I have a CHEAP water pipe adapter for people who can source a single part. I actually use this with my regular PVHES stems, saving me the need to buy a GonG version (i have a normal gong one). I found the tubing I am using at a home health care store, but the linked stuff would be exactly the same.

Basically, if you take some 1/4" ID tubing that is food grade/medical safe you can cut off a small bit and put it over the end of the solo stem. here is a picture of the stem and the latex tubing bit I'm using..

As you can see, they are exactly the same width. The standard arizer solo stem actually fits a 14mm Glass on Glass joint pretty well by itself, but with the rubbery tubing around it, it just gives a better fit with a little give to it.

To get it on, just pull it over the end of the stem. It can take a little learning to get the hang of it, but I can pop them on and off quite easy after some practice. When it is done, it should look like this.

From there, it should fit nicely into a 14mm glass joint. The curved part where the tube makes the stem wider ensures you get a nice airtight seal. You can get sizing adapters if you need, or the PVHES stems come in 18mm if you don't have a 14mm pipe. Here's a final picture of hte finished idea

Hope it helps!

Sorry, I missed your initial question, but here's a few tips I learned:

  • Get a miter saw if you don't have one already. It's expensive, but a godsend.

  • Home Depot wood will not be straight. Accept that you'll have to make adjustments to make up for it.

  • If you use a soft wood like I did (pine), use Wood conditioner. Trust me.

  • Get samples and test out your stain in terms of color choice, #of applications, length of time, and how heavily you wipe (lol)

  • Sand at least up to 220 before staining, it's much more even that way. Also, research "water popping". I think it helped me a lot.

  • If you're like me, and have to assemble/glue the collar together before staining, get wipe on poly. It requires more layers, but it helps get a nice smooth finish. I personally did 2 layers of poly, then sanded with 0000 steel wool.

  • If you're like me, your miters will suck, so grab some wood filler and apply prior to staining.

  • I have an upper "lip" on my keezer, which, if I had to do again, would be to increase from 1/4 to something like 3/4 or 1 inch.

  • Sand WITH the grain - ask me how I know...

  • I would not order this beer line again: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074D9YBT1/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 it's cheap (i used it for my water line), but good god it's frustrating as hell trying to get the 1/4 barb in that. I did get some thick-walled tubing in hopes that it makes for a more insulated line, but only time will tell.

  • I did MFL connections on almost everything (except the regulator connection) and I like flexibility it offers - knowing how many times I'd have to change it out because I screwed something up.

  • IMO, spring for the dual body regulator, or some kind of ability to set multiple pressures. This can come in handy.

  • If you can, create it so you can keep the CO2 tank outside the keezer. It's easier to deal with and leaves you more room. Even if you just run tubes through the collar instead of using a bulkhead like I did.

  • If you go the MFL bulkhead route, make sure to get the nylon flare washers. Some MFL connections (like Gas/liquid QDs) have the plastic already molded on it, so you don't need it. But others (like the mfl bulkhead) do not and will not seal. You'll end up waiting for them to come from Amazon like I did.

  • When it comes to installing the Shanks, the rubber washer goes between the shank and the tail piece, NOT between the nipple/MFL connection and the Beer Nut. Ask me how I know....Actually, I'll just tell you. It results in not getting a seal and leaking all day until your keg is sitting in about 4-6 inches of water, which also spills out of the keezer and onto the floor. Luckily, it was just water.

  • People will recommend using Oetiker clamps. I am torn on whether or not they are actually necessary if you've sized the barbs/hoses right. And holy hell are they a bitch to remove if you clamped tightly. For one, I had to break out my 2ft long bolt cutter.

  • Foam board was a good choice for insulation - very easy to work with if you use a sharp exacto knife.

That's all I got for now.

I've also hooked it up to a 10" beaker bong using this whip tubing from Amazon paired with these adapters from DHgate.

The compactness of the honeybird bubbler is the best part, fits right in my Pelican case with my gear.

I hear great things about the TAG Hydrotube, been wanting to try that out as well.

Puffitup has a couple options I have read positive things about and have considered going with as well. PLus they always have 15% off anything on their site + free shipping just use code "PUFFEDUP"

Scope 14mm bubbler (similar to sneaky pete tube)

Sipper Bubbler Mouthpiece (14mm & 18mm options)

Ok, I'm going to go on a bit of a tangent, but I swear I'm headed somewhere.

Here in the US, especially in the South, we have a fast food restaurant called 'Sonic'. Sonic is a drive-in (like what was common in the 50's), where you pull into a stall and order from an intercom. Now, it's widely accepted that Sonic has the best ice. People that love Sonic's ice have their own FB page, and Sonic has even started selling their ice by the bag at many restaurants. The type of ice they sell is pellet ice. (FYI, While searching for Sonic Ice, I came across this at-home icemaker.)

What I'm suggesting is more of a DIY pellet ice. You can get food-grade plastic tubing from Amazon for $9 in the US. Plug one end, fill with water, and freeze. After it's frozen, remove from the fridge, move it around to break up the ice, and dump it out (some air input may be required to force it out). Then enjoy your pellet ice.

This video does a good job illustrating the basics.

The key is getting the components to fit as tightly as possible so you don't need to use glue. The 1/8" ID airline tubing seems to fit most Ety models well.. Then pick your favorite earplug material for softness and NR rating.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PSX6ZV2?psc=1

The key is getting a round hole of the correct size in the foam earplug, getting the earplug cut to length properly, and fitting the whole thing over the sound canal of your Ety drivers. There's no fancy tool required, you can use anything from a sharpened metal tube to a soda straw or coffee stirrer. The key is to get a properly centered hole that grips the airline tubing and will fit comfortably in your ear.

u/fulloffantasies · 1 pointr/AskRedditAfterDark

For any lurkers who might be interested in exploring this more:

ejaculating dildos often come with the type of syringes you're describing, you can buy them individually on Amazon, too without all of the medical ends & attachments and with a thicker exit hole to accompany the tubing that goes through ejaculating dildos. Here's a link to a solo 100ml syringe with the tubing so you can explore that particular section of syringes: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J26U3R8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

A small one could hold a couple shots of cum, easily. I use this 100ml one for pee-fetish stuff. Liquid always looks like it's got a greater volume than it actually does when it's outside of the container.

u/Faust5 · 8 pointsr/microgrowery

Here's the album with descriptions.

Parts list:

  1. Submersible aquarium pump. This way, I'm using electricity to pump water upwards, and don't need to elevate my water tank like in a Blumats system.
  2. Pipe fitting to attach a manifold to the pump. I got one at my local hardware store, but I think this is the same thing.
  3. 3/8" tubing to connect the pump to the manifold.
  4. A kit with a bunch of 1/4" tubing to actually deliver water to the plants.. You could probably do it cheaper if you knew exactly which components you needed to buy, but I didn't so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  5. Manifold. This takes the water that comes from my pump and splits it into up to 8 1/4" lines to deliver to plants.
  6. 5-gallon bucket. I already had one for vacuuming up my water, but you can get one for like 5 bucks at Home Depot.

Total cost: ~$60. Not having to pH, add nutes, add calmag, etc. individually to like 10 individual cans of water: priceless!

Handle - I picked this material because its 316L Stainless steel, out of all the metals it seems like its the "safest" to smoke from and it feels nice. Out of all the choices in dimensions I picked this one with something close to 3/8" inside diameter. I tried looking for one that had a decent wall thickness which this one did so I could get that heavy sturdy feel.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FOV0MS/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Hose - silicone tubing; I tried finding the cheapest one without sacrificing quality. OD is the same as the steel tubing so stretching this over should not be a problem.

Not sure how this will turn out, I haven't purchased any of it yet, I figured I have the weekend to make adjustments and to see if I can find a better deal from reputable vendors and/or make adjustments to what to use.

So something like this? Including shipping, Makerbot wants $35 for two tubes (since a 2x needs two), so 100 feet of the stuff from Amazon is a better deal and I can have a few hot spare tubes to make filament changes go easier.

u/dabluebunny · 3 pointsr/arduino

Alright, The wood, nuts, bolts, screw, L brackets, plastic, plexi-glass, wire, air compressor, duct work reducer (to create funnel), and pail can all be bought at a hardware store outlet. (I had most of those all on hand)

Everything else

Pneumatic cylinder -crusher 25$

loading cylinder 30$

Solenoids 20$

6mm quick connect fittings 15$ you may need to order a converter or adapter to fit the crushing cylinder. I think its 1/4" fittings, so you could order those too but be sure to check

6mm Pneumatic hose 12$

6mm T splitter 6$

Air Pressure Regulator 10$ use to regulate the air to the loading piston as it runs at a lower psi/ can be slowed down some as well.

Shut off valve 6$

Quick connect to airline 6$ What you need may be different. Depending on your set up.

Arduino Uno 15$

12V Power supply 7$

12V to 9V 6$

158$ + construction materials that shouldn't cost more than 50$

Note: Some of this may be found else where for cheaper, but at least you know what you are looking for. Also I rounded everything up.

Let me know if this helps at all.

Edit: Its also helpful to have someone who can weld, so that cost has to be factored in as well. I traded work for work.

I can only assume there is some "external" sleeve around the RCA cable(s). PVC tubing perhaps?](https://www.amazon.com/Small-Parts-Clear-PVC-Tubing/dp/B003TJ9YPQ)

Yes, cooler as a mash tun. My setup is:

I did not bother with insulating the lid of the cooler. I simply place a long piece of aluminum foil down onto the mash. Works perfectly.

u/triple-double · 5 pointsr/apple

Same problem! One of mine loves Apple wires. Magsafe, Lightning -- everything!

Here's what I did. For Magsafe I bought this and cut it lengthways with sharp scissors. I then slipped the cable in it and wrapped the whole thing with this, circling the whole thing with electrical tape every six inches or so.

A few notes. The clear tubing I only paid $20 for so I'm not sure why it's so much now. You could probably get by with the second tubing alone if need be (and your cat isn't super clever).

If your cat isn't as bad as mine, they do sell bitter apple sprays you can rub on the wires that will make the wires taste objectionable to the cat.

Good luck!

How about a section of bicycle inner tube well-sealed at both ends that swells up when liquid enters it. Maybe keep the valve stem on it but pull the valve core and rig a section of tubing to the stem. The tubing is filled with water and threaded under the actor's clothes so it fills the inner tube just from the action of gravity. He (I feel safe assuming it's a he) has a tubing clamp in his pants pocket and when the moment comes nervously puts his hand in his pocket to adjust himself, but in actuality is releasing the clamp and allowing the water to drain into the prosthetic penis. This movement will also draw the audience's attention to what is happening, heightening the effect.

u/Spidergawd68 · 1 pointr/techtheatre

If you're looking to make it flexible, boat bilge pump hose works quite well.

Edit - it's pretty darn cheap, too, and you can get it at Home Depot if you need it right away.

u/mikem417 · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

If you really wanna get crafty.. order some water rings, plastic disc with spikes that go down around the base of the plant and disperse the water around evenly. You can connect 1/2” tubing and then You can connect the end of each tube to a funnel and pour your water straight through. One of my buddies does it this way and it works wonders.

  • My most recent was actually my favorite. When I turned 40, both my fiance and I were unemployed and had lost family members. The birthday ball got dropped and no one did anything. And I'm a giant baby about my birthday and this was a huge milestone. I was devastated.

2 years later; I had no idea anything was going to happen - just a local pool tournament. All my friends showed up, we had pizza, cupcakes, the fiance DJd, the tournament was great. Then he gave me a $100 Visa gift card AND a huge emerald necklace. I was so surprised!

Replacement power supply cables can be hit or miss as far as quality and compatibility. One misplaced pin can destroy a component like your motherboard or graphics card. Testing them with a multimeter is highly recommended before subjecting your build to their mercy.

If it's your first build and you're not 110% confident in your ability to evaluate a replacement cable, I would suggest something like a white spiral wrap for aesthetics.

IDK as far as damage, but I imagine you'll get some slipping at the very least. Very well could damage it, but I have no idea.

Worse, draining it will probably be a pain in the ass with no drain plug. You'll end up with something like this to suck it out.
