Here you go. :)

The inlet is bigger than my car has, but the exhaust shop is taking care of it for me. It was buy one that fit perfect for $100 and getting it installed for $45 or or getting this one (that looks and is more what I'm looking for) for $40 and installing for $45 as well. Seemed like the better option. :)

Hey,

Welcome to the VQ Family

First things first, the best thing I could recommend to you (and all the new peeps around here) is to check G35Driver.com out. It's a gold mine when it comes to information and tutorials. You could probably find your dream wheels there.

LOOL I just checked your video out and it turns out that it's my car ^^
It's a custom Straight Piped exhaust and it's pretty easy to build yourself.
You need to hit an exhaust shop who can build it for you.

You will need a Magnaflow X Pipe and Exhaust Tips.
The rest is straight pipes. The Magnaflow Muffler is going to muffle the sound down and give you a deeper note while reducing rasp and drone. Here's a picture from under my car: http://imgur.com/D2oIcuP. It's going to cost you around $7-800 but I got hooked up by my shop since I recommended tons of people to him and I have been a long time customer since I had my 350z. I have seen people getting quoted as much as $2000.

For your wheels, check GetYourWheels. Personally, I like 5 Spoke Wheels like Avant Garde M550, Vossen CV3 or Stance SC5. If you want to go through a lot of G35s to see different wheel combinations, take a look at our car club, the National G Club ;)

Let me know if you have any question ;)

Thanks.

After a few beers...

I pulled the trigger on it as well as a new intake manifold, a gasket, a Keihin carb, (I just bought a carb but could always use a better quality one). A gang of tools. This kit arrived as well as 3 different hi flow air filters due to some order confusion.

I hope all this, when installed and tuned, at least gets me to 38/40mph faster with good throttle response and is reliable. I'm not looking for top end speed so much.

This was just supposed to be something to learn how to 'wrench' on, but lately I've been wanting to fix it up all sporty like and actually use it as transportation.

Phat mufflers don't have any foam in them, but still reduce the noise significantly. I have the 6x26 and it reduced noise output by like a half. Great buy imo if the noise of the fan bothers you.

What you're describing is called droning. I have a (very loud) full Racing Beat exhaust from headers to muffler with no cat and ive had the same issue. Stuffed my trunk with rubber flashing and trunk tunnels with foam, still get bad droning. This, however, helped me so much. The car is much more comfortable and quiet at cruise. Nearly as quiet as stock, but still a bit louder. It's only $15. No need to swap a whole nother muffler in. The only downside is that it makes the car sound like a Honda "fart can" at full throttle. Otherwise it's very nice. You can take it out whenever you want to pull up to a car meet and drop rev bombs or whatever else you do with an obscenely loud exhaust. 2 minutes to install/remove. When I ordered it, I didnt expect it to be a big improvement but was very surprised that it was. I'm very happy with it.

I'm running a flow master on my 03 V8. It sounds awesome with the resonator removed (the muffler has a resonator built in)

Took it to a muffler shop and they charged me $80 to weld it up and move the tailpipe to the side

I just made this post and it may be helpful to you

PME 2PCS 4 Holes Heave Duty Upgraded Exhaust Hanger Support Bracket Rubber Mounts https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OVW4PCM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_Udp3umSTFhrSg

I used the side without the cutout. No issues with vibration or cracking at all. I wish I had a before/after because it improved the setup drastically

Also. No bullshit, use a water based lube (astroglide) and some channel lock pliers to remove the old bushings/put on the new ones. So easy

If I were to use the shop's parts, what kind of warranty should I expect?

Amazon's fit check says they fit, although I don't have 100% faith in that.

I'd suggest the Borla exhaust offered for your model. A friend that has a 17 liked the sound of my muffler delete but like you did not want something obnoxious. He really likes the sound, and it still has a bit of rumble when you cold start it.

I have a nameless performance muffler delete and while I like the sound, it is loud-ish. Their 5" muffler is less intense, but still a bit louder than the Borla.

Ignore the stupid video on the amazon page, even my car isn't that loud lmao

u/ohsheeshyall · 1 pointr/Acura_RSX

Oh yeah, it's night and day difference. Highly recommended. Though I would recommend getting this one though since it looks sleeker and you can leave it on all the time.

Does HKS sell on amazon? it's hard to find a good place to buy HKS products and i found some on amazon that seem pretty legit but I don't want to be paying double the price of a replica for a replica. Example of what i was looking at: https://www.amazon.com/HKS-34005-FK002-Universal-Stainless-Hi-Power/dp/B000F1MS68/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=HKS+muffler&qid=1573692640&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_browse-bin%3A5566368011&rnid=4714402011&s=automotive&sr=1-5

Flowmaster Super 10s I got from Amazon, just had them installed at a local muffler shop. Also, had the resonators cut out.

Looking to get a deeper, louder sound out of my bike (TU250X). I've seen videos of people using an exhaust similar to this and it sounds quite nice:

EMGO Chrome Reverse Cone Dunstall Muffler 27-3/4&Prime, Long 80-84051 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009D3AU3M/re ... QBbSHW2986

I'm new to bikes and I know that the slip on exhaust just bolt right on, but will I need to do any tuning to my bike? Is there any extra hardware or brackets I'll need to make it fit?

u/rczrider · 2 pointsr/FordFocus

You could also just gut the muffler you have now, though that requires a bit of work and you may not have the tools.

Another option is to put in a fake / straight / pass-through "muffler" that does nothing whatsoever. $30 from Amazon: https://amazon.com/TOTALFLOW-31224-Straight-Through-Performance/dp/B07F3YS95Y

Note: I don't know if that particular one fits, but you get the idea. I'm sure there are other options that just slide over the exhaust pipe and are even less useful in terms of sound reduction.

weeelllll, the cheap way would be to cut out the existing muffler and to put in a new muffler (rather than replacing all the pipe), you can get a muffler cheap, i went with a thrush glasspack for $30 and it sounds great, but i know a lot of people like the flowmaster 40 just a quick google Here but that's a dual out so you'll need to buy some more piping to put infront of your other tire. There's also the flowmaster 44 here bit more but a different sound, also a single out, so you could keep your piping, as long as it isn't rusted. If you have a cel on for your cat, i'd recommend replacing that too as long as the truck is under 190k miles otherwise i would just say fuck it and leave it be. You can also just go with a really cheap muffler for about $40, which will muffle the sound of the engine just a bit, but not much and you get the true engine sound (minus what's blocked by the cat) or you can just cut out the muffler and stick a piece of pipe in there for full engine sound (idk what your laws are on mufflers and what not).

Edit: don't buy from my links, search some more, just didn't have time to search fully for cheapest buy, also there's tons of youtube vids of different mufflers and their sounds, granted you'll get a different sound as you have an older, and most likely different engine than that of the youtuber.

Edit: also forgot you may/most likely will have to buy a 1" to 2" transistor tube (just random numbers you'll have to measure your pipe) you'll also need someone to weld it on, or they have clamps to exhaust but they're like $7/ea and you'll need 4 if you are needing the transiting pipes, or you can buy some exhaust tape which is like a welding type tape, idk how to explain it, or you could just take it to a shop and pay $25 for a guy to weld it, which is the longer term option.

Funny part is, that muffler looks to have a silencer in it:

well it's a catback with some tips I found online "Staggered quad blue tips" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BX97V3U/ref=psdc_15726991_t1_B071KN4LRF

It depends on your car the size you wanna use so don't buy those directly.

u/MeSkata · 1 pointr/G35

Sorry I completely missed this comment man. Here is the link to the one i purchased. Just so you know, its not a direct fit. You actually have to cut the resonators off the replica and weld the xpipe in its place. I remember paying around $80 i think for them to cut the resonators and weld the xpipe. I did think about getting different kind of tips down the like but i'm currently trying to sell the car so all the projects for it are on hold. Sorry for the late response, hope i'm not too late. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XQJZ34/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
