They make clips to stop that, I used to always tear my bed up in my sleep.
Edit: here is a link to what I got. Looks stupid, but they work

If safety is a concern there's, ya know, [things designed for this purpose.] (http://www.amazon.com/ORIGINAL-Bed-Adjustable-Fastener-Suspender/dp/B004I3VDWY/ref=pd_sim_hg_1)
Like these things.
These things changed my life

They work quite well.
Forget cotton, forget high thread counts, forget flannel, go modal. Bed Bath and Beyond Pure Beech sateen sheets. They have a slightly shimmery finish, launder very well and are made to fit any size mattress. Note, they are deep enough to accommodate 17" mattresses, but you can buy straps for your mattress to keep your sheets tight. (One of these days I will buy some. Edit: I just bought these.)
Note: you cannot launder these like cotton or they degrade and tear. Wash in cold water on the gentle cycle (I add Oxyclean to the water) and dry on low. A lot of reviews on BBBY.com talk about tearing and seam splitting, and attributed it to changing manufacturers from one in Turkey to one in China. I'd been using these sheets for years and wanted another set, so those reviews really disappointed me. But it wasn't until I found the one review that emphasizes the washing directions that I felt confident about buying them again. That was a couple years ago and I've had no issues with my sheets. I just bought another set literally yesterday so I could dump my microfiber set (which pilled after two months).
These sheets are amazingly soft right out of the package, and quickly ramp up to "incredible" and "unbelievable" after every wash. I am completely spoiled for any other kind of sheet now.
A queen set is $80 and includes two pillowcases. Use the 20% off coupon to bring them down to $64.
Bed Band for the bottom sheet. I never use the top one.
I've had good luck with these.

I just picked up a set myself after seeing his post.
Get something like this. There are some cheaper options but those are the exact ones I have. They work great.
I bought THESE things a year ago, because it was driving me absolutely nuts (first world problem, I know) that my fitted sheet would not stay put for more than about an hour.
I haven't had a single problem with a fitted sheet since. It just works. Period.
They go under the mattress brah, not visible at all. I use these and they work perfectly

I had the same problems until I bought these bad boys. Made my life.
/r/QueeeeenSheela seriously if you are having that issue buy these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004I3VDWY?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf they are a God send. I had sheets that the elastic was basically gone on and barely fit my queen and it fixed them right up and they didn't come off for weeks. I've even turned a top sheet with no elastic into a bottom sheet with these.

Yes! These are the ones we have.
Sheet Suspenders
You'll never have this problem again... There are cheaper ones too, that was the first amazon result...
I have [these] (http://www.amazon.com/ORIGINAL-Bed-Adjustable-Fastener-Suspender/dp/B004I3VDWY/ref=pd_sim_hg_3) Just put them on two nights ago after owning for months. Work perfect so far, and look at those reviews. Hard to beat 4.5 stars & almost 800 reviews.
I bought these little suspender things for mine. They have worked nicely. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004I3VDWY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This was happening to my bed too! We bought these and they work great. We used to have the kind that go all the way under the mattress and those were a pain in the ass to deal with when putting the sheets back on.
Seconded, although these are the ones I have, which are a few bucks cheaper. I bought them three years ago, haven't had a problem with my sheets since.
There are clips you can buy which pull the corners tight together underneath the mattress - my wife and I used to deal with the sheet popping off every day and this fixed it.

Buy some of these bed bands, they work great!
> I have a cali king and have used king sheets with no problem by using Sheet Suspenders

I'm actually planning on trying these
amazon link.
They have 299 5 star reviews on amazon, so I'm going to give them a shot.
I have these and they work pretty good. 👍🏾
Try sheet straps https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004I3VDWY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_TCN0BbNQWJNQB
I don't have many "cool" things, but I think these are really neat - no more having to adjust the bottom sheet every night!
This is the one I bought. I've only ever used them for fitted sheets. You just clip them onto the corners of your sheets and tighten the straps
I use these and they work very well.
Or just get Bed Bands!
I'm 99% sure they could hold human body weight without breaking a sweat.
