Apologies for not posting sooner. I was sort of waiting for the Cicero deck to arrive, which it did on Monday. I like it a lot better than the Regardie deck on many levels. I don't think there are too many boobs ;)

Lingering things from Lesson 1, I did finally start a dream journal, but I know I could be better at it than I am so far.

On to Lesson 2's questions:

On question 1, I have a double cubical altar made from two of these, but it takes up a lot of space so more often than not, I find myself leaving it in the East and working in the center of my temple space. I have a robe, but don't usually wear it unless I'm working a "bigger" ritual than just daily practice. It was made for and used with the rituals from the Cicero Self-Initiation book, primarily.

I do not yet have a set of tools for this specific work and I plan to be making the tools as described in MM. I have obtained a disk and paints for my pentacle, so I'll be getting to that in the next week or so. The Moon is favorable for that, having just passed through New. When I do work with the altar in the center for the daily practice, I've only had on it my journal, Tarot cards and a pen. Of late the altar has sat in the East not only because of space constraints, but also because I currently have an Enochian Chess board set up on it.

Regarding question 2, I have not yet started with the Solar adorations with any regularity, but thank you so much for your summary of them. From that I have written a cheat-sheet and will hopefully get to doing them more regularly. I have often thought about them even if I haven't been doing them yet. In my regular daily practice developed before starting to read MM, I have a "first thing in the morning" ritual and a "last thing at night" ritual, so the Solar adoration parts ought to slot in with those neatly.

Question 3 about the LBRP, I'd written this part for question 1, but will move it here: I've been practicing the LBRP for over a year now and in the context of this working I have only used my finger. In past working, I have tried a variety of tools including a very sharp dagger which belongs to a member of one of my groups, but I only use that when working the LBRP in their space when it is my turn to open/run the ritual. OK, that's what I had above, and now I'll add that even though I have been working with this ritual for quite some time, I still find my visualizations weak and my vibratory results quite variable. I have had a few experiences, usually when working this "for" others, where I could tell the ritual as a whoe was quite effective. When I work alone, though, I have a much harder time judging the effectiveness overall and can only pick out things like, "wow, Auriel was really present there."

For question 4's topic of the Tree of Life, this again is something which I have been aware of and doing cursory study of for a couple years. I have Lon Milo duQuette's Chicken Qabalah and love it dearly. One of my magickal groups has done semi-regular pathworkings, and certainly the Cicero Self-Initiation includes a lot of pathworking also. I can draw the Tree from memory and name all of the Sephirah, but still as yet cannot letter all the Paths. I can put the Tarot trumps on about half of them (mostly the lower half and that's due to the work I've done w/ the Self-Initiation book).

Regarding question 5 and the Tarot, I have a lot of Tarot decks and have been using them to lesser or greater depths for over 30 years. I still don't feel like I "know" any of them all that well, mostly because it's been a lot of "lesser depths" until the past few years or so. Daily practice makes such a huge difference, as well as trusting first impressions rather than saying, "no, that can't be right," and then looking up in a book what I was "supposed" to get. That Cicero deck is really intriguing and I've barely scratched the surface of working with it. We'll see how I feel about it in another week or two. I've switched over to using it for my daily Tarot Contemplation Ritual, but that's only been a day or two. It's also kind of a pain to want to use the whole deck for reading versus using only the Majors for the TCR, and I haven't yet made a bag for it, so we still have a lot of setting in to do, that deck and I.

Question 6 and the format has me a bit stymied. I was very happy to see that you went from, "I wanted to put chapters 1 and 2 into the same post," to "Chapter 2 will be split up into 2 posts." DMK pitches MM as a "one lesson a month" sort of deal, and I can see value in going more slowly than that as long as I keep to a daily practice. I actually haven't even cracked MM open in the past week, but have kept up my daily journals (dream, ritual, general). I know I could be doing more to contribute, so I'll try to step up my commenting, maybe make it a daily practice ;)

It just occurred to me that when we get to making tools, it could be good to break the tool-construction topics out into a separate thread from the main lesson material. Maybe talk a little bit about it in the main lesson topic, but then also point to the tool-specific topic for going into more detail on the actual practicalities of construction. I'll need to go back and re-read what I've read of Lesson 3 to really know if that's a good idea or not, though.

As far as question 7 goes, I don't think I have much more to add at this point, other than I do feel like I ought to be doing more to contribute to the sub. I'm not yet sure how, though.

Thank you again!

It’s already been said but you definitely need a new paint color. If you are sharing with your fiance you could go with a light grey wall and add purple or lavender accents in the decorations.

If you want it to feel less cluttered/more grownup I would swap out the posters for smaller framed pieces instead. Society6 and etsy are great resources for fan inspired art pieces.

Also the headboard in general is pretty feminine/young. I picture a tall flat white headboard with an asymmetrical pattern, similar to these bookshelves:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C3Z2VQK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_AOHACb56GMV3M

Would look good with the rest of your furniture. Even if you don’t want to spring money on a new headboard I really feel like you’d be better off with no headboard instead of /that/ headboard.

Getting rid of the footboard and exposing the cascading blanket would instantly make the room look more cozy.

Also, floor length curtains look more billowy and add to the fluffiness of a room.

In general, you have a looot of stuff in a small space. If you can find storage solutions that keep stuff out of sight, that would make it feel a lot more relaxing too.

Edit: also, do you need the mirror? I was able to swap mine out and nail a $5 floor length mirror from wallmart to the inside of a closet door- saves space and is super convenient.

It is really hard to discuss rearranging furniture when we can only see 2 out of 4 walls though.... your view from laying in bed can make a huge difference in mental comfort.

Edit 2: and a fluffy shag rug partially under the foot of the bed!

You will probably want to pull storage up with shelves. Cheaper yet functional can be like this. Furinno (99557LC/BK) Turn-N-Tube 4-Tier Multipurpose Shelf Display Rack - Light Cherry/Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002JM8TIM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_L7FVDbKE23V8Y or Furinno Hidup Tropika Tall Ladder Shelf, Espresso https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005PNZ4SU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_y8FVDbB4Q6A14 yes they are light and cheap but easy to put together. They come with the attach to wall straps. Since they are light attach the straps. The movie poster idea is cool. There’s reasonable canvas art on amazon too. Try pulling in what you like to decorate with. Other ideas are find stuff at thrift stores. I’ve gotten some gorgeous stuff depending on where you live. I like keeping things organized because before you know it everything adds up. Add baskets and containers to the shelves. Any rolling cart can be made into a bar. A cool vintage framed poster over it would look nice. You don’t have to get everything at once. Take your time. Definitely local thrift stores can really help getting some things more reasonable.

Hey Gara:

If you are looking for sturdy, wire shelves that require no assembly and are reasonably priced, check out Origami. Here is an example of one of their larger units which I own, and I have a smaller unit as well.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003KWKYOW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

These are awesome shelves, but I initially had a bunch of systems on the large unit with a TV on top, and I was never happy with it. It was too messy and the TV was too high. The smaller unit is pretty good to put 2-4 consoles and other stuff on, as well as a small CRT on top.

I ultimately settled on this cube-style setup, which I am extremely happy with (very sturdy, looks great, easy assembly).

u/Pete_Dantic · 1 pointr/DesignMyRoom

Haha, I am in the same boat---I wanted to get a second turntable, but my partner wasn't really having it, plus we don't have a ton of space for it. We did think about getting some cubes and stacking them where the tall record shelf is, then putting the turntable on top of it. But we like the height the tall record shelf adds to the room. And, you're right, it does look cute, which is why we are reluctant to get rid of it. It can be found a bunch of places, like Wayfair and so on, but I got it from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01892M7QK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Ohh, I like the idea of moving the TV to be offset. We were thinking of getting a larger one anyway so that might help balance the look. Thanks for the feedback!

u/valleycrafter · 1 pointr/CozyPlaces

The shelf is from amazon!
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07546NJLH/ref=sspa_mw_detail_6?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I think it’s a bit spendy at ~$180, but it is quite strong and looks awesome. The openness of it makes it really great to put plants on as bookends too. So to me it’s sort of dual function!

u/IndoorDesert · 1 pointr/malelivingspace

So the fabric boxes idea can be shown here. The boxes on the bottom row are what I’m talking about. I’ll take photos of my curtains to show you what I’m talking about.

So this is what I’m taking about for the curtains. I don’t have an actual example of it implemented on your style of shelf, but I’ve heard of it being done. What you do is you put a curtain rod on the shelf just above the top row and you put curtains over the shelves to cover them and add color. Since you said you like showing off, I don’t think this is for you. Instead, I’d store the shoeboxes on a closet shelf and put your shoes on display as the main attraction. Maybe get a smaller 2x3 box shelf you can mount to the wall to store them in? It would make it be like “oh yah, just my $400 yeezes” and play it down.

If you have money to spare after your changes, some good speakers and a chair could make the room fun to hang out in with others. No one wants to stand or be bored in a room, so getting rid of both will make it feel more inviting.

EDIT: link should work now

u/sixner · 1 pointr/cocktails

I did a fair bit of research for a place to put my bottles. Always used a kitchen cabinet while in apartments but I finally got a house with the space to expand.. but I also pretty cheap.

Did a LOT of thrift stores, reconsignment shops, ect... was never able to find something I liked that wasn't $500+. Especially thinking about how my collection will be expanding. KEEP IN MIND HOW MUCH THE COLLECTION WILL EXPAND I feel like it's easy to outgrow a small cabinet.

I ended up going with This one. It's not the best construction, but it's done me pretty well so far. I started out with ~4 cubes [9 bottles/cube] and i'm up to about 9 of the 12 cubes now. The remainder have records, pictures, candles... stuff the wife puts out :P

Only real issues i've had with it, is 3 bottles are just too tall to fit, so they sit up top behind a plant now. Luxardo Maraschino is the most notable/common one that won't fit. Also my Illegal Mezcal and Milagro Silver.

I have just recently started collecting Vinyl. I found the perfect solution for vinyl storage on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000O1FROO/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's cheap, it prime eligable, and they stack so as your collection grows you can get more. I have to say that my most prized records is a signed copy of Rancid2000. My favorite record to listen to is "under great white norhtern lights" by the white stripes on 180 gram vinyl.

Amazon actually sells many IKEA products.
I don't know what IKEA's price is like but here's what the prices look like on amazon: IKEA detolf

They also have other shelves like this one

And then shelves for cheapo people like me :P

Hope this helps alittle.

u/WrongFont · 2 pointsr/AnimeFigures

I don't know what country you are from but if you are in the US I've looked up different ways and these organizers can look nice if you are creative and add lighting to them from what some people have shown me

There's also the Amazon shelf it's not at good as Detolf since it doesn't encase the figures but it's pretty cheap

So I'm in a 400 sq ft apartment, too.

I have a Fluval Spec V and an Imagitarium Pro (Petco brand) 3.7g. I keep the Spec V on this, which has its own dedicated part of the room, and the Imagitarium on this, which squeezed in nicely at my bedside. I think I could probably fit a 10 gallon on top of the wire shelves. Oh, and having shelves is nice because you can store aquarium supplies and other junk underneath your tank :D

Some additional advice you didn't ask for: If you're also living in 400 sq ft I assume you may be a broke student/freshly minted graduate and you may have tons of particleboard furniture. Think carefully before putting aquariums on that. A little water creeping under the veneer will make it swell a lot, severely compromising the integrity of the thing, and they're not terribly strong to begin with (an aquarium weighs roughly 10 lbs per gallon, check your maximum bearing loads!). Solid wood, strong plastic, or metal are the ways to go.

u/brotherjeshua · 19 pointsr/WhatsWrongWithYourDog

In this photo, you will see (bottom-up/left-right):

  1. Ikea: LINNMON / ALEX Table, white/gray -
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S89047259/; for providing a surface for most of the following listed after this.

  2. Edifier W855BT Bluetooth Headphones - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N4TZEEB/; for my bus rides to and from work.

  3. HyperX Cloud Stinger Gaming Headset - https://smile.amazon.com/HyperX-Cloud-Stinger-Gaming-Headset/dp/B01L2ZRYVE; this headset is connected to my computer, for gaming or if I just feel like using these instead of the speakers I will mention again sometime in the future.

  4. The Anchor - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P31BMHG/; this headphone mount sticks under the Ikea table I had mentioned earlier. Once mounted, I rest my two headphones on to them. When not in use, of course.

  5. Generic, black folding TV Tray - from Fancy Red Walmart; I use this tray to hold phone, drinks, or whatever else I'd like it to hold.

  6. Green bowl with spoon-shaped silverware, with a folder paper towel undereath - this was gifited to me, thanks Auntie!; before this photo was taken, this bowl was used to house Cocoa Pebbles and Whole Milk. It no longer houses said things, as they are now digesting in my vessel.

  7. Pint glass - from Frederick Meyer; this pint glass was most recently used to hold drinking water poured from my Britta pitcher, with water that comes from my kitchen sink.

  8. SONGMICS 3-tier Storage Cube Closet Organizer Shelf - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GDR3HHG/

  9. SimpleHouseware Foldable Cube Storage Bin, Dark Grey - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B074GKPGJH/; Items 8 and 9 are used together for storage of items unrelated to this posting.

  10. Edifier R1280T Powered Bookshelf Speakers - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B016P9HJIA/; these are speakers that I connect to my computer. They output sound.

  11. Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro L - https://smile.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-MasterKeys-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B01ITE93OM; this is my keyboard. It has fancy white LEDs that light up when you press down on whatever key you press down on. It also has Cherry MX Browns.

  12. Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller - this is the controller I use when I want to use a controller for gaming

  13. Logitech G400 Optical Gaming Mouse - https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Optical-Gaming-Mouse-910-002277/dp/B0055QZ216; my second-favorite mouse - with my first being the Logitech MX518. I love the shape of these mouses.

  14. Generic mouse pad I got off of Amazon. My mouse doesn't work without it.

  15. Bluetooth speaker that I use to connect to my phone and bring to the bathroom with me when I take a shower.

  16. CORSAIR CARBIDE 275R Mid-Tower Gaming Case - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B079K1W3KB/; inside this case is my computer. What's inside the case doesn't matter for this post, as this is about my battlestation, not my computer.

  17. A Bounty paper towel roll. The Quicker Picker Upper.

  18. Talking Dalek Bank - https://smile.amazon.com/Underground-Toys-Doctor-Talking-Dalek/dp/B009Y7F744; this Dalek holds my change, while giving me threatening threats.

  19. A penguin.

  20. A flashlight. I use this when I take my dog out for walks and it is dark out. Because I don't have night vision.

  21. Below the flashlight is a container that once held M&M's. The lid of the container is shaped like the blue M&M named Blue's face. The container is currently empty.

  22. A lunch box that looks like a TARDIS - https://smile.amazon.com/Doctor-Who-TARDIS-Tote-Gift/dp/B0093DJ7LS; I don't actually use this for lunch. I use it to hold random things. Yes, it's bigger on the inside.

  23. ASUS VZ27AQ Monitor - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B071HMSZ4S/; this is a 27-inch monitor that outputs video at a resolution of 2560x1140.

Looks more like $12 but the prices fluctuate. I've got 4 of them now. They easily link together.

Thanks for the graphite tip! I think I'll try that because the burning probably isn't doable for this material.

u/sgrsg · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Sure! This one seems to be the model I've used in the past. This one is gorgeous, but kind of expensive. And this one looks pretty cool too, although I don't know how I feel about that top shelf.

I bought some $11 modular wooden cubes https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001TIFORQ/ that I just screwed the lighthouse mounts into (upside-down, so they lifted the lighthouse up like)

  • [_]<br />
  • /

and then placed the cubes on top of my bookshelf and entertainment center. It was a brilliant solution that I must credit to my gf as it avoids any wall mounting as well as lets me have the full angles. It works really well and looks sheek.
u/kris10leigh · 2 pointsr/bookshelf

IKEA is my pick if you want a full-sized shelf (I recommend trying craigslist though, people are always trying to offload those things for cheap), though I also really have gotten a lot of use out of this style of bookshelf - I think I paid $20 for one at Target or Fred Meyer one year before college. It definitely has enough room to fit your Stephen King titles and it's a good mid-height model that's easy to transport since it collapses flat. The search term for those is "foldable shelf," you'll find a few options on most store sites.

u/try_another4 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Yay, your first contest! Soon as I can get some money, I am so ready to hold my first one :)

I need this Lazy Susan-type deal to make a spinning cube with this (just so you know why I'd like the first thing) from my college wishlist :)

u/otnavuskire · 3 pointsr/vinyl

There are plenty of inexpensive options. Milk crates work. Something like this is the perfect size for records as well:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000O1FROO/

Keeping your records stacked like that can lead to them warping over time.

u/electric_creamsicle · 2 pointsr/vinyl

Here's the link for them on Amazon. I had just one for the longest time and it was no longer available but it finally went back on sale a few months ago. Pretty perfect record shelves as long as your collection isn't too big.

u/Dogs-Keep-Me-Going · 3 pointsr/vinyl

This is the one I got. Ordered off Amazon, and they estimated it to be shipped between May 16th-30th, but it only took a week! Obviously I can't attest to its long term durability at this point, but I can say that I was pretty surprised at how solid it felt during/after putting it together. I don't foresee too many issues.

u/Vessels2point0 · 3 pointsr/InteriorDesign

a few helpful ideas for studio living:

-consider a bed with drawers underneath. even if you have enough closet space, the space beneath a bed is super helpful for storage.

-consider wall-mounted furniture for things like bedside tables and bookshelves and a "landing strip" to drop of your keys, wallet, etc . for instance, you could store a ton of books above your radiator with some simple wall mounted shelves.

-if you want to divide the space with a bookshelf, get one that has no back to it and that allows you to store items from both sides. I think make it as your small gallery. You can put up a not too tall bookshelf in there so it's not hard to clean it up just like this. Then you can hang some wall art above. Then mount a light above to highlight the wall art. Just like this

The curing chamber is an open cube used for making shelves that I coated with a roll of vinyl mirror sticker in the inside. I cut a hole in the top and inserted a LED curing lamp. Since the box is made of hollow boards, the top hole is larger and the inside hole is a step for the lamp to rest on. I made a door out of scrap plywood and painted it black and attached it to the box with a piano hinge. Then I lined the edge of the inside of the door with weather stripping and added a magnetic clasp and printed a knob on my form 2. Add in a solar turntable to rotate the parts and you are good to go!

The finishing kit is nice because it contains the mess of cleaning the parts in IPA after you take them off of the build tray.

Love them, have two!

thanks for the amazon link, looks like it is priced relatively low according to camelcamelcamel.com so I might just get one for myself!

I had a similar situation awhile ago. I ended up going with two of these little standing shelves plus studio isolation pads. I secured the stands to the wall behind them with little angle brackets placed out of site just inside the storage area under the top of the shelf. It was cheap and very effective. Plus it gave me a bit of storage below my speakers.

Did you know Amazon will donate a portion of every purchase if you shop by going to smile.amazon.com instead? Over $50,000,000 has been raised for charity - all you need to do is change the URL!

I appreciate that! I was going to get a curio cabinet but all the ones I liked were crazy expensive and heavy! Got it for cheap on Amazon after a bit of digging for an etagere that wasn't tacky.

It's an etagere shelf. I can't locate the exact 1:1 copy as it also could be self-made but here are a few similar ones which might be of interest: 1, 2, 3, 4

u/Taco_Fiasco · 3 pointsr/HomeDecorating

Oh! It's a bedroom! I assumed it was a study. Have you looked at cube storage shelves? You fill them with fabric, collapsible storage bins that are decently sturdy and actually look attractive: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00KCXZ42Y/ref=mp_s_a_1_9?ie=UTF8&amp;amp;qid=1487630844&amp;amp;sr=8-9&amp;amp;pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&amp;amp;keywords=cube+organizer+shelf&amp;amp;dpPl=1&amp;amp;dpID=41tVTNono8L&amp;amp;ref=plSrch

Different TT, but yes! YU4s with a sub8. Here’s a link of what I got off foremost

u/petermal67 · 2 pointsr/ChristopherHitchens

It's fine, there are 11 shelves hidden in there. :)

I bought a single foremost from amazon. It's the right size for LPs and easy to assemble.

u/Grundelwald · 1 pointr/vinyl

I have a bunch of these from Amazon. Mostly I have these blank ones, but I have the drawers and door ones to hold accessories like sleeves and brushes.

u/sillybun99 · 1 pointr/konmari

For the non-minimalists, there's storage. I got myself one of these 9 cubby storage cubes for the kids' toys, along with a bunch of collapsible dollar store bins. I don't expect that I'll move with just items in a compact car anymore, but I still favor furniture that transports in as little space as possible.

If you can handle brown. For $8.13 and it ships Prime, you might look at this: https://www.amazon.com/Foremost-327606-Modular-Storage-System/dp/B001TIFORQ/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_196_lp_tr_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&amp;amp;refRID=7K10N62D2SH25GHKGR1X&amp;amp;th=1\
They have other colors, but the price is more expensive, around double the price. Looks like it would match the cabinet in the picture background.

I found this cool air purifying bag for 10 dollars. Really works :) Now my room doesnt smell like weed.

And this storage cube organizer has been a life (and space) saver for me

Thanks! Just got the shelf in yesterday, here’s the link to it https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B074MTMZL6/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&amp;amp;psc=1

You can by the Kallax from Amazon...but the price reflects the cost you would get shipping from IKEA in the first place.

Here's what I'm looking at currently, but note for the same price you can get 3 of what OP has posted for 33% more space!

I'm looking at using one for a room divider, so I'm leaning more towards a single solid unit.

Good alternative if you don't have an Ikea nearby.

These work well: amazon

Instead, I bought these because I liked the idea of the door on the front, but you do end up with less usable space.

u/seney · 1 pointr/vintageaudio

I got it off Amazon. It's pretty cheaply built but it does the job. Just don't overload it too much.

u/apolllox · 6 pointsr/IndoorGarden

Thank you, you can get it here: Modern Dark Brown Wood 4-Panel Open Bookcase Room Divider, 4 Tier Display Shelf Rack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073WPW4J9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MikUDb0VDRJ7X

I recently bought a couple of these for my small record collection. They seem sturdy, so I'm happy. They might have larger shelf units online as well, but these also come with hardware if you want to build your own storage center modularly.

Amazon sells something similar: Southern Enterprises Spine Book Tower - Metal Floor Shelves, Silver https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001QOGKSA/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apip_BRvZEvgrMdEhO

$15 shelf from Amazon: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000O1FROO?psc=1&amp;amp;redirect=true&amp;amp;ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00

I have 3 of these (gonna need a 4th soon) on my shelves.

u/setofallsets · 2 pointsr/vinyl

These guys.

They aren't going to win any competitions as far as strength and build quality are concerned, but they're cheap, are exactly the right size, and look decent.

I use 4 of these: Foremost 327606 Modular Open Cube Storage System, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000O1FROO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_OsfszbZ9C6P3M

Fairly cheap quality and some assembly required but they've served me well and are easy to stack. I have no complaints for the price.

u/ozzyzak · 2 pointsr/hiphopvinyl

I store my records in these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000O1FROO

I don't have room for big shelves so these are nice...no organizaing I just throw everything in together. Have been thinking about outer sleeves...

I have a laptop dock and two monitors so you can consider this based on your own needs, but I bought two of these, which I put the monitors on:

and one of these, which I put my keyboard and mouse on:

I've used these storage cubes before. Unless you've got really heavy speakers they should hold up. And you can store records in them.
