> My last bike which was a Trek - which I loved - but it got ruined

> I wanted to buy another Trek but I've moved and the authorized Trek dealer in town doesn't sell them anymore (they claimed Trek are low quality now?)

Ah, Trek. I ride a Trek.

Treks aren't terrible. I think some of their bikes are a good value or have interesting features. But some people consider them mediocre or even sub-par bikes charging a premium price. Personally, I think that varies from line to line. Some strike me as not great. With others, I actually like the choices Trek makes.

Trek used to have a lot of brand cachet. Lots of people still seek out vintage Treks from the "good old days." Then they moved production to China, and they started doing less and less design themselves. The Treks I still like are those designed in-house but produced overseas (like the one I ride). Some, though, are just Trek marketing applied to frames they didn't even design. Those tend to fall into the meh category, by my book.

And even if I still like some Trek models, I honestly don't think Trek is going anywhere interesting as a brand. They're huge, but once you start giving up on R&D, and you stop having interesting ideas, you're eventually going to die in the cycling world.

So I don't think being a Trek dealer is very sexy now, especially compared to certain brands that are really widely-beloved by their fans.

> I bought a Jamis Citizen 1 at the end of May

The women's version of that is really a beautiful bike.

> I haven't washed my bike yet

I only asked because some people go crazy washing their bikes, using things like power washers (bad). Sufficient pressure can get past seals and strip grease from certain places, but it doesn't sound like that happened. Don't worry that you haven't washed it much. I actually think it's better to be conservative with your washing.

> From the looks of it I have v-brakes.

Oh. I thought maybe you had disc brakes. Sometimes disc brakes get calibrated wrong for various reasons. Mechanical disc brakes need to be periodically adjusted. Hydraulic disc brakes self-adjust, but they really don't like it if you pull the levers with the wheel out. That was another possibility I was thinking of for why you were slowing down. But you don't have those brakes, so that's moot.

Just in case, I'd lift up your front and back wheel slightly and try spinning manually, listening carefully to see if you hear any resistance from the pads rubbing on the rims.

While you're at it, pedal by hand in various gears and see if you hear chain rub against the front derailleur. That can get knocked out of alignment in certain ways, with enough force. I doubt you would have missed that for so long, but I dunno.

And when your friend poked at your brakes, did the sound go away completely, but stopping power went way down? Did you see what they did?

Also see if you feel excessive resistance while turning the pedals. And see how long your wheels spin, both front and back, once you spin them up to speed by hand. They should keep going for a long time if they're not in contact with anything.

There might be something mechanically wrong with the bearings somewhere? Or maybe it wasn't assembled right at some point? It would be harder to spot those things yourself, though. You probably have a warranty from wherever you bought the bike, right?

> I haven't done any maintenance yet.

> A friend at work likes working on bikes and offered to teach me but he has been busy lately so I've been holding off waiting for him.

I'm going to give you my honest opinion as a fellow female cyclist. This isn't a snipe at your friend, as I don't know their knowledge level. But lots of people who like to work on bikes at an amateur level don't necessarily know that much, but they pretty freely offer their opinion to women regardless of that, assuming they must know more or better. You don't always get the best advice that way.

I'd really suggest you research and learn to do basic maintenance on your own. If you're passionate about bikes, it's something that will pay dividends anyway. Anything you can do yourself will save money. And while it might seem like a lot of time to learn, basic maintenance is simple. If you don't learn, taking the time to pack up your back and drive to your LBS every time you have a minor issue will waste time regardless, so you're not really saving that time anyway.

Bike wrenching starts to seem a lot less intimidating once you've gotten your hands dirty a few times.

Let me give you a super brief primer on basic drivetrain cleaning/maintenance.

It doesn't matter if you carefully avoid dust and puddles. You can't really avoid gunking up your drivetrain if you're riding regularly, and you shouldn't neglect regular maintenance. Even if you're really careful, your chain and drivetrain will end up attracting dirt. All of that dirt is basically sandpaper, and that tiny bit of increased incremental wear, multiplied over many thousands of rotations, can reduce the life of your components a lot. If your drivetrain gets dirty enough, it can start to noticeably reduce performance. This may or may not be your problem.

Start with a basic degreaser. Don't need anything crazy strong for this if you're just a commuter who's careful about their riding. If you want a specific suggestion, I like Pedro's products for cleaning. I use these brushes. I'd recommend Pedro's Pig Juice for your degreaser. Oranj Peelz if you want something stronger, though I'd be careful about not getting that stuff on plastic or rubber parts (it won't cause immediate damage or anything, but it's not great for it).

If the chain is super dirty (like you can see caked-on grime throughout the chain), you can use a chain cleaner. I'd point you at the Chainpig 2.0 (the 2.0 replaces a frequently-broken plastic part with a much longer-lasting metal part), as you don't need to hold that one in place. You can find the 2.0 on Amazon. You just pour some degreaser in (Pig Juice is designed for this), lock it over the chain, run the chain around it, and it cleans it very thoroughly. I have one, but I rarely use it, as you usually don't need to go that far if you're doing regular maintenance.

Instead, you can use the paintbrush-looking brush to "paint" degreaser liberally on your cassette, cranks, chain, and front and rear derailleur. Let it soak in for a minute or two. I'd use a completely clean rag (Smart & Final has 12 packs of really large disposable cleaning cloths for like $4, and you can cut those to use them in smaller sections to be economical) to wipe any dirt off the chain, then apply some more degreaser. Use the toothbrush-looking brush to clean in between the gears of your cassette and crank, as well as your jockey wheels. The thin, pointy brush can be used to get into hard to reach places.

Let it sit for a while. A few minutes should do. Then rinse thoroughly but gently, running water over those parts from the top. You want to make sure to get ALL of the degreaser off, especially on the chain. Don't use a pressurized spray.

Be careful. Try to avoid anything spraying or dripping onto your rims or brakes. You do not want any lubricant or grime contaminating those parts. You should only use really specific cleaners for those. I actually use a disposable trash bag (the cheap, rolled-up kind) and wrap those around certain parts (I don't have V-brakes) to protect them during cleaning.

Let your bike dry for a few hours. Once it's dry, it should be ready for lubrication.

Since you're riding in a wet climate, I recommend a wet chain lube. Since you're encountering a lot of resistance, you might want something with really low energy loss. I'd recommend Rock N' Roll Extreme. It's expensive, but it lasts a long time, and it can stand up to inclement weather. It's also one of the fastest lubes in the testing I've seen. Just shake thoroughly before each use, and before transferring to the dripper bottle.

You're only lubing your chain with that, not any other part of your drivetrain. You want to apply lube consistently throughout your chain, getting some on each link. I use this to help with that. It saves expensive lube and reduces chain wear by applying lube evenly, so it sorta pays for itself. If you want to do it by hand, your lube should come with a drip bottle.

That lube is only for your chain's rollers, not the exterior. Exterior lube on your chain accomplishes nothing but attract dirt. Once you've got a nice even application of lube, let it sit for five minutes to settle into the chain's interior as much as possible. Then, using another piece of totally clean rag, wipe off all remaining lube. Try to get as much off the exterior as possible.

I also use a light oil to relubricate and protect my derailleurs. Like just one or two small drops of Phil's Tenacious Oil on each pivot point or on the axle of the jockey wheels is more than enough. Carefully wipe off any excess. If you can't really apply things precisely enough, you can use a hobby applicator syringe. It lets you apply oil without wasting any or making a mess.

A slightly damp rag should be enough to keep dirt off your bike when required. If you actually want to keep your bike super clean-looking, Bike Lust is a really nice polish, and Green Fizz is a nice cleanser that actually wipes clean. Might be overkill if your bike never gets dirty.

If you want to learn yourself, there are tons of guides on Youtube. Global Cycling Network has a million guides on things, all in a very digestible form. I'd check out their vids on adjusting your brakes, to start. Sheldon's page is great too.

Helpful info on the best water to use.
I use cold tap water. I also filter through a micron filter into 10ml amber glass resealable vials. I make my own bacteriostatic water by doing cold tap water with .09% benzyl alcohol. This ends up being 9.1ml of water and .09ml of benzyl alcohol. The benzyl alcohol I get comes in a 50ml resealable sterile bottle.

Here's a link to the 27 gauge 1.25" 3cc sterile needles I get. It comes as one unit with the needle already attached to the syringe. I get my vials, benzyl alcohol, needles, and alcohol wipes from medlabsupply. They have way cheaper pricing and everything you need is on there. Just make sure to get everything you need all at once to avoid paying too much for shipping. I use these 10ml syringes for making the actual solution. You can reuse these as long as you use a fresh micron filter as it will filter any potential bacteria.

You should really research how to do IM injections to avoid getting any abscesses/infections as you can lose a limb. IM is much less forgiving than IV as it's very easy for bacteria to spread in muscle tissue so infection needs to be taken much more seriously. You should be using a fresh needle every time, using alcohol wipes to wipe the top of your bottle of solution if you're using a premade solution, and wiping your injection site before you shoot it every single time.

I'd suggest making solutions since using a micron filter is much safer than a cotton ball. It makes it easier since you can just filter your entire solution at once and use only a single wheel/micron filter for one or two solutions (assuming your doing 10ml solutions). Then your whole vial is filtered and sterile and you don't have to worry about it until you go through the whole vial (1 gram of k per 10ml vial).

As far as injection sites the thigh is definitely the easiest and most forgiving. I'd say glutes are second. I just alternate between each thigh muscle personally. If I did it more often I'd do each thigh muscle and then one or both glutes (choose the one on the same side as your dominant hand if just doing one).

Here's a link that shows your how to find the site properly. Here's another one showing injection sites, how to find them, and how to do IM injections safely. This one is a good video for finding the injection for glutes and where your sciatic nerve is. Even after you know how to find the sites you should still look up images of the nerves that run through the given muscle you plan on injecting into. That way you can know exactly what you're avoiding and it'll will prevent accidentally hitting one.

This is definitely the recommended way to do it!

Also a related tip - for more portable dosing you can dissolve it into much smaller volumes (ie 10mg / mL), measure it out precisely with a 1mL/1cc syringe and store it in capped plastic centrifuge tubes.

That makes it easier you can hand out volumetric doses to friends, store them in your pocket for easy consumption later in the day, etc. I find 2c-b is one of the easier psychedelics to handle in social/public/crowded environments and it’s very redoseable, so it’s particularly useful to have a convenient way to take more on the go.

It’s also worth noting that 2c-b is a very hardy compound (like most phenethylamines) - it’s not as necessary to use any special water for it, it’ll stay potent dissolved in regular tap water for years. If you’re doing volumetric measuring with something more delicate like LSD then it’s very important to use water without any chloride, which will degrade it over time.

u/shantivirus · 1 pointr/benzorecovery

Dissolving the tablet takes too long, you'll want to crush it instead. I bought a simple mortar and pestle from Amazon, but you can also use a spoon and bowl.

The key to a liquid titration is to use a 100mL measuring cylinder so that 1mL = 1%. It makes the math super easy. Then you just use an oral dosing syringe to measure out the amount you need. You can get one for free at any pharmacy.

It's also really helpful to write down your daily dosage somewhere, instead of trying to remember it. I made a simple log with the date, the number of mL removed and the number of mL left.

So, for example, if I used the oral syringe to pull out 2mL from the solution, 2mL = 2%, so I'd have a 98% dose left over.

Hope this helps! :)

u/sockmiser · 3 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

I got a little one (~2 oz) to make sure I liked it and now am obsessed. I love the tube though so I got glue syringes on Amazon when I got my first tub and filled the tube with those. Super easy and worked perfect.

I fill it without the skinny tip then screw that on and go. It was super fun lol

Glad you asked! One thing we have to remember about Prime is that it does not remove the ammonia, it just renders it harmless. So the result is a "false positive" on standard ammonia tests. It will still be there but it is no longer harming your fish.

If you would like peace-of-mind you can get a Free vs Total Ammonia test kit. This kit allows you to measure the amounts of Free (harmful) ammonia vs. the Total (harmless once Prime is involved).

Even if you aren't going to get some, read the description on Amazon. It is really helpful in understanding Ammonia chemistry.

For measuring ANYTHING for your aquarium, go to your local drugstore pharmacy (Even Walmart pharmacies will do this) and ask them for free syringes. They are absolutely AWESOME for measuring anything that takes very small measurements such as Prime. If for whatever reason you can't get some for free from a drug store, order a set like this. I use the 1ml and 5ml syringes every single day.

Edit: I suck at spelling....

Excellent! Thank you!

One question for you:

I had purchased a few lure-lock blunt tip dispensing needles, like these: https://www.amazon.com/Blunt-Dispensing-Needle-Olive-Green/dp/B001QRZ31C

I purchased from a different seller last time, and I noticed when I squeezed the TruClear into the pod it looked "foggy" in comparison to a new TruPod. Wasn't sure if this was because of any particulate in the dispensing needle? Have you experienced something like this?

Tried with 2 different tips/pods/TruClears and same result.

I notice a slightly harsher taste difference in the one I filled myself and so far my hypotheses for the foggy/harshness is any of the following:

  • Air bubbles/gaps from self-dispensing the oil into the pod (?)
  • Particulate in the syringe tip (?)
  • Darker/lighter distillates mixing together, a.k.a. the new truclear mixing with whatever the old pod had in it.

What's your method for emptying the syringe into a pod (including heat up method)?

I tried using hot/boiling water and it sorta works but I haven't been able to time it right where the distillate is really liquid, it still comes out super thick even after holding in the hot water for a good 30 seconds.

I'm scared of contaminating the medicine I'll be vaping in my lungs. Or, am I over thinking this and is this a common occurrence when moving the TruClear to the pod?

I'm hoping to reap the benefits of only paying $60 for a refill syringe and dispensing into my own distillate-supporting cartridges, as opposed to the $94 for a pre-filled pod or the $74 MCT oil cut carts.

Big ups to Trulieve for their continued support, and to you /u/FloridaMMJInfo for posting up all this info and sparking these conversations :)

Wow, thanks for the thorough answer!
I'm set on trying a new roa for this trip. I think a boof will be a nice little experiment and I do actually want a shorter trip. I can't imagine what 40mg is like ha, dang. I've read that once you start getting past like 30mg, it becomes extremely milligram sensitive.

this is the only syringes I have https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0161V0024/ref=ya_aw_oh_bia_dp?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Will it be ok to use if I take the needle off? How about I just keep the needle on and squirt it up my urethra?

......excuse my dry humor -_-.......

Even if I use just 1-2ml of 4 aco dmt water, it seems like it would still flow out. Has that ever happened? Am I going to have to do the classic 'clench'?

Btw, I think I was being a bit brash about the beer. Sipping it while tripping would probably be an experience of its own. I've experienced synesthesia before (particularly tasting colors). I'll probably do some blindfolded fruit eating experiements - I'll chop up various fruits on a plate and eat random pieces without knowing which ones are which.

The setting is prettt much going to be my yard. Just chilling under the sun with beer and earphones.
I've smoked heavily on every trip so far (dxm, shrooms, 4 aco). The only difference this time is the t break. I don't see how one hit can spiral it out of control though.

u/ReverendSaintJay · 3 pointsr/electronic_cigarette

I don't know if anyone else does this, but one trick I've used to extend the lifespan of my syringes is to wrap the exterior in clear packing tape. It helps prevent the ml markings from wearing off and makes them much easier to wipe/down and/or clean when you are finished.

Not really relevant, but it might come in handy for someone coming into the thread.

Also, these dispensing tips are fantastic for filling tanks/kayfuns/foggers/etc.

u/jizard · 6 pointsr/FloridaTrees

I have fallen completely in love with pens and their portability/strength. I use one of the 510 batteries from Curaleaf (free on first purchase) and I bought refillable ccell cartridges from here and syringe tips for easy refilling. I am able to control the temperature and length of hit perfectly. The taste is great and I do not experience that awful taste like I did when I used atomizer-based vapes, if that's what you're referring to.

For shatter I will use my Yocan Evolve, when I can get my hands on the stuff...tru shatter sells out right away!

u/ShaunRibas · 1 pointr/FLMedicalTrees

2nd link is just a cap... You can use a push on needle tip works fine. The first link will "lock" the needle onto syringe but not 100% necessary... If you get something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01K1VO3E6/ref=pd_aw_fbt_328_img_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=CTE7TVHA387F1V8PPMNE sorry i don't know how to do link how you did...

You can just push it on the syringe really hard and warm up the syringe with a couple passes from a lighter... It comes out pretty easy once warm.. Warm the carts to so oil flows to bottom easily...

My Vision II spinner has 4 settings 3.3V 3.8V 4.3V 4.8V.

u/HCx · 6 pointsr/educationalgifs

Yes. Quite easily. The relationship is the following

If i have 1lb of force and want to lift something that weighs 4lbs i'll need two pistons right?

piston A with 1lb of force will have a surface area (pi*r^2) of idk, .5sqin.

piston B with 4lbs of load that you want to move will need a surface area 4x higher than piston A. so 2 sqin in this case.

The problem is when you move piston A 2 inches piston B (with the 4lb load) will only move .5 inches.

This scales linearly so if you want to lift a car with 1lb of force you can. but you better be able to move the piston a long long way to get the job done.

EDIT: a kit like this with some tubing will give you everything you need to demonstrate this at home. I don't know the tube diameters but you can measure them and figure out the ratio pretty easily. https://www.amazon.com/Pack-Refilling-Liquids-cigs-juice/dp/B01CFJ51X4/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=syringe&qid=1562950408&s=gateway&sr=8-5

u/gogosolar · 7 pointsr/fountainpens

Changing colour or ink brand, yes, clean it by repeatedly flushing water through it until runs clear or get crazy - But unless you are having issues with the pen, best not to take it apart and just do the flush. I flush and then use an ultrasonic cleaner my son got me for Christmas if there are issues, or 'shimmer particles' still floating.

I would keep the empty cartridge as it holds almost twice as much ink as the converter does, but you will need a blunt syringe to fill it (see Amazon or vendors such as Goulet) Check your local pharmacy for ear-bulbs or even local Dollar stores or Walmart type stores.

I will use an empty/cleaned cartridge for things like Red Inks or Inks with Shimmer, as Red and some blue inks have a nasty habit of staining your converter/pen and Shimmer inks, as wonderful as they are to play with, are just a 'pain in the converter' to clean out.

2% is NOT high thc....it’s extremely low! I’d also recommend to use a heavy indica strain given what you’ve reported since you’re looking for more calming effects vs. high energy. Your specific condition could be the cause of how you’re not feeling any effects, so it’s probably best to significantly bump up your intake.

Buy distillate syringes ($65 at Surterra) and just make infused coconut oil. Distillate is up to 90% thc and will go a long way....Plus you can truly control your dosages by concentrating them as much as you’d like.

All you have to do is heat up unrefined coconut oil in a Pyrex container, put the distillate into the hot oil and start stirring for a few minutes. Once it emulsifies it’s ready to use. The distillate is very thick, so put the syringe into hot water for a minute So that it becomes less viscous and then remove the cap to dispense it.

Example - let’s say there’s 850mg of thc in one distillate syringe and you use 50ml of coconut oil.

850/50 = 17mg of thc per ml of oil. You aren’t just limited to using one distillate syringe - feel free to use more to make your infused oil more potent.

Buy a blunt tip luer lock syringe with ml measurements and then simply put it into your own empty capsules. You can buy the syringe and the capsules on amazon for very cheap. You can also use these blunt tip syringes to measure your coconut oil to ensure he dosages will be right. Links to the items you need below

https://www.amazon.com/Pack-Refilling-Liquids-cigs-juice/dp/B01CFJ51X4/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?keywords=blunt+tip+syringe&qid=1554677628&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1

https://www.amazon.com/NOW-Gel-Capsules-250-Empty/dp/B00E40DJ82/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?crid=3VTB07WR7494G&keywords=capsules+00&qid=1554677715&s=gateway&sprefix=capsules&sr=8-7

You can also dispense the distillate straight into your own cartridges and vape it, but be sure to use only a ceramic cartridge. Do not include any coconut oil into your vape...just distillate

u/rlperez · 3 pointsr/ResinCasting

I've spent the past year and a half or so dabbling in the wild world of miniature casting. From shoulder pads to lictors and here's what i've learned along the way :

-You resin and silicone are good choices! Muuuch better than oomoo 25 or whatever comes with the starter kit smooth on offers (it comes with a dvd , oomoo 25 silicone and some resin I can't think of right now)

-Invest. In. Syringes. go on amazon, get 10 cc/ml syringes and 14 gauge industrial needles (blunt tip https://www.amazon.com/Dispensing-Needle-Blunt-Inch-Long/dp/B016IEO53Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494237634&sr=8-1&keywords=14gauge+industrial+needles) because the problem with casting such tiny things is that it's hard to get a perfect cast. so inject the resin in ups the quality of the casts significantly.

-The final frontier for casting in such a small scale (dude i've been casting mk3 marines, shield drone parts, oodles of forty k noodles) if you want perfect casts or as close to perfect as you can get? A pressure pot. it's a bit pricey since you need to buy a pressure pot (90 to 100 USD ish from harbor freight) and a compressor (80 90 ish are harbor freight ) once you get a pressure pot set it to 2.3/3 bar or 35 to 40 psi it'll force all the potential bubbles to be so small that there will barely be any noticeable imperfections.

Sorry for the novel but I realized it's really tricky to find specific resources for miniature casting! Also this video is where I got started. Good luck!

Hey dude! I purchased a starter kit when I started making E-juice, and while it was helpful I quickly realized that I could of gotten more for less had I known what I needed. It is a lot cheaper to just buy the products individually since you will also be getting a larger amount too. Here are some links and in my opinion this is the cheapest way for someone to start DIY:

so, first and foremost, we're far more active on /r/RATS. (im basically subbed here to tell people this).

but, im currently going through this with two of my boys. They're both on antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory. What you can do in the mean time though, is take him into the bathroom and run the shower as hot as possible. Just hang out with him and let him breathe in the steamed air. You can dilute some honey in some water and feed that to him. I suggest getting a non-needle syringe. something like this. you can find them at pharmacies. You can use this to feed him water and the honey mixture. Dark chocolate is good too. there's some sort of chemical in that that helps them breathe. I also heard you can give him rosemary but ive never tried that.

The biggest thing that helped was firm tapping with my finger on the side of his body right behind his arm. Dean boggles now when i do this to him and he's not even really sick anymore.

The Capsule Machine x4

You can knock out 96 caps, one after the next. If you fill the capsule machines by doing the tops all at once, and then the bottoms. You'll find that it's much more efficient.

The most important part is the Luer lock bottles. They provide the ultimate control and efficiency. I can cap 4-cups of oil in under two-hours. With a varying selection of syringes it was taking four to five hours. What's worse is you have this giant bowl of odorous oil filling the air. Placing all of the oil in bottles virtually eliminates that odor. Fill em up and then lick the bowl, spoon, and micro funnel. You'll need it for the mind numbing repetitive task ahead. If you bust through it you'll be handsomely rewarded at about the same time you finish.

I work in a lab and use sterile syringes all the time! I checked and you can get them on Amazon fairly cheaply. If you go this route, be sure to get luer slip instead of luer lock (the latter has threads on the outside of the tip for screwing a needle onto and would get in the way for this purpose). A quick search found these: 3ml Syringe Sterile with Luer Slip Tip - 100 Syringes by BH Supplies (No Needle) Individually Sealed https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BQGVVSC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_1yGYDbWMJ0A4J
I'm not sure what kind of volume you're expressing, but they have 10ml ones too. Easiest thing would probably be to express into a sterile container and use the syringe to transfer to a storage bag. Although now that I'm thinking about it, could you just pour it into the storage container? Whatever you decide, good luck with your little one!

I did the same thing, recently, and got mine in black for $3.41 shipped Prime via Amazon:

I should also mention this set of syringes with blunt tips because I'm particularly happy with them:

Pilot Blue Black is commonly enjoyed by people, it's a good basic blue with some water resistance. Pilot Blue has even more resistance but it's lighter...

I personally use Pilot Black in a lot of my pens but it's not a very dark black. These Pilot inks are more about utility than fancy color.

Refilling cartridges is a good lifestyle. I wish I did that from the start - it's actually less work than refilling a converter. (No 'wiping off the nib' and the syringe cleans out very easily.)

u/dj_blueshift · 1 pointr/CBD

Hello, do not mix distillate with pg/vg. It will precipitate out. People say you can vape pure distillate in ceramic carts/pods but it might be slow to get started because it's so thick. What you want to do is get some flavorless terpenes to thin out the distillate.

This is what I see recommended a bunch but there are others: https://buy-terpenes.com/products/viscosity/viscosity-extract-liquifier/

I'm in the same boat as you so this is my process:

I bought a small beaker:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003TVF9WQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and some blunt-tip syringes:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y2JWDQ3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm going to place the distillate in the beaker and microwave for 10 seconds.
Add 4 drops of Viscosity and stir well with the tip of a syringe.
Repeat, if needed, until a decent consistency, then transfer to the pod using the syringe.

*don't let the distillate get too hot as the terpenes and CBD will start to vaporize/evaporate past a certain temp.

Ideally you'd want to use a hot plate with a magnetic stirrer, but those are a bit expensive if you're not running a commercial operation.

Super important to note that guinea pigs can’t produce vitamin C and need supplements. You can also get liquid vitimin C and small syringes from a vets office or online to give them daily. Mine think it’s a treat!

Examples:

Vitimin C: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00016RLSC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_XgPPDb6004AC1

Syringes: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N01TO2O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_ziPPDb57CGQPG

The syringes can be rinsed out with water and reused!

In that case, the syringe is pretty handy to have. I got this variety pack from Amazon < link > so I could try different sizes, and the 1ml (smallest one) ended up working the best for me to load the B-coil.

I would LOVE to find a glass airless pump bottle though!

A fill syringe is awesome for decanting. You don't have to touch the product, and don't expose as much to air! I got the kind for glycerin and they work pretty well. The thicker creams are a pain, but you can use a syringe if you have patience.

It depends on what you want to take. The dosages on here range from 2.5,5 to 10, 10 being the most. People seem to swear by the 2.5-5 range but I personally like 10. Maybe try 5 your first go around.

So here’s how I would do it

Get PG solution bundle from the source below, it has the solution and dropper bottles.

https://whitewaterresearch.com

And get a beaker from amazon, this is what I have

Karter Scientific 214T2, 3.3 Boro, Griffin Low Form, Glass Beaker Set - 3 Sizes - 50ml, 100ml, 250ml https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01F47B8AO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ZCUyDb3YNPV8V

I would personally make a 50 ml solution.

Take the 50 ml beaker, fill up to 50ml line, dump in powder, mix (it may need to sit), poor into bottles and you’re done.

With that ratio of 50ml to your 1mg of powder you are looking at 20mg per ml (one dropper full)

So then you just math what you want. If you want to take 10mg then it’s half the dropper, if you want to take 5mg then it’s 1/4 the dropper.

If you want to be super precise with your dosing you can get one of these

BSTEAN 1ml 1cc Syringe with Luer Slip Tip, No Needle, Non-Sterile (Pack of 50) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N01TO2O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_OGUyDb8DK6M6F

I personally like these because it does make it precise and the pipettes that come with the bottles tend to be shit.

I got this from Max vapor nail. Refillable cartridge:

To add on to OP, a good solution for dosing in smaller tanks:

u/xxtidariusxx · 5 pointsr/Vaping

all it takes is a bit of simple math. you can buy everything you need aside from the liquid nicotine on amazon. i myself use 100%vg juice so i dont buy pg at all but a large bottle of vg will run you about 20 to 25 dollars, 1 gallon for me is 22 at the moment. you can also find packs of empty bottles for around 10 bucks, then youll need measuring syringes for mixing, flavor drops and the nicotine all of which are linked below.

i would just mix small batches first if you arent sure what a juice would taste like after your done then mix a full bottle, this way you can experiment with flavor mixes and see what you can create.

for a 100 ml bottle its really easy youll just need to figure out how much nic to put in, i vape at 6% nic so i measure out 94 ml of vg and the last remaining 6 ml i put in as the nicotine, after that the base is done, then just drop in the flavor drops, shake it like crazy, let it settle for a bit and boom juice done.

there are also some sites out there with premade mixture recipes that you can find and follow

That oil is very viscous you won’t be pouring it anywhere. (And those carts suck IMO). To answer your question, you need some blunt tipped syringes. I found a variety pack on amazon for less than $10.

I emptied one on these apex and another similar one from theory wellness (again, bad cart) into used mostly empty ones from sage (really good cart). Works fantastic.

To reduce viscosity and make it easier to suck up with the syringe, use a hairdryer on warm to throughly heat the cart and oil.

Know how that goes, tip for ya next time (three cats here, all have needed pills at one point or another, one of them has lung nodules and needed medication for a year two pills twice a day).

Short answer, dissolve the pills in a bit of water and then use a needless syringe to squirt into back of throat. I actually think it's easier on the cat and the human vs the method shown in the image. It's also handy if you need to split tiny pills into say quarters. Dissolve pill in 4 mL of water and then just give 1mL dosage. Make sure to ask your vet if that method is OK for the pills before doing.

Things you'll need:

  • Mortar and pestle. Used to crush the pill into a powder.

  • syringes.

Crush the pill in mortar & pestle. Dump powder into syringe tube. Fill with water and shake. Squirt into back of kitties mouth and done.

Also, this is assuming there isn't a liquid version of the medicine. I always ask the vet.
