Interior surfaces (not seats): Prima Nero - Non-glossy (matte) finish so it doesn't glare, seems to last a good solid month before starting to need another round. Great stuff!

Exterior Soap: Adam's Car Wash or Prima Hydro Wash

Exterior Wax: Real Carnuba or Prima Banana Gloss

Exterior Spray Wax (in between reg waxes): Prima Hydro (not wash, just hydro) or Meguiar's NXT Generation Spray Wax.

Tools:

Microfiber mitt (good) or 100% wool mitt (better)
waffle weave MF towels for windows

MF towels that actually tell you what they are, i use (and love) these for drying and quick wax: http://www.amazon.com/MONSTER-MICROFIBER-EXTREME-THICKNESS-Microfiber/dp/B001UFK9NM/ref=pd_sim_auto_1

EDIT: I struck out the Carnuba because the rest of my reccomendations are all polymer-based systems (synthetic). If you do a Carnuba wax you want to use soaps that wont strip it right the fuck off. One bonus to the Prima Banana Gloss and Hydro waxes: does not cloud/turn white on plastic trims!!!!

EDIT 2: ALSO get two buckets and a grit guard, for the love of motoring.

After washing I use this to dry anything g that's already clean, it pretty much picks up 95% of the moisture and what's left behind evaporates so leaving no streaks or anything. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00IRVF3EC/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1458910820&sr=8-2&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=Absorber&dpPl=1&dpID=51EiyTUVh4L&ref=plSrch

I have looked a couple of post/video and some people are using microfiber towel does it make a difference ? and what kind of micro fiber towel is better the sport kind or the car detailling one ?

u/FelixLeech · 1 pointr/JUSTNOMIL

Ok, perhaps compromise? Get her a whole bunch so she can use one and then put it in the laundry and she can get a fresh one?

These aren't expensive on Amazon. I use them for general cleaning at my place.

I use Optimum No Rinse with two buckets then hand dry using Opti-seal as a drying agent. It only uses four gallons of water, can be done in a garage with no mess, and yields a really really nice shine with zero scratching if you have good drying towels.

Rims. At least on my car. My rims are painted and no matter what I do or how careful I am I can't seem to get them clean without scratching them. 😔 Can't wait until I can buy a new pressure washer to help me out with that; I have to make do with a weak garden hose at the moment.

I hate cleaning windows, too, but I've bought a tool and specialized cloths to help me out a bit so it's not as frustrating anymore.

u/techdash · 2 pointsr/TeslaLounge

This drying towel is my favorite. You can dry the whole car without wringing it and it doesn’t leave water spots. Griot's Garage 55504 PFM Drying... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076DB4HQV

I’m not sure you need one of each towel. Just order a pack of eagle edgeless like these https://www.amazon.com/RAG-COMPANY-Professional-Dual-Pile-Microfiber/dp/B01CW1R8VI/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1542958711&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=eagle+edgeless&dpPl=1&dpID=5172hwdXmSL&ref=plSrch

You can use them for drying, glass, interior or anything else. Then start buying more specialized towels from there as you want too.

u/KellerMB · 1 pointr/Cooking

I got one of those packs of mechanics towels, the terry cotton ones not the paper shop towels. Then I just collect the dirty ones until I have a bunch and run them through the washing machine with a bit of bleach every week or two.

Example, not vouching for these, I buy mine at Costco: https://www.amazon.com/Towels-Commercial-Machine-Washable-Washcloths/dp/B071J27QQ3

I save the paper towels for patting surface moisture off of meats and other guaranteed-contamination tasks.

u/ElvisDimera · 1 pointr/AutoDetailing

So I guess for ONR/wax etc I would only really need 1 drying towel right?

I was gonna pick up these too, thoughts? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HLBK24R/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A1RKELVBY446LD&psc=1

I would use them for drying the wax, not the ONR. The ONR would be dryed with the waffle towel

http://www.amazon.com/Heininger-61030-CommuteMate-InstaCloth-Towelette/dp/B0013EVBGY/ is another alternative.

You may be able to find these at some types of specialty stores, but it's likely cheaper/easier to buy online.

u/dang111 · 1 pointr/AutoDetailing

Any thoughts on if the big synthetic drying towels have the potential to scratch? It's such a strange-feeling material and it makes me uneasy. This is one that I have: https://www.amazon.com/CleanTools-34942-Absorber-Synthetic-Chamois/dp/B00IRVF3EC/

For general purpose kitchen towels, I go the relatively disposable route of Surgical Towels. If you think about what they're used for, maximum absorption is very important :)

They are inexpensive and work better than any other kitchen/utility/paper towel I've ever used. They don't wear out quickly, but since they're less than 50 cents each you have the option to just throw them away if you clean up anything nasty. I toss them after soaking up a pet accident, grease, or any especially harsh cleaning chemicals.

Huck Towels Blue-Commercial -50 Piece Pack -16"x 24"- NEW 100% Cotton Super Absorbent-Lint Free-Free Shipping https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LPYYF56/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_1Lbzyb8RK7GYA

The only thing they aren't is decorative. IMO leave the decorative towels as decorations.

RE: other bath towels, they are gonna wear out or stop working well eventually, faster if you use a dryer instead of hang dry. All that lint in your dryer trap comes from somewhere - the towels are slowly disintegrating.

Unrelated pro tips: don't use fabric softener on your towels, it reduces their ability to absorb liquid. And if your bath towels start to get "sponge smell" when they're wet, wash them with 1-2 cups of vinegar instead of detergent. If they smell like vinegar after, wash them again with detergent. Don't use vinegar and detergent at the same time though (not damaging vinegar just reduces the effectiveness of detergent when combined due to pH).

I don't have sony's, but I do have the 22 amp samsungs which have a comparable internal resistance. Coil resistance plays a large part in voltage drop, and that low of resistance would have about a .5v drop on my Sentinel. The Nemesis(especially with silver plated contacts) should have a lower drop than the Sentinel, so while the voltage drop your experiencing isn't abnormal, it could definitely be improved. Does your Nemesis have silver-plated contacts? I think they all do, but I'm not 100% on that.

Get something like these or just some silver polish and a fine/microfiber cloth, and clean those contacts up. This can make all the difference in the world. I actually used a fine-grit sandpaper to polish up my brass contacts, and it went from a .8v drop to a .4v drop on the same atomizer with a full battery. I wouldn't use sandpaper on silver-plated contacts for fear of sanding off the silver, but you could use that method on solid, non-plated contacts.

If you are reading 3.3v after the drop, then that is the applied voltage, and you would that in your calculations.
