If you have one nearby, I’d suggest trying the h&m nursing tanks. They’re very stretchy and comfortable.

As for the hospital, I most appreciated bringing my own bath sheet in a dark color (in case you get blood on it) because the hospital towels were scratchy and tiny.

Clothes were a big thing. I packed PJ bottoms but never wore them because the nurses were regularly checking my pad to make sure my bleeding down there wasn’t excessive (plus I had a C-section incision), and it made changing my pad and using the squirt bottle to clean myself after peeing much easier. So I got a dress, and Since I was pumping, I wanted a breastfeeding top as well. I bought two of these and could have used more since they were literally all I wore: Motherhood Twist Front Clip Down Nursing Nightgown https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004QB7N9K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Dt0aAbCHP64KH
I like the twist front one because there are some extra layers over the chest so you couldn’t see my nipples underneath. And the fabric is very soft and comfy. Oh, and if you get a C-section, ask for as many extra mesh panties to take home as possible. Regular fabric panties suck when you have an incision.

A robe you can throw on in case you want to leave the room or if you’re cold. They should provide you with nonslip socks.

Make sure to pack enough hair ties!

My husband also brought Gatorade which was really nice. Breastfeeding makes you super thirsty.

Finally, we brought two enormous bags of candy, one each for the antepartum and postpartum nurses. Certainly not necessary but a nice way of showing appreciation.

Appreciate your input! Sounds like a good idea, actually.

We were talking the other day. She was complaining that she felt old and unattractive. I told her that she is more beautiful now than she was 10 years ago and that I, and many other men, find mature women more attractive etc.

I was thinking about borrowing her laptop one day (gonna tell her mine is malfunctioning), search for mature porn, women that look like her and so on, and "forget" to delete the browser history. She will definitely see it because she is very careful with her computer.

I will absolutely update. I don't know if you have read my comments about me ignoring her for so long? I'm probably going to have to work on that for a pretty long time before I do something I cannot undo. Wanna do this right.

She is opening up more and more, though. Today she sent me 3 pictures of her when I was out. I told her I have a very attractive mother.

Thanks again, mate.

Edit:

The woman in this picture looks a lot like my mother. See what I have to live with? Lol.

I normally use boxers and a tshirt at my boyfriends house (same issues with roommates) but I had to switch to a nightgown after spending some time with my leg in a cast--getting any sort of pants on was too much of a process for a bathroom trip. I bought this one off Amazon because it was cheap, cute, and getting to the store with crutches wasn't going to happen. I really like it. The quality is good for the price, and it fits true to size. I'm still wearing it even though I can wear pants easily now!

Victoria's Secret is having their annual sale, so they might have some options on a deep discount.

u/OwnedByCats · 2 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

My sister bought this for me when on a holiday to the US:

http://www.amazon.com/She-Sleeps-Cats-Sleep-Shirt/dp/B004NM93WW

Its huge on me, more of a mumu than a shirt. It is so unsexy that even my thoughtful, loving and accepting husband has a hard time feeling up for it when I wear it.

Its the most comfortable nightgown Ive ever had.

u/NoCleverUsernameIdea · 12 pointsr/LuLaNo

I tend to get her the brand AmeriMark - my grandmother looks to be about 70 (and acts it) but is well into her 90's.

This one and this one are similar to stuff she has for day time. They have snaps and my grandmother can still handle those. She is very adorable in them.

I think she wears this terry cloth one after she showers. I got it for her on sale for like $8 a while ago.

This one is her "getting ready for bed" one. It has a zipper down the front so it's easy on arthritic hands. Size down for this one.

By "Christian Grey" I NATURALLY assume that you mean a grey-alien who happens to believe in the redeeming power of Jesus Christ.

OK. Here we go....

*

As you approach what you believe to be a large, metal disk, a hatch to your right cracks open and light pours forth. As you cautiously reach for the door to open it, it busts open to reveal a grey-alien wearing a crucifix. He speaks:

CHUBBY EARTH-HOUSEKEEPER! COME CLOSER TO MY SPACE VESSEL SO THAT I MAY SEE WHAT GOOD WORK GOD HAS DONE IN MAKIN DAT ASS.

ONCE WE ARE BONDED TOGETHER IN THE BOUNDS OF HOLY MARRIAGE, YOU WILL KNOW ME. BIBLICALLY. UNTIL THEN, KNOW THAT MY GOODS (WHILE NOT RADIOACTIVE) ARE QUITE... ILLUMINATING.

WE SHALL DINE UPON FREEZE DRIED GOODNESS. THE DELECTIBLE CHOCOLATE AND THE DECADENT STRAWBERRY.... BUT I LIKE IT VANILLA, TOO.

I WOULD CLAD YOU IN ONLY THE MODEST-EST OF LINGERIE.

I WOULD SEE YOUR BODY STREWN WITH THE LIKENESS OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR ALIEN CHRIST.

TO MAKE YOU ALL THE MORE APPEALING TO MY PEOPLE, DURING OUR BLESSED, MARRIED, LOVE-PLAY, I WOULD DEMAND THAT YOU DON THIS UPON YOUR SINNER'S HEAD.

THESE BOOTS ARE ACCEPTABLE.

I SHALL RETURN IN 40 DAYS TO RETRIEVE YOU. BEGIN PREPARING YOUR BODY NOW.

PEACE BE WITH YOU...

" .... and also with you."
you mutter

And with that, he flies away.*

I second the nightgown idea. I bought 2 in cute patterns and after a surprise c-section and longer stay in the hospital, taking a shower and putting on one of these made me feel like a pretty human again, even just a little bit. They also had enough room in the front to pull up and slide baby in for convenient skin to skin time with baby! I got these on amazon, 10/10 recommend! Baby Be Mine 2 in 1 Maternity Nursing Nightgown Nightdress Hospital Bag Must Have, Pregnancy Breastfeeding (Medium, Annabelle) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N45QN1N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_D-eGDbA8ZFF9C

I bought one of these but ended up getting a c-section and never used it. My friend bought one too and loved hers. Has room for monitors and epidurals if necessary.

u/katinkzz · 5 pointsr/beyondthebump

Baby stayed in hospital clothes the entire stay, I did bring a cute floral swaddle and headband for pics as well as an outfit to take her home in.

I changed after my first shower. I wore a black night gown that I was able to nurse in. I think I wore that until I left lol. I also had a black robe to wear over it Incase I was cold/ wanted to cover up for guests.

Here’s the night gown only 17 dollars and I still wear it all the time

Edit 2: Search up Zip Front Robes on Google and also check out Dillards

Edit: Check out National

Upon checking Amazon, there are straight up just house coats there. Here are some I really liked:

u/jachreja · 1 pointr/tipofmytongue

Yeah, i double checked everything. Nothing on ebay, hot topic, or amazon.

YOU CAN however get this terrible looking Nightmare Before christmas Snuggie!! Wow oh my god the horror

u/SubtlyTacky · 2 pointsr/HelpMeFind

How about this one?

Edit: Colour may be a little darker than the original, also I'd probably size up if you want it super loose

These are the panties I used:
Peachy Panty Women's Pack of 4 Laser Cut High Rise Boy Panty (Medium) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072HNSDGJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_cPrODbKZYBQZY

Nightgowns:
Ekouaer Women Sleeveless... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R56K2WS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Ekouaer Women's Nursing... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R8MKN47?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I also used My usual Always pads which were sufficient. I didn’t need a peri bottle. While in the hospital I used a robe and button down shirts which were helpful when breastfeeding and for skin to skin. I got a belly brace from amazon which I did not find helpful at all.

EDIT: these are the most comfy pants ever. I recommend! HDE Women's Maternity Yoga Pants Pregnancy Stretch Fold Over Lounge Leggings (Heather Gray, Medium) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0714FZQ3T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3WrODbD7TD0QP

I’m getting these for my girls. I think it’s something they will be able to wear again and they can wear leggings with it to feel more comfortable! Asherbaby Womens Stripes Print Sleepshirt Button-up Shirt Dress Lounge Sleepwear Blue US M/Tag XL https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078W33MR9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_wqqXAb1CBN86X

u/ilovepeanutbutter86 · 1 pointr/beyondthebump

I wore this in the hospital and I still wear it a lot. Not super stylish, but so comfy. I bought one a size up. It turned out that the buttons go far enough down to breastfeed, if that's useful to you. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MYQ8AZQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_4kEaAb016P7PD

u/c13r13v · 2 pointsr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I usually wear a satiny slip from Victoria’s Secret under my cotton shirt dresses for work. The ones on the website now have a criss cross back, which is different from the styles I have, which are just straight straps.

https://www.victoriassecret.com/vs/lingerie/slips/victoria-s-secret-satin-lace-slip-f4f3a631-8c4c-4bf4-8c7b-67f4e2ff5eea?stackId=8ec0f114-9200-47da-a22d-cd99f29a8166&brand=vs

I also recommend Natori:

Natori Women's Satin Chemise, Rose Dawn/Pink Dogwood, L https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NPMNJKS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_eOayDbY6STT83

This is what I packed. It's long enough to walk around, so comfortable, easy to go to the bathroom in and easy access for breastfeeding or skin to skin.

u/Dryim · 3 pointsr/BabyBumps

You NEVER have to be naked for your pregnancy or childbirth! You will, at one point, inevitably have to be without pants, but no one can MAKE you undress if you are not comfortable. They can tell you they 'need' you to do all sorts of things, but your body is your body, and you have a right to say where and when you will undress.

This is my favorite L&D gown-- for in hospital or out. You will NEVER have to take it off. If they section you, they can open up the bottom and leave the top on. The back is open if you need an epidural and the front is flattering and nonrevealing, while also being nonrestrictive.

http://www.amazon.com/Pretty-Pushers-Disposable-Delivery-Labor/dp/B002OFVEWW/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1324733193&sr=1-1-catcorr

You also have the right to refuse any and all prenatal care if you so choose... for example, if you feel uncomfortable with pap smears or vaginal exams, you don't ever HAVE to get one. Most people do, but there is no law forcing you, even during pregnancy. If you're uncomfortable with a procedure, just say no. Generally speaking, your baby will not suffer if you refuse regular pelvic exams... it is just less likely for your doctor to be successfully sued. If they are worried about active labor, they can check from the xhiphoid process (the little bone at the bottom of your ribs) once you can't feel a space between the two anymore, you are fully dilated. No internal checks needed. http://wonderfullymadebelliesandbabies.blogspot.com/2011/07/dilation-how-to-check-without-checking.html

As for sex, you shouldn't do it until you are fully healed... but it will be no different. If you start too soon it may be uncomfortable, and the recommendation is 6 weeks because that is when your uterus will be back to it's normal size/shape and you should have stopped bleeding. Some women are ready before, though, and some are ready after. It's all up to how you feel.
