I experience a similar effect when I play Minecraft. I'm only good for about an hour before it starts to set in. If I continue to play it only gets worse.
I never have figured out any game settings to alleviate this issue. I have. however, found some remedies that help me to get my minecraft fix!
Medications like Dimenhydrinate (the brand name id Dramamine, but if you look/ask for the drug name I just listed, you can get it at half the cost from your local pharmacy) are a big help for me.
Another thing that I've found to work well for me personally are Sea Bands. These little guys are awesome. They apply pressure to a pressure point on your wrists. I don't pretend to understand why they work, but they do. It is different for each person though so they may be more or less effective for your mom. Some advice I would offer you though is if she does try them, put them on like 15-20 minutes before she plays. For me, it seemed to help more when I wore them in advance.
One last piece of advice I can offer is in regards to screen/monitor size and full-screen mode. One of the things that helps me with Minecraft when I'm not using one of the other remedies is to alter the screen mode. I have a 24" monitor that I play on so when I'm planning on playing Minecraft, I put the game in windowed mode and resize the window to about 1/2 the screen size. Having a smaller screen seems to help with how quickly the nausea sets on for me.
Minecraft is the only game in my collection that makes me sick and it drives me nuts because it's one of my favorites. I hope that my tips can help you play with your mom! I would like to add though that I'm certainly not a doctor, so take my tips with that in mind. And your mom should probably read the warnings/consult her doctor before she takes the pills.
I'm sure people have given great advice here, but, as someone with continual constipation issues, I have two recommendations: eat more fat, and find a gentler laxative.
Fat moves things along obviously.
On days when I didn't poop that day, I take cascara sagrada. Now, my mom is a health nut, and likes herbal supplements and all that. I mostly don't, but this one, man. I call it Magic Fiber. It makes me go the next day, without the awful cramping that accompanies Senna Leaf (which is what most laxatives are made from). You can also try Smooth Move Tea, which is made from senna leaf. But you can decide how strong to make it, and how much of it to drink. It can also be very gentle, though if you make it too strong or drink too much, you'll get the cramping like with the laxative pills.
Edit: Also, because I have such a problem with constipation (I actually had a hemorrhoidectomy this Spring because I've had a problem since I was a kid, and I finally couldn't take the painful hemorrhoid I'd had since I was 15), I also take a stool softener in the morning and evening. Plus a shit-ton of fiber. This is partly because of the constipation problem, and partly because I've recently started Keto. So. Yeah. Hope this all helps!
// 29 year old male • dislocated kneecap, complete ACL tear, partial MCL tear • ACL reconstruction surgery with hamstring autograft // Today marks 21 days post-op. Days 2-5 were the worst for me. Day 6 was a noticeable change and improvement; it almost felt tangible. We are all different though so you might find that your day 6 comes sooner. Because you are probably just sitting on your ass trying to occupy your brain through the boredom and pain, Ill give you a personal status update: Currently I am walking with my brace unlocked, without a limp, and doing leg raises and several strengthening exercises like a champ - I was just given the green light to unlock my brace yesterday. I can finally go up stairs reasonably well (not gathering both feet on each step), which is a huge time saver. Going down stairs is still a pain in the ass, but all of it will come with time. Also, I can now do a standing squat to about 50-60% of the 'depth' I could get to before the injury. I was just measured at 118 degrees of bend while laying on my back and sliding my foot to my butt so my flexion is getting there. The swelling is still pretty intense and there is still some bruising lingering around but I am noticing some significant improvements. I go to physical therapy twice a week and the other 5 days I do a strengthening routine at home on my own.
Recommendations: Make sure that your ace wrap is nice and loose and possibly even remove it today or tomorrow (depending on what your doc recommends). I kept my leg wrapped with the ace bandages for like 5 days post-op because of the convenience of providing a barrier between my skin and the ice machine, but the wraps can be somewhat restrictive on the circulation in your leg and not allow the swelling to escape. My leg and shin bruised and swelled up like crazy. It was bad enough to where they thought I had a blood clot and had to go in for a doppler scan; luckily I did not have a clot. The doc said it was probably due to a combination of the ace wrap, the brace and the ice machine all strapping around my leg and restricting the circulation. So I would ditch the wrap as soon as you can and just put on some sweat pants or something. Also, you are probably going to want to shower soon and I can't recommend getting something like this enough: https://www.amazon.com/Waterproof-Protector-Bandage-Watertight-Orthopedic/dp/B07FSRYT7B/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=leg%2Bcast%2Bshower%2Bbag&qid=1568924454&sr=8-4&th=1. It made keeping my leg dry so easy and I was able to shower every day without going through 20 rolls of saran wrap.
Oh and I assume you are taking some form of an opioid and havent takin a shit yet. I sampled 2 different laxatives and 1 stool softener and this one was the best: https://www.amazon.com/Ex-Lax-Strength-Stimulant-Laxative-Chocolated/dp/B000GCI8JW. It tasted good and it worked without messing with my stomach too much and made my shits the most normal out of the 3. I ate two pieces an hour or so before bed and then took my meds right before bed.
Cheers.
You're probably best using a home enema kit. Make sure it has a valve to start and stop the stream. I suggest using your shower curtain rod as the hanging location to insure gravity is working for you. The easiest way I've found is to hang the bag and then use the bathtub as a support. The position you'll want to be in is exactly the same as when you jack off onto your face. Some padding for the floor will really make this a better experience; just make sure that your padding is water resistant and easily cleaned.
It would give you the most benefit if you use coffee instead of water for your carrier. You can grab a complete enema kit from Amazon and they have excellent options for the coffee if you want one stop shopping.
> Same for amylase, where can I get that?
The easiest (not cheapest) way is probably using Beano capsules. I pressure-cooked some sweet meal animal feed to make a gruel and then added a Beano capsule. Went from thick paste to watery gruel. The enzymes are heat sensitive.
It was an experiment to make a molasses porter, with some large part of the grain bill coming from the feed store.
Homebrew supplies sometimes have them in bulk. Also places that cater to distillers but you're treading a legality line here. I've heard that people who were buying sugar in bulk for a zombie apocalypses being assumed to be making moonshine. Just don't pick up a hundred pounds of yeast and some copper line, OK?
Malt syrup from homebrew stores is often labeled "Diastatic", which should mean that the enzymes are still present and could break down other items with the remaining enzymes. This starts going down the rabbit hole of homebrewing beer, and here it's common to use malted grain (with the enzymes from the malting process) to breakdown either roasted malted grain or unmalted grain. Again, too much heat deactivates or breaks down the enzymes.
If you're using a starch and expect to break it down using one process or another, you need to cook it to beyond it's "gelatinous" point first, and then usually lower the heat so it doesn't kill the enzymes, then add your malt, or syrup or enzymes. Heat speeds up the enzymes but too much kills 'em.
The exception to reaching the "gelatinous" point is to buy the stuff that has already been processed. In the "all grain" homebrew beer culture this means instant oats or instant rice off the grocery store shelf, or specialty stuff like processed rolled rye flakes (essentially instant oatmeal made with rye instead of oats)
one more thing, I'll leave it to you to discover how the Sumerian got their enzymes to brew beer with. They used last year's starvation food (food safety net) to brew beer. If your chemistry teacher ever did a demo with a saltine cracker and an iodine test for sugar, it's about the same thing.
This ran kinda long so let me cc: u/CodyDon because he might have some interest.
One thing I would highly recommend is getting these delicious things (they sell them at most pharmacies). Only have the pills as a last resort.
EDIT: Actually I found these as well which might be better in your pocket. These are stronger and said to work better for severe nausea also.
Hi! I actually use a functionally identical product called the Sea Band (here's the amazon link if you're wondering: https://www.amazon.com/Sea-band-Original-Wristband-Adults-Pair/dp/B00DKEPFV2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1484680758&sr=8-2&keywords=sea%2Bband&th=1)
Basically they work through the little bead on the bottom of the band being pushed against a pressure point in your wrist that is meant to help with nausea (about three fingers down from your wrist, between the two tendons you can see on the bottom of your arm). I've used these for most of my adolescence and adult life for nausea, and they work quite well.
I would recommend putting them on 10-15 minutes before starting VR activity and keeping them on for as long as you feel comfortable. The one you linked looks rather uncomfortable, but material of the wristband is beside the point. If you're looking for a cheap, effective way to combat nausea, this is your golden ticket. Hope it helps!
Not pure ginger - ginger gum. Take it once you feel wierd. Take it slow - getting longer each day. Try to start with games that don't have heavy movement. Work your way up to RE7. Battlezone is like medium level, but many games don't require you to move. Superhot for example. Lots of games on the sale in the US if that is where you are. Were talking like 70 percent off some great games.

med? no. other solution, oh yeah!
Wife & MIL both get vertigo and are awful to travel with (like used the bags on flights, would spend the first day in bed afterwards)... before we found these. Acupressure version, electric version.
It looks like a watch and works like a miracle. Get the wrist band type first, see if that helps, the electronic version costs more but they also do a much better job. If you can get one on amazon and return it (if it doesn't work for you) do that.
Some science stuff.
If you have amazon prime these work just as well for me and save me money:
Kirklands Fast Acting Lactase 180 count: $0.11 per pill
Kirklands Fast Acting Lactase 750 count: $0.109 per pill
They don't really go bad so you can stock up. But you also don't really save any more buying more (although if you don't have prime you'll get free shipping on orders $35 over which the 750 count has).
Good catch! I like pink stork tea.
Kind of expensive but it seems to help my nausea.
If you can spare the money,Amazon has neausea candy drops. There's a 3-pack (21 candies to a pack) for ~$14. My mom sent them to her friend who had to go through chemo and he LOVES them.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CJZCCX2/ref=mp_s_a_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1526348084&sr=8-3&keywords=three+lollies+queasy+drops&dpPl=1&dpID=51gRF2tQz3L&ref=plSrch
For the foam you can also put Gas Drops into the bottle which helps get rid of the bubbles. I have a super gassy baby and we do this which helps especially when we're making bottles on the spot. We put them in, shake it up, give it about a minute to settle, and feed with zero bubbles.
My son likes cold formula so we stock bottles in the fridge throughout the day but when we're out and about the gas drops help immensely to rid the foam and bubbles.
You can buy Gaviscon Advance (UK version) at Amazon from various sellers, both the liquid and tablet form. It seems to vary in price quite a bit over time--if you wait you can often get a pretty reasonable price. A couple of items I've ordered in the past:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002QEPFKS
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012YJMALG
Also it is possible to order ingredients and make your own Gaviscon Advance very, very easily at a very low cost. Some instructions:
https://blog.fauquierent.net/2016/11/make-your-own-gaviscon-advance-for.html
https://www.scribd.com/document/371534788/Gaviscon-Advance-Homemade
Here are the raw ingredients I ordered from Amazon to do that:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01953G9VG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0064GZPU4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0064GZPPO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
No, those are not correct. That's the American version, which are better than any other American antacid, but not as good as the UK stuff. Here's a link:

https://www.amazon.com/Gaviscon-Advance-Chewable-Tablets-Peppermint/dp/B012YJMALG/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=gaviscon+advanced&qid=1556906317&s=amazon-devices&sr=8-5

Other people are recommending the Gaviscon Advance Aniseed liquid, which is great stuff but way too much $$ for me since I use a lot
As a chipper and occasional plugger, I've had good luck taking a couple of these once a day: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005TM1H7Y/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1497918631&sr=8-1&keywords=senna+laxative
It's cheap and 1k pills will last awhile. I never have problems now as long as I pop a few of those on days I use.
at the risk of sounding like a promoter, this stuff worked pretty well for me. might just be placebo too
https://www.amazon.com/Soothing-Supplement-Positive-Serotonin-Ashwagandha/dp/B01ETQXMM8/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=calm+supplement&qid=1563939955&s=gateway&sr=8-5

for anxiety related nausea, i got this which did wonders
https://www.amazon.com/Aromatherapy-Queasiness-Medication-Botanicals-Alternative/dp/B00V3N42H0/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=nausea+relief+sniff&qid=1563940026&s=gateway&sr=8-3
Want to know something that will blow y'all's minds? Not only do they make a chocolate flavor of the senna tea, but there is also such a thing as chocolated senna - that's right, it's basically a chocolate candy bar laxative.
You're welcome :D
I had never heard of them either...looks like I can subscribe to them on amazon though :-) http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009FEO7M4/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?qid=1396812880&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70
You could hardly call that an enema, something like this would be far more appropriate.
Enemas help you poo by loosening the stool. A cup of liquid is hardly sufficient.
We used mylicon or gripe water when our kids got really fussy with gas. Helped a lot. Also, a snug swaddled and a swing worked wonders. We also had a little bouncy chair that vibrated that was awesome at putting them to sleep.

My wife tried several things, but the one that worked was MotionEaze. It's a topical oil you apply behind your ear.
But repetition also helped. She was free of seasickness, even without any remedies, after we sailed regularly for 4-6 months.

I get vertigo pretty bad with mine, accompanied with nausea. I use these Psi bands
to take the edge off. For me they reduced both symptoms greatly, and then my meds kick the rest. Hope this helps. Feel better!
EDIT: link formatting is hard
For anyone who's lactose intolerant, the best deal I've found for lactase enzyme pills is at Costco. They're also on Amazon, for about 12 cents/pill.
Hi - Ginger pops should help with the morning sickness and having something to suck on might help curb her desire to smoke too.
Do go to the pharmacy and get baby gas drops (simethicone). Like this: https://www.amazon.com/Little-Remedies-Newborns-Infants-Children/dp/B001F0RAW0 Give the bun a dose every hour. Often helps.
I started taking two senna every evening before bed and it really helps with the pooping razorblades feeling and seeing blood on the toilet paper! Since I started it it has really made things to much smoother!

It's super cheap on Amazon (generic version)
I take it every day when I'm in Orlando and you can't even tell you have taken it other than not feeling motion sickness.
I use all three of these at the same time:
Motion eaze. Its a natural anti-motion sickness mix of oils: http://www.amazon.com/MotionEaze-Sickness-Relief-All-Natural-Topical/dp/B002D6M94E/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1462087026&sr=8-1&keywords=motion+eaze+motion+sickness
Sea bands. It puts pressure on a point on the arm to also reduce motion sickness: http://www.amazon.com/Sea-Band-Wristband-Color-Vary-1-Pair/dp/B001F731N0/ref=sr_1_4_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1462087083&sr=1-4&keywords=motion+sickness
Ginger pills.
To me, they seem to work. Now, I'm not sure if they work because I think they work or because they actually do something. In any case, it helps to reduce my motion sickness and that's what's important to me.
3)If possible could you swap stations? It might be the truck that is making you sick. Damn air suspension
5)If all else fails there are OTC medications like Dramamine, meclizine, dimenhydrinate, benadryl(ew)...
6)And always remember, treat nausea before it starts.
Edited for shitty format*
Shoot I forgot to link the product — here it is. Hope it helps!
There is an acupressure point for nausea you can press on the inside of your wrist, it is hard to explain where exactly but check out youtube. Chew a piece of fresh ginger or have ginger candy. This also helped me https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V3N42H0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AFPCR4XLW8PUN&psc=1
I need the gas drops on my baby list. I haven't gotten them yet because they were originally an add on item when I put them on my list, and I haven't had the extra money to get it. But baby is also really gassy and those would probably help.
Or any books or funkos. Because books and funkos.
yeah, true. i'm... actually feeling ill imagining it.

My wife gets motion sick and these helped her get through RE7. Titanfall might still be a bit much, but they seem to help to some degree.
This tea on an empty stomach first thing in the morning https://www.amazon.com/Pink-Stork-Tea-Constipation-Delicious/dp/B00SOT677Y
Drink lots of water, eat lots of fiber, stay active!
So I don't normally believe in stuff like this, but I swear these worked for my little brother: https://www.amazon.com/Sea-band-Original-Wristband-Adults-Colors/dp/B00DKEPFV2/ref=asc_df_B00DKEPFV2/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309802573355&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3747817070901481500&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9032475&hvtargid=pla-525343742121&psc=1
Add some Beano ;-)
Seeing this post late, but I wanted to throw this out there; I have gastroparesis, the severity of which varies from day to day. I get super, super nauseous and pukey and can't eat at all when it's bad, but there's a product called Queasy Drops that are magical. I cannot express how much these things help me, and they have ones for pregnancy, too, though I can't vouch for those as I've never used them. You can get them from the makers website or amazon. The only problem I have with them is they melt really easily, so you can't stash them in places like your car. Even putting them in your pocket can melt them sometimes. I don't care though, I buy these suckers in bulk now and have them all over my house and office at work just in case. I don't care for most of the flavors in the mixed package but you can purchase some of them separately. I always get the raspberry. Also, apologies in advance if the link is messed up, I'm on mobile and for some reason I'm having trouble with the formatting.
I dont think that it is dog medicine. I think it is a house brand version of Ex-Lax chocolate. I work at a pharmacy, and checked the ingredients, coco powder is the first listed. A dog that size is almost certainly alright after eating a relatively small amount of chocolate. I would be more worried about the laxative in them, but I'm not a vet.
Have your friend try these. Worked for my GF and over time she was able to eventually stop using them. Went from getting sick in 5 minutes to being able to play a couple hours and then only feel slightly nauseous.

They carry them at CVS/Walgreens too.
Perhaps coated in some melted Laxative Chocolate
just going to leave this here...
Supposedly you develop "VR Legs" after a while but it's never happened for me. I've been doing VR for years but there are still some games that make me feel nauseous almost immediately, mostly the ones that ridiculously only support direction keys/buttons for distance movement (so it's stupidly jerky) and don't have a teleport movement option, such as Robinson: The Journey and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.
It may also be the rendering used by some games makes me feel really ill straight away while other's don't at all. I can't directly see any reason why, but I suspect there might be something subtle enough that only affects your subconscious, like the rendered perspective being slightly off causing effects such as a slight fisheye, or the game is not matching your physical movement exactly (or maybe quickly) enough to what you're actually seeing, or some such.
