You need a "diversion safe" — that is, a hiding place that doesn't look like a hiding place. Buy one or make one.

The classic diversion safe is a hollowed-out book. They are incredibly tedious to make (you have to cut out every other page with a razor, then glue the remaining pages together) but you can buy one for a few dollars.

A 8-inch dildo is fairly large, not only in comparison to other dildos, but compared to things (money, jewels drugs) that are more typically stored in diversion safe, so if you go with a commercial safe, you'll need to buy one of the more capacious ones. I'm guessing that a fake Clorox or Ajax bottle would look out of place in your room. Besides the book-safe, you can get a hollow picture frame or false drawer.

Stash containers are your friend. They're pretty inexpensive and definitely worth it. I used to use this one when I'd do pickups (can't smoke anymore -- work). I'd throw it in with some tools and stuff in my car and it looked totally inconspicuous.

Simply stashing joints in pens is a decent last minute stash. I've done that in a pinch before and it can be really hard to tell there's anything in certain types of pens.

If you are not very disciplined with your winnings, one of these is perfect. Leave the key at home and deposit what you want to take with you

So I did a post online a while back about how to hide stuff from parents, and here's some of the stuff I included. There are a variety of hidey objects on Amazon. This hair brush safe is a good example. Or this dictionary. You can also use air vents- remove the front plate of the air vent, and you can hide stuff. You can also use a cereal box. Eat half of the cereal, lift up the plastic bag of cereal, and put your wallet in the box. Then put the cereal back on top. You can do a similar thing with your trash bin in your room, as long as you remember to keep it partly full. (Not too full that the N may empty it, but also not so empty that you can see something in the bottom.) Just keep the trash in a bag in the bin, and have your wallet in the actual bin underneath the trash in the bag. You can also buy a cheap vase and flowers from the dollar store, put your wallet inside, then cover the top with easter grass so anyone looking inside can't tell what's in it. You'll want a vase that isn't see-through, but you can always paint it if you can't find one.

I wonder if I should make a post on this subreddit about this, but I'm not sure if people would find it helpful.

If you can't get a safe or keep this other person away from you, you might want to check with the pharmacist about only filling part of the prescription at a time when you know the person is going to be around so they can't use up all your refills.
Also, you can get a number of innocuous items with secret compartments for an emergency supply. I rather like the idea of this [paracord keyfob] (https://www.etsy.com/listing/188981283/secret-compartment-paracord-key-fob?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_e-accessories-other&utm_custom1=3a79b3cd-36f5-4073-af49-6c0c47770324&gclid=CJD88-ySt80CFQQEaQodDmIFow) since it's a perfectly normal thing to have on your keys and you'd tend to have it with you.
Or maybe a tap light in your closet.

NTA Booksafe. ship it to a safe place for pickup and leave things for mom to "find" in the room still or she'll get suspicious.

Get this fake key fob that hides things inside. Put your drugs in it, and attach to ur key ring. Festival security will never get to the point of breaking open people’s key fobs to find drugs.

Is this this safe? This is /r/lockpicking , so I'm allowed to tell you that I wouldn't consider that a real safe.

Here is a similar book if anyone is interested.

Maybe hide your pills in a Book Safe?

Edit: Better link.

u/butbutmuhrussia · 15 pointsr/personalfinance

Just don't put it in your sock drawer. Put it in a safe or somewhere that a burglar wouldn't automatically look: In an envelope taped to the bottom of a drawer. In a DIY fake soup can in your cupboard, etc.

Just don't hide it so well that you forget about it!

u/solidad · 16 pointsr/insaneparents

Get a small safe or something like a Can / bottle Safe (basically a fake coke can or other item) and stash your stuff in there.

u/gopack123 · 9 pointsr/NorthCarolina

Idk looks like she was using one of these

which states that it's weighted to feel like a real can. Could just be putting cheap filler powder in there. Considering they haven't even tested the substance I think it's early to say she's guilty.

The car is in her name so she essentially owns it and can take it away at any time, and she can claim you stole it if you took it from her when you move out. Just bewcause you pay the note, doesn't mean the car is yours. The car is yours when your name is on the title, yours and yours alone.

I'd say tell her you want your $2k back, return the car, and find something on Craigslist to buy in full so you only pay car insurance. Sure the car won't be nice, but it will get you to A and B. That's the only thing that matters. I owned my first car for a year before I got rid of it for a new one, it cost me $1,200 and it was a 2001 Nissan Altima. Traded it in after a year of saving, got $200 off another car that was originally $2,400 so I only paid $2,200. Owning a car > car payments, absolutely. Gives you time to save up for something new.

In the mean time, buy a safe (I have one of these, silly as hell but it works), find a car you want, buy it, take the title to the DMV, get it transferred to your name, and lock the title away so she can't steal it and get her name on it (which is illegal, by the way). Therefore if she threatens to take your car away or takes your keys, that's essentially theft and she can get in trouble.

This car is absolutely no benefit for you whatsoever. She got the car to exert control over you. That's it.
