It's spandex, so as long as you get a size that fits you, it will stretch comfortably and give you a full range of motion. Bodysuits are some of the most comfortable cosplays to wear!
I actually took my own advice and bought this belt on Amazon (plus two thigh holsters) for my Tigress cosplay. It would work just as well for Nightwing! I definitely want to do a fem!YJNightwing sometime in the near future, so I'll definitely use it for that.
If $25 is out of your price range for a quick costume, there's also this $15 utility belt.
Foam armor is an awesome idea, though with the costume due in just over a week, it might be tough if you don't have experience making foam armor. Look up some foam construction tutorials, and if you think you have time swing by JoAnn/Harbor Freight/Lowe's/Home Depot to get materials.
Oh, good point on the theater not approving of the escrimas. x) Better safe than sorry in that case.
Yes! I always tell people, if your cosplay doesnt have pockets, it could probably use a good utility belt! Like
This one or That one for a super hero/villain, I have This Brown one that i wear with my knight armor.
not having pockets BLOWS. especially at a Con where you want quick access to Phone/Camera/Money
I used 3/4" blue sleeping pad as the foam in shoulder straps and a hip belt. If you don't need a lot of padding, it'd be easier to sew through/around 3D mesh (possible ventilation) or thinner 1/4" foam or a yoga mat. 500D Cordura is extremely durable and affordable fabric, 250D would be lighter and thinner. Using ripstop nylon would be another option (Joann's fabrics has some) and lighter weight, but not as tough as Cordura. Note that Cordura and different nylons aren't 'breathable' but I prefer not having them soak up sweat.
Check http://www.rockywoods.com/ and http://www.seattlefabrics.com/
How I made straps (two cordura layers around blue foam)
3D Mesh Belt (cordura outside, 3D mesh inside)
[edit]
Look at these for inspiration (or buy one) this, this, this, etc. You can also search for 'removable hip belt' patterns. Make sure you leave enough space in the front to cinch the belt (so foam only covers back and hips)
You can spend a lot less for basically the same thing. I have a few of those inexpensive bags and they do just fine for a range bag. If you want something a bit larger to carry all your gear look at one like this. I have two of those and they hold up great.
I have this belt, and it has held up fine for over a year. Any similar belt will work just fine and be comfortable for USPSA and 3 gun. I use it for both.
However, these belts would not be ideal for a handgun/carbine class. Not that it wouldn't work, but you would want more of an operator belt for that situation, like the ronin tactics, t-rex arms, crye, etc.
USPSA competitions are quite different from carbine classes. USPSA belts tend to be more bulky because you want speed, operator belts tend to be a bit slimmer when it comes to mag pouces, etc, to keep you more agile. The competition belts will work fine, but you will quickly realize you need the right tool for the right job.
Midway Pro is the standard. I have two of them.
Enough padding, good width, stakes down, rolls up without a lot of messing around.
I also have a Bob Allen mat that I caught a deal on. It works well too. Buckles instead of velcro is nice, but it's a little narrower than the Midway Pro. Lighter color helps in the sun.
thanks :) got it on Amazon here is the link https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B07QHSP2CP/ref=pe_3044141_189395771_TE_dp_1
Hmm... Since this is hypothetical, does this include stuff that's currently out of stock? What about services bought online?
Anyway... Unlimited budget, full loadout, external upgrades only.
Going to build this to last basically the rest of my life.
Start off with a Rare Arms SR-25 shell ejecting GBB rifle, because of F*(%ing Awesome. Hopefully, this can be tuned up as a DMR later. Rifle will be Cerekoted in ATACS FG
Add 50 spare magazines (only going to carry about seven or eight at a time... but I want enough to go through a day without reloading shells on the field). Magazines will be Cerekoted in ATACS FG (Or I could just make do with 12)
And about 7,000 boxes of spare cartridges. Yes, that's about 105,000 shells. I'm going to be picking them back up (eventually), but I'm likely to lose a few here and there... So I'd basically get an entire production run... (Or I could make do with a less ridiculous 24 boxes and actually police my brass)
Acetech Lighter BT (Also Cerekoted in ATACS FG)
Now for an optic.
AN-ThOR 4 1.5-15x Thermal Scope with QD mount and X-Trac bluetooth remote. Still looking for a compatible killflash for it... so add a spare or two, or enough for a custom machined 76mm OD killflash.
Now here's where I really start getting out of your box... These will be self-assembled:
Uniform:
Tactical Concealment MAMBA Suit in ATACS FG
Tactical Concealment Sniper Boonie in ATACS FG
Tactical Concealment Boomslang Alpha Kit in HDAM FG
8x Tactical Concealment Stalk Grass (2 in each color)
2x Tactical Concealment 6-pack of 1 Ply jute
2x ea. Tactical Concealment Dye Combo Packs in brown and green
6x Tactical Concealment Textured Ghillie Leaves
Lowa Zephyr GTX Hi TF Boots in sage
Condor Gen 2 Battle belt in ATACS FG w/ Cobra Belt in Multicam
Templar's Gear 4pt. H-Harness in ATACS FG
4x Flyye M14 double mag pouch in ATACS FG
3x Templar's Gear Covered Pistol Mag Pouch in ATACS FG
Sidearm:
Novritsch SSX-23, w/ suppressor, Olight Valkarie, 4x CO2 mags, hard-mounted Trijicon RMR (w/ Strike Industries Jellyfish sight protector), and DTD Holster, all Cerekoted in ATACS FG
Well... I think that's the lot. Mind blown yet?
Now for the fun part... total spent.

Think I'm going to keep this list, just in case I hit the lottery.
Anything that essentially can't be easily ripped open or apart and is locked in some way counts under California law. A backpack or duffel bag with a small padlock though the zipper pulls will do just fine.
If you're looking for a pistol case there are lots of options. LA Police Gear sells a nice cheap pistol case for about $10. Maxpedition has some decent cases too, as well as some that are better for more discrete transportation.
This is probably the most affordable option: https://www.amazon.com/BLACKHAWK-CQB-Riggers-Belt-1-5-Inch/dp/B004T15ZOC/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1541871769&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=blackhawk+instructors+gun+belt+1.5&dpPl=1&dpID=31XqOWHZZHL&ref=plSrch
The best one I've tried has been the beltman gun belts. They're not cheap though (think $100ish but very high quality leather belt that can easily be used as a dress belt whenever needed).
Looks like a belt with velcro.
Something like this.
I'm a fan of the Propper Reversible or the 5.11 Reversible.
The reversible nature of them makes them about twice as thick as a normal TDU style belt, so they're rather rigid and make for a nice "not-a-gun-belt-gun-belt"
I've been using one of these for years and really love it. I actually just had to replace my first one because it was so worn down.
My setup is a keyfob like you're explaining plus a few keys in an orbitkey both attached to a large keyring. I clip the keyring to the keyper on my belt and if I need to, I tuck the keys into my backpocket so they don't rattle around but are still attached to my belt.
https://smile.amazon.com/Maxpedition-1703B-Gear-Keyper/dp/B00J27KEFS
I just got this one and I really like it. Lots of compartments, the large center one has a movable divider, and its sturdy. $40 on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Bulldog-Cases-X-Large-Deluxe-Pistol/dp/B002LTLXB8
Naw, [this] (https://www.amazon.com/Holster-Multi-Use-Photographers-Artists-Hunters/dp/B0112QKS6Q/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1526184330&sr=8-3&keywords=gadget+holster) is what you need, my friend. Half the price, twice the cool.
Although I should warn you: I've wanted one of these for like nine years, and three different women in my life have each told me that it is completely unacceptable for me to wear one.
If anyone wants a belt like alyx studios but isn't willing to drop a leg, three fingers and a 1/4 of your soul, try this alternative https://www.amazon.com/Fairwin-Tactical-Military-Webbing-Delicate/dp/B0734HBDYP/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1
I just copped and at around $29, you can't go wrong with it
Maxpedtion makes some good ones. They can be expensive but their stuff is tough as nails and worth it.
http://www.amazon.com/Maxpedition-1803-Cuboid-Medium/dp/B004H48JFS
Here are some cat ears, I would just remove the bows/bells, they're also the same color as Morgana's. Black on the outside, white on the inside.
Here is a cat tail with a white tip, like Morgana's tail.
And here is a utility belt similar to what Morgana uses.
If you're also looking for a mask, I found this too.
I think they're technically called cobra belts. Errolson's modeled Acronym pants while wearing Bagjack belts. There are cheaper versions out there, like this one, so look around.
with this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Adjustable-Security-Tactical-Military-Equipment/dp/B01EMVZZ16/ref=sr_1_55_sspa?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1505778844&sr=1-55-spons&keywords=green+molle+pouch&psc=1 i was thinking of getting two of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/MOLLE-Pouches-Water-resistant-Multi-purpose-Horizontal/dp/B01F3F8FBC/ref=pd_bxgy_200_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=ZPBGWMWZV62JF1Z3ZQ0T but the thing is i need a MOLLE pouch for the back as well, but am not sure which one to get; possibly a slightly larger one ;
You can get cheaper cobra buckle belts on Amazon for as low as $18. The problem with cheaper belts is when you load them they crinkle and bend but I don't imagine it will do so with a battle belt around it.
The other possibility is something like Bianchi Patroltek, full hook-n-lop belt which may also link with your battlebelt.
https://www.amazon.com/Bianchi-Nylon-Liner-SAFARILAND-Black/dp/B000VOOR72
Here is the link for the belt itself on amazon:

It's a bit harder (but that's good) because there are a few conditions. It's good that you have a lot of conditions. That way it's easier for people to recommend a bag that really fits you. I think there are a few that could come up, but would cost in excess of $300. For example the minaal. Let me try to summarize your conditions and see if I have it right:
If you don't mind tactical bags, you can combine a 5.11 rush 24 (37L capacity) with a condor hipbelt = £113 in the UK. You can probably find them both cheaper in the US.
5.11 Rush 24 (£90 GBP): https://www.amazon.co.uk/5-11-ACKAM112-Tactical-RUSH24-Backpack/dp/B00EKJ0HMS
Condor 241 Generation 2 battle belt (£23 GBP): https://www.amazon.co.uk/CONDOR-241-002-S-Battle-Belt-Black/dp/B00AOCFPR2
Combine them using this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lf0C8k2pB8
I work at a university unarmed. I wear this. I carry a flashlight, radio, gloves, a tourniquet, and keys (I am extremely under equipped for what I do). I prefer having a belt. It's a pain to carry all that stuff in the pockets.
I've never received any negative comments about the belt. I think It helps with command presence. If you look like you should be in charge people will treat you that way. I think it gives a more professional look. I have run into the issue of people assuming I am armed. It hasn't caused any real trouble yet, but I don't like people assuming I am armed when I am not. It puts me in more danger.
I'd say look at everyone around you. If they are wearing belts then go for it. If no one is wearing a belt the don't do it. You will look weird if you are the only one wearing a belt.
