For everyday undies, I'm pretty committed to Madewell cotton-modal and the mesh-trim panties because I've been so pleased with them. They can also be purchased at Nordstrom. Not sure where you are but both stores ship internationally. Looks like I found a few pairs on Amazon, too, here and here but honestly Nordstrom provides great customer service and makes online shopping and returning easy, and I prefer it over Amazon if you are in the US. While basics, the silhouette of these panties is sexy and modern and they often have fun prints. The bikini and the thong are my go-to styles for everyday for comfort and discreet wear. Modal is a super soft fabric, one of my favorites, so I think a cotton-modal blend is very comfortable. If you like sheer, check out the mesh-trimmed ones. They are not cotton but I still find them just as comfortable for daily wear. I really like them without lacy extras because for everyday panties, lace eventually wears out, looks shabby, and is uncomfortable. Madewell also sells a handful of pretty, lacy, sexy options, though. The size XS would probably fit her. If she needs something smaller than a 0, many stores sell size 00, though for panties most stores I see just stick to XS S M L sizing (XS would be appropriate for size 0 or sometimes 00).

Edit: I found a few more sheer options. The Glossies line by Gossard has been around for a while and they are shimmery and can be found on Amazon and many other places: thong, brief, high waist brief. I Recently found this Cosabella sheer option, too: thong, bikini style. Both brands also have a number of more fancy, lacy options. More: On Gossamer Mesh Bikini and Bluebella for creative options.

Here are some plus size ones (I'm not exactly plus size but they fit around the bump perfect and stayed up!) [fruit of loom fit for me](Fruit Of The Loom Women's Plus-Size 4 Pack Fit For Me Flexible Fit Brief, Assorted, 2X/10 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CH3OKYO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_I8MQybFBMCCX3)

Here are some actual maternity ones I really like: Walmart - Smooth & Skinny Labor of Love Maternity Seamless Full Panel Briefs

I didn't mind the panty lines or that they weren't "cute". I needed them to be comfortable and provide good coverage!

Fun! I love these kinds of contests =)

For /u/Morthy

  • Posh Englishmen drink tea, right? (Stupid add-ons WL)

  • I have little shame when it comes to being ridiculous in public, but I wouldn't be seen wearing only these in public. (NSFWishlist)

  • cough This looks phallic. (NSFWishlist)

    For /u/Akelelie

  • How about a super NERDY item?! ($5+)

  • This would help me identify birds! It's intended for a person who has the bird in hand, but it's the only book I know of that includes such great details, especially in juvenile birds, which other books/apps lack. (Yeah right! $50+)

  • When you have fire, you have hope! (Stupid add-ons.)

Thanks for the contest guys <3

these are amazing and soooo confortable. I couldn’t deal with the mesh undies in the hospital for very long, so I’m super glad I got a 5 pack of these. They’re also really flattering to your shape?? Which I thought was weird, but it’s really nice that they don’t feel like legit granny panties.

I also got this to wear after I could shower for the first time and not only was it super convenient, it is EXTREMELY soft and comfortable. There were a couple of other nursing nighties I got from motherhood, but this was the most comfortable.

Slippers or flip flops are definitely a must. At the suggestion of ladies in my bumpers group, I took flip flops instead of slippers and I deeply regretted that decision - my legs/feet were WAY more swollen after delivery than they were beforehand, and flip flops were super uncomfortable.

I bought a soft cotton robe as well and that was really nice to have just to throw on between nurSe/doctor visits to the room.

A lot of folks are mentioning padding - padded (gel) seat covers, padded shorts, etc. Not bad advice, but I kind of think a lot of the benefit of good bike shorts (regardless of what kind of junk you have) is that it sort of holds stuff in place and compacts it down a bit, you know? You might even have to arrange your labia a bit when you put the shorts on, to make sure they don't get tucked in there in a way that they're gonna get more pressure on them rather than less... you know? Hard to explain, but try (reading my mind a little and?) messing around with that.

And yeah, do watch out for underwear hems and stuff.

Good luck! :)

Edit: Also try bamboo fiber underwear. Or also any kind of boy shorts that don't have the usual kind of hem that briefs do.

u/mottavader · 2 pointsr/hysterectomy

Yes to the granny panties for sure. I had an abdominal hysterectomy and all my underwear cut perfectly across my incision. I ordered some online and they were perfect in that they had a comfortable yoga pant style waist in the front. Good luck and happy healing to you!

I had the same problem. Even my comfortable underwear was irritating the groin area between the leg hole area. It was always damp and itchy and I started drawing blood. It was painful and sore.

I solved the problem by getting underwear that was more than a few sizes bigger than my normal size.

The ones I bought were Fruit of the Loom Women's Plus-Size 5 Pack Fit for Me Breathable Briefs.

I'm not plus-sized, but they were big in a good way. Before pregnancy I was a size 4, but I got size 2X and they even fit over my 39 week bump comfortably without falling off.

They are breathable, very stretchy and don't irritate my groin area. I love them so much I bought another pack. They would probably be great in case of a C-section too.

I personally wash my cloth pads hot, and use mostly unbacked pads or pads backed only with fleece or microfleece. I wash them with my towels (and dish rags and other such items) in a heavy hot load. If they are PUL lined this may shorten their lifespan, although quality PUL should withstand normal hot washing for quite some time. If you use PUL, you might find that using a shield and insert type system (like Lunapads has) works for you because the PUL-containing shield becomes soiled less frequently, or you might decide to use something lined with microfleece or windpro fleece (or nothing, if your incontinence is light) as an alternative.

There's also cheap underwear [just lined with PUL]

(https://www.amazon.com/Anigan-StainFree-Seamless-Hipster-Menstrual/dp/B00KC3A9P6/) And here's [another.]
(https://www.amazon.com/Intimate-Portal-Period-Underwear-Purple/dp/B01LD4QYWY/) This can be combined with 100% cotton pads or liners that will clean easily.

If your pads contain synthetic toppers and absorbent materials like bamboo, microfiber, etc be aware that these are harder to thoroughly clean than something that is pure cotton or cotton and fleece only.

Okay, if we've addressed what you're using, we need to look at how you're cleaning them:

Yes to amazon! I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the quality of underthings I’ve got through them. I ordered some high waisted cotton underwear and they immediately became my new favorites. Comfortable and most importantly covered by butt and didn’t leave me feeling like half a butt cheek was hanging out. I esp like them with my high waisted leggings.

I find nylon/spandex blends work best. My favorite pair is the Hanes Women's 3-Pack Smooth Stretch Brief Panty. I get them a size smaller and they work really well for me. They are super comfortable and I forget I'm even tucked. After 14 months on HRT, there isn't much to tuck anymore :) But these worked well when I just started HRT.

u/brookestoned · 1 pointr/askwomenadvice

It says they’re unavailable right now but I’m sure they’ll restock soon! Get over to Costco if you can, I guess they have them there right now :)

Yup. Positive coping tools. Exercise, rest well, eat well and sleep well. And enjoy the HELL outta sleeping in the middle of the bed. It rocks! I know you may think that 15 years is wasted, but its not. And not being in a relationship doesnt suck. You get to do what you want, when you want it, how you choose to do it. You dont have to worry about any of that. And you get to decide what path your life takes from this point forward. What did you miss out on? What would you really love that maybe you didnt know about before? What new is there to learn out there? Where can you take a painting class that you can drink girly drinks while painting? And just in case you were wondering, you can buy THESE for only $14.99 on amazon! Treat yo'self!

u/smithee2001 · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

Try this. I dont think there is a universal term, so you might have to be creative with your search terms. I used "women's underwear thigh length".

Obviously this type won't work if you have to wear shorts, short shorts or during warmer/hotter weather. Hope that helps!

Edit: You can also try "women's boy briefs" (instead of boyshorts). I have some Ginch Gonch women's briefs and they are the most comfortable briefs! :)

u/aelwydevenstar · 0 pointsr/FrugalFemaleFashion

Honestly, they aren't the most flattering underwear but by God are they comfortable. Very soft organic cotton which is great for your vaginal health also.

u/GenderMeNot · 1 pointr/crossdressing

I see you're already on Amazon, usually they have multi packs of really cute panties. I personally got this one and they were all super cute and comfortable.

u/todayonbloopers · 1 pointr/AskWomen

i bought them from aliexpress, but here's a link to the ''white label'' version: https://www.amazon.com/YOYI-FASHION-Breathable-Leakproof-Panties/dp/B01HFXTH1W/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1520867656&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=YOYI+FASHION+period+panties&psc=1

if you want to find the mass-produced and brandless (and much cheaper... i got those same set of 3 panties for like 10 USD) version, search ebay or aliexpress with ''mesh holes leakproof underwear''. make sure they look like that picture and have the protection in the front! many of the cheap period panties only protect the back.

u/ilovekittehs · 3 pointsr/birthcontrol

I hope your IUD works out well for you! BC and I had a long and not so great relationship, so now I'm not using anything and deal with very heavy period and acne now because of it. I find myself missing it once a month.

In case you're looking for more period panties, I'd recommend these because they work just as well and are far less expensive. They have a thong too.

u/LionInBed · 2 pointsr/men_in_panties

It’s These
I had searched too and these never came up until recently! I’m happy with them although they definitely run on the small side

u/snoozer39 · 1 pointr/Assistance

I tried to find actual THINX on Amazon but they don't seem to sell there. I have found these though

https://www.amazon.com/4period-Absorbent-Sanitary-Protective-Underwear/dp/B015AMKJ5I/ref=mp_s_a_1_11?keywords=thinx+period+panties&qid=1568222375&s=gateway&sprefix=thinx+&sr=8-11

Not sure how they are but they seem similar. Haven't used these myself and unfortunately they don't ship to me country either. But at the very least they might help you with leakage until you get used to a cup or the reusable pads.

The website for thinx is https://www.shethinx.com/ in case you are interested at a later stage (Not cheap though)

u/Clownhooker · 1 pointr/PlusSize

Huh! I have a pulse sized hour glass. So fat a$$ and tiny waist. So all underwear gets consumed between the cheeks, I’m cut up front, terrible. For the longest time I solved this by wearing thongs, least amount of fabric for the CONSUMPTION. They were few and far between though as far as comfort, but our 20’s went about comfort right.
Now I just go for moisture wicking and call it a day

You're certainly not alone in your fears. There's no shame in not being able to use tampons or just simply not wanting to. There's no one right way, different things work for different people. I never really liked putting things inside and I'm almost 30. Now I use reusable pads since I had issues with itching and sores from disposables, but I do pair them with period underwear which is a big help.
