> know the Virb can't charge off the .5 amp

That's critical information you didn't tell us before! Dynamo hubs produce around 3W at 5V, meaning you've an operating current of ~600mA, and I'm afraid this won't be enough to charge the device! :(

The USB-werk has a tiny cache battery inside which will only partially charge the Virb's 2000mAh battery. The E-work can charge an external battery pack over the course of a day, but that will only make enough power to charge the Virb twice if you're lucky. Needless to say you should forget about those.

It seems the Virb needs 2A to record and charge the battery at the same time, and outside of a desert that's only really doable using mains-charged USB battery packs. Each one will charge your Virb's battery ~5-6 times depending on their efficiency. Garmin quotes a run-time of 3 hours from a full charge, so best case each packs will keep your Virb running for 15 hours+

Your best option would be to buy 2-3 of these battery packs, and charge them over night using something like this that can fill them at their 2A fast-charging current. If you plan to be around an electrical outlet every 2-3 days then it's workable and the best solution. Bonus is that it comes at a much lower price!

It sounds like you are having a great Monday! That's awesome since I think those are so rare ;P

Giving some price variation, I have my eye on these headphone cases and this stethoscope for school! I have a billion of those little earphones and they always get torn or tangled in my backpack, purse, or drawers. Also, I'd like a stethoscope for school. I think my boyfriend is hoping I delay getting one so he doesn't have to be my guinea pig ;P

Thanks for the contest! Keep having a great week! I hope it bleeds over all the way through Friday!

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this sub and I just got myself a pair of Sony MDR-XB950BT's. One thing I didn't really consider is a case for my headphones though (my other pair of Sony headphones came with one). Is there a Way to find a good case, specifically that'll fit my 950's? I'm worried that most of the ones out there will be too small since the 950's are pretty big, they barely fit in the case for my other Sony headphones. I'd also prefer a hard case if possible, but a soft case works too. Any thoughts? So far from preliminary searching, I like this Geekria case and this SLAPPA case. I kind of prefer the SLAPPA, but I want to make sure my headphones would fit since the earpieces are pretty big on the 950's. Thanks all!

Google Voice number is a good idea. I had my old desk phone setup as another phone in GV, however the problem was that due to working the night shift, and not a M-F job, there was no easy way to have GV toggled on and off for it. Plus I was always on a separate line (it was a tier-two IT callcenter job) so I couldn't always answer it when I was working, especially not on a weekday.

For the booster situation, any postpaid customer should be able to get a T-Mobile LTE Cel-Fi for free (maybe with a $25 deposit). Stick the Network Unit ("Window Unit" as T-Mobile calls it) in whatever part of your floor has the best reception (use your phone's About > Status screen to get your current signal strength in -dBm. Higher the number (closer to 0), the better the signal). Then stick the Coverage Unit either in the center of the building, or closest to your area as possible while still within range of the Window Unit.

Lastly for the headset, I highly recommend a Plantronics Voyager Legend. It's an excellent Bluetooth headset with the best quality I've seen, and can easily last through a whole day of talking or streaming audio. It supports wideband audio, meaning you can take advantage of T-Mobile UMTS/VoLTE/Wi-Fi Calling's HD Voice quality. They also make a "CS" model which is the same thing, but has a Bluetooth base station you can hook up to your desk phone for a little over $100 more. Whichever of the two you go with, I also recommend picking up one accessory: the charging case. It lets you store and charge the headset using its built-in battery two or three times (meaning you can easily have 18 hours of talk-time, days of standby time, without having to plug anything in) and the charge case will charge itself and the headset at the same time using a standard micro-USB cable (the headset uses a proprietary cable sort of like an Apple Magsafe adapter).

I was one of those who also thinks it’s really dumb to buy a case for a case but in this case (haha) i took a chance based on wanting extra precaution from them popping open if dropped or in a bag ect. This is a winner in every way. Very simple and pratical. Side folds down so it’s simple to open yet solidly holds the lid closed. All holes line up great and wireless charging works fine. Lots of colors. I didn’t use the keychain hook but it’s there if you want it.

I've had my set since March and use these, and I travel almost weekly on planes. It's a little bit of a tight fit, but has good protection and is a lot smaller than the huge ones like you listed. Fits in my backpack fine. If you want I can provide pictures of how it fits once I get back to my hotel in a bit

I have this case and I'm pretty sure I can fit a Tile in there. I have my case at home so I'll try it once I get home.

u/newhoa · 2 pointsr/BuyItForLife

I was looking at this hardshell Porta Pro case earlier. It's pretty cheap, and I like a hard case instead of the soft bag. Definitely would improve the BIFLness if you're carrying it around a lot, especially loosely in a bag or something. I usually keep them in my book bag myself, where they end up getting squished around a lot (even then, they still haven't been damaged... though it is irresponsible).

u/Gee_Golly · 1 pointr/DJs

I've got this one and love it. It fits my HD25's, which are similar shape/size to yours, and it has a side with a mesh pocket to fit your USBs. It's not bulky either which I really like:

u/JDabney24 · 2 pointsr/iPhoneX

I got that same accessory kit from amazon too! Love it! Especially being that it is less than $10 for QOL accessories to go with your air pods. Here is the link if interested: 7 in 1 airpods accessories

I know it seems silly when most ear buds are like 10 dollars, but something like [this] (http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Innovations-Nest-Earbud-Case/dp/B00CBKBD44?th=1&psc=1) keeps them in good shape for a long time.

u/thereal-jackbauer · 8 pointsr/airpods

Not sure what you exactly mean by travel case, but I have this one. It's a bit pricey for what it is ($20), but the keychain part is good quality and the cover has protected my airpod case a few times from drops. It doesn't cover the top of the case though.

The brand I guess is Easyworld, here is the link:

Yea my coworker also got one from ESR, cuz their covers were only available when Airpods Pro was released. same problem, the lid cover comes off. cannot stay. Mine so far is pretty good. fits very well. Probably will get a black one for my boyfriend.

u/silly_world · 2 pointsr/tamagotchi

I just ordered this from amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074GZPTRF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Measure the 4U and it should fit pretty snugly.

Looks like this is the only option at the moment. Catalyst makes a case for the original Airpods that I love and I'm going to personally wait to see if they drop a case. Until then I'm simply carrying them in a little cloth pouch to prevent the case from getting scratched up and dirty

The printed logo is kinda dumb but the size is perfect.

Just in case anyone finds this post while searching for similar info, I ended up buying this case and it's fantastic:

they're real, just not made by apple but by third party chinese manufacturers.

here's one on Amazon by a (probably) Chinese company called CHEEDAY

u/b1e · 1 pointr/audiophile

I got this one on Amazon. Not super fancy but durable and fits the Dac/amp, cables, etc. and easily fits in a backpack.

u/echristoperj · 1 pointr/airpods

Ordered these a few weeks back when it leaked, and they arrived today along with the AirPods Pro. Nice fit and covers the case completely.

Maybe something like this? You can use the mesh pocket for your lightning dongle.

u/Gnorris · 1 pointr/assholedesign

The product is real. The text about eyebrows has probably been added by someone sharing the pic.

u/DSWBeef · 2 pointsr/samsung

I use this one was linked about a month back and I really like it

u/9h4nt0m · 1 pointr/iphone

I use this. Its a cool little case for headphones. It's always better to keep your headphones in a case to keep from damaging the cables (and avoiding the tangles). Really easy to put them away.

u/nick_martin · 3 pointsr/airpods

Like this one ?

I use this, works pretty well.

Just look around on Amazon. I got a case and 2 sets of 'Wings' for under $10. Here's an example AirPods Case 7 In 1 Airpods... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078YY83Z5?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

This one off of amazon - link

u/arinbell · 1 pointr/samsung

I got it from Amazon.

u/Degru · 1 pointr/headphones

TBH something like this would be better because the one I have is made out of shitty cheap plastic and is falling apart, and also earbuds with inline remotes don't fit, and neither does anything larger than the holes.

Headphone/gun/camera/whatever case with foam inside you cut to the shape of your controller

I've seen people at locals with these. The one I linked is probably too big and too expensive, but thats the idea.

u/tenz0r24 · 2 pointsr/airpods

I hated carrying an extra item in my pocket too, even my keys. So I've been using a carabiner clip to hold my keys for a while now. Once I got the AirPods, I ended up buying this below:

Qladcase for AirPods Hard Carrying Case, Compact Earbuds Holder MP3 Bluetooth iPod Earphones Earbuds Apple Headphones, Zipper Enclosure Mesh Mini Pocket Perfect for Accessories (Black/Red)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MYLR8QS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_YqJJzb8GMGTJS

It has its own carabiner attached to the case, and I just have it clipped with my keys, and this helps limit my pockets to just my iPhone and slim wallet card case.
