u/Hope1976 · 1 pointr/speechdelays

I sent this email to my coworker about a little over a year ago. Hope it helps!!

Hi,

Here is my list.  I hope the links work or I wasted a lot of time.  LOL

Parent Books:

My Toddler Talks: Strategies and Activities to Promote Your Child's Language Development

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1477693548/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is the book I liked the best.  To the point, and gave me things I could actually do.  And oh my God, it helped so much!!! He learned and grew SO much after I implemented what I read in this book.

It Takes Two To Talk: A Practical Guide For Parents of Children With Language Delays Third Edition

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0921145195/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

kind of long, a lot of detail, but explains types of speech delays and how children learn to speak

The Cow Says Moo: Ten Tips to Teach Toddlers to Talk: An Early Intervention Guide

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1482794403/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This book is alright.  There were some ideas in it that I'll use.  I'd recommend it if you want more ideas/books after the Teach my Toddler to Talk book

Children Books and Flash Cards:

Little Blue Truck Lap Board Book

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/054405685X/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is a great book.  There is a lot of action in this book and has a lot of association between animals and sounds.  Very engaging and rhyming.

Bright Baby Animals

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0312492480/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

simple words, simple REAL pictures and one picture per page so as to not overwhelm.  Great book to teach first words.

Elmo Says... (Sesame Street) (Big Bird's Favorites Board Books)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0375845402/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is an action book, so your child would touch their nose, touch their toes, etc.  relating actions to  words is engaging and also the association helps foster language attrition.

From Head to Toe

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0064435962/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

same as the above book.

Head Shoulders Knees and Toes

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0859537285/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Teaches body parts, has hand movements, rhyming/song  My son loves this book

My First Touch & Feel Picture Cards: Animals (My 1st T&F Picture Cards)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0756615151/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Real pictures and has different materials to touch like rough, sticky, etc.  Works well, my son likes this too

My First Touch & Feel Picture Cards: First Words (My 1st T&F Picture Cards)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0756615186/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

same as the above, just other words

DVD’s:

Baby Babble Beginning Words

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015NERXBQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So, some speech therapists say to have NO screen time.  Well, I put this on when we’re on long trips or if my kids just wants to chill.  There are several different dvd’s in this series.  I have 3.  He said some words he’s never said before after watching these.  I would recommend engaging WITH your child while watching these if you can.  If you can’t and you’re driving somewhere, then so be it.  It still helps in my opinion.

Baby Signing Time

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DHMCVKK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this.  I used this w/my daughter too.  Taught them both a lot of super helpful signs and words.  The video is super cute and the songs are great too.  My kids both love this DVD.  I would definitely get it.  In fact, I bought it twice bc the first dvd got scratched up due to use.

Toys to encourage speech and language development:

4.5" Set of 6 Wolf, Lion, Owl, Penguin Wild Animals Plastic Nesting Dolls

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L2UAVA0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is great.  My kids love this.  It teaches the animals, sizes, opening, closing.  in and out.  super cute.

Tot Tube Playset - Toy Car and Ball Tunnel Ramp Race Track by Inspiration Play

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PFB0JTQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My kids LOVE this.  super simple but fun.  Teaches taking turns, action words like "go" and "fast", use words like "ball" and "car" and "bounce"

Melissa & Doug Zoo Animals Sound Puzzle

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0029N2NLU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

In general, speech therapists don’t like toys that make sounds, but this puzzle my son loves and I make the sounds with him, he mimics me, so it works.  Also, there is a high association with puzzle making and language development.  So we work on puzzles a lot and he’s gotten a lot better at them.  It helps also to say “tuuuurn” to turn the puzzle piece and that kind of thing.

Melissa and Doug Jumbo Paint Brushes

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000M5J7W0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

We bought water paint and have a big big roll of paper that we cut big pieces off and lay on the floor.  We paint and he uses these easy to handle brushes.  I’ll say words like “let’s paint” and “gentle” and I’ll name colors (but do not expect him to learn them).  I’ll make a face or something and tell him what I am drawing.  Called “self talk” or I’ll do “parallel talk” doing this too.

Melissa and Doug Latches Barn Toy

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B1V12KS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I HIGHLY recommend this toy.  Probably my favorite.  There are activities in the Teach your Toddler to Talk book that I used with this toy.  You say things like “Pig in” or “open door” “pig says oink oink” so it teaches actions, animals, sounds, and the latches are entertaining for opening and closing.  It’s engaging.  Super cute.

Melissa & Doug Hide and Seek Wooden Activity Board With Wooden Magnets

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014E7DIS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I’d recommend this toy too.  You can say things like “what’s behind the barn door?” or “where is the dog?” or “cookie!” and pretend to eat the cookies.  Super super cute.  Has helped him with several words.

Wonderworld Rainbow Sound Blocks - Stackable Hollow Shape Block Toys - 7 Piece Set https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005BHUU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

we love these too.  They make sounds and are different shapes and colors.  We use these alone and with other blocks.  We say things like “up” and “put on” and “uh-oh” “fall down” “pick up” “shake shake shake”  He likes these, so does my daughter

kilofly Kids Mini Band Musical Instruments Rhythm Toys Value Pack [Set of 12]

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C84SUUM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is just fun.  The kids like to make music.  The whistle helps with oral muscles.  The music helps and you can sing songs with it. You can say sounds like “boom boom boom” and “cling cling” and then use songs that help with rhyming and such that I have in that list for you.

And then just bubbles.  Buy bubbles.  Teaches breathing control and the words “bubble” and “pop” then you can teach the sign for “more” when your child wants to blow more bubbles.  Because you’re supposed to close the bottle each time and then they will want more and you say “More?” and then you sign it at the same time and then you say “Oh, more, okay!” and open it up and blow more bubbles and repeat until they start signing or asking for “more” or “more bubbles” or “bubbles” or “open”, etc.  So buy bubbles.  Lol.

My son loves basketball so we teach him “bounce bounce bounce” and “shoot the ball” and “make a basket” although he only says “ball” so far.  But its something he really really loves.

We go on walks and point things out.  Or if we are at a fountain or something we sign and say “water, water” and just keep repeating it.  Every once in a while he will say “wah wah” so that’s something.  More than we had.

He can say “juice” and he would say that for every liquid he wanted.  So in the book, it said to give choices.  So I make a cup of milk and a cup of water.  And I say “do you want milk or water? “ or I say “milk or water” and I sign milk and water when I ask.  Then he will say and sign “Milk” which he NEVER did before.  But that was bc I gave him 2 choices and neither was juice so it forced him to tell me what he wanted.

Anyways, I hope this helps.  I did a LOT of research and reading on the types of toys to get and HOW to encourage talking.  So hopefully I have saved you some time.  I can tell you it’s worked wonders for me.  He went from saying 3 words to saying like 20 in 3 weeks.  It’s a work in progress but I feel really good about the direction we’re headed.

Let me know what you decide to buy and do.  I would love to hear about your progress.

  1. To feel 100% again. I had a terrible stomach virus yesterday and I could barely eat. Feeling a little better today, but not quite right. Maybe a hug or smile too
  2. I LOVE LEGO! I actually have a little LEGO Darth Vader collection. All those sets are super expensive now, so I think some LEGO Lord of the Rings will still be great. My absolute favorite part of the book!
  3. Yaaaaaaay!
  4. I'm part of a team!
  5. Gifted before! :)

    Thanks for the little contest!
u/LoganNolag · 2 pointsr/lego

For $150 I would get one of the modular buildings. My favorite currently available one is the Grand Emporium (http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Grand-Emporium-10211) but the Fire Brigade (http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Fire-Brigade-10197) is the oldest one so it might be a good idea to pick one up before it is discontinued.

If you're into Star Wars the Ultimate Collectors Series B-Wing is on sale right now for about $150 on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Dailego-B-Wing-Fighter-10227/dp/B009OJGLR4/ref=sr_1_10?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1371520022&sr=1-10&keywords=lego)

Another one of my favorites is the Kingdoms Joust set (http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Kingdoms-Joust-10223). It goes really well with the Medieval Market Village which is unfortunately discontinued but you can still get it for about $150. (http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Castle-Medieval-Market-Village/dp/B001USHRCK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1371520318&sr=8-1&keywords=medieval+market+village) $150 is almost twice the original MSRP but it is still a good value as you get around 1600 pieces.

If you are into architecture you might want to consider one of the larger Architecture sets such as Imperial Hotel (http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Imperial-Hotel-21017) or Fallingwater (http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Fallingwater-21005). I don't have either one of these but I do have the Robie House (http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Robie-House-21010) which was a thoroughly enjoyable build.

There are also some fun train sets for less than $150 like the Horizon Express (http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Horizon-Express-10233) and the Passenger Train (http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Passenger-Train-7938). The Horizon Express is a very detailed model but it has no track or train motors. The Passenger Train is a much simpler build but it has track and a motor so it is more like a traditional model train set. Of course you can get a motor and track for the horizon express but you will have to buy those separately.

Hope this helps.

We gave my youngest these Rainbow Sound Blocks last year for Christmas. He was only 3 months old, so didn't use them for a while but he sure has gotten lots of use out of them as he grew. We'd use them to try to encourage tummy time and crawling, then as he was able to sit up he'd just grab and shake them. Now he loves stacking them and knocking them over, and loves looking through the coloured panels as though they are goggles.

(I linked Amazon for ease, but if you are interested you might be able to find them cheaper elsewhere)

u/Cassiemeow · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Have you ever seen THIS?

Don't you wish you could build this too?!

I love Star Wars thanks to my boyfriend for getting me hooked on it couple years ago! I effn' love C-3PO, R2-D2 and the Ewoks!!! I also love chewbacca!!

u/Spythe · 1 pointr/FulfillmentByAmazon

I posted some tips above

I've been above by 5 dollars and owned the buy box on certain items... I know because I use a repicer but manual set my highs/lows and still monitor on a regular basis.

There is a few reasons why someone can own a buy box over another seller, its not solely price.....

THIS IS ALL SPECULATION FROM MY EXPERIENCE

I believe inventory amount matters

Price

Seller feedback %

Sellers simply being eligible for the buy box or not, sometimes you just won't be eligible for the buy box on certain items(don't think I've experienced but see the line on the seller app)

There is probably a dozen more

Another thing if you're price so far above the MSRP or the price someone assumed was the MSRP when they created the listing.... You won't be able to win the buy box, that is why you see "available from these sellers" on listing.

https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Ultimate-Millennium-Falcon-Building/dp/B075SDMMMV/ref=sr_1_19?s=toys-and-games&rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1522026746&sr=1-19&keywords=lego&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011

Like this example, the price is out of the buy box range so no one actually wins the buy box.

u/TyDiL · 2 pointsr/lego

Firstly, welcome back to LEGO! Second, I'm sure that kid enjoyed your gift a lot.

As for your $50. I would suggest creator. Everyone of those sets comes with three different builds and instructions for all of them. The smaller sets at a range of $20 have a fourth build available online. I have and loved the sets linked below, all of which have multiple build options and look great. For the future, I'll suggest buying sets in the $30 range if you want the most for your money. I noticed that no matter what theme you buy, the $30 sets give you much more than what you think you should get for the money.

I was under-impressed with k'nex. My daughter is under its recommend age so it is understandable that it was not her favorite even though she loves all of her other building toys. Still when we tried to build with it, it was super un-intuitive. It really only works if you follow instructions, I found it really difficyult to just build with it like you would Lego or Magna tiles. Magna tiles on the other hand were a huge hit and continue to get play.

u/theadvenger · 1 pointr/vancouver

Yes, and if it was priced $10 in Canada, and $10 in the USA, you would be crazy to buy it in the US, I would not disagree with that! Further, if you were American why not come to Canada and buy it for roughly $7.50 USD after exchange right?

However, not all things are priced the same in the US and Canada. So for example, a 5lb brick of cheddar cheese in US is $9.85 ($13.13 CAD), while at super store (2.27kg of No Name Cheddar) in Canada it is $25.98 CAD. So yes taking exchange into consideration that brick of cheese is almost $13 cheaper in the US.

Or maybe look at Gas, its currently $1.869 USD/UsGal across the line and 110.9/litre in Vancouver this morning.

$1.869 is $0.494 US/litre... well even after exchange that is 65.8 CAD/litre.... 65.8<110.9 no?

Heck look at lego.

LEGO City Great Vehicles Auto Transporter - 60060 $79.90 from Amazon.ca (CAD)

LEGO City Great Vehicles Auto Transporter - 60060 $26.98 from Amazon.com (USD)

It really does not matter if you want to say it is $59.92 USD vs $26.98 USD, or if you want to say it is $79.90 CAD vs $35.97 CAD. The price is cheaper in the US regardless of what currency you get paid in.

TLDR - Who is talking about paying more? Further, what you get paid in is irrelevant to the discussion.

Yep, my favorite was the robin hood castle I got for christmas, it had the base piece that resulted in some pretty awesome toddler-era architecture.

I looked at the kits nowadays and it looks like the very specific pieces remove a lot of the creativity:

It's funny you ask that. Last night, as a pal, and I were working on putting together a bit of the Millennium Falcon Lego set. That topic came up.

It's a fun little project for us to do, and gives us a chance to get together, and talk about all those things that 98% of folks would just stare at you saying, "Really? Man, you are the biggest dork I've ever met."

I brought up having a fun bit of banter on Reddit with someone, and we were disagreeing about which Indy movie is the best. So, we of course had about an hour long conversation rating the movies from best to worst. I asked him how he felt about The Crystal Skull, and he gave me the answer I will now use if the topic ever comes up again. After asking him, he said, The Crystal What?? I've never heard of that movie..

So, there is my overly long worded opinion that the movie is in fact, like eating a hot circle of garbage. Then again. If you threw that movie in. I'd watch it, and not say a thing about what I think about the movie. Because, Harrison Ford.

u/swirly023 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I don't want to win the movie (good luck to everyone else!) but had to comment in here. As a girl who grew up with lego's AND loves The Simpsons I would love to own this, this and every other piece someday!

u/readermom123 · 5 pointsr/Parenting

We really like the Lego Juniors sets. They have a big chassis that the cars are built on so it gives an easier 'base' for the kids to start building with. There's a [wrecking ball] (http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Juniors-6061876-10667-Construction/dp/B00IANUDPQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1427544481&sr=1-1&keywords=lego+juniors) and a digger.

There's also a duplo construction set that might be interesting enough to him, it's has a cool swinging piece and a bulldozer and dump trucks. I thought the 'car' set was really neat too because there were so many little chassis and accessories to put on top. I also found out from husband recently that tiny Lego can actually fit on top of the Duplo so he could possibly built a simple car or wall and then you put the 'cool' arm or whatever on top of whatever he built and let him play with it. I think you just need to model the construction and destruction of simpler pieces to him.

Thanks for the feedback guys! So now if I could buy you just one last time, which would you get?

A brand new toy (though similar), like this one or an additional compatible set with new shapes to compliment the magnatiles?

The two things my boy loves are vehicles and building. This is his for his 4th birthday if that makes a difference. Thanks again!

u/Jendu32 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Thanks for the contest. How about these legos for the little man. It is so cool to watch him follow the directions and put them together by himself. I'm a proud Momma because he can do this and will only be 5 in a few weeks! :) Hope all is well with you a Breslynn. <3

LEGO Star Wars Jedi Starfighter and Kamino, LEGO Star Wars Republic Assault Ship and Coruscant, and LEGO Star Wars Naboo Starfighter and Naboo! I know how much you love Lego sets & Star Wars, so I think this would be a great addition to your collection. :)

If you pick me, I'd love to get a gift card, or you can surprise me! :D

SOOOO happy you finally reached your goal! I am starting to feel like my camera may take a little longer than I hoped (my boss just told me I need to get the newer one, but it's an additional $600 so I don't know about that.) but yeah!! CONGRATS!! THROWS CONFETTI!!

u/Finally_Iamhere · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I know what you want! How about a cute, badass Batman-Lego-flashlight? Or maybe you and I need to bake some dinosaur cookies. Baking and eating cookies is good for the soul, so it's a perfect therapy, you know :)

Oh, and thanks for the contest!

When using Amazon with a PC, adding to cart is stalling with certain items that use a specific 'adding to cart UI' separate from the normal UI/process. Has anyone had this or know a fix? It freezes on this screen with the progress circle spinning endlessly.

It's only using this UI and stalling on certain items like this one. I'm using chrome but have my adblocker disabled for Amazon. Using another browser helps. Enabling ScriptSafe on Chrome helps. Does anyone know about this?

It's mostly stuff for my daughter, like this Lego kit (though the Simpson's House is highest on the WANT list), as it's her birthday next month. She wants chapter books and Lego for her birthday, so I'll be looking around the shops here soon.

For me, it's a new harddrive as my I'm running out of room. I'm pretty sure that's the one I need.

u/colioptere · 1 pointr/AFOL

Looks like moving the windshield and other parts around might allow a tandem seating arrangement in that chassis. But it might look pretty bad. Minifigure scale just isn't very good for this...

What I would do is buy him another set, so he has enough parts to really experiment, and tell him to make another car for two. 60060 may be good for this. It has lots of yellow and black, and parts like the six-stud-wide truck windshield will help.

u/armada127 · 2 pointsr/videos

This might get buried in the comments, But I would just like to point out that there are two versions of each model; a more realistic expensive one, and a more play-set like one that includes mini-figures.

  • The realistic Star Destroyer (the one shown in the video) is actually close to $2000.

  • The Death Star, however is the play set one with the mini figures so it's only $400.

  • There is also a play version of the Star Destroyer for $400

  • And a model version of the Death Star for $1200.

Edit: LEGO is expensive, I've been playing with LEGO play sets since I was about 4. There is a lot of work that goes into these toys and it's kind of sad that they seem to be dying compared to the video game generation (not that I'm against video games, I love video games, I just also like LEGO a whole lot.)

Edit 2: My mistake, this is the one in the video which is $400.

    fuck.

Why in the world do men put up with this? Even when I was married, I never asked my wife's permission or had to accrue "brownie points" to get anything I wanted when I wanted. Now, granted, I'm rather a minimalist when it comes to stuff, so it was never a point of friction but I never even vaguely thought I had to get her approval for any purchases I did make.

That being said, it seems rather absurd to me for a grown man to spend $800 on a plastic child's toy, but to each their own.

u/derpleberryfinn · 5 pointsr/WatchPeopleDieInside

okay, so, this is not correct.
lego's pricing has been very consistent throughout its existence - you're not paying for design or license, you're paying for the bricks and you always have been.

the average per-brick cost of lego is about $0.09 (american).
(some are a bit more, some are a bit less, depending on how much plastic goes into the piece.)

take a look for yourself.
regardless of the license, the costs of the sets are consistent with the number of bricks you're getting. $25 sets, usually around 200-300 pieces. $60 sets, six or seven hundred bricks.

even when it's a ridiculously expensive set - like this $800 millenium falcon - you can see for yourself, the set has over 7,500 pieces.
or this one, a $200 'slave one' (boba fett's ship) with about 2000 pieces.
$30 space shuttle, 300 piece set.

very very consistent pricing.

based on his videos, this man had hundreds of thousands of individual bricks.

possibly millions.

based only off what we see, he could have lost tens of thousands of dollars worth of plastic bricks and possibly more.

now obviously, the bricks don't cost as much to produce as they're sold for, but they don't cost nothing.
materials and manufacturing time are not free - and considering the sheer volume of pieces, shipping alone would be wildly expensive.

now, it's also true that lego is the most valuable toy brand on the planet but they did not become so profitable by giving shit away. replacing even a tenth of this guy's collection isn't going to cost them nothing.

u/Haptick · -1 pointsr/movies

I guess I missed that part. Unbreakable, for me, was the best of m. night shyamalan's films, mainly because when i watched the sixth sense, my sister, sitting right next to me, leans over after the first bedroom scene with bruce willis, when he's sitting on the park bench, and whispers, "he's dead."

Luckily her son is godsend at divulging endings. Snape killed Dumbledore, Ned Stark gets beheaded, it was Kevin Spacey all along, those were the droid they were looking for, you left the broccoli casserole at home, in the oven, because you're a moron. Haha, at least I'm saving up to give him this for birthday, because he loves Star Wars and Legos.

Ah, well. I guess it's back to Skyrim for me. At least $20 can still get me hours of jaw-dropping entertainment instead of a fucking dirt bike transporter.

Not really Walmart, licensing and retail pricing has very little to do with product manufacturing. The majority of stuff you buy, not just toys, are priced far beyond the product.

Which one? this one or this one? Because IDK how you can drunkenly spend $500 let alone $2000.

EDIT: to clarify, OP ought two sets, so the first one I posted is $250 and the second one is $1,000. I was marveling at how a person is able to accidentally buy two of either option, even drunkenly.

u/8bitesq · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Hold on to your butts, kids. This party is being held a muthafuckin' Jurassic Park. Yeah. That's right. I said it. Jurassic Park. It's gonna be awesome.

The theme? Secret agents. Spies. Spy vs. Spy. That sort of thing. I'm coming as Nick Fury because, Captain, he's the spy. His secrets have secrets.

We're going to kick this party off old school with an ALL 90'S MUSIC MIX. I'm talking: Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, Backtreet Boys' I Want It That Way, Sir Mix-A-Lot's Baby Got Back (because you know /u/NJBilbo got back), Hanson's MMMBop, Beck's Loser, Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby, Counting Crows' Mr. Jones, Ricky Marin's Livin' La Vida Loca, Third Eye Blind's Semi-Charmed Life, Sugar Ray's Fly and wrapping it up with Kris Kross' Jump because we gonna jump allllll night long!

Now, for food? That's tricky. So many people like so many different things. And I don't want to be
too predictable. So we're doing Indian food. I got curries for days for you guys. Vegetarian dishes. Meaty dishes. I'm pretty partial to the chicken tikka masala. But that's me. (If you're not a fan, we've got a sundae bar, too, so just, you know, go nuts on candy and ice cream and stuff.)

Decorations? Uhm. We're at Jurassic Park. What kind of decorations do you think we have? Blown up dinosaurs with spy-style laser beams on their heads being ridden by former Presidents.

How did you guess!?

I'd show you a design for the invitations but, uh, I haven't gotten the self destruct thing figured out. They keep blowing up before anyone can read them. So. maybe some guests will be missing eyebrows. And, uh... fingers. (My bad.)

Now, let's talk presents.

For /u/NJBilbo I'm torn between this calendar (because this guy ought to keep himself organized and challenge his mind at the ame time) and the LEGO Death Sar (because it's a freakin' LEGO death star!) and basically a million other things.

And for /u/SympatheticStranger it's between a Willow Tree figure (because they are the best) and this Starfleet Academy hoodie because I like
need* one of these now.

So what do you think guys?

Party of the century?

Because I'm thinking party of the century.

Well.

Assuming no one gets eaten.
