Sure! There are a ton of great keychain accessories out there but the criteria for mine are all items must:

1: Be < 2" (Preferably 1.5")

2: Fit in my pockets comfortably (jeans)

3: Be used at least once every 3 months
(Ambu Pouch excluded)

Accessories used Most - Least

The Freekey Sytem is the foundation of the keyring and is one of those products that is so elegant in its simplicity and functionality that it seems like it should have been invented years ago.

The SOG Straight Edge Key Knife comes sharp and has held an edge pretty well over the last few months. With its tiny blade it's not going to replace your Ka-Bar anytime soon but I can almost garuntee that you will use it more frequently.

The Swiss+ Tech 6 in 1 Utility Key coupled with The Infora Key Multitool seems to be gaining ground to overtake the SOG Key Knife as top tool in the line up with flat and Phillips screwdriver heads, bottle opener, and serrated blade.

The Streamlight Nano LED Flashlight is an awesome addition to the gang and probobly the one that has saved my ass the most, there are too many times I've wasted time looking for a light source in the dark.

The 2.0 64 GB Kingston Data Traveler SE9 USB drive. Reasonable speed coupled with great durability. The cast in keyhole eliminates the possibilty of losing the USB from a weak tether and defiantly holds a perminent place in my top 5 keychain accesories. Along with its basic utility I keep a file named "If Found: Reward" on it with my information in case I lose my key ring.

The True Utility TelePen telescoping keychain pen is one of those items that doesent get the everyday recognition the others do but is totally fucking clutch when you do need it. I owe a couple side projects I've picked up to this pen, partly because of the writing aspect but more from it as a talking piece.

The InCharge Ultra Portable Charging Cable is a cool little accessory that I thought would get the boot initially but saved my ass when I was in transit and my buddy only had an Apple cable with his charger.

The True Utility FireStash Keyring Lighter is the only item on the list that I haven't actually "needed" but will probobly keep anyway because fire is such a basic necessity and if I ever DO need it I'm probobly going to name my kids True and Utility.

The Ambu Res-Cue keychain CPR mask rounds out the list but might be the most important. Along with it being being a valuable lifesaving/self protection asset it's also super useful for locating my keys. I once read something about humans being able to see more shades of red than any other color and that our minds are geared to "ook out for it. Whether that's true or not it's always the first thing I see when I misplace them and because of its shape it stops my keys from going between the seats.

I didn't have a ton of time to type this up because I'm on my phone at work but I hope this helps!

Here's what I carry from your list:

Knife/multitool: Leatherman Skeletool - I use this so much for so many things it's ridiculous. They're as cheap as $20-$30 at Home Depot sometimes, but the average price is around $40-$45. Pliers, locking knife that's half-serrated, a bottle opener, and a reversible screwdriver bit. Add this bit kit for $5 to replace the bit with a single bit with both philips and flathead in one. (For some reason, the Skeletool ships with two bits that are just small/large flathead and small/large philips, necessitating changing the bit entirely to swap between types.)

Flashlight: I carry a Nitecore Mh12, but for your price point a Thrunite TC12, which I also own. It's based on the 18650 battery which has 4 times the capacity of an AA battery. Because this light is rechargeable via USB, you don't need a standalone charger to go with it. It's waterproof to 2 meters, shockproof to 1.5 meters, and has brightness settings ranging from 0.4 lumens (see where you're going in a dark house without waking an SO) to over 1,000 lumens, almost as bright as high-beams on a car. Yes, really. At it's lowest setting, it'll last almost 80 days. Yes, really. $69 on Amazon. Make sure you get the neutral white version (TC12 NW) as it's easier on the eyes and gives more accurate color. I've linked directly to it, bundled with about the highest-capacity battery you can get for it.

If you want to be a rockstar you could get her a 4-pack of batteries for another $50. And if she still needs to buy extra batteries, it will accept 2 CR123 batteries (not as common as AA, but still relatively common) instead, albeit with lower overall life than a single 18650 cell. Note: there are a lot of crappy, knock-off 18650 batteries out there that are not only unreliable, but also lie about their capacity and have been known to cause fires. The KeepPower batteries are great, reliable, high-capacity, and about as cheap as you'll find reliable cells for on Amazon.

Lighter: Apologies; I don't carry a lighter at the moment as I so rarely need one. /u/osufan19's suggestion of a Tesla Coil Lighter seems like a good one, though, and now has me thinking of adding it to my EDC for the coolness factor alone. $20 on Amazon, and here's a GIF of it in action. (Note: the waviness is someone blowing on it, I think.)

Keychain/holder: I like the KeySmart. However, some keys in India aren't standard sizes (depends on where she'll be), so bear that in mind. I've got the can opener and measurer on mine, but have yet to use either. I did, however, need extensions to add more keys. This will run you $19 on Amazon, but I'd recommend ordering that directly from KeySmart as they'll include the loop for attaching a car fob or nonstandard keys for free $5 more on Amazon), and other accessories are cheaper direct. I'd also recommend the extended version rather than the standard length, as longer keys (like a car key) fit better. Going direct, the total for an extended KeySmart with the loop, extensions for 2-14 kes (as opposed tio 2-8) and shipping will be $24.95.

Small bag/holder: I carry everything in my pockets, and it fits nicely/doesn't print. This may not work well for a woman, however, depending on her wardrobe. I wear jeans, and my pockets actually have room.

---

Total cost: For the knife, bits, and light (minus the extra batteries), you're looking at $131.63 at Amazon. Add the Keysmart and you're at $156.58, which is only slightly above your budget. The lighter adds another $20. It does not include the bag, however, so bear that in mind.

Blazer little buddy 2 is pretty awesome. Nice thin flame that really throws like a mini jet engine. Expensive tho, but works perfectly.

I also have an Honest lighter I got off Amazon, it has a toggle switch for regular flame and torch, but I superglued that to the torch setting. Haha. This one works excellent too and takes garbage fuel like a champ. This is a great lighter for the price.

From left to right...

  1. Nibo Deluxe Butane Torch Refillable Lighter Adjustable Flame and Safety Lock - Bought this one off of eBay, works well but the flame isn't very big even on the highest setting amd you can't see how much butane is left in it.

    https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Nibo-Deluxe-Butane-Torch-Refillable-Lighter-Adjustable-Flame-and-Safety-Lock/312336285164?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

2 - Jobon ZB 673 Torch - This one came with my Lotus Vaporizer, it seems to have a bigger butane tank in it although again you can't see it. This one also has a really big flame if you want it, but can also be adjusted down to a small flame. The clicker that makes the spark stopped working about after 1 month and was replaced with nothing more than an email. Great customer service from Lotus, these torches are warrantied for 90 days if purchased from them.

    https://lotusvaporizer.com/jobon-zb-673-torch/

3 - Honest dual mode torch lighter - Bought this one off amazon, has the ability to act as a normal butane lighter (like a bic) or a torch. This one has a small butane tank so may not be ideal for people who take their vapcaps with them on the go, but very reliable so far.

    https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0793JWH4K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

4 - Honest Butane Torch Lighter - Bought this one from VapeNorth (Sneaky Pete's Canadian site). This one works very well, has a thinner flame than most of my other torches. This one is sort of a precision torch because of the thinner flame, very easy to aim it exactly where you want it and of course the see through butane tank.

    https://vapenorth.ca/collections/accessories/products/honest-butane-torch-lighter?variant=1159626686484

5 - Jobon High Capacity Triple Jet Torch Gas Lighter - Bought this one from eBay as well. It works very well but to be honest I haven't used it much because I prefer a single flame. I picked it up in case I ever wanted to vape outside where there is potential for wind.

500mg? You're going to have a very, very bad time. That's 50 times what you should be taking.

Assuming proper technique(which I will explain shortly), 10mg will give you a good first trip. That's right, just the smallest pinprick of the stuff.

As you can see from this chart, 500mg is recommended for beginners assuming you're smoking PURE LEAF.

You're smoking a very strong extract fourty times as potent as pure leaf, which is actually unnecessarily strong, but they sell it anyways because god knows why.

So the math is easy. 500mg / 40x = 12mg.

12mg is the dose to get a common trip for the stuff you're taking.

If you want to just go balls deep on your first toke, which I don't recommend, then smoke 20mg. That's the deepest I've ever gone, and it's left me emotionally and mentally changed for life. I hope you know that you're not smoking weed here. You're not even smoking DMT. DMT can be kinder than salvia. Salvia is the "beats you up in a back alley with a bat" of all drugs. It's quick, unexpected, and brutal... but sometimes it's just what you deserve(and need) at that moment in your life.

I mentioned proper technique. You're going to want to use a propane lighter, for one. Propane lighters generate enough heat to reach the vaporization point of salvia. Regular old gas station cig lighters won't do, and you'll end up with an unpredictable trip that could be far too weak or far too strong depending on how much of the Salvinorin the lighter is able to vaporize.

I can recommend this bad baby: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EP2NB6E/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I smoked my salvia with her, and always got a predictable trip. You'll of course need to buy propane cartridges to fill it up.

The other, and possibly most important part of technique is to hold the smoke in for as long as possible. I'm saying at least 20 seconds. If you don't do this, you won't feel the trip. Every second the smoke is held in will be another step further into la-la-land. You'll be able to feel the salvinorin enter your bloodstream and warp your perception as you hold in the breath longer and longer, and it'll be interesting, to say the least.

That's it. If you follow everything here, you'll have a safe trip that doesn't burn through your entire gram in one day on a horrible nightmare trip.

I wish you safe voyage, cosmonaut.

Here's my advice since I literally just started a few weeks ago. This is exactly what I wished I knew before I spent money on random cigars from various sites.

  1. Depending on how many sticks you plan on getting at a time, invest in a tuppedor. Don't waste your time with a wooden humidor (at least right now). I picked up these from amazon and all my ~40-50 sticks sit comfortably in there.
  • Plastic "humidor"
  • Hygrometer
  • Boveda Packs, although I might lean towards the 65% next time. Also, you only need 1 pack in a tuppedor, 2 is overkill. They can also be recharged, so don't throw them away when they dry out.

  1. If you have a nice brick and mortar tobacco store (not a hole in the wall place that caters only to e-cigs and accessories) near you, visit them and ask questions. If they are worth their salt, they should be fairly knowledgeable about cigars. They will point you in the right direction. I stupidly didn't do this and just kind of bought random shit online and have had mixed results with what I bought. The stuff I've bought at the store has been much, much fresher too. However, you will be spending 30-40% above what you'll pay online. I found it worth it for how much time and effort the staff spent helping me, but it is quite a bit more expensive.

  2. If that's not an option, look for sampler packs online. You can find cheap options that include a bunch of different sticks so you can sample a variety. I would suggest looking at smallbatch mixes find a price you're comfortable with spending (30 to 40 should be plenty, maybe buy 2 of the $30 to $40 packs so you end with ~10 cigars) and in the comment section of your order mention that you're brand new to cigars. He should be able to make an excellent mix for a new smoker. Use code "rcigars" for 10% off (without the "", not sure if valid for the mix).

  3. Also, if you don't come from a background of smoking cigarettes, stick with the mild to medium strength cigars. I smoked a few full strength ones from the samplers I got and they kicked my ass. It was unpleasant to say the least. If you DO plan on smoking a full strength cigar, smoke on a full stomach and drink something sweet with it. Sweet tea or a pop of some sort works well to quell the nicotine content.

  4. Accessories. All you really need is a decent cutter and a torch lighter and you're all set.
  • A cutter
  • A butane lighter
  • Fuel [Note, you can use cheaper fuel, but your lighter may get clogged with shitty zippo butane fuel.]
  • Some sort of ashtray. You don't realize how nice it is to have one until you don't have one and have no place to rest your cigar.

  1. If you do find a cigar you enjoy, try buying a 5 pack of it. Let it rest for a week or so and try them out over the course of a month or several months and see if you enjoy them as much as you did the first time. See if they get better with age. I have far too many 1 offs that I enjoyed, but would I still enjoy them a month from now? 2 months from now?

  2. Oh, and generally stay away from infused cigars. They use shittier tobacco since they can mask it with flavors. The girlfriend still likes these, but I think she's starting to come around to a natural sweetness/chocolate taste instead of an artificially infused one. Plus they stink up your humidor and can potentially ruin the taste of your other cigars in them if they are in close contact.

  3. Online sites that I've enjoyed purchasing from and ship quickly:
  1. Look up retrohaling. You'll taste more of your cigar this way. Warning, it does burn the hell out of your nose the first handful of times you do it. Start with a mild cigar instead of a full strength one like I stupidly decided to do. :P

    Hopefully this helps.

Edit: Many edits to fix errors and add additional info.

Eagle torch all the way man: https://www.amazon.com/Eagle-Lighter-Windproof-Refillable-Assorted/dp/B0776NN1CD

The link there is $13 for 4. I paid $13 for ONE at my local cigar shop but it was way better than the 10 dollar pos I bought with my dynavap so I’m still pleased with ‘overspending’ on it. The reservoir is large but you will definitely be refilling every few days with any lighter unless you don’t use the vap cap often. This torch overall is the most reliable of the four I have tried personally.

Trust me, there is no need to go fancier than something like this, if refueling as little as possible is your top concern then get a kitchen torch that you screw onto a canister of butane and that will be your best bet! (The flame will be a tad big, use on the smallest possible setting)

Also buy yourself some good butane, I bought Colibri after buying a crap bottle first and it’s worth it just to extend the life of your torch/its reliability. It’s really not even much more expensive than the cheap options.

One last thing, consider than anything really small and discreet is just gonna end up being hot and annoying/uncomfortable to use.

Thanks for the feedback!

For the water, I agree that I brought too much water. When I went to Olympic last year I only carried a liter of water with me at a time, but for Big Bend there is only a few streams that generally dry up in the summer (can't be relied on) and the Rio Grande. The route we went only came within about 5 miles of the Rio Grande, and the creeks were reduced to stagnant puddles by the time we went. The Big Bend website suggests a gallon per person per day of water, and we brought 4 gallons between us for 3 days, and that was still too much. I am a hyper water conservationist when I backpack, and I think I can get by with about 2 liters per person per day going forward. I had never done a desert trip before, so I went conservative to be safe.

The trash compactor bag is an intriguing idea. I have historically just done the ducks back to keep my stuff mostly dry and the dry sack to keep my sleeping bag dry so I would never freeze to death, but I like the idea of the compactor bag without the dry bag. I think I messed up my sub kilo by using a compression sack for the first 6 years that I owned it.

I have been eyeing those thermarest xlite pads. My current thermarest is about 10 years old and not very thick.

The rain jacket umbrella combo is something I have been testing recently. The Patagonia jacket I have is essentially a wind shirt, so anything more than a drizzle goes straight through it. So without an umbrella, I would be almost without rain gear. The umbrella has some other benefits like being a wind break, allowing easy night time bathroom breaks, and makes it easier to check maps while its raining and such. I think I will get an OR Helium at some point and bring that whenever it is a low chance of rain, or for particularly long trips.

I searched a bit for a torch style lighter, and these are the only ones that I have found:

Soto Which just loads generic bic style lighters into it for fuel.
Gizga Which requires you to buy separate fuel and recharge it.

I tried the Gizga one time, and I could only get a tiny bit of fuel to charge it, so it only lasted a day or two. I might have a defective unit, so I may try getting another one.

Thanks again for the advice! I will definitely test your ideas out!

u/jaredjdr · 2 pointsr/Dynavap

I see! It’s similar, but has a condenser inside to help keep it clean and cool the vapor a bit. I use two lighters:

This zippo insert because I’m a nerd for them, and it’s portable. Z-Plus 2.0 Extreme Torch Flame Lighter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ADTCJDY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_CqTADb6QT1SBZ
It looks like they have a similar thing that comes with a case on the DynaVap website, I have not personally used this one, though.
https://www.dynavap.com/dynashop/accessories/z-plus-2-dual-torch

The other I have was a free gift when I ordered my DynaVap, and I don’t see it anywhere, now. But it is a quad flame (or, mini flamethrower). Better for at home use and heats the dyna quicker.

My recommendation is a dual flame. Easier to learn with!

u/PresentAffect · 2 pointsr/vaporents

I should've mentioned I bought the starter kit myself, and while I'm happy with it, I could have done without some of the extra bits since their parts are built to last anyway. My kit came with a triple burner torch (Amazon has a two pack for $17)that I like as well. Gets the cap to a vape temperature a bit faster, but does not perform as well as a single burner if you want to maximize your hits. Dynavap has a good video explaining the difference.

Sneaky Pete also made a good video with some heating tips.

If you decide to get one, enjoy! They are really fun devices and are pretty cheap to boot.

u/CarouselOnFire · 4 pointsr/vaporents

Puffitup.com is a reliable vendor - their packaging is discreet (return label is something like six5, not puffitup)

One of the best pound for pound vapes on the market right now is the vapcap M, made by dynavap. It is the vaporizer equivalent of a one hitter, and it costs $50. www.dynavap.com

You’ll need a butane lighter - dynavap sells them. Any butane torch will do, i like this one from
Amazon prime
.

I’ve owned over a dozen vapes of all price ranges. As I type this, I am using my vapcap m instead of far more pricey vapes. It’s just easy, convenient, and great for taking one hit at a time.

Don’t trust shitty Chinese rebrands - whatever you decide to purchase, search it in the sidebar on this sub first. Also pm me or really anyone. We just want to help folks medicate safety and efficiently :)

A herfador is pretty awesome.

I do have the Alec Bradley "The Burner" tabletop lighter and really like it. It's not fantastic for windy days though...

I know you said no cigars but really.... Cigars. In our wiki we have a great recommendations section look in the special occasions section for some really nice gift cigars.

I assume you want a triple torch for the vapcap?

I have had good luck with scorch, zico, xikar (expensive but quality and reliable), and honest.

I have not used these torches myself, but they are cheap enough to try.

I like the Silo (don't have one) but it's certainly the stealthiest and airtight, and you can also use doobtubes or get an appropriate sized titanium pill holder off amazon or somewhere for storing flower. Then you should be able to keep your vapcap and a couple of kinds of flower ready, airtight, and easy to conceal since you could put each container in a different pocket, keep them together, or whatever.

The 'cheap' futostashes are more economical than the dynastashes, and look a bit nicer, IMHO. But if I ever get one, I'll probably be a sucker for the more expensive galaxy burl ones as well.

Also, get a torch with some metal on the body and that will help with speeding up cooldown clicks. I have this one -- around $11 -- and my only complaint is that the flame height adjustment is not a large knob but the smaller flathead screwdriver type: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07K3ZHVWSI got turned onto this model by Troy on 420vapezone who uses it on some of his review videos and says he loves it.

I prefer to use softflame lighters, just enjoy them a lot more. For that I turn to:

  • IM Corona Old Boy This is apipe lighter, but absolutely fantastic.
  • Xikar EX Solid softflame for when I don't bring my IM Corona out.

    For torches:

  • Alec Bradley Hendrix FX3 For when it is windy, not really a fan of triple flame lighters though.
  • Ronson Jetlite The most reliable single flame torch made. Had one for a dozen years or so before it went missing at a bachelor party. Luckily a replacement is like $6 at Walmart.
  • Xikar Genesis A decent single flame, mine went missing at a herf unfortunately.
  • Carbon Fiber Jet Torch A complete piece of shit. Got a 2 pack off cbid for like $3, both quit working inside of 3 days....steer clear of these, CI likes to make them an optional freebie.
u/terppyderpy · 1 pointr/Dynavap

Hi.

  1. No, Dynavap does not send out mailed ads. You will not be receiving any solicitations from Dynavap at any of your addresses.
  2. From what I've read, airflow (biggest functional improvement from the 2018 M) of the 2019 M rivals that of the Ti tip. The only reason you would want to get a Ti tip is if you want a quicker heat up and cool down. The stock SS tip is still heats up and cools down wicked quick. If ordering from Dynavap, I'd say go ahead and pay for the $10 upgrade if you are not on a budget. You could probably recoup some of that $10 if you plan to resell later down the road. The Ti tip is $40 by itself.
  3. The kit isn't worth it, especially if you do not need the Dynastash. Your 2019 M should come with a green tube and does a great job at holding in odor for you to carry it around. The wax from the kit can be substituted with a tube of Burts Bee's lip balm that can be bought for $3. Use it to lubricate your O-rings to prevent it from drying out. The extra screen/CCD is great but I've been using my 2018 M heavily and have yet to find a need to replace my screen. I do not see myself needing to replace it in the near future. The lighter is cool but a 5 pack from Amazon could be had for relatively cheap and it works well. More on that in #5. The pipe cleaners are also cool but I find that you can squeeze a q-tip dipped in ISO through all of the essential parts that needs cleaning (condenser tube + tip). Furthermore, you can purchase pipe cleaners separately on Amazon. Pipe cleaners from Zen are touted to be amongst the best.
  4. This is personal preference. If you want your your vapor cooler, lay off the airport. If you want a faster and milkier extraction, choke it (the airport). I usually get 2.5 hits per heat cycle, 1st hit I cover the airport (inhale, hold it in, exhale) then 2nd hit I alternate (on/off), 3rd hit no choke.
  5. Single flame is best, double flame is ok, three flames should be avoided. I have all three and using a single flame provides better hits and more precision. I only use a dual flame if I'm too lazy to refill my single with butane but only utilize one fo the two flames if that makes sense. I have a Ronson single torch that I bought on clearance at a local grocery store. I also have a Blazer Venture which is a dual flame although I do not recommend it because it does not hold a lot of butane and gets hot to the touch easily. The go-to is generic or Eagle branded single torch lighters found on Amazon; 5 for $10 or 10 for $18. Literally can't lose with that even if some are DOA. The important thing is to refill with quality butane (I use Zippo and Colibri Premium).

As for tips, the sweet spot to heat is the NA on "DYNAVAP" on the cap while rotating it.
u/Collector797 · 1 pointr/EDC

Sure. It's a great little lighter. Period. The fact that it's less than 5$ at your local Walgreens makes it even better. It has a jet flame, and it runs off butane. The form factor is very Zippo-ish, but it is slightly slimmer. It has a strong child safety, but it can be removed relatively easily and the flame can be turned up to your heart's desire.

Reviews can be found here that will back up all my personal opinions: http://www.amazon.com/Ronson-Jetlite-Butane-Torch-Lighter/product-reviews/B006G1KVQ0

u/duquesne419 · 1 pointr/vaporents

I have the Zico version of this dual flame torch. I prefer the dual flame. I know a lot of people preach single flame, but I find when I hold the dual flame perpindicular to the cap and put it right between the flames I get the best combo of even, fast heat up. I would recommend against getting this particular model. It has a door that closes over the jets, which seems nice at first, but really just retains a lot of heat and makes it slightly uncomfortable for longer sessions.

I might get something like this from Amazon as backups, but go to a local cigar shop or smoke shop and find a nicer torch for your main driver. I've got a couple shitty torches and they're shitty, but all my second tier are noticeably nicer. For instance, the action on my Zico dual is more smooth than on my Eagle dual. The Eagle works, but it is definitely a back up since it's more uncomfortable to use and less reliable.

You don't need a fancy torch. I got my Vapcap and instantly it became my main driver, so I went out and invested in a couple nicer torches since I was going to be spending time with them.

Also, get something transparent or with a good window so you can see how much butane you have less. That's another strike against my Eagle, I never know if I have fluid to last the day and need a backup.

u/bannable01 · 1 pointr/vaporents

Yeah, I had that issue too. I'm not sure what exactly fixed it, but I did take it apart, clean everything off, and put it back together.

Before that I had been heating like 5-10 seconds after the click and it was still barely working.

Didn't matter what heat source I used, BIC, stove, Butane torch.

After re-assembling I did notice that I got VASTLY superior results by holding the cap in the flame, so the flame wraps around the cap, than I did slowly heating from farther away. Added benefit is it heats up in about 20 seconds instead of 35.

Maybe the metal needs to be "broken in"? Idk, that doesn't make any sense to me but I can't imagine another explanation for the night and day performance difference that didn't coincide (in terms of timing) with any of the changes I made. It just randomly started working right, more like the OG vapcap.

Finally, I will say that while with the OG vapcap it wasn't necessary to cover the "carb" to get a good hit, with the M if I don't inhale with the carb covered I get nothing at all from it :/

Maybe you could find a game both would enjoy playing with each other and send it to them on steam. Fallout 4 is awesome but eventually they will be looking to play something else. Rocket League is a pretty hot topic lately I hear and it's fairly inexpensive and multiplayer.

If you want something non-digital, maybe a cool Pocket Torch for the outdoorsy one and a massage or something similar for the homebody who's been stressed lately? Just some ideas, hope I helped.

u/AQDelumni · 2 pointsr/CampingGear

Thanks. As far as packs go, I'm also pretty set on only buying Ospreys in the future because of their lifetime policy. I've got a Farpoint, a Talon and a Rev, but I'm weighing my options until my intro main pack that isn't an Osprey falls apart.

Separating is good, too. The Tesla lighters are just as heavy (if not heavier) as a Zippo or the ferro rods bc of the internal battery, but they're also SUPER fun. I've been using this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016P8A1K4 It's like a mini taser. I fully charged mine when I got it and tried to count how many times I could turn it on for 3 second durations, and I stopped counting at 200 only because I got bored with just pressing the button.

u/fluffton · 7 pointsr/vaporents

I think the other guy was trying to say go with the VapCap though chose to just bash on the other products you mentioned without bothering to talk about your other options. The VapCap M is a solid quality product that can last a lifetime if treated with respect. It also looks pretty gentlemanlike paired with a suit which keeps with the wedding theme.

These little things are a fantastic vape given any price range. I would rather use a VapCap M than many units 4 times the price or more.

One thing I will mention is the packaging / storage tube. This is literally a plastic tube and given the situation I think you would do really well to make some simple presentation boxes for them out of wood. It would be a cheap and easy project to give it that final touch of class.

Oh one other thing to mention and I know this will bump the cost up another $60 or so but get them a nice torch lighter to go with it so that they don't need to go and buy anything to use it. This one or that one would do it nicely.

Torches arw always a tough decision, different torches for different uses for different effects. Double Torches are the sweet spot for me. Decent heat up time and fuel consumption is adequate. The one thing to remember is to bleed them before each fill to let the air out to get optimal results for lighting up on the first try.

I have this model and i love it:

This is my favorite lighter, it's a triple flame, so it's good for everything except getting the milkiest hits out of a water piece. For thick bong rips I suggest using a single flame. I have an honest single flame torch from my sticky brick. Works super great.

u/CapableProfessional · 1 pointr/vaporents

I would recommend fully packing, the easiest way to do so is to use the Dynavap like a straw - take the cap off and "sip"up some bud into the chamber, it will fill it nice and full with plenty of airflow. I find this gets me a good 5-7 hits per bowl, and if im alone I usually get a decent high out of 1 with high tolerance. as for the BIC I would avoid it and find a decent lighter like this one https://www.amazon.com/Vertigo-Cyclone-Triple-Lighter-Charcoal/dp/B00LJVW0FW/ref=sr_1_2?hvadid=323595996874&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9002357&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=b&hvrand=255410970231067064&hvtargid=kwd-315003177522&hydadcr=19145_10832515&keywords=vertigo+quad+lighter&qid=1568745741&sr=8-2

The flame on that one looks like it gets to a good enough length for the brick, I can’t tell the flame width that well in pictures though. If the torch comes and the flame is as wide as your honest brand one, I’d say eventually get the Eagle torch. I mean, $5.88 free shipping?

Buy the cheapest, disposable lighter set you can find. My tip.

I feel like a lighter is such an easily lost (or stolen) thing that buying something expensive isn't worth the money.

If you still want something efficient, then check these out:

Tesla Coil Lighters. Also great conversation starters.

If you want something with a flame, I'd recommend torch lighters - windproof, quick and even stylish in some cases.

u/redditiem2 · 2 pointsr/cigars

I love my Alec Bradley "The Burner". It holds a lot of butane and has a big soft flame. You have to be real careful with touch ups though. :)

EDIT: Doh I just saw you said you were going to buy a burner anyway... Well just make sure you purge all the gas and air out of it before you refill. I've heard of these things breaking it that purge isn't done properly.

IMHO, these are a better idea and much safer:

Switch Flame Butane Torch Pipe Lighter #109

45 Degree Angle Jet Flames Butane Torch Lighter Edition 4

Windproof Triple Jet Flame Torch Cigar Lighter

It's to easy to do serious personal/property damage with a propane torch.

Amazon has a good selection of pipe/cigar torches and culinary torches better suited for "sitting around the living room" use. Any decent tobacco shop probably carries at least one torch lighter.

u/A-Void-Dance · 1 pointr/vaporents

I recommend getting a butane unit to start out...They can often hit heavier and be more efficient than other portables.

Dynavap M is $57 shipped... You'll just need any single flame torch lighter and a can of good butane(Colibri is good)... I like the cheap Eagle torches they sell on ebay and Amazon 5 for ~$10.

StickyBrick will run $100-$200 and also needs a torch lighter.

Just buy this lighter. Dynavap also uses these for some of their kits, but you can just get two of them for less than 9 bucks each here, and they work great. All my cigar-smoking friends swear by them too.

u/wobowobo · 5 pointsr/vaporents

Honestly it might still just be the torch. I have the cheap single flame that came with the brick and it just doesn't work with the brick for me (I use it with the vapcap and lighting tealights pretty often though). A stronger single flame like the zico t38 I think it's called have worked much better for me. I love the brick but do really dislike how much performance differs based on torch

I use my Every Day Carry items....every day....which is why I carry those items, every day.

Used my Fenix UC35 last night during our snow storm to keep an eye on the dogs, and to explore the dark winter wilderness a little bit. I also daily a warm knit hat and gloves for the season...which are also useful in the snow, for obvious reasons. Cut a very long loose string off my coat lastnight as well with the blade I've been carrying around for almost a decade now, my Sypderco Endura 4. My smaller Streamlight Stylus Pro wasn't needed, but was there if for some reason I developed a use for it.

Just recently got a Leatherman Squirt PS4 which I carry in the little coin pocket of my jeans. It's scissors are very handy in replacement of my older Victorinox Classic which works great for the tweezers and toothpick, but it's scissors have had it. Anyway, I used the Leatherman to file down a couple finger nails I tore up lifting a CVT onto a cart two days ago. The single cut file was good enough to keep the jagged edges of my nails from snagging my gloves, so it's alright in my book.

Frequently use my lighter, a Ronson Jetlite to flip around as a fiddle item or to light periodic items asunder, or to bond them to each other (in the case of paracord).

Also it could be the butane that you use. I had the same issues before and then I did some research and that is usually the problem. Buy good butane like Vector 14x or Xikar high performance high altitude. I used lesser brands before and through away lighters, luckily they weren’t expensive. Also make sure you bleed the lighter fully before each refill. But I have two of those lighters I linked and they work flawlessly.

You would probably enjoy a smaller torch than those flambé style torches.

Everything on dynavap's website is solid. I guess amazon considers them 'torch/cigar lighters', so something like this or this. I haven't tried either of those, but just trying to give you a reference.

You can actually check out your local smoke shops for them too. However, they usually don't have as big of selection and can be a little more expensive. Aliexpress is would also be a good place to check out, if you don't mind 1 month boat shipping.

the flame from the torch is parallel to the table.

the bong is about 1" too short for the nail to reach the flame..

I have a small cutting board, that's about 1" thick.. so I just put the bong on the cutting board, and the torch on the counter. viola.

you need a lighter where the flame comes out parallel to the table. and is ~3" (or whatever) high. sit the dyna vertically.. maybe the flame just lines up?

Me too. I don't know if it's just bad luck or karma coming back to get me, but all the fancy ones just don't cut it.

Actually, I have a Scorch Torch. Apologies - I have a Vector too, and it also works well, but my every day is a Scorch. Here's the link to Amazon. $10!

I like buying refillable lighters because bics have way too much plastic. I've got one of these guys with a bit of hemp wick wrapped around it, secured by a hair tie. Giant fluid reservoir and it's handy for melting the ends of rope and stuff.

I haven’t ordered any dual torches from Amazon, but I’ve had a good experience with this Vertigo triple torch.

Dynavap sells a few torches, like this one It has 3 flames. Many people prefer a torch with only a single flame, like these They tend to be more reliable,
and can provide bigger hits due to higher bowl temperatures.

As for fuel (the butane itself), higher quality fuel is recommended as it leaves no taste and won't clog up your lighters.

Brand 1
Brand 2

One can will refill a lighter about 20 times, depending on how big the lighter is. I've found that a full lighter last me days of heavy usage.

How to refill

u/paniconenvy · 3 pointsr/EDC

I have the Zplus 2.0 Extreme and I'm really happy with it https://amazon.com/dp/B00ADTCJDY

u/GirthyBurger · 3 pointsr/vaporents

I have had these single flame lighters for 2 years and recently tried out these triple flame torches because I wanted to heat in a hurry. The single flame allows for more temperature control but the triple flame is more wind resistant and heats faster. I like both but now use my homemade induction heater the most.

Alec Bradley The Burner table lighter.

http://www.amazon.com/Alec-Bradley-Burner-Table-Lighter/dp/B005EQR3LO

Basically a bunsen burner but you can actually set the flame really low and get a nice toast going. Huge full tank so you don't have to refill often.

u/geshmel · 2 pointsr/Zippo

What? These are pretty normal lighters? I’m not talking about tabletop torches used for creme brulee at restaurants or heating up your dab rig...

https://www.amazon.com/Scorch-Torch-Cigarette-Lighter-Attachment/dp/B008D6L5WU

u/King-kinky · 1 pointr/vaporents

I use this exact one,
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01M6C8F34/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_121_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=HNCRAH3XT37SXRQ34JEH&dpPl=1&dpID=71zA6QiYJHL
It heats up in about 7-10 seconds and works really well. My only complaint is that I have to refill it often because of the small tank. It looks pretty sleek though.

u/bicode · 2 pointsr/Dynavap

Zico T-38 is comfortable, and durable single flame torch. It’s the go-to for my Vapcaps.

u/The_Vape_Escape · 5 pointsr/vaporents

Regarding torches spending 20+ for torches isn't necessary i grabbed one of these at a corner store, its been going strong for 6 months.

Another possibility is this. I got them for my dad and my brother last year (their birthdays are a couple weeks apart). It's an electric coil lighter made by Tesla. Basically, it's a lighter that uses electricity rather than fire. It's kind of cool because it's new technology, but it's also useful because you can use it in the wind and rain and it doesn't affect anything.

I know I’m not offering a solution, but have you tried Vertigo triple torches? I’ve dropped them tons of times but they both work like the day I got them.

It's basically a 2 torch zippo. Its pretty good.

I was originally just going to get the Z Plus 2 insert from amazon, but that costs $18. With the 420 discount I got the Z Plus 2 with zippo for $12.

u/GrimmDemon · 2 pointsr/vaporents

I usually tour Amazon Canada. They have a decent selection of torch lighters.

Here is the link to a 3rd party zippo torch insert. Zippo actually makes a 1st party one now but not in Canada.

u/ZuesAgeddon · 3 pointsr/Dynavap

Outdoors I use triple flame, indoors I use this single flame. The triple heats up the cap faster and stronger against the wind. However, I much prefer the vapcap indoors and with the single torch.

Vertigo by Lotus Cyclone Triple Torch Cigar Lighter Charcoal 2 Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LJVW0FW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_LEPNAbMS6KRM6

$18 - 2pack of triple torch lighters. I’ve had them for months with daily use. If you use good quality butane (like your Colibri) they should last. Went through 4 lighters in a month before I found these.

u/pundapoop · 2 pointsr/vaporents

u/CVJoint · 3 pointsr/AskMen

Looks like it's actually $21. Here's the one I have.
And with a $17 arc lighter you're still under $50. I've got the Tesla coil but it's just a single arc, so you might want to check out the dual arc types. I don't have any experience with those though

It’s obviously not the highest end torch, but bought this 2 pack a few months ago and they have been very solid. Refilled each of them a few times already without issue.

Vertigo Triple Flame

u/jmatthews2088 · 3 pointsr/vaporents

I've tried several, and my favorite is Vertigo Cyclone:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LJVW0FW/

Unlike most on Amazon, reviewers don't seem to have a problem with it suddenly pooping out. You can see the butane level. And three torches means quick heating.

u/---YNWA--- · 4 pointsr/cigars

These are an option. No experience with them but I have read they work well. Probably different brands out there to check, this was the first one I came across.

u/werunthenleast · 1 pointr/cigars

I use this. Works just fine for me.

u/KJCollins · 2 pointsr/woahdude

You can get this one on amazon for like $20. Not an X but still the same thing. I've got one.

u/jayhawk8808 · 5 pointsr/cigars

Xi2 cutter, MTX Multi-Tool, and 9mm punch, all by Xikar. They’d be worth the price even without the warranty, but with it, it’s a steal. Not actually crazy about any of my lighters, though I do really like this Alec Bradley tabletop.

u/Yillis · 1 pointr/EDC

u/Catfish_Mudcat · 2 pointsr/mallninjashit

It's listed as a windproof lighter, nowhere does it say it will only work with cigarettes and nothing else. I figured it could at least light a cigar but nope not easily.

u/mk6_hasenpfeffer · 4 pointsr/cigars

Generally speaking it’s not a good idea to use a zippo to light a cigar. The fuel can affect the taste of the cigar. If you prefer the zippo you can get an insert from amazon or other sources that converts your zippo into a butane torch.

I found an amazon zico (arc turboflame replica) of the type that's apparently all the rage for use with the GVG after what I found on other sites and what the other commenters suggested :)

Theres another one on Amazon that apparently only makes the annoying noise after five seconds. Might be a bit wider as well.
