I was on low dose opioids for years because of a back injury and I found the worst part was detoxing from the fucking acetaminophen. I had horrible headaches for months.

I’m on low dose naltrexone now and I want to shout from the roof tops. It’s been a life changer in terms of pain.

I’ve also had horrible headaches from things like calcium d-glucarate and dim that I use to reduce estrogen and balance my hormones. The only thing besides time that has helped The headaches is choline. I specifically take Thorne Research - Phosphatidyl Choline - Phospholipid Complex for Cell Membrane Support - 60 Gelcaps. I’m throwing this out there in case you get headaches that nothing touches in your quest.

Choline is also good for traumatic brain injuries so it covers a lot of bases. It helps your neurons repair.

I also suggest a multi vitamin. You’re taking a lot of stuff but you could be missing things like manganese. I’m on mobile and I can’t double check to see if you’re taking fish oil but that too. I eat well too but I just find my brain and performance are much better if I’m taking a baseline of everything.

I’d also look at Nad. That stuff can be a miracle, especially for any functions related to mitochondria. I take Thorne Research - ResveraCel - Nicotinamide Riboside (Niagen) with Resveratrol and Cofactors in One Capsule - Supports Healthy Aging - 60 Capsules.

I also take Jarrow Formulas Ubiquinol Plus Pyrroloquinoline Quinone, Supports Heart Health and Cognitive Function, 30 Softgels for mitochondrial function.

The good thing about taking things for mitochondria is besides the impact on your brain it also can improve egg health in case you want kids/more kids.

I also take NAC for a clean liver. I had elevated ALT and AST liver enzymes for years because of the acetaminophen in the opioids. The NAC kept them in check. It’s also lowered my AST back to normal and my ALT to the lowest it’s ever been afterwards.

Someone also mentioned Modafinil. I take that too. It’s good stuff. I don’t get the crazy focus and drive some people get (or I haven’t since the first week) but it helps me stay awake all day. I get it from my doctor so I don’t have any sources for you. But I went to her with some studies about chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, neither of which I have but had symptoms of, and she was easy about it.

I’ve tried Qualia and liked it before an FDA mandated formula change. It’s now missing the racetams. You can get racetams elsewhere. I see them advertising on Reddit. I sometimes take phenylpiracetam if my ass is dragging.

I find that Brain Plus works as well for me as Qualia and is significantly less. It’s $20 a month vs $120. I feel like it covers enough bases. Some people don’t like the kitchen sink approach to nootropics but I’ve found it works well for me and fits what I want to spend on that particular supplement.

If you don’t follow Dave Asprey, he’s a good resource. His book Headstrong is all about hacking mitochondrial performance. He also had some health issues and brain fog and I’ve learned a lot about recovering my brain from him.

Good luck.

Hi, I've helped many in your current situation.

My best advice is too firstly follow what u/tasweigan89 said.

To minimize withdraw symptoms, I recommend Kava Kava Root capsules. Helps relieve stress, it has a reverse tolerance, gives a very mellow warm feeling to the body, isn't addictive, and it has minimal risks but you should review them yourself independently and not take my word for it.

This has helped many people through addictions, including myself.

I also take a supplement that is scientifically formulated with harmful things like herbs and B vitamins, it's purpose is to increase focus, clarity, memory retention, and restore motivation.
Majority of the ingredients have been proven to stimulant neuron growth and repair, which would help replenish your obstructed reward system from your addiction.

Money saved testing=money for sadness treats!

Yes ma’am I do. I actually take the SmartyPants Women’s Complete gummy because it comes with 100mg of Ubiqunol (the active form of CoQ10). This way I just supplement the extra methylfolate rather than CoQ10 on top of a prenatal! There are high doses of CoQ10 but not all of the supplements are created equally. Mr. Spooky is a snob and takes this one because supposedly they’re superior absorption so they’re just as good as some of the higher dose CoQ10s. I’m a big believer in them being good for egg and sperm quality but given that my cycles aren’t crazy long because I take too long to ovulate and my LP is pretty normal I feel comfortable sticking to 100mg for now. The highest I’ve ever seen in a pill was 300-400mg!

ETA: most of the recommendations for 600mg I’ve seen is for IVF with egg retrieval because you’re trying to collect multiple mature eggs in one cycle (I’ve seen ladies on here having over 2 dozen collected) whereas we only need to produce one mature egg per cycle.

Also, as promised, here are all the supplements I do take to ensure proper liver/kidney functioning. I mentioned this in my previous thread and someone PM'd me about it:

http://www.amazon.com/Spring-Valley-Milk-Thistle-Concentrated/dp/B0026QKEXY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1396637353&sr=8-2&keywords=milk+thistle

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NRTWKO/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000QUL2R4/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (I'm a big fan of this, seems to help in a LOT of ways)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0019H141C/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AWWC4O/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i03?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (This is more to help combat any, uhhh, constipation from Kratom, and is good if you are worried about any fungal or bacterial things on the kratom you are getting)

And then I mentioned these strips earlier to test at home, they are a fantastic bargain:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VSMDOE/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I highly recommend if you are a daily user like myself to invest in those. If you can afford kratom, you can afford that. And if you can't, let me know because I'd be happy to buy a few more boxes that have 100 in them and pass them along to people in need.

I hope this isn't too late. I had palpitations as well. I'd have trouble breathing, for like an hour or so, then my heart would start racing all of a sudden and I'd feel my chest open up. I did have low iron and magnesium, though. After repeated visits to the ER the doctors finally caught one episode of my palpitations and they diagnosed me with SVT. I'm not sure that's what you have, if your heartbeat suddenly jumps to 200 bpm like mine did it might be.

I'm sorry that nothing works, that really sucks. I don't feel the palpitations as much, just junctional escape rhythms (which they say are benign and have nothing to do with the SVT episodes), and my breathing issues are not entirely solved. I can relate to how frustrating and destabilizing it is to have nothing work after trying everything.

Another thing you mentioned was heartburn, have you been diagnosed with acid reflux?

And the thing I would recommend to try, when you have the palpitations, is resveratrol. I used to take a rescue inhaler that gave me horrible tachycardia, and resveratrol helped me control my heart rate; it also attenuates tachycardia, so you get them less often over time. You can take it preventatively, I would suggest something from Thorne or Paradise herbs, or Solaray. I also take amla from one of those brands. It has a lot of heart benefits

To soothe the esophageal lining, you can take DGL chewable tablets, and then take chewable digestive enzymes after you eat for every meal.

The things I'm taking are pretty safe and don't normally cause complications, but with anything do your own research and see if it's for you.

I hope you find the cause soon.

[I get CoQ10 off Amazon.](Qunol Mega Ubiquinol 100mg CoQ10, Superior Absorption, Patented Water and Fat Soluble Natural Supplement Form of Coenzyme Q10, Antioxidant for Heart Health, 100 Count Softgels https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072LD2NZ7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_8GOmDb0Q8MAJT)

Dosage is kinda a best guess thing. A couple of trials have been done at 600mg per day and another at 200 mg per day. It's a substance your body produces itself and doesn't seem to have a dosage toxicity.

u/thisoldfruit · 2 pointsr/Hidradenitis

hi there, please read!! there is hope:)!!

i had hidradenitis suppurativa from the age of 11 until i was 26 years old on my bikini line and butt. It was painful, embarrassing and really affected my confidence. At 26 I finally went to see a dermatologist in Manhattan who gave me two options. the first option was to go in antibiotics for two months or go a natural route and take a combination of two supplements for 6 months twice a day. I chose to try the supplements and it fucking worked!!!! I am 28 now and RARELY get a flare up, and if i do its tiny and goes away quickly.

Here is what to take and how often:
two times day daily (in the morning and in the evening before bed) take 500 mg of Niacinamide and 25,000 IU of vitamin A (beta-carotene).

Here links to the supplements (make sure buy a quality brand) :

https://www.amazon.com/Swanson-Niacinamide-250-Milligramhttps://www.amazon.com/NOW-Natural-Beta-Carotene-Softgels/dp/B00024D862/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=beta+carotene+25000+iu+softgels&qid=1563233280&s=gateway&sprefix=25000+iu+&sr=8-3s-Capsules/dp/B00068SIY6/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=niacinamide+swanson&qid=1563233215&s=gateway&sprefix=niacinamide+swan&sr=8-3

Other notes from my dermatologist:

Although u may think working out can make flare ups worse because of sweat, sweating is very important to help detox the skin!!! Just make sure to shower shortly.

Use a body wash with tea tree oil.

Stay away from inflammatory foods, especially dairy and processed oils.

Drink LOTS of water.

I hope this helps someone. It really worked for me and i am so
relieved.

u/Read_to_Your_Kids · 4 pointsr/Supplements

A good greens blend should be able to cover any nutritional deficiencies but you'll probably want to use several servings a day.

There are so many awesome superfood powder bramds out there. Just search superfood on Amazon.

I like Amazing Grass, and Garden of Life's Raw Meal and Green Superfood. Vibrant Health is good too.

Also, One-A-Day multis are terrible. PM me if you want my recommendations.

This one. I think it’s either the most popular or second most popular one on amazon.

Triple Strength Astaxanthin (12mg) with Organic Coconut Oil for better absorption - 60 softgels https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J2GBIU4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ZR6RCbHQ3W66Y

u/Biblos_Geek · 2 pointsr/MonoHearing

I am buying nerve health supplements because I am recovering from an acoustic neuroma - (and with vitamins many doctors think they do nothing - so keep that in mind) Nervestra Nerve Health Support Supplement, Alpha Lipoic Acid Vegetable Caps, Methylcobalamin (Methyl B12), 1000 mcg, Lozenges and Centrum but I am not taking anything for the ear for hearing health maintenance.

Anyone want to recommend any vitamin/herbal supplements for hearing heath maintenance?

While I am aware of medical literature that says vitamin supplements do nothing - it never made sense to me why vitamins absorbed in foods are good but via pills is bad (if the pills were of good quality and contained the ingredients they contained).

This one. I take 2 daily. And yes now that I'm thinking about it it's definitely given me a carotenoid tan.

I did a lot of research when I started and this was the best quality Astaxanthin I could find.

Only because I ordered this stuff:

CCL Advanced Glutathione Spray 2 OZ. Nano Pure, Effective Delivery & Absorption.

Otherwise, it looks like NAC + Selenium is the next best thing.

Actually, the one the worked best was the antacids that were part of the Source Naturals Hydrogen Boost formula, which was a combination of potassium carbonate and potassium citrate. The supplement was complete bullshit, btw, so I wouldn't waste your money getting that one. Looks like Tri-Salts might be a good substitute, though, that isn't emptying your wallet with false promises. I might actually have to get that one and try phenibut with it. It's been a good 3 months since I've used phenibut so it's high time I gave it a go.

Yeah, of course! In case you're curious, this is the pycnogenol I have been using. It's the best price for the recommended dosage (100 mg/day) I could find.

This is the one I use. I started it last cycle to try to lengthen my LP.

Can't attest to its validaty but I've talked with people who claim that the anti-oxidant astaxanthin can change your skin color. It contains the same pigment that makes lobsters red.
