I loved this one when I wore a bike helmet. Found hi-temp hot melt glue worked best to hold it in place.

Venzo is the brand. I love them! IMO looks good, and super functional where I mounted them. Bought a pair of anti glare. FYI, you said NY, how I have mine mounted they stick out past the handlebars about 3 inches. In case you are worried about tight spaces. But, they're totally adjustable. I pitch them up when I bring the bike through a doorway.

Honestly, I'm not sure I'd recommend bar mounted mirrors for any configuration. All the bouncing and vibration make them pretty lousy to use.

I much prefer mirrors that mount to glasses or helmets. Honestly, if you have glasses that don't sit too close to your face, this is my favorite cycling mirror.

Years ago road biking I used a little mirror that stuck inside the sunglass lens. It wasn't that high quality, but did work better than I thought it would.

I have the Blackburn Multi Mirror on my touring bike that I like really well.

When the bike has bags on it, I flip it out to the side to see past the bags. When the bike doesn't have bags, I point it straight from the end of the bar.

360 Degree Adjustable Rearview Bicycle Helmet Mirror - it is not stupid looking and wearing a helmet in the woods has benefits as well.

I use a bar-end mirror similar to this. I had to put a piece of cut-up tube in the socket to keep the mirror steady. It works pretty well.

Not much you can do with the gear indicators, but if you're looking for a similarly useful integrated bauble, there are these guys.

If you live in the US of A you generally only need a mirror on the left side. They go into your handlebar ends.

The bar attachment part isn’t there. I’ve had it wire tied onto my drop bars for ~4500mi and it’s indestructible.

They're not wrist mirrors, but have you seen these? (Not tried them myself.)
