Stuffed Animals And Plush Toys Buying Guide
Cute stuffed animals and plush toys abound online and offline markets everywhere you look. And, of course, buying these cute toys for kids is always on the shopping list of almost every adult. Some of us buy plush toys for our romantic partners, especially on special occasions.
So buying a stuffed animal plush toys is easy, right? Not quite, if you want the plush toys to be safe for the kids or an adult recipient.
Here's how to buy stuffed animals and plush toys that are kid and health-friendly.
Choose high-quality toys
Choosing a high-quality stuffed animal plush toy is a key factor to consider before buying one for kids. Look for tightly sewn seams, soft stuffing, and no loose parts in the toy. Good quality plush toys also have a sturdy construction, so they won't lose their shape as easily.
Children love to throw their toys around, and a poor quality toy is prone to tearing easily, which can become a choking hazard for them.
Go for washable toys
Stuffed animal toys that are washable and machine-wash friendly will not only help you to keep them clean and sanitary, but they also last longer. Washable toys also make it easy to remove germs, which can pass on to the kids when they bite the toys.
Watch out for sharp edges
Plushies and semi-stuffed toys can sometimes have sharp edges on them, which can be dangerous for young children. Although these types of toys can have a realistic appearance and be very attractive, they are not ideal for kids to play with. In addition, loose string and plush toys with removable parts are not kid-friendly as well.
Read the label
Labels in stuffed animals or plush toys can be a great source of information about whether it is safe for the kids or not. A plush toy that says "non-toxic" is always a good choice over one with no label.
"time to end boredom"!
I don't think I need convincing to do much really..... But I had a friend into pole dance/fitness who went to lessons as a hobby and she told me how fun it was and an amazing way to keep fit. I was dubious at first but I went along with her and absolutely loved it!
Could I be cheeky and ask for two things (the combined price being £12.11, which is $18.33) if I win? Being this and this.
I don't think I need to point out why that first one is awesome. It's a giraffe and it's frickin' adorable. ♥ ♥ And the second, because they're cute and feed my love of Alice in Wonderland and jewelry!
Thanks for contest!
I think the most Classic Christmasy basket would be the 12 days of Christmas! Obviously it wouldn't make sense to get 4 calling birds and 5 gold rings, but I do think it'd be really cute to continue with the ascending order theme!
Depending on the charity that you're giving it to, you can theme the items in the basket around that. So lets say if the charity was kids based, you might do something like-
I really put all of my eggs in the same basket with the children's charity, but I do think that the concept is versatile. If this isn't a kids charity and you're able to tell me what it is for, I'd be happy to make a new list to fit! I had a shockingly great time making this one. Now I'm wishing I had a kid to use this idea on!
Not sure of your company's budget, but this ends up being about $275 with shipping-- (to Arizona, may vary) which is up there. But it would be a pretty memorable gift basket!
Happiness is required in life
Oh and my new thing - I am sucking it up and heading into a psychologist and finding out if I am on the autism spectrum, or if it is something else. I go in on the 7th and I am pretty nervous about it.
Normally I like to be surprised but if I have to chose - could you get my 4 year old is turning 5 next month and she would LOVE This pony
I have been picturing a vintage circus nursery for the past four years and I couldn’t be happier to have finally gotten my chance to make it a reality! We’re first time parents on “Team Green” and wanted a gender neutral space that could be used for more children in the future, should we be so fortunate.
After falling in love with The Greatest Showman, I decided to work in some distinct references to the movie— the crib is Jenny Lind style, the poster is a reproduction from the “hammer song” in the movie, the ceiling light fixture is inspired by the ropes scene and “Rewrite the Stars” song, alphabet blocks spell “A Million Dreams Are Keeping Me Awake” and—of course—a spinning lamp that sends light patterns swirling. Most everything are hand-me-downs or purchased off Craigslist, with lots of custom sewing projects by my Mom. It’s a total (and colorful) contrast from the jaw-droppingly gorgeous modern, neutral-colored nurseries that are popular right now…but it’s exactly what I’ve always wanted <3.
Sentimental/Homemade favorites:
Favorites that can be purchased:
Best gift ever? A large cardboard box. Seriously, see if you can get one free from a furniture or appliance store. You and he can turn it into a spaceship, a race car, a house, a pirate ship... possibilities are endless!
In terms of something you can actually buy on amazon... marble runs and magnetic building sets are great if you don't already have them. Maybe a fossil dig set? Or these adorable plush dinos?
Books are always great too - in particular, this one is pretty incredible; you could also go with a more general dinosaur reference book like this or this; or a Spiderman story collection like this; or a fun set of beginning readers like this.
Allow me to take the shotgun approach, seeing as how you didn't give us much information about what she likes:
If she likes anime: Totoro is pretty cool or something a little more 'traditional'. Maybe buy her an anime series box set.
If she likes jewelry: Stuff from here or here
If she likes art: This is a great book or perhaps some designer toys? Also, art prints are fantastic too, though you will have to buy the print and frame it (fragile).
If she likes music: Buy her an album that she doesn't own. If she is an audiophile and uses a record player, than buy it in the form of an LP if possible.
Also, it is October and she is in Germany (i.e. Oktoberfest), so if she likes beer then buy her a German stein or something similarly themed.
$25 item
$10 item
$5 item
I think you should do one prize of $25, because most of the contests held offer prizes ~$5 or ~$10... it's more unusual to get someone offering to spend $25 on someone in a contest so I think that would be best! Although it's nice to gift lots of people, you don't always get a chance to get the higher priced items on your list! (for example I've never been given the chance to ask for the pencils I linked as my $25 prize!)
But do whatever you'd feel happier doing! :D Thank you for the contest!
don't go talking too loud you'll cause a landslide, Mr Jones.
1.) I've always loved the cedar pencils. =D
2.) Inspiring jealousy throughout the sciences!
3.) Students, teachers, and EVERYONE will smile! =D
4.) My calculator refuses to be revived again. =(
5.) It's RECESS: LET'S DANCE!
6.) GOOOOOOOO $13000 DRAGONS! o_O
7.) mmmm, Coconut Caramel Corn! =D
8.) The Strange Story of the Frog Who Became a Prince.
9.) Waterproof, for biking home even on rainy days!
10.) After a smoothie for a snack, hitting the gym!
BONUS #1 –
BONUS #2 -
In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson.
This little guy reminds me of my 7 year old Munchkin! She is one of the most amazing kiddos I've ever met and I'm so proud she's mine! Plus she is cuddly with big eyes and loves huskies! If I win, I'd love any of the kids chapter books (used is fine!!!) Purple Nurple
This is really pretty, you should get something pretty or something like this which you can really enjoy. If you've got a bonus, you've earned it and you should really enjoy the money you've earned.
Perhaps though, you could treat yourself to a day out. I know it's not on your wishlist but still, it's worth doing something you'll enjoy.
Pony
I have a son, but my best friend has a little girl whom I absolutely adore. Her birthday is coming next month.

Yerp soooo I love your list a lot. So I'm probably just gonna like stalk it...take a bunch of stuff from it....yeah.
Anyways, this is the kind of thing I would get if I had a bonus. Not too big but also something that I will enjoy for a long time. :D plus it's awesome in general!
I bought the cat from Amazon since I love Hiromu Takahashi from the New Japan Pro-Wrestling https://www.amazon.com/Has-cat-plush-bigeye-thresher/dp/B01M02Z3LI (they're pretty pricey but if live in LA you can find them in an anime/Japanese store easily. it's totally worth it for me because John was right they are pretty soft.)
There's a lot of factors in play with the cost. First is that a lot of furries work in IT and make a lot of money. Second is that the furry fandom very strongly believes in paying artists a fair wage. A plushie at Target could be sold for $15, but it was made in a factory in China by people who are paid pennies per hour. The plush that was lost was a one-of-a-kind item, no doubt hand-sewn, and probably took special designing to translate a fursuit design into a small plush. Factor in materials and time spent making it, and that jacks the price up further. Compare to very high-quality plush toys carried by retailers and $300 is pretty industry standard. Here's a moose plush that's over $100. And here's a giraffe that's over $1000.
As an artist myself, I love furries. I know a lot of friends who are able to pay rent making art because furries are so good to the artist community.
Okay so I love me some cute things! Narrowing it down is hard

I don't know if the 6 yr old is old enough yet, but I loved reading this about that age.
So true on the toy story syndrome. I'm actually getting another plush sometime soon, this dude once I save up enough for him after school expenses and whatnot. Thing is my arms are already full every night, so I'll be rotating them out of my arms every night. Someones' going on night watch every night.
I am a huge Super Mario need and have been meaning to buy this:

Jetsons! I would love to have a life sized dragon - in a house big enough to hold it.

"Hideous! The legs are like 4 feet long making the bear look like a creepy gumby thing. I got this for Valentine's Day and would have rather had a cheaper more proportional bear...I mean this isn't even cute."

There's also this which isn't $80, but you'd have to get a 3rd party website to ship to the US I believe.
When I was in a relationship a few years ago, we had a whole slew of animals we traded back and forth when we did the long distance thing. There were about 8 that we had split up.. and 2 of them were larger sizes.. a stuffed penguin and a Squirtle about the size of a 1 year old. Big enough to cuddle with and not get lost in blankets. It was nice, because after we visited eachother, we would trade and they would smell like eachother.. (hers smelt like nice perfume, I have no idea what mine was like). After we broke up, she kept the half she had and threw them out, which kinda sucked..
I still have my half in the recliner in my room. Ive thought about sleeping with them every once in a while, but the Squirtle is too fragile at this point.
This loom bracelet kit looks like a good idea for Adela and this Dora the Explorer backpack for Isla.
I must have this
I chose my username when I was younger and my friend was making sprite based comics and I named my character Kalibration X13 and for short, it was Kali X13. And then it just happened. I was young....

Hi thanks for your reply.
This is all I could find.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Astra-Sugar-Teddy-Bears-Sweets/dp/B01LTIQJVK
The other reviews on the Amazon page are even more hilarious, especially:
I feel there should have been more emphasis on the lower portion of the teddy bear..... Where the emphasis is lacking is in the giant pendulous legs that haunt the lower two thirds of this stuffed freak bear. It appears to be some sort of bipedal giraffe bear hybrid. After we took him out of the box with my daughters, I expected it to hop up and sprint away down the street with a fingerless fist raised in victory. My daughter tries to hug the bear and she gets trapped in a serpentine mass of bear legs. She won't keep it in her room anymore because her friends won't visit because of the nightmares. Joyfay should sell some sort of amputation and patch kit for parents that want a more desirable short legged bear.
Maybe you're looking for something like this?
You can get isopod plushies that look like the hatchlings.
Well these are just freaking adorable.
Because I know you too well. ;)'

Gotta credit the photographer for posing it in such a way as to hide the long legs in the product photos.
On Amazon, basically same price. There are apparently different sizes of the cat, too, saw a smaller one at Korakuen today on World. I think this is the size of Hiromu's.

Lol:
> All of the pictures are taken at angles so you can't see that the bear is all legs. It's dispurportional and creepy. I feel decieved by the pictures. Considering returning.

>I did not like it ! Legs Are bigger than the body, IDK is just not what I was expected ...
