes, too, because I'm not sure how big an Elder Brain and it's tank thing are supposed to be, not to mention an Eldest Brain. I saw one that's like, full human-brain sized for a jell-o mold but that seems super excessive.

Anyway the pictures I looked up all show the brain as either standard coloured or kind of a glow-y blue. If you had an idea for a different colour, this could still work. Anyway, make the actual brain out of jell-o, so it's all wiggly. Get something to serve as the well or holder that's water-tight and half-fill it with something blue raspberry flavoured.

When your players do damage to it, they can take bites!

Or you could spray one of the molds with a releasing agent and fill it with epoxy or resin and then once it's dry, paint it like a regular mini.

Paperclips with hot glue added and smoothed out make great tentacles.

I think this is /u/mz4250's version (I'm pretty sure he's the one you're talking about, he's done the whole MM) I found on Shapeways. Model is free for download.

I did a quick googlin' and it doesn't look like there's an official version out there, so I think you're stuck with making your own.

Okay, so a while ago I said I was going to make a gummy bear tutorial and I never did so I thought it was about time I at least made a write up for them. This recipe will get you right around 200 gummy bears.

Tools:

  • Small non stick pot with a lid
  • medium non stick pot
  • 60ml Syringe - Here
  • stiff silicone spatula - Here
  • 2 small pyrex dishes - Here
  • Candy theremometer - Here
  • Fork to stir with
  • Gummy bear molds (or any other you like) - Here I also just found these
  • Measuring Cup
  • Measuring Spoon
  • Strainer - Here
  • Medium/large bowl
  • Partchment paper
  • A few large tupperware containers
  • Dram droppers for the flavorings - Here

    Ingredients:

  • 1 Package of Jello (85 grams if you have a scale) in the flavor of gummies you want
  • LorAnn oils concentrated flavorings - Here
  • LorAnns oils mold Inhibitor - Here
  • LorAnns oils Preserve-it Antioxidant - Here
  • 5 Tbsp plain gelatin powder - low quality / less chewie here High quality / more chewie here
  • 1 tsp of Soy lecthin powder - Here
  • 1/2 cup of Real Fruit juice of the flavor you want to make, get creative here, needs to be cold. Cold water can also be used but the flavor is not as good.
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • Glycerin - Here
  • 6 grams of Concentrates (AKA: BHO, Shatter, Wax, Oil, Hash oil, etc)
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut oil
  • Cornstartch

    Decarbing

Pre-heat your oven to 250F - 260F, use the digital theremometer to keep an eye on the temp to make sure it stays around there and does not get above 260F. I like to place my concentrates into the small pyrex dish and decarb in that. Put the dish with your concentrates in the oven for 30 minutes. You can check it around the 30 minute mark and see if it is fully decarbed. Look for it to be pretty clear of all little "carbination" like bubbles. When those are mostly gone you are done decarbing. It will take around 30 minutes. Go a little longer if you want couch lock / sleepy time gummies.

When it is done decarbing pull it out and set it to the side for a minute.

    Infusing the coconut oil

Grab your medium sized pot and put a few inches of water in it. get it to a boil then turn the temp all the way down to a very low heat. When the water is ready place your dish with the freshly decarbed oil into the water bath and add the 1 Tbsp of coconut oil to the dish.

Let the two mix for a few minutes until they are nicely combined. It shouldn't take long maybe 10 minutes max.

    Grease your molds

At this point if you dont have silicone molds (I do and I still grease mine for precautions) grease your molds so you don't forget to do it before adding your gummies.

    Preping fruit juice (or water)

In the second small pyrex dish pour your real fruit juice / water or whatever base liquid you are using for your gummies. I havent tried much besides fruit juice and water but you can experiment with other liquids, but don't do an experiment on a batch with THC in it just in case something doesn't work out.

To the fruit juice / water add 1 tsp of soy lecthin and stir with the fork. Place the dish in the fridge for 5 minutes or so and stir again. Let it sit in the fridge stirring occasionaly until the soy lecthin is fully desolved.

This liquid mixture NEEDS TO BE COLD for the blooming process to work so make sure to keep it cold.

    Mixing the dry ingredients

In your small non-stick pot mix the following together: 85 grams of Jello, 5 Tbsp of Gelatin, 1/4 cup of sugar. Completely mix them all together and dont let any of them get wet yet. Stir and stir until they are completely mixed.

    Blooming

Take your mixed dry ingredients and pour in your friut juice (water) soy lecthin mixture. Stir it and get everything evenly mixed and make sure there are no lumps. When everything is evenly mixed place the lid on the small pot and let it sit for 10 minutes.

This is called "blooming" the gelatin and allows the gelatin to absorbe the water. The water needs to be cold because gelatin activates at about 120F and after that will start to set when it cools. We don't want it setting right now.

It would be my pleasure to share the link! https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00FYQ9XH6/ref=ox_sc_act_image_6?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
That company makes absolutely precious candy molds! Trying to pick just one mold for my lollipops was difficult. Your family sounds so cute and I'm sure they would adore homemade candy. Especially candy that has more than one use. I hope you have so much fun making these and that you have a really wonderful holiday! <3

Since no one really answered your question ill try to give you some advice.
one i find all my pewter at goodwill i have collected pounds of it over the last 2 years. I personally use a 3d printer to make my models i use a monoprice maker select https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=13860

I use the lost pla process https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiugV_K8PdE
all the equipment you need to do this can get expensive but once you have it you can make a one of piece for a lot less than using silicone

Useing silicon is easier i use mod max 60 https://www.smooth-on.com/products/mold-max-60/ but is more expensive if i plan to make i bunch of an item ill make a silicon mold bit first i usually make the first one using the lost pla method then perfect the pewter piece then cast a mold from that.

For melting the pewter i use this https://www.amazon.com/Do-It-Molds-1892-Hot-Pot-2/dp/B002QG3H9M its good beacuse its easy to pour but just a small iron skillet on the stove works fine.

Ive not sold any items yet but im about to start you can see some of the things iv made in my profile.I plan to charge 4 times the cost of materials i saw on a forum some ware that that was a good starting point

Thank you :). I just used the molds from amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VPW0V8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This was the first time I used it and could not fill it properly. They still came out pretty good. Re: whey protein, I am not really sure of all the details. I checked the nutrition when I was buying from a bulk section and it was low carb. But you might want to look at /u/DonkeyKongSenior 's recommendation of using heavy cream powder. That might be a good alternative too.

u/garelecorbeau · 2 pointsr/treedibles

I just did two test batches using these ($8.99 on Amazon). It's three molds with 53 bears each. Each bear is 1/2 teaspoon, so the total volume for all three molds is 1.66 cups. That's your available volume for both the liquid and the gelatin, so you have to account for both. The gummy recipe that seems to work best is 3/4 cup water plus 2 tablespoons of tincture, and then one 3.75 ounce flavored Jello packet and two .25 ounce unflavored gelatin packets.

The bears turn out looking really great, lots of definition.

u/calicohoax · 3 pointsr/treedibles

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EJJ8SBK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm just using these, but there are all sorts of molds out there. And if you hit legal states I bet you can find those gummies you love in canna-form.

u/wyattdude · 3 pointsr/leangains

2-30g scoops of vanilla protein, 6tbsp of cocoa, 6 tbsp stevia in the raw, 1tbsp coconut oil or butter. Whisk with warm water thoroughly. Take peanut butter cup tray. Add 1 half peanut per cup. Add chocolaty mixture. Makes about 60 cups. Freeze to desired consistency. I make this almost every night. Delicious.

I bought it on Amazon. They're pretty huge chocolates. If I made them again, I think I would put some kind of filling inside to break up the chocolate-y-ness.

I made them myself. Melting chocolates are relatively inexpensive (you can find them at most any craft store) and I ordered this mold off of Amazon.

Though you could try and of these also:Here, Or Here, Or these "sexy frogs," which actually kind of creep me out, lol.

The one I ordered used a LOT of chocolate.

EDIT: I'm genuinely curious (although I don't expect any response this late in the game) why I got downvoted for posting a link to the product.

EDIT EDIT: Oh look, the post was removed. Even less chance of a response.

I've been low on motivation for a while, but calisthenics, walking and running.

The couple of exercise related items I have on my lists are well over the price range, so maybe I could dance while I fry me some eggs. :P

work out all day, twerk out all night.

Getting the grass ready for the tincture:

***

  • Picked up a half-ounce of Blue Cheese indica yesterday afternoon
  • Ground it up finely.
  • Spread it out evenly over a glass baking pan, cover the pan with foil and put it on the middle rack of a 250f degree, pre-heated oven for 30 minutes to decarb.
  • After cooling I crushed up decarb'd grass to almost a powdery consistency.

    For the tincture:

    ***

  • I put the powdered, decarb'd Blue Cheese in a 1 quart mason jar (jars with measure lines are immensely helpful) and poured in 190 proof Everclear grain alcohol until it covered the grass in the jar by about an inch.
  • Put the lid on the jar and let soak until the next morning. While waiting shake the jar vigorously and often during the evening/night.

SAFETY TIP -- Perform the following steps only in a very well ventilated area and away from any ignition sources.

  • In the morning I put water in a medium sauce pan, took the lid off the jar put the jar in the water. Make sure the water in the pan is up to the level of the alcohol/grass mixture in the jar.
  • Turn on the electric burner (don't try this on an open flame stove top) for the pan to medium-low. Using a candy thermometer as a guide, raise/lower the temp on the burner until the alcohol/grass mixture in the jar is a steady 170f. The alcohol/grass mixture should be simmering lightly.
  • Stir the mixture frequently and reduce the volume of alcohol in the jar by about half (roughly 1 hour).

SAFETY TIP -- The hot alcohol vapor escaping the jar is invisible and extremely painful if touched. Keep face and hands away.

  • Take the jar out of the water and strain the leafy material out the alcohol mixture using a cheese cloth and discard. Return the strained alcohol to the jar.
  • Put the jar back in the bath, stirring often, and continue to reduce until you're left with about with about 65ml (roughly 4.5 tablespoons) in the jar. The overwhelming alcohol smell should be mostly gone from the mixture and it should be ever-so-slightly thickened.
  • Remove jar from the water bath and allow to cool with the lid off.

    On to the gummies:

    ***

  • (2) 3oz packages of flavored gelatin
  • (2) 0.25oz packages of unflavored gelatin
  • 2/3rds cup cold water
  • 1-2 tablespoons of tincture, depending on desired potency.
  • Mix the ingredients over medium heat with a silicon spatula in a non-stick sauce pan until it is completely liquefied (2-3 minutes).
  • Pour the mixture from the sauce pain into a glass measuring cup for easier pouring.
  • Pour the mixture into a silicon candy mold. I used this one.
  • Refrigerate for 20 minutes. Remove from molds and let set. The gummies are going to be sticky after cooling, so set them on some parchment paper and let them come to room temperature. They should be easily handled at that point.

Since it was my first time doing this I went with different levels of tincture per flavor of gummies. 1 tablespoon in the (Jolly Rancher brand) Green Apple, 1.5 tablespoons in the (Jell-O brand) Mango and 2 tablespoons in the (Jell-O brand) Cherry Lemonade.

This is the recipe I used, without the lethicin. I infused 4T of coconut oil with 6g of flower, estimated at 15% thc. I got 155 bears meat approx 6mg per bear.

Next time I’d make the following adjustments:

  1. No need to spray molds
  2. Use the smallest saucepan you have - makes it easier to suck up the liquid into the dropper as you go.
