Super siphon! I think it's about $12 and it makes it super easy to put gas from cans into your tank! Just shake the end in the can and suddenly it starts to flow!

I also love my tablet mount I use for my tablet. I run a Samsung galaxy tab A 10.1" with back country navigator. I keep it in a mount attached to the passenger seat rail, and it holds it securely and easily view able!
Also I love my Anker 12v USB converter. It is the first 12V usb converter that I have seen that actually puts out enough power to charge my tablet and phone at the same time, and quickly!
Tracked it down...it's a fluid extractor:

I got it when I got a car that takes synthetic oil, and I love anything DIY, especially if it's saving you a ton! It will pretty much pay for itself after a use or two.
You have to put some elbow grease into pumping it, but once the oil gets going it's very easy and doesn't take too long at all! When it fills up, I'll just put the old oil in an empty oil bottle and take it to Pep Boys, which does free oil recycling. :)
No touching the drain plug or having to crawl under the car. Can use this to change all your fluids, without getting your "hands dirty". Can become best friends to all your friends/family when you loan it to them for easy oil changes lol.
I bought this one but used off kijiji. It was a great deal. Highly recommend the 7201 model, as it's container size will be big enough to extract all the motor oil.

Which is a good design and it protects from the oil pan from road debris. On most, three small torx bits and it bends enough to drain the oil easily.
Regardless, VAG recommends suction from the top as more oil is captured than with a drain only as a slight vacuum with get everything in the TSI oil cooler, whereas a drain won't necessarily. I get more out of the system (volume nearing fill capacity) with a vacuum than without.
A decent pump works wonders.

I'm more than OK with that ratio.
Buy yourself an oil extractor it’ll be the best $100 you’ve ever spent. Definitely make sure your engine is war though, if it’s not it’ll take forever to extract. The best part is that you no longer have to left the car, you can do everything from the top.
Everything but the fuel filter is fairly straightforward. If you buy an oil evacuator like this Mityvac 7201 you don't even have to get under the vehicle to change the oil, you can suck out the oil through the dipstick tube. The oil filter is of the replacable element type and is located on the front of the block towards the right, and you can remove the cap with a 39mm socket. The real issue is the fuel filter-while it's fairly easy to replace you need to purge the fuel system afterwards using VSDS and a Micro-Can cable from Ross-Tech. It's pretty much impossible to do anything advanced on a VW without this tool, so you might as well plan to go ahead and buy it.
Get a fluid evacuator plus two gallon jugs of synthetic, a 36mm socket, and a Mann oil filter and do the oil change yourself. You will save money after 2 oil changes.
It is easy as it can be.
Do a top-side oil change.
All you need is this $80 manual pump from Amazon, a new oil filter for you car, and the tool to open the oil filter housing (which depends on your car).
This is safer and much easier than going under the car. Plus you don't risk stripping your oil pan.
This won't work if your car doesn't have a dipstick (like some BMWs)
No problem. And yea they're both quick and easy to do. Heck even the oil change isn't hard, especially with one of these. Yea it's a little pricey, but totally worth it, you don't have to crawl under the car or anything. And for Oil filters I recommend Wix.

this fits right onto a plastic milk jug. Works great.
Buy a vacuum oil extractor and don't worry about either. You stick the tube down inside the dip stick tube and give the tank a few pumps and let the vacuum do all the work. They'll extract as much, if not more, oil than letting gravity pull it out of the sump plug, and you won't have to worry about messing up the sump plug or getting under the car. You also won't have a chance to get oil all over you or your driveway.
Apparently these are very good.
I just did mine (including tranny & transfer case) at 60k miles and the fluids didn't seem too bad (not sludgy or totally black). I will not be doing it every 30k.

It was not easy. We finally paid someone to weld a 10mm hex socket into the front diff drain plug as we tried everything to get that fucker out and stripped it in the process.

It will be easy next time, though.

PS This is the most awesome thing for sucking out/pumping in fluids

Its the EWK Pneumatic/Manualoil pump. Allows oil changes to be done in minutes without jacking up a low car. Extracts oil via built in hand pump or pneumatic hose through the dipstick pipe. Dont have to worry about spilling oil when transporting it for disposal either. Makes life a little more simple. No sponsored or anything, just some food for thought.

Mityvac 7201.
I've never had to take off the drain bolts on any of my cars for over 10 years; I always just mityvac out, remove filter, new filter and then add in new oil. Clean up is a breeze too.
Most Audi/vw engines have oil filters accessible from the engine bay now. So I use this
To pull oil from the dipstick tube.
Run engine to temp, extract (make sure you get it as deep in the pan as you can and don’t stop until you hear the empty cup/straw slurping noise) change filter and fill. Don’t overfill. Put in a bit less than it calls for, run engine to temp and check dipstick fill more as needed.
I also suggest to get a magnetic oil pan bolt and put a good size magnet on the oil filter. This collects any micro filings and keeps them from being abrasive in the oil.
But I can change my oil now in 15 mins with no mess, no spills and no problems. Easily saves me $100 per.
I suggest motul oil for German cars, make sure it meets your engines code standard. Like vw 503.1 etc.
But bobistheoilguide is a great resource.
I'd recommend either of these -

Less than $20 for a simple siphon pump with hose.

https://www.amazon.com/CATUO-Evacuator-Universal-Extractor-Transfer/dp/B07G9DS596/ref=asc_df_B07G9DS596/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241954052572&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17841233677281720290&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031600&hvtargid=pla-600693767268&psc=1
You don't, you go through the dipstick tube. Only works on some vehicles depending on the baffling in the oil pan. I'm able to use this on my wife's Pacifica but it doesn't work on my Focus.
Since it's not leaking you could use a vacuum that allows you to change the oil by sucking the old oil out the fill tube. These are used a lot on boats where you can't get to the drain plug. I'd be a bit worried about that stripped plug developing leaks though. The proper fix would be to replace the pan - on my own car I'd just leave it alone unless it started leaking though.
Been a mechanic all my life.
It kills me to pay someone to work on my car if I can do it.
Forget the ramps and get this. Stick the tube down the dipstick tube, pump or connect to air hose, and viola!
You may still need ramps to get to the oil filter, but Mercedes has spoiled me; the filter is on top.
Makes life so much easier and less messy!
I have a 6L fluid extractor with no pressure release valve. How can I just extract 1L, and not all of my engine oil? Can I just pull the hose up? This is the product: https://www.amazon.com/Powerbuilt-647570-Oil-Fluid-Extractor/dp/B00OCEGONC. Reason I’m doing this is the owner’s manual says to overfill 1L at track and remove before driving home.
Ya'll need some vacuum oil extractor action.
Jam it down the stick hole, pump it, walk away, come back in 5 minutes and you're done. Ya, ya, it doesn't get everything, but it's not like that hot mess.
